  • Lisa- So sorry to hear about your loss. Our pets are a part of our family and it hurts just as much as any other loss. I had to put my 14 year old cat to sleep a few months ago. I still sometimes think I hear him mewing around the house. Good job not eating over eat.

    Tiffany- Welcome to the race.

I had another bust of an eating day. I was avoiding my housecleaning and adjusting to no kids again. Avoidance and lonely. Gee, ya think I am an emotional eater? Lol. What is it going to take to get me on track? I might ry the homemade frozen dinner thing again. I think it was Jodi or Heather that used to plan their whole week that way. If possible can you tell me some of the things you would make and freeze? Glad or Dixie or one of them make those nice disposable divider plates that have tops. They would be great to put a piece of baked chicken, brown rice, and a veggie in the freezer.

    Have a great night all.

  • Hi Chicks. My world is very busy but I am keeping all my eggs in my basket. The food thing is not great but not horrific either.

HUGS to those of you in heartache. I wish I had time to say more!
  • Good evening everyone,
Thankyou everyone for your kind words. I got some sleep this afternoon for about 4 hrs. After not sleeping last night, I was feeling pretty wiped out.
I didn't excersise yesterday or today but I will make up for it by excersising this weekend. I had decided to do my workouts Monday-Friday and take weekends off, but will use this upcoming weekend to catch up on what I missed.
food wise..I am doing just fine with that. I have managed to stay away from the soda going on 9 days now which is quite an accomplishment for me. I used to drink from 6 cans to 12 cans a day. That's a whopping amount of calories, sugar and sodium by itself and was one of my biggest problem area's.
I miss the carbornation (fizzy bubbles) but I haven't found a flavored sparkling water I like. I cannot stand the after taste of the diet sodas and some of the sparkling waters. Aspertame is the nastiest stuff they could of ever invented and splenda is not much better. so...for right now, its just plain old H2O and hot tea/coffee.
Anyway's, I better get back to cleaning up the house....
  • Hi again,
Wanted to post my weigh-in result's. This is my first week. I started on 1st September 2005. I stood on the scale this morning and couldn't believe my eyes. so I stood on the scale about 5 more times lol.
I have lost.........9lbs this week (yeahhhh)
now before anyone nags at me for this being alot of week to lose in one week lol...alot of this weight is purely water that I have been retaining. but whether it's water or not..I am taking this loss and running with it (hehe)

Lookey....I got to move my little weight tracker a few notches...yeahhhh
I love these little tools....they really boost your moral.
  • TGIF for sure!! Happy Friday all!

Things are running smoothly for me. OP AND walking, yehaaa, I finally am moving. This will be my 4th day of walking. Can't wait till Monday night to WI at WW. I feel like I have lost.

Welcome to the race Tiffany. We are the best bunch of beautiful ladies with tremendous support.

Sue - I eat the frozen Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones for lunch here at work almost daily. The Smart Ones by WW, seem tastier, could be I am partical tho. LOL I freeze a lot of cooked chicken for future use. Chicken salad made w/FF mayo is one of my very favorites, then on Bread of Life/Lite Wheat bread (2 pieces only 1 WW point) is simply delicious.

Lisa - Great job living without the sodas. That right there can make you lose 9 lbs. Congrats on your loss, stick with it and stay focused. "WE" can do this!

Holly - Thanks for dropping in, I know you are always on the move! Have a great weekend!

Hello to all I may have missed. Have a marvy weekend, exercise, stay OP and focused!

    Chat at cha on Monday!

  • I am feeling super empowered with every aspect of my life. I am victorious in how well I came through this summer with a huge work load and still have all my marbles intact and feeling only slightly burned out!!!
It is a thrill that DS started school without a single trauma.
I have accomplished a lot for the church and school council.Avon is zooming along. I achieved all my goals for this week with ease.
I am monumentally busy but feel so happy and lighthearted.
This morning was the first day in a year and a half where I didn’t feel desperate to journal and connect with someone here. There were days when all that kept me moving forward was this site and the friends I have made here.
I feel as content as I did 9 years ago when I was running my business and newly with DH before all the crazies popped out of the wood work and the world went nuts. The upside is the incredible wisdom that makes it even better.
I have always believed my weight is a symptom of dis-ease within myself. After almost 2 years of constant soul searching and life changing I feel able to let this 40 lbs go.
Me and DH 8 years ago before the wieght gain. This is my goal!!

  • Holly, you are so beautiful. What a gorgeous couple.
  • Good morning everyone,
Finally "****" week is over at work.
Once a month we sell rv's, boats and such. It is much more demanding. Lot's of climbing, and stooping. In the summer it just drains me. Oh! so much to look forward to. Next week it's big trucks. So we have 2 crazy weeks a month. 11 1/2 years you would think I would find something better to do... LOL
With the holiday last mon I only made it to curves once, but I plan to go this am.
I've been in my point range since tuesday. During the holiday weekend I went over everyday. It showed during my WI. I only lost 1lb... I'll take it.

Holly: Good morning my busy friend. You both look so happy in that picture.
Ya'll are a beautiful couple. Seems to me you are in your groove now. Just enjoy the ride. (((HUGS)))

Tiffany: WELCOME!! We are glad to have you here.

Annie: Good job with the walking. I walk when it is cooler. I can't handle it when it's in the 90's+

Lisa: WOW!! What a fantastic loss. You are rocking on now. No one will shoot you down here. You are doing great. Kicking sodas and sweet tea was one of my biggest challenges. Water weight is weight and it now is gone. GREAT JOB!
I was sorry to hear about your dog. (((HUG)))

I'll catch up with everyone next time. I have to get running. I have to go run some errands and go to curves... later
  • HI Deb!
Hello to the newbies, hugs to the old regulars, LOL!
    Still on the fly today.
    Sleepy and Happy.
A little Sneezy from allergies. No Grumpies in site. Snow White is watching cartoons and the boys are long gone to hockey.
I must be back into a routine I woke on my own at 6:30am. Go back to sleep Dopey; and i did.
It is so peaceful here without those stomping, bellowing grunting men. LOL!
Today is all about Avon and peach jam. I will not even look out the window at the garden.
I did an Avon run last night and got some orders out and a dropped some books off.
Yesterday morning I took the 3 preschoolers to the Early Years playgroup and then we walked around town. It was 23C, sunny and breezy.I was kidless by 1:20. I watched my soap and dated Avon books. I went back to town and picked up an air hockey table at the thrift shop for $8. Air hockey is FUN. All it was missing was the puck. The tomato slice from the kitchen set works perfect LOL!!
I was in bed at 9:30. I am reading an Anna Quinlan book and dosed off pretty early.
Those stomping, snorting boys are here(Spazzy and Stompy the new dwarves) best go feed them.

    SS and hockey tomorrow.

    Have a blessed day!
  • Hi everyone,
Hope your all having a great weekend. Not much going on this weekend here. Going to catch up on some house cleaning and laundry today (uuuggg). The laundry is jumping out at me and shouting "WASH ME"..and that's a pretty bad sign that I haven't been keeping up on it lol.
My boys are outside doing "chore's" haha...
My hubby called!! YEAHHHHH...he is out in the middle of the pacific but they have one "ship to shore' phone (sailor phone) that occasionally get's turned on and so he was able to call. We spoke for about 25 minutes or so. The boys were excited to hear from daddy.
Well, I better get my butt in gear...the dirty clothes are starting to throw boxes of "Tide" at me hahaha

p.s Holly....I used to be an Avon lady....did it for 8 years and loved it!! Had my own Avon mobile and everything. Since moving to CA last year, living out here in the boonies, I haven't got back into it
  • Hello,
We got home last night from vacation. I had a great time. I KNOW I ate to much. I didn't totally pig out but I ate whatever I wanted when we went out to eat. I can really feel it in my clothes. I'm spending the weekend eating fresh veggies and protein and a lot of water!

I'm really looking forward to fall now. I feel like it's time for a change and I'm ready to get back into a routine.

I want to welcome TifRn and DesertDustBunnies and I'm sorry to hear about your pet.

I've been cleaning house most of the day, and I have been doing laundry all day long too. I just want to get everything caught up and squared away.

Holly: You have a wonderful smile, such a pretty lady! How did you get that photo to show up in your post?

Girle: Did you make it to the exercise class?

Debbie: Glad to see that you still showed a loss at weighin

Suzy: I am an emotional eater also. It doesn't have to be a bad emotion eithier. I read a article in Shape magazine about that recently. I think I'll get it back out and see what I can share from it, maybe we can both find something in there to help us with that demon?!

I hope everyone else is doing well, if not, post anyway so we can help each other to get over the setback and move on.

We are headed over to see our friends and pass out gifts that we picked up for their girls on our trip.

    I'll talk to you tomorrow.

  • Too early for Sunday
It's too early to be up on a Sunday morning (4:30am). I'm used to getting up at this time on the weekdays, since I'm usually at work by 6am. My silly dog wakes me up this early every day; I guess his biological clock is set for this time, all the time. Oh well.

Lately I've been so discouraged about finances. Seems like I'm always in a hole. I'm not a great money-manager, so I guess I just need to pay more attention and be more careful. Those litle $10 and $15 purchases add up and really get me in trouble.

Yesterday I could not bring myself to go to the gym, but I did WATP 2-mile; man, did that kill me! I've been doing water aerobics, but that walk was hard!!

I'm going to go for now. My home computer seems much slower when I'm on 3FC so I'll post when I get to work tomorrow. Have a great day.
  • Hi Heather,
Way 2 Go on that 2 miles walk!! That's awesome. I am doing the WATP dvd's too. I am waiting for my 1,2 and 4 miles dvd's to come in the mail. I bought the Walk & Jog WATP dvd at Walmart and I love it..so I ordered a few more from BestBuy so I can alternate between them all.
I only wish I could go to water aerobics That is an awesome workout and really keep's you toning at the ame time as losing. About 4 years ago I used to do both deep water and shallow water aerobics but since moving out in the boonies, lol, we do not have public pool facilities...I even drove to the closest military base, about 25 miles away, and though they have a pool, they have no classes.
I know what you mean about silly dogs...both my "puppies" (well, one has since passed away) they make it a habit to jump right on top of me around 5am each morning. Booboo, the one we just lost, he was spoiled. at night, the only way he would settle down was too sit directly on my chest with his nose right by my chin LOL. As long as he was comfy..it didnt matter about anyone else. HAHAHA
My older "puppy" Cody, (he is 12 years old lol), around 5am each morning he starts barking at the foot of the bed and then jumps up as if to say "HEY!! cmon...it's time to let us out!"
Well, I better stop rambling about my doggies...or I will be here all day. LOL
  • WOW Holly...
Is that the same room....ummm can you come on over here and see if there is something you can do with my house LOL. That is a tremendous transformation and your "new" basement looks great.
