I'm back again. Can you imagine how I must live my life? Do a little here, do a little there, come on the computer, chat and start all over! Believe it or not I am productive some of that time I'm away from the computer!! :lol:

Ok...question question....Angie--Jana...how did you two meet? Through here or through another message board or in person? Rereading some of the post I seen that you Angie mentioned that you met Jana and that is how you came here?

How did anyone find this site? Me? Well thank you for asking.... :lol: When I worked at Sony, on my breaks I would go to the computer and browse around all kinds of weight loss sites. This was when I was part of the Fitness Program and I was really getting into being in shape. And I was on Yahoo and saw health, then kept on going until I saw weight loss: personal experiences. And there was/is a list of personal experiences! 3FC used to have an area where you can visit and view other peoples weight loss success and view pictures.... What ever happened to that part of 3FC?? Do any of you ever remember seeing that?
Anyway, I used to come here a lot for about year before I finally decided to join. That was after Sony closed and I had more time to get on the computer. And why did I choose Jaded Ladies? Well at the time I didn't really feel Jaded about my weight, just about what was going on at the time with losing my job and all. Also, the ladies here just seemed so real, (that make sense?) Just didn't sound like anyone was trying to impress anyone. So that is why I chose to post here! You girls are great. Although...we have lost a few since I've started posting...did I scare them off? I'm curious if Michelle ever got her doggy day care going. Michelle is the one who was doing that isn't she???

Well how do you like that? Did I bore you all to tears?? I'm sorry!! I will go for now then. Extreme Makeover will be on in 15 mins. and I don't know if I've seen it or not. I think I need to get my gut lipoed...but then again I saw "cosmetic surgery gone bad"....never watch that!!!!

Jana~ Thanks for the vegetable soup idea.I was so inspired I went to the store and bought some veggies & V-8 juice,and made some soup myself. Though I must say yours sounds better..... :cool:

Geez, I love these icons :dizzy: can I play :o with them for a while :nono: ... ;) .....

My soup was just Italian veggies,V-8,onions,and some yellow squash.I turned it on low and let it simmer for 3 hours :smoking:
It came out really good.I had 2 bowls for dinner.
I drank 80oz`s of water :dizzy: I think that is one part of tryng to lose weight I like the least, drinking water.I probably don't have to drink 80 oz`s though?? I am just always impatient.

Anyway, yes.......Jana. Single Parenting is a toughie.I must say though that my 2 oldest daughters ((12 & 11))live with there father. I moved in June out of the school district for my job. I must be 7 miles away from them,and see them every day. I just have Gaby with me full time and she just started her "Terrible Two`s"....she is into everything. :nono:

Marti~ Curious what you mean by "senior housing landscaper??".....
I know where Cottage Grave is :bravo: Down south past Eugene?? Do you know where Oakridge is at?? I have an elderly lady friend that lives there, really very beautiful. I think Waldo Lake is close to her house.....by Rays grocery store.....lol
Anyway, if I don't scare you :cb: , would love to meet up with you & Kate sometime.
Angie was brave and came down from Canada for a visit a few years ago.I think we had fun??? It was during the Rose Parade, raining cats & dogs,typical Oregon, I guess. I was really scattered brained, wasn't a very good hostest.

Katie~ How did I lose 110lbs?? This was a while ago. I was 245 and lost 110 in 17 months. I started in Sep 98 and was at goal weight((135)) in Feb.2000.Which was weird because it was the same month I seperated with my husband.....
I walked 3 miles a day and used Slim Fast for breakfast.I didn't eat past 6PM and I drank a lot of water.I hate to say it but I only ate 1 main meal a day.I think my total calorie intake was 1000.
I gained back up to 190 with the birth of Gabrielle and I lost after she was born back down to 150.
I feel good at 150/145.I can wear 8 jeans at that weight,and think I look healthy.I was too thin when Angie visited, 135. I didn't feel healthy , could feel my hip bones and such.
So, was looking at the calendar and trying to decide if 3 pounds a week was realistic?? Thinking it is.......though always heard 2 a week is good.

Anyway, I am so friggin water logged :spin: I feel like a :moo:

Jana and I met in BBW...I was at Chapters one day and saw this awesome mag. I bought it and came home and literally cover to cover read it in one sitting. In one part I saw they had a web site...I checked it out and ended up joining a support group there...meeting Jana. I really enjoyed it in there but... it took forever for me to read anything...believe me this site is like speed of light compared to BBW.
I was reading my emails...Mikado ( a production coming up) needs a props person....lol what is this almost a week?

I had to pick Brandon up early from work...he slammed his finger in a door and *yuck we had to make a stop at Walmart first for a splint and tape...poor kid. Will have to take him in to the Dr tomorrow...I would say its broken. But with a finger they can't do much and well ER are a bad place to be during a full moon.

Yes we did have fun. Even thou I almost froze to death! Id love to come back and tour again...
Not sure if you know this,,,but we are trying to make plans for all of us to meet in Evansville In this summer. Well since Im an unemployed bum I can come anytime...lol Just have to save....*egads

I am headed from home.

I really shouldn't drink water past 6PM or so, hate the bloated feeling.

We have talked about a lot of things.........going to the bathroom every 15 minutes included ......bonds people real quick, I guess.

If you have seen Kindergarten Cops.....(this is memory lane Ang)..... that bathroom in the woods that the lady cop has to stop at to throw up??? Cause she is so sick??
That is a place on HWY 26 to the Oregon coast from Portland.It is a real dive,it really does have its bathroom key hooked to a hub cap....anyway, I have been many times to that bathroom and have used it.My 15 minutes of fame.....lol.....anyway, I know all the bathrooms on the north Oregon coast....

Where is Evansville??

It was kind of nice here today.I live up from the bridge we watched the parade on.I went past the waterfront this morning where we tried to dry our hair from the bathroom hand dryer...lol......geez, you really looked miserable that day.
Oregon isn't always like that though,it can be very nice.

Susan--Yep, Cottage Grove is south of Eugene. Not much of a town, but the house we just moved into...I just couldn't pass the opportunity. And yes, I have heard of Oakridge...it's a quiet place. Pretty, but not much around. But I do know where Rays is!!!

That would be great to get together some time. We have You, Shanna, Katie, me and if Angie wanted to just stroll down south...we'd have a great little gathering. :gossip:

Evansville is in Indiana....I've been through there years ago and the parts that I seen,,,well it was beautiful. :flow1: (Is it still Jana???)

Angie--Mind if I ask what BBW is?? I'm glad that you met Jana and came mosing along over hear. I dragged Shanna on over....but she wasn't kicking and screaming (gosh darn it I was hoping I had some kind of control!) :D ....I think it's nice to have friends being a part of something.

Oh...Susan..Senior housing landscaping.....sorry for not making it clear..its the people who keep up the yards for the senior homes. They come every week to mow and rake the lawns. I sure wish they would just sneak on over to my yard and do a little bit of it for me! I live right next to the senior housing. These are just apartments for the seniors, they aren't unable to do things, heck they're probably more active than me!! During the summer, I sat on my patio while I watched one of the ladies go for her daily walk.......with her walker!! :eek: What's wrong with me?? :shrug: So lazy!!

Well I think it's time for me to retire to the bedroom. My eyes are tired. :tired: I will chat with you ladies tomorrow!!

I just totally can not sleep.

Too little food? Too much water? I am really tired........

Oakridge? Yes, it is a very small town.My friend lives above ((oh, geesh....so sorry. It cracks me up though))......Rays, across the railroad tracks.I have only been there 4 times.It has been a year or so now. Would love to take a trip down there and show her Gabrielle.

My :bb: sister goes to college in Eugene.She is so funny,says it takes her 90 minutes to get to Portland.I just say is that dead or alive.........way too fast.I think I can get to Oakridge in 3 hours though.

Indiana sounds nice.My heart is set on Arkansas though :love: He says he doesn't worry about 10 pounds either way.....he doesn't understand why I do.Anyway,if we break up by March I will go to Indiana....lol....

Going to bed now though.

I'm having problems getting to sleep also...And I know I should considering I need to get up at 6:30a.m.!!! Crazy I tell you...

What college is your sister going to? U of O or the community college? I'm attending LCC right now. Can't wait for it to be over. Not a good attitude I know.

90 mins. to get to Portland??? Hmm.. I'm trying to think how long it takes us, about 2hrs or so, depending on where we're headed.

I really hope everything works out for you and your Arkansas man. Have you two exchanged photos? You are definately going to have to get Kayecee to do a sneak peak at your man and see if he's good quality! :lol: I wonder if he's any where near where she is??

Susan--I wanted to ask if you wanted to exchange home addresses. Since I started posting with these lovely ladies, I've been exchanging cards. We did Christmas and for some reason I wanted to do Valentines too. I also plan on doing the birthday thing. (once again, thank you ladies for sending me a birthday card...very sweet of you) I have everyone but you, and I don't want to leave you out. But I also don't want to make you feel you have to give me your address. If you would like to exchange addresses, send me a PM and I will reply to you. I know Valentines Day is a Sweetheart day, but I thought it would be fun. I haven't had this much fun with female friends in years!! My female friends from school ended up....well...let's say there was always some sort of competition thing going on that I thought was too juvenile and I decided to move on.

Ok...now I'm really going to attempt to get some sleep!!

Umm, baby sister goes to U of O.I think it is her 2nd year.She also works in Ron Wydens office as an intern, she wants to be a lawyer.She is 21 and a sweet girl........

I met Arkansas Man on a dating site back in May.He saw my picture and responded to me.It was my 135 pic and I was really happy.
Now I have had Gabrielle, exhausted and weigh 25 pounds more.........lol.
He has seen updated pictures though.I think the last was when I was 150.
I have a whole album of him.He could stand to lose 20 pounds himself.....he isn't sweating it though....

Sure I will send you my addie, love to get a Valentine`s.Thanks :)

This thread is going so fast! Not sure I can keep up!!

Angie - since you don't have to go to work, how about you and your SIL come on over to my house and clean MY closets?? LOL!! I have never heard of Mr. Clean Eraser, but it is now on my grocery list. Sounds like just what I need after the twins have been here, lol. How's Brandon's finger? Kiss it and make it better! I do my own pedicures, but would love to have a professional one. As I said before, I haven't even ever had my fingernails done by a pro.

Marti - BBW is Big Beautiful Women, named after the magazine. That is also where we met Michelle. I dragged both of them over here with me, when I knew I wanted to get sereious about losing weight, and they did, too. I think a meeting on the west coast in 2005 is a great idea! Count me in! Since some of us will have to fly, it really needs to be held at a city with a major airport. Other than that, you guys out there can decide which city.

Susan - I had asked for your snail mail addy, too, but I think you missed that. PM me if you want, okay? My valentines are ready to go - actually Neal mailed Angie's this morning on his way to work since I wasn't sure how long it takes to get to Canada. (Mail to Angie takes 65 cents, btw) Since you asked, yes, I do think 3 pounds a week is way too much if you plan to keep the weight off. Half that is more like it. You will be losing muscle, not fat, with a big weekly loss. Weeks 1 and 2 you will lose water, but after that, 1 or 1 1/2 pounds is more healthy. About Evansville, could you join us this year? We are meeting in August, probably the 14 or 21st. It is a nice place, sort of small, but with 2 malls, bookstores, a zoo, gambling boat, etc. The link to it is on the Meeting Thread. Anyway, if you come, keep your panties on or they will put them in a freezer!

I am going to Indianapolis tomorrow to see my nephew's twins that were born last week. Carter's had the cutest little blue and yellow outfits - a cute little dress for her and shirt and pants for the boy. With matching bibs! While we are in Indy, I'm going to get the rest of our park-hopper tickets for Disney.

I promise to stay OP while I'm gone. I did it last weekend, and I'll do it again! If I have a chance, I'll be back later today or in the AM.

Marti - when Angie sent her Christmas card, it had 67 cents in postage on it, so that's why I put the same on mine to her. She may have had to pay the difference on yours - she'll tell us when she checks back in, I hope. The new avatar is one I picked up on a different board, but it looks like Chloe when she was small. Awwww..... makes me want a puppy again!

Susan - SIL is sister in law. Evansville is in southern Indiana, and no, lol, you certainly don't have to take your panties off!! LOL!!!! But the clean ones you bring for the next day (there WILL be clean ones, we hope) could end up as a pantycicle. Or Kayecee may put your hand in warm water as you sleep so you'll pee the bed! We were kidding around about these things on the meeting thread, and it got out of hand! Btw, I love Dr. Phil!! I don't get him on my satalite out here in the boonies, but watch a snowy version with rabbit ears when I can.

Cristi - the avatar is because of my beagles! Isn't it just the cutest thing?? Glad you got the FT. It is a challenge, but I'm telling you, if I can do it, anybody can! I think you'll notice a big increase in energy from eating all that healthy food! I got a lot of Spring cleaning done last week, lol. Glad you are taking a day off from packing - you need a break. Enjoy the home show.

I love babies. :love: So cute...but I have to say that I'm finished having them. So I love to play with my sisters daughter. And that new baby smell. Cristi--I got your stuff in the mail today! Thank you very much. And before you go finding some of those glue dots, Shanna said she found some. Don't want you getting something I already have here. But once again thank you!! About your realtor, hope it all finally gets over with for you and you're finally in your new home. How frustrating it must be. But I totally understand what you're saying about having to go through a new one. I totally lucked out on getting this house. The landlord is a good friend of my grandpa's and we haven't had to pay rent yet....we start next month. And for this size of a home, in town, I think $500 a month is pretty good. Plus,,, he wants us to buy it from him after a year or two. This house is like a dream for me. No more cramped living area!!

Angie--Mr. Eraser? Yep..I've used it and I love that thing! I got all kinds of scuffs off my shower, AND.....I used it on my shoes. Got them all nice and white again. Amazing thing! (I'm easily entertained of coarse) And how is your son's finger? That had to hurt! I've had my fingers smashed in the car door when I was little...my dad felt terrible. Then a few years after that I had them smashed again at a Pizza place,, the bathroom doors were HEAVY and I was little, but I managed to get it open enough for my fingers and "SLAM" :fr: boy did everyone hear my scream!! So, have you heard anymore about your job? Did they can that other person and beg you to come back!! Keep us posted on that!!

Susan--Panties, bra's, hand in water.....you need to revert back to being 11 or 12 when you had slumber parties (never had one but went to one) and some of the girls were just down right evil!! :devil: (Kayecee...you had to have been one of them!!) They'd stick your bra under water, then stick it in the freezer over night! But I'm sure these girls have finally grown up...(yes, I'm speaking directly to you Kayecee!!) and you won't have to worry about such a thing!

Oh and yes,,, next month I'm getting married :hyper: .....I hope. I say that because although my papers are filed for the divorce from my ex....we still have to make an appearance in court. :halfempty In fact, just got a letter in the mail reminding us!! (I did mention I'm a procrastinator??) Our wedding day (if you can call it that) will just be at the court house. We had wanted to have a little thing at my grandparents but then my grandma's cancer came back and she's going through Chemo. Plus,,,,only one of us has a job!! (I know I know...stop the whining already right?!) But Susan, I'm sorry, but I can't introduce you to James brothers. He has three older ones, but none of them are worth introducing you too. :no: You'd think James was the older out of all of them......so I lucked out and got the good out of the bunch!!

Shanna--I seen you make a comment in the Extreme Makeover thread....but remember...you have to come here to chit chat!! :gossip:

Kayecee--Is you little one feeling ok? We haven't heard from you in awhile. So the next time you get on Shanna's case,,, I will have to give you a firm reminder!! :coach:

Katie--How is everything going? I know you don't get much time on the computer, but I just wanted to check on ya anyway.

Wow,,,this is getting long.....again. :comp: I don't even know if I know how to make a short post anymore. I will try to cut them down girls if it's getting too much! Just let me know.

Cristi lives in Arkansas?? You just moved to a new house? You are doing laundry today? Is that you?? lol........I don't know what to think of Arkansas.It is weird though because Gaby`s grandmother lives in Yellville. If I were to move there we would have instant family.Though I am not going to move there,he would have to move here.Really stressing on this,thinking I should just settle for a freindship, silly to pursue a relationship.My kids are staying in Oregon.........I can't leave them behind......ok, I can.....lol......but is that allowed??? lol

I went to the store yesterday for his book but $26 seemed a little high to be...is it in paperback yet??

It was a good day here. I drank 64 oz.`s before 3PM.I am NOT going to drink anymore! Learned my lesson.
I had eggs for breakfast,veggie soup for lunch, and a big tuna salad for dinner.I had fruit & cottage cheese as snacks.
I might air pop some popcorn later on.

OOOOO I am ticked...I had a really awesome post going...funny articulate (don't really know what that means...saw it in a book once) and WAM I was kicked out.

Anyways before it happens again....
I did get everyones cards at Christmas...I pay 49 to mail across Canada and I guess 65 to make across the boarder. I didn't get valentine cards ,,,just some cards I liked at Hallmark...which was next door to where I USED to work....
For the 2005 meeting how about you all coming here? Calgary is large enough to handle us I think...lol population a million...lol We have rodeos,,,beautiful mountains...lakes/beaches great shopping...lol
I did alot of errands today,,,got my nails done,,and the barnicals scrapped off my feet...I swear Im shorter,,,and my shoes aren't as snug anymore...(too much information?)
SIL's name is Heather,,,and my brother Arden are coming over tomorrow to play a mean game of Canasta. So Ill be making nibblies in the afternoon.

So ladies do you see why I had to have Susan join us? She made me laugh so much,,,I swear thats how I lost most of my weight!
And as for how she looks...shes gorgeous! Even if she eats *gag BEETS!

And me with white powder all over my lips...I had a little problem with my addiction...(elephant ears) OMG what I would do for one now...*sigh

The fondest one is at Multnomah Falls and calling Brian from the bathroom telephone and saying "guess where we are??".....why were we calling him from the bathroom?? Don't you think that is odd??lol.......I think he thought we were so weird.Miss that guy.

I am going to have to update my photo. I just went back to look at it and I don't like that picture. :no: Although,,,I'm heavier now than I was then. (how sad) and I have no excuse like a baby to blame it on. Just pure laziness and procrastination on getting my butt in gear to work it all off.

Angie--You are too much! Shorter now are ya? I probably would still look up to you....and everybody else!! Oh geez how I would have hated to be the one doing your feet!! :eek: Did they wear a mask and thick gloves while primping you up?? :lol:

Marti - Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I got married at the Justice of the Peace for my second time around. It was in Reno on St. Patrick's Day, and I wore a green velvet dress. Did you see The Princess Bride? Remember the "Impressive Clergyman" at the end, when Buttercup was being forced to marry the prince, and he said, "Mawage! Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday. And wuv! Twoo wuv! So tweasure your wuv." Well...that's the guy that married us. At least, he sounded exactly the same. I started giggling in the middle of the ceremony, and couldn't stop.

Jana - whoo hoo! Good for you for staying OP. :cp: Are you still doing FT, or was that just for a week? Are you going to WW meetings or doing it all on your own? You must be in Indianapolis right now, oohing and aaahing over the new babies :bb: :bb: If you get pics, post 'em - I suspect we all have a soft spot for babies here. I always figured if I had a boy and a girl twins that I'd take it as a sign from God that I'd better quit while I was ahead! :lol: I ended up with 3 boys, though, and will have to wait a few years for a granddaughter -- I told them, between the three of them, one of them better have a daughter for me!

Susan - Thanks for sharing how you lost the 110. Did it feel healthy? My schedule is really weird, so we tend to eat late. My husband has been working swings, gets home after 11:30 pm, and we tend to eat dinner at midnight :eek: But he will be changing jobs after 2/18 so hopefully his new job will have better hours and we can eat at a more reasonable time.

Cristi - Finished your laundry yet? I haven't :dizzy: I still have at least 2-3 more loads, and feel like I did laundry all day long yesterday. Ever feel like you are just treading water, or like your dirty laundry is like a big pile of quicksand? How exciting to be moving into a new house! We bought an older little house in December 1999, right before the prices went crazy here. We'd never be able to buy in CA again. Our neighbor's house, built in 1954, about 1500 sq ft and nothing fancy, just sold for $254,000. Yep, a quarter of a million dollars, that's not a typo. :dunno:

Katie--Glad to see you! While your out getting shoes and pants, feel free to pick some up for me.. I wear a size 6-6 1/2 shoe and size 8 jeans. Oh...and I'm "short" so you'll have to pick up some jeans that are meant to fit a shorty like me!! :lol:

Today so far has been very very uninventful. I was up at 4:30am to go pick up James, then we stayed up until 6:00 and I finally got up for good around 10:30. James is still in bed. But I'm thinking I need to get his butt up before the day is over!! I got stuff I want to do today!! :D

Geez, I can't keep up with you ladies. :dizzy: Such busy little bees this morning, or was it last night. :shrug:

Katie~ OMG! You cracked me up with the story of the justice of the peace! :rofl: I had to bring my DD over to read it and she cracked up right away! :lol: :rofl: DH and I didn't do anything to celebrate our 1st anniversary. So for our second anniversary we went to Eureka Springs, AR to renew our vows and the little preacher lady-and I DO mean little. She must have been 5'2" and about 60 pounds-I kid you not. She talked just like that!!! :lol: Too funny. I don't know how many times I almost cracked up. Oh yeah, I know all too well that wasn't a typo. That is one of the reasons I don't live in CA any longer, bu tnot the main one. My friends mother was selling their house, not sure how big it was (I'm guessing at 1800-2000 sq. ft.) and there was absolutely NOTHING special or fancy about it in Northridge (where the earthquake hit really bad in '94) except they had a swimming pool which cracked in the quake, but they were selling it for $500,000. :yikes: Another friend bought an 1800 sq. ft house about 5 years ago in Saugus for $180,000. Of course now they are trying to sell it because she is getting divorced. Yes, I finally did get my laundry done, of course today is a new day and I should do a couple of loads to keep up with it.

Mart~do you always pick James up from work? I can't remember if you mentioned the hours he works, sorry. How's your scrapbooking coming along?

Okay ladies (Susan & Angie) you are cracking me up. Like Marti, I don't know half of what is talked about but you are making me laugh. I can tell you guys are GREAT friends. what the heck are elephant ears. I know there is a plant/shrub/bush that we call elephant ears but I know that is not what you are talking about. I have never heard of them.

Well, I need to get off this thing and get dinner started in a few. Went to the Home Show today and was very disappointed. I am not exactly sure what it was I expected but I guess more than what was there. They really build it up to be something fantastic and it wasn't. While I didn't really get any ideas for the home, we did see some nice stuff. Anyway, I will try to check in later. See ya ladies :wave:

Elephant ears are this pastry..(deep fried) then either you can have them plain or sprinkled with icing cugar or cinnamon...Ill take it pretty much anyways I can get them. In Canada they are called Beaver Tails...
And I only ate 2...with icing sugar...which got all over me somehow.
Susan you were standing on a step when you were looking down at me...geesh. The high altitude does something to you,,,I swear. And Brian was well Brian...and he got a kick out of us calling him from the bathroom...OMG I am giggling over that still...lol Poor Dude always putting up with us...
So today I slept in,,,had a coffee...hung out, cleaned a couple of bathrooms,,,did a load of laundry,,,I now have 9 loads to put away...*sigh Monte took Tanner to see LOTR and I went shopping for junk food,,,and beer...(yuck) I did buy some healthy stuff...carrots and celery. I still need to run a cloth around the office...wowee can't remember when I dusted in there last...YIKES! And thank goodness for Mr Clean magic mops...ever see that commercial of the woman dancing around using a duster...or a mop? Thats me! Skittles usually runs and hides....
Well I guess I should get off this thing,,,my dusting won't happen by itself...

Now.. aren't Elephant ears similar to funnel cakes? :?: I'm not sure....but I do know that they are very good, very addicting and I hadn't had one in 10yrs until this last summer when James and I went the County Fair. You girls were all talking about funnel cakes and I just had to have something that sounded close to that. :hungry: And they are HUGE!! They are bigger than a plate!! :eek:

Cristi--I just went to Michaels today and bought some stuff to get my scrapbooking started. (uhhh... I haven't started it yet!) and I bought some scissors that were only .99, bought three of them. And some paper and glue and even a stamp. Plan on doing a page for the dogs and the stamp is bones and paw prints. Then James bought some soap molds. So we may be a couple of crafty people today...or sometime in the near future! :lol:

Do I pick up James all the time? No. I was for awhile before we got the tags and stuff for the car he drives... then last night I decided to take him to the truck. I wanted to be awake when he got home since he only has one day off this week. Spend as much time with him as possible. :love:

Ok, I wanted to pop in again real quick.....now I'm going to attempt some scrapbooking.......I will let you know if it turns out good or a disaster!!

Okay, elephant ears do sound just like funnel cakes. They had them at the home show today and DH and I almost got one. Of course we would have shared ;) because as Marti said they are HUGE! And oh so yummy! :T Now I am wishing I had gotten one, no telling when I will next, maybe in Sept. when the fair comes. I don't know if I can wait that long, darn. I may have to go to the home show tomorrow just to get one of those. :lol: :lol: Just kidding. ;)

All right Marti, you and James are going to make soap or is it just James? Let us know how your first page goes. I know you will do a great job with your scrapbook. Sounds like you got some great deals at Michael's. I should go visit the one here by the mall. They are getting ready to shut it down because they are moving to a bigger store, that and they are widening the road so it will be torn down. They are trying to get rid of what they can so they don't have to move it. And the good part is the new store is A LOT closer to us. Well, I don't know if that is actually good or not. :lol:

Yes, funnel cakes and elephant ears are the same, and yes, we did do quite a bit of talking about them last summer at fair time, as I remember!! YUM!

Susan - You are doing so well with the water and weight loss efforts. YAY for you! FYI - I like beets, too, especially Harvard (sweet and sour, for those of you who don't know)

First things first: I lost 2 1/2 pounds more this week!! That makes 11 so far. After this, it should slow down quite a bit, but I have to say I am one happy camper!

The twins were so cute! Their skin is just like velvet, and they smelled devine! While in Indy, I got the rest of our Disney park-hopper tickets, a new crockpot that turns to "warm" automatically, some Ralph Lauren Blue body lotion to go with my perfume, some padded hangers, and John Grisham's new book "The Last Juror". Neal got a lock for his ... uh.... something. I don't really know.....probably his wallet, LOL!!!

It's past 10:30 here, so I gotta go get some beauty sleep.

I will say this if it wasn't for you we wouldn't be friends.I have always been overweight and a loner.I think you & Brian were the first ones that went out of your way to be friends with me.
So, when I struggled on how (and still do) to be a friend back you both were really .......um,angels to me.So thanks.

I was going to go back home and scrapbook too Marti.I work in property management and use the computer in the office.I live across the parking lot and work in the evenings.So, when I say "I am going home"....I am walking across and uo to my apartment.

Thinking it was Jana? 110 pounds did it feel healthy?? I think so. It came off over 17 months and it was only when I got to goal weight that I felt lost. I didn't
think I really figured out the "whys" of the overeating. I just was doing something that I felt would be a cure all........and it wasn't.
I think these last 2 years I have , I hope, figured out the reasons why I turn to food for comfort.

I had a good day today.It might be wishful thinking but I feel lighter (ok...............roll your eyes,,,,,lol.....)) I do though. I think making the decision to stop putting off and get back on track was a huge thing.
So, yes........I feel really good. I ate healthy and did some walking outside.

Now, I am going to go home and scrapbook.

Posting quickly---

It's late. But I wanted to tell Jana that Mr. Eraser is not in a bottle. It's like a sponge. And you'll find it in a blue box. At least mine was.

I went through pictures today, put aside some that I want in the scrapbook. Haven't actually put anything in it yet, I need to decide which ones I want in there. That took a lot of time! Especially when James and I were yappin about what we were doing in the pictures!!

James made soap today. We are trying to find the rest of our molds that we had, and since we've moved, I have no idea where anything is!! We even went through some of the stuff in our shed!! And to answer your question Cristi,,James made the soap. He had bought me all the stuff one year to make soap and candles (for my birthday) and he is the one who ended up enjoying making them. I enjoyed watching him!! Eventually I will someday try it myself.

Jana--Congrats on another 2 1/2 pounds!!!! I am so proud of you and so happy!! That is absolutely wonderful. You must be bouncing around!! I haven't weighed myself yet. I'd hate to see a gain! Monday though I will.

Ok... I need to get off here and get some sleep. I will yap more tomorrow.

Dang girls! I miss a couple of days and y'all all turn into novelists!!!! :lol: O.k. so here's the latest: Landon and Vallory had stomach virus Sunday night- Vallory got strep throat and went to the doctor on Wednesday- then Tim and Landon got strep and went to the doctor on Thursday. After the dust settled, I'm the only one still standing! :strong: LOL Everyone was much better by Friday (after they all got poked in the butt with a STRONG antibiotic :o ) Anyway, yesterday, Landon's "girlfriend" went with us and we went to our place in the hills. When we got there, the place was COVERED with about 3 inches of snow! :hyper: I know- I know- they shouldn't have been out in it after being sick last week, but I couldn't stand all the little pathetic faces. We hadn't expected the snow to still be there, or we wouldn't have gone. So I wound up bundling them up good and giving them 15 minutes. They had a BLAST! :D (I just hope they don't have a relapse) We drove over and checked on our horse then came back to Jonesboro and went to the big annual Sports Show. They all shot paintball guns, looked at all the four-wheelers and boats, fished in the trout tank, and looked at all the snakes and fish on display. Vallory actually caught a trout and she was soooo excited. I wish you could have seen us! The kids would get up in these huge fancy $30,000 boats and I would yell (in my best southern drawl) "Y'all look rich now" while I snapped their pictures! :lol: And of course, after being around all that fancy stuff, we couldn't eat a lowly burger before going home so we splurged and went to eat steak! :queen: LOL So that's a good time in Arkansas (Are you listening, Susan?) LOL

I actually live in northeast Arkansas- near Jonesboro. Hope your online romance goes well. One thing I have heard- if you are going to do an online romance, it's better to use one where you have to pay for the service because that helps weed out the wackos.

Jana: Well, let me be the thousandth person to congratulate you on another bit of weight loss. Good for you. It is great to go in little baby steps. Even when it seems like it is taking you forever. I am not a patient person and it drives me nuts to not see instant results. I get frustrated that way and then end up giving in to tons of temptations. It is a vicious cycle. Must break out, and it is motivated to hear someone else getting somewhere. Way to go. :bravo:

Mom2Gaby:If I haven't said it already ( bad memory) Howdy and welcome. It is so nice to have another west coast person, especially one so close. I am a good friend of Marti's and I live in Springfield. I am envious of you living so close to the Zoo. I love that place and rarely get a chance to get up there to visit our mammal friends. I must say with looking at your picture, you are a beautiful, youthful looking woman. It must be nice to not look your age. Especially with having kids. I only have two furry babies so far. I weighed my self this morning and I'm STILL sitting at 150lbs. GEEZ!!! Will it EVER budge?? I guess I can feel lucky that it's not going up!! Of coarse, I invited Ben & Jerry over last night, I think they may have something to do with not letting me lose anything quite yet!! Got to quit getting the icky stuff down my throat and concentrate on healthy eating and more exercise!!

Ok..I need to get off to wake James up, he has to work an overtime today! :( I'll be back later.

Hello, I'm back again--

Jana--Details?? Not much details I can give right now. We plan on just going to the court house to get married. Would really like to have a small ceremony somewhere, but our budget won't allow it. And as for a dress....well, I know I don't want to wear Jeans again. (I did the first time I got married) As soon as this divorce things if Officially dealt with I will let you know what I'm doing. (and it better be soon....March is just next month!!)

Kayecee--Wow....everybody but you with Strep throat!! I hope once they all get better that they decide to spoil you for taking care of them all......you have been taking care of them haven't you?? You didn't decide to go away on vacation or anything and let them fend for themselves? :lol:

Shanna--You must post more whether Kayecee does or not!! :rollpin: No excuses now!! James likes to do some crafty things. Only if it appeals to him. (I guess that would be for anybody) but last night we finally found all our old soap molds (after going through everything!!) and he made some more. What's funny is that he just went and bought some glycerin soap that was already made and scented, then remelted it down and used his own molding for the second set of soaps he made! That cut half his soap making in half!

Susan--Work just across the street? That must be nice. I would love to find a job close to home, but Cottage Grove isn't much for jobs. :dunno: But who knows,,, maybe something will come around.

Cristi--How is the packing going? When exactly do you get to move into the house? (or did you already say and I just missed it?) I can't wait to see the pictures....that's if I GET to see the photos!! I still can't see Susan...can't figure out why. :shrug: But when I do get on the site,,, a tiny little box appears and when I right click on it...nothing.

Angie--How is everything going? Do you want to come over and dust my house once you're finished with yours? I have wood floors and I must have tons of dust bunnies running around!! :yikes:

Marti~ I wanted to "call" it scrapbooking. I just looked through the mess of pictures last night. I am interested in scrapbooking but have not gotten to it yet.
When you said scrapbooking, just made me want to be a part of it...........ugh........aren't I pathetic?? lol

I like my job, lets me be a mother.I do like just walking across the parking lot, makes it easy.Though I am on call every 5th weekend, so I do ravel at that time.

I am having a good day! I would LOVE to be 150 like Marti but weighed in at 160 this morning. I was teetering towards a solid 165 a few weeks ago, so I am THRILLED to be so close to 159......
I made a turkey breast yesterday , so having turkey & veggies today.Might make a soup for tomorrow.

Ladies--

I did my first page in my scrapbook and it is soooo plain! I have a photo of me, and one of James in there, and it took me forever to get it to where I liked it!

Here is my question for any of you who has done this many times. How in the world do you cut a straight line with those fancy scissors!? :lol: I wanted to put trim on the photos and my little cut outs where not necessarily straight. But I did manage to get to look close to straight so you wouldn't notice.

Also, I told James that I need to buy one of those circle cutters because, frankly, it's a PITA! But I managed to do that too. That is why it took so long! If any of you would like to share...feel free to do it because I would very much like to know how you do it!! Do I need to buy more equipment? Or do you have a special technique?

Ok...off to clean up my mess!
