Default Dr Phil Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge

Seeing as I can't find a forum for those on Dr Phil's Weight Loss Challenge, I thought I would start a thread here. If you are on or considering going on Dr. Phil's WLC please feel free to post here.

Tell us a bit about yourself and what brought you to the point/decision you are at now.

Hi all....I am just new to Dr. Phil's Weight Loss Challenge, and I have just over 100 lbs to lose. I have posted on a few other forums/boards here at 3FC.

I am Jen. Will be 31yrs old on Sunday and need to doing something about my body weight and become a healthier individual. I am happily married to Steve, and a stay-at-home-mom to Katy(6¾yrs) and Christian(3¾yrs). We are in Ontario, Canada.

About a year ago I went on the Atkins way of eating and I was on it from Feb 10 to July 2003. I had lost about 40lbs and was happy about that, but stupid me, I fell of the wagon and gained about 30lbs of it back. I went back on the Atkins woe January 9, 2005. I have decided to change from doing the Atkins way of eating to Dr. Phil's Weight Loss Challenge. Since being back on Atkins I am already tired of eating meat and eggs and cheese and no fruits and limited veggies. I personally love fruit and veggies....So I was thinking that trying Dr. Phil's WLC might be ideal and help me to learn to live a better lifestyle(eating and exercising) and hopefully pass that on to my kids too.

I went out this morning and bought Dr. Phil's "The Ultimate Weight Solution Food Guide" (which is the second book as it explains what foods are best to use and what foods to stay away from, and this book is WAY cheaper to buy than the first one, which I do plan to eventually get too as I know it has a lot of other stuff with dealing with one's innerself and such). It has a lot of great information in it to get one started and to keep them going and to get on the road to a healthy new lifestyle of eating....one I can adapt to and stick to for the rest of my life and I can adapt my kids to as well. I like the fact there is a lot more fresh fruits and veggies involved here.

Anyhow, I hope I didn't bore you with my novel of an introduction...

HI there

Oh yes, I too went out today and bought that Dr. Phil Book, so far I am pretty impressed all the things in it seem pretty reasonable..
I too am a 25 year old stay at home mom, to an almost 3 year old and a 6 month old (both boys) and I am about a month pregnant right now(boy or girl). I JUST lost 76 lbs from my last pregnancy (6 months ago) but now want a healthy lifestyle eating now that I am 15-20 lbs from my goal.
I think the great thing about this Dr. Phils WLC is that it isnt just until you reach your goal, it is a lifestyle and I think that will ensure success, as well as having a support system.
Okay hope this intro wasnt too boring for ya...Us Ontario People have to stick together eh?

Talking Hi everyone!!

Hi Everyone!!!!!

I'm So happy to have found this message board Great job Jenn on making it I bet it will be a huge success. I started Dr. phils WLC on Novemeber 24th 2003 and have lost a TOTAL of 24 pounds already. I use to post on the Dr.phil site but I donr like it very much, This site is wayyyy better..

Well, a little about myself..I started the WLC at 282lbs and I currently weigh 258

I live in Saskatchewan and I am 20 years old. I live with my boyfriend of 14 months. We have a dog and a cat.. I had a kidney transplant in June of 99 and I feel great, I recived my moms kidney...

I Follow dr.phils plan as good as I can, I do "cheat" once and a while..I'll sneak a cookie or something like that, I feel like its okay to cheat cuase I would go NUTZ!! if I had to cut "bad" foods out completly. I workout everyday for at least 30 mins. I do cadrio and weights.
I feel like Dr.phil's Plan has changed my life completly for the better, I have never looked at food like this before, I now think of it as for survival not comfort...Thanx for listening

Lots of luv,
Amanda

P.S HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENN!!!!!!!!

I could use an e-mail buddy! I am just starting today. I am getting ready to start reading the book and I already am aiming at eating only out of hunger...
