Hello Chickies.. We had a horrible storm yesterday.. The electric went off..we had high winds..thunder..lightening and hail..and heavy rain...It was so scarey....I could not go to water class..The electric was off for 3 hours and I was so worried that it would not come back on...I remember last year when it was off for a week.. I guess I am leary cause of that... I have a patio full of leaves and sticks to clean today and I hope we dont get another storm.. It looks possible cause of the hurricane near the Bahamas..
There is another Hurricane out there..I heard it on the morning news..I hope they both blow out to sea....I hope to get ot class tonight...I have to make up for lost time yesterday..with house work and laundry...SOOOO I better get off of her and get with it...

Hello Chickies...Sorry that this will be a short post.. we had another real bad storm last night and of course it started when we were to go to the gym. I called the gym and they closed the pool untill the storm was over.. and that means our class was canceled. I cant get over this weather we are having..
The electric flicked on and off but we didnt lose power like yesterday..
My computer was acting up and now I hope its OK..The weather man is calling for more of the same tonight and this weekend.. I hope that it blows away soon..I hava the dinner to go to tonight for Buddy...so I hope not to get drowned..:lol:

Hi guys. Just a quick post again and I may lay down for a quick nap before starting school pick up in an hour.

Donna will you get to go to MB this week? I know they have some evacuations already down there with that hurricane coming. It looks more like it will hit the grand strand with tropical storm force. I hope it works out for you.

Rosey I'm sorry you've been sick. As for the storms, I kinda agree with you. I hate the bad ones but I do like thunder and such as long as it's not real electrical. Have your grandchildren got back to school yet?

Summer it is so busy picking brett up because the high school and middle school are in together. They are on the same little road and it's only a few yards between pick up for both schools. The roads merge in together which are chaotic. I hope that these storms are gone before you guys head to MB. Theres another storm brewing up heading this way too. I think it would be called Danielle.

My cousin just found out she was pregnant like 2 weeks ago and yesterday she started spotting and they did an internal ultrasound and saw the baby didn't have arms and legs. It's trying to miscarry and the Dr. sent her home and said in 5 days or so she should pass it all. It's sad to think of that. She's 12 weeks pregnant which was the same time that I had difficulty with my last pregnancy which turned out to be a diagnosis with twins.

My sister wants the family to come over to her new house tomorrow for a cook out and to basically "show off" her new house. I just am really not in a mood for gloating right now and I"m tired physically as well. My mama is ill at me for not saying that i will definately be there. This will be Dh's only weekend off in august that we can spend together as a family. He will have one off in 2 more weeks but we have a birthday party in a town about 45 minutes from here as well as the "smith" reunion that I have been to a few times but for free food- I'm there!

Well I need to get up from here and get something done or maybe I will lay down a little bit and watch All My Children. Hope you all stay safe and sound this weekend.

Hi everyone..im still busy and have company still..the dd and sil and grkids went on an overnite campout and fishing trip with the dd cousin..my niece has a boat and motor and her girls are my grnadkids age..so i packed them up this am and they got going like ahurd of turtles..yesterday they were in Homer alaska..its at the end of our peinnsula.. very beautiful town with mts and beaches..the grkids brought back shells they had gotton on the beach and wanted grma to make necklaces out of them..being the "crafty" person that i am.. i got out my "own" little dremel tool and drilled holes in the top of the shells and strung them on a leather thong.. they looked neat and the kids thought it made them look like indians..gotta love their imaginations :lol:..they will be back tomorrow night and then head home on sunday..its been fun to have them but oh so busy..my dh is heading back to the cabin this aftnoon..hes getting ready for moose hunting..i need a long winters nap :lol: but after a few days of rest i will wish them back..dana am so glad to here from you..sorry about your cousins baby..how sad..am glad im not the only one who likes storms..summer sorry you couldnt exercise..as soon as school starts i am going back to curves.. right now we have a babysitter problem as im the only one that can watch hailey and since we exercise together my dd and i its just not worked out( gosh isnt that to bad :lol: :?: :lol: )at any rate for sure when school starts..hope your stroms stop.. they must be bad if they close businesses..hello to donna, kris, daphnee and mr ken..will check in alter everyone((((((hugs))))))) rosey :wave:

Hi everyone this will be a quick post. I hope that you all got the e mail from me about Tony. I am still crying and feeling like crap now. Here is the rest of the story that I was not able to say in the e mail. His gramma told me that Papa was driving that a deer jumped out in front of them and grandpa swerved to miss the deer and lost control hit the ditch. hmmmm was kinda fishy but I was to worried to think bout it. Tony calls me later and is whispering to me. He said Mom I was driving, Papa wasn't even with me. He said that he remembers something about pasing a car on the straightway but he isn't sure if he did or it was a dream. He also can't remember if he took his friend home. Tony said he went round the corner (they just repaved the road with rock and it is slick) and lost control. He went to the other side of the road and hit a tree. His voice was shaking and he said Mom if not for that tree I would be not be here today I would have gone 150 feet down the embankment. It is so hard to not be there. He is upset that I was not called last night about accident and that his gramma lied to me. Honestly right now I am so angry at the stupid lying B**** I would love to beat her up. I am thankful my baby is OK but so angry at how they all treat me. Oh they are telling the insurance company that Delton was driving to protect Tony. If they find out it was him driving he will not be able to afford insurance. I also don't know if that would mean losing his license with the new laws. I am so thankful that he did not have another kid in the truck with him. He just lost 2 friends in a car accident 2 months ago I am sad that he was not more careful with his driving. Oh and his grandpas truck is a total.

Hello Chickies.... Today is a cloudy and sorta hot day.. It was sunny yesterday..I had so many things going on yesterday..went to see Bert..
She was doing ok.. and now some friends want to give Buddy a BD party..so all of that is in the planning stages.. I am trying to get ready for a gig at thw Moose this Saturday..We are playing after the Shrimp feast...
I am blessing the house and laundry as usual.. Went to class last night....

hey guys just a quick check in. I am here.

Hi everyone:wave: I am here again. I was able tog et Tony Sunday morning so I have been with him since then. I had to bring him home today so I am sad again. I really had a good time with him this visit. He was really shaken by the accident and he was so damn sweet to me. My baby kissed me on the lips! OK if you have little ones that is no biggie. Tony is almost 18 and it has been kisses on the cheek if I am lucky. He had just seen me and turned and hugged me tight said he loved me and bam! Kisses on my lips. OK does that sound dorky or what? He even gave me kisses the whole time he was here and would come and hug me. I have a zillion call to make so I can't post much for now. I was up with Tony until 1AM and then woke with Jason at 4:30 today. Needles to say I am kind of dead. I was going to take a nap but the air/heater guys will be here in 15 to 45 minutes. So I will just collasp today when they leave. I saw where Tony had the accident and dang it was close. @ weeks ago a lady went off the road in the same area and died from the crash. I hope this at least will teach Tony to drive safer and appreciate the small things in life more. Both of which I am proud to say he was while here. I GOT LIP KISSES!!!!!!!!!!

I all sorry I didnt get in here yesterday. I was so busy..
A friend of mine had carpal-tunnel surgery on her hand over 6 weeks ago and her hand its still not right.. I am trying to get her another oppinion and different Dr.. I cant beleive how this Dr. that did the surgery is so matter-of-fact with her. He is not really giving any good reasons why the surgery didnt obviously work and so on.. She is a basket case from pain and depression from the pain. She takes care of her 3 year old granddaughter full time and works too.
Thats another story but I am trying to help her..
She cannot go back to work in this condition and she is worried about that too.. She is a very independant person and she is use to doing everything for herself.. With-out a right hand that is very hard and thats why she is so very upset.. I feel so bad for her
Its unreal to me how this surgeon is so uncaring..I personally think he has messed-up the surgery and he is trying to put her off on someone else..
I could go into all of that but trust me it all points to him being in the wrong.
He told her to see the nerve Dr again.. and maybe her pain is from something else.. and so on.. These to me are excuses.. You would have to be here to see what I mean.. He is tooo much.. That sounds terrible for me to say but I beleive it in my heart.. You just never know now days..I am trying to help her find another Dr to see..Its very time consuming and not easy as Drs dont want to say bad about another Dr..You all know what I mean..but she needs help and I am determined to see she gets some.
I will be busy this week with that...I went to the gym last night....I was beat when I got home...I guess I really did to much..if thats possible.:lol:..
I have more calls to make..so I have to run.. I will try to get in here as soon as I can... I have class tonight and we play on Sat.. More things to do for that..Should be alot of fun..My Plate is running over lately..:lol:...

Morning everyone :coffee: we finaly got some rain last night..its been unseaonably hot and dry this summer..theres 95 fires burning in alaska according to our papers and sometimes its hazzy from the smoke..did anyone watch the gymnastics last night on the olympics it was totaly awsome..summer you are one busy lady and such a good friend..my puter still acting up..it will just freeze for no reason..and nothing will work..but to shut it done and reboot..this is my 2nd try at posting today :?: i finally got a hold of the lady that orders cards from me..i like the business but shes hard to deal with.. every time the fees part comes up she argues with me and says i didnt charge that last order..but she wrong..and after i explain she backs down but acts like im cheating her..i think she's hoping i will forget and go with what she says..im not dumb tho and since this happens every time and my fees are always the same i just go with it..but it is irratating :?: an order for 300 cards is just to tempting to turn down..theres an article in the new womens magazine called FIRST aug 23 issue.. its about carb cravings and was really informative about how hidden food additives affect sugar levels and carb cravings..and some suggestions for help and what to look for in the ingrediants on labels that even tho they are locarb no sugar labeled that the additives actually boost sugars levels etc..for us diebetics its worth reading and for locarb dieters anyways it made sence to me so check it out..hope you all are having a great day .. the dh just came in with one perfect rose from my rose bushes for me.. he can be sweet :lol: (((((((hugs))))))) rosey:wave:

If I were you Rosey, I would tell who ever is asking you to a party that you need to be home in case he calls you from the cabin? That is if you REALLY don't want to go cause it's good to get out you know. With all those fires going on, is it making it hotter there? Are any of them near you? As for your cards, get you one of those receipt pads that has the carbon copies in them and before you make the cards, write down how many along with you quote and give it to her. Then when you're done with the cards, she can't argue then.

I don't really have to tell you all that I have been swamped here. I am waiting on some supper to cook and DH will be home in half hour. The kids seem to be fine in school. No grades home yet but the boys had a lot of tests on friday so I'm sure I will hear something from that soon. The traffic is pretty bad during pickup but laken's aide brings her out on first bell so that helps me by a couple minutes. Then friday, logan said his teacher said he could go on with laken if he preferred so that would put me even closer in line at middle school.

We went to our high school football game last night and they won 17 to 6. It was the first time they won their opener since 1995 and they only won 3 games the last 2 seasons. They have a brand new coach and quarterback this year so I expect some changes in them. We left the game with 4 minutes to go and just got in our car (long walk) and it had been popping lightning and all of a sudden it poured rain and became a severe storm with 75 mph wind gusts. We listened to the rest of the game on radio on our slow way home and they did manage to finish it but I heard they were soaked and traffic jams everywhere. We were just too smart to leave at that time. We went to their scrimmages last week and got caught in a bit of traffic so we learned from that.

Summer I hope you have a blast today with your gig. I'm sure you will tell us all about it. My grandpa is fine. He finished all his treatments and is still really weak. He is threatning to get on top of one of his barns to do some work but the man just recently fell out of his shower. He thinks he can move mountains but for now an ant hill would give him trouble. Thursday me and Dh went to my other grandmas to take her a lawn mower she bought and when DH went to get some gas he saw what either looked like a copperhead or some type of an albino snake hanging off a rafter in the roof of the storage building. It had us scared stiff and he's the only one who saw the thing. Either way it had to be poisonous. So we tell nanny not to go out there a few days and give him time to get out of there. We figured the lawn mower noise was enough to scare him out. Anyway later that day she evidently went back out there and is trying to tell us that he saw a baby yellow kitten but we both know a kitten cant hang over a beam like a shoestring. He even saw it fall. Gives me shivers just to talk about it.

Donna did you get back? Did you see any damage down there? The governor tried to get some federal aid for the coast but he was denied. I just wondered how bad it was.

Dana i hate snakes but hate frogs more. Well we don't have the hugh snakes like you do so maybe I would change my mind. We don't even have poisioness snakes around here. :lol::lol::lol:Moose, buffalo whats the difference? They are both big and full of meat! Jason is going deer hunting October 16th I belive. It will be his first time since he was a kid I think. Well he is just 33 and I guess since he was early 20s.
I know I was saying rain would be nice but we are setting records now with the rain. The creek is all swollen:lol: what a old fashioned saying that is! The river banks are to the brim as well. All this with just 24 hours of rain! We are supposed to have rain thru Thursday as well.
The kids start school in 17 days! They go back September 7th AMEN!!! I will be walking each day as soon as the last bus comes. I really am excited about getting some free time again. Then I get to think about halloween and Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS!!!!! Oh I love Christmas!

I am home. We arrived back on Saturday instead of Friday as said. :) There was some damage to my Dad's house but Jim and a friend of his that came with us was able to fix it. Dana, there were some damage that I saw but nothing devastating. Never saw any places completely destroyed like hurricane's past. I feel SC was spared unlike Florida.

Elena started back to school today so I've been busy doing some must needed blessing of my house plus trying to get caught up on email and such. I walked every day at the beach but ate enough to make all that voided out. LOL :lol: :rofl:

Sorry that I havent been in here earlier.. Times flies everyday..
The gig went great.. we had alot of fun.. I hope to have a few pictures after I finish the camera..I have a few left to take before I get them developed..

I have some many things to do today.. but I want a little time in the sun...Its a beautiful blue skys today..I have to take advantage of it..
Its warm and pleasant..not to many of these days and I want to be out there.:lol:...I had company yesterday...and planning a BD party for Buddy..
I hope to get that all set up soon seeing how it is this Saturday the 28th.
His BD is the 6th of Sept..but thats a holiday weekend and people are doing different things..so hopefully I can get everyone there this Saturday afternoon. Berty is doing well..Thank-you to everyone that asked about her and Buddy.. I appreciate it.
Sounds like everyone had a good weekend and Thank-you Rosey for always being here and faithfully posting.. I just wanted you to know that..not to say that any one neglects to do that.. I know that everyone is so busy..I do understand..but Rosey is always here and I do appreciate all her efforts..

I am back...Whew.... I am tired..We had the teacher we normally have on Thursday night and she did a whole new routine.
She was filling in for our regular Monday night teacher..
She wore me out..:lol:

I am glad that the children are doing well and adapting to the new school year.. I am so happy to hear that your grandpa is doing so well.. I know that he is happy not to have anymore treatments....I know that he is weak but thinks he can still do everything.. Men are like that..:lol:..

I got one not to long ago and I will need another one soon. My stylist is leaving again to finish things with her Mom's Estate.. She passed away a month ago..So I have to get my hair cut before she leaves. She wont be back for a month..She goes out of town.. I feel so sorry for her..She misses her Mom so very much.. Thats so understandable...

They says its less fat and tastes good..Its not cheap meat either.. Its in the gormet section of the grocery...I myself have never eaten any..
