Cristi--Happy Birthday to your DD!! Sorry I didn't say it sooner. How old is she? Women are beautiful in their 30's and 40's? Fantastic!! I think I quallify! Now...If only I could think that of myself...... :lol:
The picture of the quilt was....I have no words to express it....just awesome. I loved it. That took a lot of thought. And it turned out great! Thanks for sharing that. Where did you find the article from?
Glad you like the tips for the e-mail. What did you think of the silly photo? I sent that to my daughter with the heading "Smiling big when I think of you" Of coarse she laughed at it and asked why I sent that picture!!

Jana--Your scrapbook items are great. I was going to put in 10 reasons why I'm doing this too. Although if I thought about it long enough, I could probably list much more than that! I want to get it sometime this week and get stuff going. I was going to yap about it with Shanna today when we met at school...and we got to talking about everything but that!! I will have to e-mail her. Hey....she's online... I will tell her now! :)

Angie--So sorry to hear you're feeling so miserable!! I don't care how whiney I may sound,,, if I'm feeling bad and nothing is working...I call the doctor! I hope you can get some extra rest and start feeling better.

Kayecee--What is CompTIA? Sound complicated. I think I will keep the powerpoint homework! I am frustrated a little with how the class is taught though. She shows us so many cool things to do and it's pretty easy to learn,,but she's not really teaching us anything. Just showing us what's fun. And she gets all caught up in it...it's fun to watch..she's cute..but when we have homework it gets frustrating because I'm like...she didn't show us anything at all how to retrieve this or do that. Oh well... I'm surviving.

Shanna--You're getting threats on here!! You better get your fanny back and make an appearance!! I'm all mouth, I can't back my words so I'm no good in a "situation"!! :lol: So if anything gets out of control....you're on your own. I'll be hiding in a safe corner! (hee-hee)

Today was a good day. I got to spend time yappin with Shanna. Then I only had one class. Proofreading. And let me tell you, I've been proofreading everything now!! Then later I called Jhanai to see how school went and she just about cracked me up. I'm going to have to remember this for when she gets older.
She told me that when school was over, she was getting into her backpack to get her gameboy out to play on her walk home and her friend (a boy) was waiting for her...she was fumbling around and found it and when she pulled it out...out flew her bra!! I started laughing and asked what is your bra doing in your backpack? She didn't know! So I asked her what her friend did. She told me that as soon as it flew out...she said "I hit gold" and just starting laughing with him. I'm so glad that she has a sense of humor!! I would have died of embarrassment!! :o Of coarse I kept laughing over the phone and she kept saying "It's not funny mom"....then she said..."yes it is" and started laughing all over again. Silly girl!!

Ok.. I've got to tackle some Powerpoint....And that's all the homework for tonight! Then I'm actually going to go to bed early tonight! Imagine that!!

Marti~glad your DD has a sense of humor! She is just too cute! I too would have been embarrased at something like that at that age-I was sooooo very shy. Thanks for the birthday wishes for DD-she is the big 2-0! Gosh that makes me feel so old when I say that. I just don't her as being 20-years-old, she's my baby. Well, all three are my babies and will always be. Wasn't that quilt awesome?! I thought it was great that this woman did that and felt the need to share. DH SIL forwarded it to us from one of her friends. I don't know where they find this stuff but I am glad they share. She passes a lot of nice stuff and then I try to pass it on.

Cristi - thanks a bunch for the puzzle url! As a fellow quilter, I have a great respect for anyone who puts their heart and soul into a project like that! I am also a Frasier fan, and can only get reruns since NBC and CBS are not offered w/my satellite. I can get CBS with snow using rabbit ears.....

Marti - Jhanai's bra story is a hoot! Kids can be so funny, and it is so good she can laugh at herself. At her age, I would've wanted to switch schools if something like that happened. She's a special one, Marti.

Well, I am going to drive to town by myself today on the snow and ice. I've done it many times before, but not so far this year. School is cancelled again today. Katie will have to make up any days over 3.

I have to tell you I am about to starve to death!! Although I feel good, since I am getting such good, healthy food, it is not enough for someone at my weight! But I am on day 5 of 7, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel! And truthfully, there are "free" foods I could eat to help, but I just don't want a big bowl of green beans and cauliflower, you know what I mean? I have tried to keep filled on water. It helps. But I will be real happy to get back to the regular program on Saturday!

Quit post before I get ready for school.

Jana--I received your info yesterday. I forgot to mention that and to thank you. Now...do you pick one from each column or one from each page? It looks as though it's one from each column but I just want to make sure. I believe I'm going to try that on Monday. My cupboards are pretty bare right now and I need to do shopping this weekend. I will be bringing the list. I want to renew my Costco Card. Buying Chicken there is fantastic!! (price wise) And the huge bags of veggies.

Not wanting to get my adoring publics panties in a twist over missing me, I have decided to stop my studying and next christmas's gift preparation to grace you all with my presence. For some reason I just haven't felt like getting on my computer lately. I have been in such a funk, I haven't felt like doing much I didn't have to do. I guess I am just depressed about my lack of self restraint on my diet and exercise plan that instead of doing something about myself and decided to pout and be sad. However I am trying to snap out it and marti telling me that everyone was threatening me got me off my fat buttocks and on to the boards. So thanks to you all for threatening me and lighting a fire under my behind.
I hope everyone is doing ok today and enjoy the feeling of being alive and well. Juts reading your guy's posts makes me feel better and laugh even when I don't post anything. You girls are a hoot!!!
Jana: I enjoyed viewing your wonderful pictures. You shouldn't worry so much about how you look, you are so cute!!!!!!! Of course I better than most know that it is how we feel about ourselves and see ourselves that matters. Just know that I think you look lovely and happy go lucky!!!! I just think you dogs are sweet as well. I want another dog so bad. I had to give up my two babies a year after my ex husband left me with four pets and no money. I worked 12 hour days at the time and I knew they needed better. I also had to move because the house I was living at was selling the place. It was the hardest thing I had to do and I still cry about it. It still hurts. I spent more time than usually finding the right people to give them too, not anyone would do. The couple I gave my baby boy dog to, still keep me informed of his life. They right me letters in his voice, calling me "mom" and they had professional pictures taken of him and sent me a 5 by 7 picture for Christmas. They don't live far from me and I could visit if I wanted, but it would be too hard on my heart. Some people just don't understand how pets become your family, I gave away my babies and will forever feel guilty about that and like a piece of my heart is missing. So, I enjoy seeing others pets. Sorry, don't know why I rambled on about that, but My babies picture is on my computer and I thought about him. Sorry. :^:

Kayecee: Whip my butt???? I dare you!!!! hee hee. Such threats!!!!!! You need to channel that rage somewhere else missy. Hee hee I hope you are happy now with this long rambling post about nothing and everything. Hi to Angie, Cristi and anyone else I missed.

From the Animal Planet: (sort of) Day 6 of 7 on the Fast Track diet for the overweight mammal, and she is searching for food. Her prey is hidden and although she smells the air in hopes of finding what she is looking for, there is nothing but vegetation within her reach. She suspects others from her pack have become nocturnal and are gorging at night while she sleeps... There is evidence that they have eaten and have not called her to the feast. Once again, she tolerates the vegetation and hopes for the end of the bleakness.

LOL!! Yes, Neal and Katie have been raiding the fridge! Neal does it while I'm in the shower, and Katie does it after I'm in bed. They have been really good sports about the whole Fast Track diet, tho. I can tell I have lost, and will be so glad to get weighed on Sat. AM!!

I've taken a break from Spring cleaning, and got out my scralbooking stuff again. I'm having a lot of fun with that.

Jana~too funny! :lol: Good writing to. Okay, now you have me very curious about the WW Fast Track if you don't mind I would love the info also. I never was much of a fan of Frasier. DS used to watch it and I thought it was boring. I started watching it a few months ago and think it is so funny. It is reruns on FOX but I haven't seen them before so they are new to me. I don't know what station the new ones are on, or even the day or time. Have fub scrapbooking today!

Marti~be careful girly with those backpacks-they are murder on your back! :yikes: When I went last year at the beginning of the year there were a few girls that thought they would try the ones on wheels, found out soon enough it wasn't going to work because there were just too many people in the halls and the aisles in the classrooms were not wide enough. Maybe that's something you can try where you go. A lot of the teachers had them also.

Shanna~sorry to hear about your babies. :( You are so right about our pets becoming our babies. Our little old dog is our baby. I am wanting to get another dog also, a small one.

I went to Wal-Mart this morning and wow-I really don't like shopping at the end of the month. The closer to the first it gets the crazier it gets at Wal-Mart. Nothing much going on with me, seems all I do now is pack and do laundry, laundry and pack...

Hey, did I ever mention to you ladies about a possible Dr. Phil weight loss challenge in my area? Well, it kind of came about a few months ago and I didn't think it would ever happen but it looks like it is about to. We'll see...I hope so because I definitely think it will help. I know when I was attending WW meetings it totally helped. I do good on my own sometimes and then slip. So I am totally looking forward to this. If everyone agrees on a day and time looks like it will happen next week. I have GOT to get this under control. I don't know why in the winter time I never want to do anything, but I just can't wait around for the 'right' season to get started and motivated. :blah: :blah: :blah:

Hey girls! Just a quick post. I had to make an "appearance" after threatening Shanna! :lol: Gotta protect my territory. :lol: I don't feel too hot. I went to the dentist yesterday. I got a filling, a temporary crown, and a tooth surgically removed. *OUCH!* Not a fun time! (Although, after getting the gas, I do vaguely remember telling the dentist that I was on a beach in Hawaii with him and asked him to hold my hand. Then I told him I felt like I was visiting a House of Ill Repute- I was getting screwed and paying for the privilege! *sigh* Do y'all think he'll let me come back? :lol: I got a big enough mouth without all the gas making me a little less..... uh.... subtle.... :lol: Please, God, I hope I didn't grab his butt! :lol: ) Then I hit the codeine!!!! I was cranked up on high for a couple of hours- Mom laughed her butt off at me all the way home. I finally crashed and slept like a log around 10. Now I'm just drained. I'm gonna go and hit the sheets. (NOOOOO..... NOT WITH THE DENTIST! :devil: ) Night y'all!!!

Oh and Marti- sorry I missed you on MSN Monday night. I read your PM today but my brain hurts and I couldn't figure out how to reply..... even though I know I've done that!! :(

I was feeling a little stressed out this morning thinking that I am wayyy behind in Powerpoint because I just tend to put it off until necessary....well I came home and finished it all! All four presentations are finished and sent to the instructor. Why was I stressing out so much???

Well ladies... I will do individuals tomorrow...I need to get some dinner, do some pilates, go to wal-mart, then try and get to bed early. Think I can do it? I'ts almost 7:00. I think I'm having a late start of the day!!!

I didn't have to call the show,,,didn't have to do backstage. So I hung out in the green room...did some sewing, and chit chatting with the gang. Now for why I was embarrassed. I for the first time helped the soldiers with their chain male..35 lbs of link...anyways they need help adjusting their tunics under it. So there I am pulling and such, got to the last guy,,,feeling cocky that I knew what I was doing, I pulled his sleaves,,,they leaned down to pull the hem of his tunic down..pulled his shorts down instead...and then got my hair caught in some of the links.Which was of course right about his belly button. No matter how you looked at that it didn't look good...lol


But I can say my story wasn't as embarrassing as Kaycee's!!! Naughty naughty!!!...lol

Cristi,,, I know what you mean about seeming to be doing the same thing day in and day out...fold clothes at work...fold clothes at home. I had 6 loads of laundry to put away...all mine!

Okay, girls, I got weighed today since we are leaving in the morning for Owensboro, and I wanted to share it with you. Are you ready??? I am down 8.5 pounds!!! I once lost 10 pounds on WW Quick Start years ago, but had no idea I could still do this well!! :D I know a lot of it was water, but who cares? Whatever it was, I lost it!!!

More good news - my nephew's wife had her twins. Ceasearean, not spelled right, but you know what I mean! Anyway the boy was 5lb 8 oz. and the girl was 4lb. 6 oz. Momma and babies are fine. I will be going to Indy next week to see them and can barely wait!!

If I can check in tomorrow, I will. But if not, I'll check in when I get home. Neal, Katie, her friend Kayla and I are going to the Owensboro Executive in to see a Bealtles wannabe group perform. Neal and I have seen them before, and they look and sound just like the Fab 4!!

Kayecee~too funny! :rofl: Funny you should mention that though. When DS had his surgery I was telling him-I wonder what funny things people say or do while under. For some reason when I had mine done I felt like I did or said something. He said "Don't even say that, I don't want to think about it." I laughed! :lol: Anyway, hope you are feeling better since the visit.

And CONGRATULATION'S on the twins! How perfect, a boy and a girl. I too would love if Dr. Phil came to our location. The challenge is just some ladies that got together thru email on his site and are going to get together and go through the challenge together. Some have read the book some haven't so it should be interesting. Kind of like a Dr. Phil Weight Loss Challenge/Book Club. Haven't worked out the particulars as of yet but will cover a bunch of things at the first meeting. I really look forward to it.

Marti~how was James' chili? I almost made chili yesterday, and then was going to today. But I am going to wait until tomorrow when I have more time. I like to soak the beans for a few hours before cooking them. How is school going? And your backache?

I've really got nothing planned again today. Took DD driving this morning. She is doing so much better and I am feeling more confident about her driving alone. I still want her to have more driving hours under her belt though before getting her drivers license. I wish she wanted to drive at 16, or 17, or even 18. Oh well...what would I do with my time if I didn't drive her around? Oh, I know-get a job! I actually have been looking for a job, just haven't found one yet. I know I will soon enough.
