Good morning! My mother returns to FL today, so I should return to my normal posting after that.
Michelle - she gave me the Nuvoring to try for two months and, if I don't like it, we'll try something else. Interesting that it made you gain. My body is very strange and I am very affected by birth control hormones. I was taking the mini-pill (progesterone only) and that was okay, so I'm waiting to see how I do with this one. My midwife said it has a low dose of hormone, so maybe I'll be okay with it.
Hi, Pattie! Welcome! I'm mother to one six-month-old son named Liam and wife to a wonderful DH named Jonathan. Oh, and I have a fur-baby - a doggie named Duncan

Hmm . . . have you asked the Jenny Craig people about the loss rate? Maybe that's normal for their program, but I do understand your frustration. On the other hand, I think they say slower loss is better in the long run for maintainance. I just switched to Weight Watchers and will begin it this week (as soon as my kit arrives from them).
Crystal - Hi! Well, at least DH is willing to do something if he so chooses - it seems like birth control tends to fall on the shoulders of women. So, would you like more children? I do at some point, but want to give my body a chance to recover from the c-section and all. Also, I'm freaked out that I had pre-eclampsia and am trying to figure out how likely that is to happen again. Do you enjoy being pregnant? I love being pregnant - I felt better pregnant than I've ever felt in my life!

Glad you enjoyed the zoo. As for outside temptations - is there a way you can bring healthy snacks with you so you're less tempted?
Spryng - the nuvaring (I haven't read far enough down to know if Michelle answered this, so sorry if I repeat) is inserted once a month - you insert it yourself. Then you take it out on day 21 -they give you an alarm clock thing that goes off on day 21, get your period and put another ring in within five days of your period starting. But, like the patch, you only have to think about it once a month essentially. HTH! I've never tried the spagetti squash, but have seen it. Now that you say it's good, maybe I'll try it!
Penny - glad you enjoyed the reunion! How awesome that you didn't even try any of the less healthy foods there.
Hi, Misty! Nice to meet you. I have a six-and-a half-moth-old - born in October! I'm also trying to lose my post-pregnancy weight . . . 30 lbs! I just bought a WW intro kit on ebay - so we could do it together along with Sarah (I think it's Sarah who will be starting WW too).
Melinda - how did JW like swimming? Liam loves the water.
Hi, Ricci!
