I don't know, Sugar. Isn't it kind of reckless to start associating with 3-D people. Next thing you know, you'll have new friends and you'll DUMP US.
How old are their kids?

Caution: 3-D people ahead

Good point, Lohani. I'll be careful. Wouldn't want to go getting a life or anything. But I'd NEVER dump all of yous. You're all too cute.

They have two daughters, 15 and 3 (surprise, suprise!). Non-stop fun as far as I can tell. The 15-yr old is really mouthy and the little one has asthma attacks.

Oh nonono, I'm not yelling at youuu, really! I'm yelling at MalWart. They deserve it. It's just something I have to do. Pay no attention to me, no one else does. Even my own dear sissie shops at MalWart. But I think you should go to one of these outdoors stores and pretend that you're actually thinking of buying one of their overpriced backpacks and get all fitted and advised, then say thankyouwe'llthinkaboutit and buy it on ebay.

That you are, quite so.

Glad you had a good time at the shindig. Can't believe they denied all knowledge of a party. Oh, you think they weren't the ones having it?

I'm doing nothing today. yay me!

Sugar....they have a babysitter!!!!!!!!! Why did they lie about the party??? Do you think they are into something illegal??? What are you going to make when they come over??? Can I come too???
DD's best friend moved to Mississippi.
I think I"ll take a nap. bye

SugP 02-16-2004 03:47 PM

My best friend Polly moved to Baltimore when we were in the third grade. And then in the sixth grade my best friend Suzanne moved to Downer's Grove, Illinois. Never heard from them again. Email me if you're out there, girls. It's me, Sugar.

Kiwonk 02-16-2004 06:34 PM

Best friends should at least try to keep in touch. I moved in 5th grade and I wrote back and forth to my best friend. Then we got together when we were in college and she tried to steal my boyfriend. Oy.

Tomorrow I'm going to the high school basketball tournament in the big city. Doesn't that sound exciting? I'm not responsible for anybody or anything and I can just walk out and go to the mall if I feel like it. Now aren't you jealous?

Woke up with a mother of a headache. Feels like this
Me too, Sugar. I've had one for 3 days. Finally got over it today. At least I was feeling well enough on Valentine's Day to let my sweetheart take me out to dinner. No, I meant my DH. Get your mind outta the gutter.

I was the one who moved away from my best friend Robin McCall in 2nd grade. We actually wrote letters to each other for a few years. I remember being so envious of her. She lived in town and had a reasonable number of siblings (2 brothers).

Lush, I have old hands, but even worse, I just realized today that my face is looking well worn. Sigh. It's not going to stop me from hitting the tanning bed later this month. I need a tan to cover up the leg veins. Sob.

Kiwonk 02-16-2004 07:36 PM

Oh yeah, here's what I got for Valentine's Day:

jacksh*t

Berrypie 02-16-2004 08:14 PM

For Valentine's Day, my DH bought be Dr. Laura's book, "The Proper Care and Feeding of a Husband." Isn't that romantic?

It sounds like everyone is having a wonderful life....parties, dinners, performances by dds. Is this all 3D or virtual?

Cowpernia 02-16-2004 09:19 PM

Kiwi, my office friend's dh gave her a box of thank you notes for valentine's day.

Lohani 02-16-2004 10:32 PM

I went out at 6AM on Valentine's morning and picked up the presents for DH because he was too tired. I win the Valentine's award.
However, he did take me out to a lovely dinner the week before, so I guess it's ok.
My best friend, Audrey, moved after 3rd grade. We got together for years..then she had bratty kids and I couldn't stand to be around them...so I figured we'll reconnect after we retire and her kids have moved away.
My next best friend is still a friend...but her husband is very controlling...he made her quit nursing because he didn't want her to see other men's penises. He's too humorless for me.
My next best friend made a pass at my brother at my daughter's christening when his son was there....I felt that was icky. I never spoke to her again.
I don't know if I have a best friend, now. Maybe....but I'm not sure since I don't make time for anyone anymore, even her. But if I had to name one, I'd name her.

Wabby, I feel the only help for my face is a tan. Who cares if I get wrinkled??? That ship's sailed.

I'm going to bed..bye

Bagzz 02-16-2004 11:29 PM

if you have a wrinkly face, won't a tan accentuate it???If not,i want a tan.good night----last call for law and order

Angry Housewives eating bon bons

That's the name of the book I'm reading... Sort of a Minnesotan Steel Magnolias... and almost as funny as Lohani and Kiwi.

I didn't have major traumas with best friends as a kid... one switched to private school and "higher class" friends but I'd see her in the neighborhood, some were replaced when I made the transition to Jr. Hi... My best friend from Jr. Hi is a terrible writer, but for two years she's sent Xmas presents from Australia... We have fond memories of shared adolescent angst...

Oh. and there's the best friend I had after marriage and moving to Texas. After her husband started shagging his secretary and they divorced, the set her eyes on GIT-ex.... they've now been married 14 years... WHY AM I NOT OVER IT? Egad. I need to go get therapy!!

My DH was a peachy valentine. Made a whole weekend of it. His card read "you are the center of my world" and he wrote "I choose again to love you.." From our less than perfect first marriages, we recognized how important it is to know that love and being together IS a choice (not something to take for granted) and it needs to be a conscious choice. I don't know what I did to deserve him... or more accurately, I don't feel deserving.... after all, I'm still fat:ink: :rollpin:

Any of you doing Spring Fling Challenge? My next commitment (aside from mental hospital) needs to be to weight lifting and cardio... anybody willing to join me... (or let me catch up)?

Bagzz 02-17-2004 07:56 AM

my dh has high cholesteral {sp?}and i have been forcing him to do the treadmill everyday or at least five days a week-----because i am hounding him,i have been doing the same---it is hateful, but i am managing to keep it going-------yesterday,i did the free weights--------------BECAUSE I AM FORCING HIM TO DO THEM!!!-----IS THIS ALL ABOUT HIM OR WHAT??????????????????-----it seems to be the only thing motivating me,so i guess i will make do-------------------last fall i dropped around ten pounds counting points------------THEY ARE STILL GONE--------------i weigh between 150 -153---------------------i haven't told Low arse---cause i know she will get all mad.

Cowpernia 02-17-2004 08:47 AM

That is SOO OO OO wonderful. Teensy little Bagzie!!! Not only did you not tell Lush, but I believe you just plain lied. WAY TO GO!!!!

I have been doing Pilates stretches and I am firmer from it but not smaller. Also, been eating MORE and feeling BETTER. I am trying the Sugar diet though and this week and trying to make lunch more like it should be. Last week I increased breakfast and I should be able to make it through the morning now.
