So, Dee and I must be the only coffee drinkers here? Dee, Steve says I make "cowboy coffee" meaning its a little on the strong side. But I bet mine is still weaker then what you canadians are use to. I like my beer weak, coors light or bud light for me, Steve likes his very full bodied like his home brew.

No, I drink coffee too, but I don't like it strong. I'm on my 3rd cup right now, and my cup is about 12 oz.

sorry ive been mia!
my mom fell again and this time we had the ambulance take her to the hospital,my dad raised such a fuss to the dr. saying its so hard on me i need her to walk.
my dad has had heart surgeries but he is one of those type people who hafta have the attension,ok,that being said,the dr.ordered her to live in a rehab home for intense aggressive therapthy.
its been since i lasted posted,but its so hard for me to see her grueling schedule and to see her in such pain.
she is making progress however,
she has started to get seizures now.
they have ran some tests there neg. for epilepsy sp?
they say she isd doing well and walking on the walker could come home 3/10 but now dads like i want her walking on her own.
there on medicare wont pay past that date.
now my mom is depressed bout coming home,
oh im simply exhaused!!!!!!
tween taking care of dh homeschooling dd babysitting my dad running back and forth to see mom.......zzzzzzzzzz!

Doni, once your mom is out of the rehab home, could she have in-home health care? this is a tempory serviced offered and I believe, she could still benefit from it even if medicare or medicaid isn't available. Why don't you visit with her Doctor and see if this service is available in your area. Sounds like dad is trying his best to stress everyone out, I hope he can settle in so your mom can have a speedy recovery. I will be sending prayers and get well wishes your way.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. James came home from work sick Friday, but is feeling much better this morning. Some kind of bad virus. I only had a mild case of it, really watching what I ate all weekend.

The rude awakening that I wanted after my birthday, really came true. Does everyone realize that it is only 12 weeks until Memorial Day? Summertime once again!!! 96 days to either do this thing or forget it!! Right?? So I have decide to DO IT!!! Or give it my best shot. I just don't want to spend another FAT summer. I refuse to!
I'm in for the summer count-down!! Anyone want to join me?

Doni......Sounds like you have really been going through it with your parents. Hope your Mom as a speedy recovery and you can keep your Dad in line. Stay in touch with us, we worry about you.

Debbie-Can you believe it? School's almost out! BTW, did I tell you I am officially a 12 mos. employee? I won't get quite a few of the holidays off, but it will mean $4000.00 more per year. This doesn't start until July 1, so I still will get spring break this year starting Mar. 15.

I'm taking Brutus Monday morning for more blood tests. I talked to a bird doctor and explained everything to him. He did say that birds don't live as long in captivity, so the life expectancy of parrots are more like 40-45 years. He warned me that the last geriatric bird he had on his table was very ill and as soon as he started to take blood it had a heart attack and died. That bird was very sick though. The owner waited until the bird was listless and staying on the bottom of his cage. I'll find out tomorrow a little more. I guess my Paypal money will be spent on Brutus. They couldn't even tell me how much it is going to cost. The only thing that the receptionist kept saying when I made the appointment and told her his age was oh my god!! She kept saying it about his age. I guess I have been truly blessed that he has lived this long. When the vet asked me the age of the other birds, I realized that they are getting up there too! Honey is about 17 or 20 years and Hawkeye is probably 15. My how time flies!

Debbie-Congratulations on staying OP for 4 days! That's awesome! It's been 2 for me. I have to get these few pounds back off. The clothes are starting to fit tighter and I can't bare that!

Sorry I didn't post the last couple of days. I haven't felt well. I think my b/p is up again. I have never had a nose bleed in my life and I have had them for 2-3 days now.

Also, I've been depressed about my weight. I was doing real good for a few days then blew it! :( I'm going to try again tomorrow to stay OP everyday! If I mess up this time, I'll just start right back over the next day! I WILL lose 20 lbs. by Memorial Day!!!!! My weight is back up to 170 lbs. So by MD I could be at my goal weight of 150 lbs. I know I can do it!!!! Debbie, I'm with you 100% tomorrow!! Watch out because here we come!!!! :D

I came home Friday from work and when I took off those tight (new) jeans, I had RED marks all over my BOD! Is that gross or what?! I'm going to do it this time!!!!

I'm cleaning & washing today so I can't post to everyone now. I'll be back later.

Doni, I'm so sorry to hear of all the troubles with your parents. I know from first hand experience how upsetting it can be. I will be thinking about you and wishing your mother well.

I haven't seen much of Dan, but I really didn't expect to. He wants to be with his girlfriend and his other friends and I suppose I can understand that. His unit called this afternoon and they have to go back a day earlier than planned, so he will be leaving on Tuesday.

Yesterday was just gorgeous here. I got up at 6 and did my housework then went outside and sat in the sun and just soaked in the quiet peacefulness. Later in the day we went to my BIL's and went horseback riding. After that, we took 4-wheelers out through the pasture and around the pond looking for turkey and deer. Then we all decided to load up and drive to Conway to eat dinner at Outback Steak House. They had a 2 hour wait so we took the kids to playworld and then went back and ate. I had a wonderful seafood fettucini....not exactly an OP meal! But, we had a great time!

Sherry, I've been really down also about my lack of control. It seems that all I want to do is eat. I'm not hungry in the physical sense, I think I'm just using food to fill some other void. I'm starting to get very anxious about moving in with my parents. That's only 9 days away and I think I'm using food to comfort myself. Also, I won't be able to go to Little Rock when my dad has his surgery because someone has to be here with my mom. Rick and my brother will go for the surgery, but I'm feeling very inadequate because I can't be in both places at one time. I also know that once we move in, I will be operating on very little sleep. Mom is up most of the night and I'll have to be right there with her. But, I'm her daughter and I will be there for her no matter what.

Shelley, congrats on the pay raise! I know you are very happy about being a 12 month employee!

Debbie and Sherry, you both have done so great with the weightloss in the last few months, I know you will get on track and look fantastic on the beach this summer!

Dee, how is your mom doing? Are still getting snow? Any new romantic adventures you haven't told us about?

Well, I better go iron something to wear tomorrow......gotta look nice for those criminals! hahaha
