Jaded Ladies meeting ideas
 

Hi Ladies,

Since we lost the other thread, here's a new one to discuss when and where to meet.

So far, it seems Evansville, Indiana is the place, but when?

Also, the 3FC are thinking of doing t-shirts. Do we want one, or how about our own that say "Jaded Ladies" with maybe a small "3fc " lettering at the left shoulder? Oh well, we can decide that after we figure out who all is going!

Anyway, when is a good time for everyone? I'm very flexible. Also, how long? 2 days and 1 night? More?

O.k. I really love this site, but I really don't think I want a shirt with the words FAT CHICK emblazoned on it. :lol: Maybe a small 3FC somewhere. I don't ever wear t-shirts though. I wear long button-up shirts that help to cover the butt. (At least that's what I keep telling myself! I could wear a camoflaged circus tent and that butt is gonna be noticed! :lol: )

But you know.. I have to agree with you on that. If they were to put 3 Fat Chicks in itty bitty little letters on the.. let's say.. the tag.. I'm all up for that. Otherwise.. I would have to agree with you.

I like T-shirts.. mainly to workout in. Hey.. there would be nothing like sweating in a t-shirt that says 3 Fat chicks!! People would think I had low self-esteem and wonder why I would consider myself three!:D

I do like the idea of advertising....this site is great. And I've made such great friends. I'm glad I have your e-mails now!

Oh... wait... I didn't leave any idea's for this topic...oops...maybe I better get down on the chitchat thread....

I think a "Jaded Ladies" t-shirt with 3FC in small letters underneath is a great idea Jana. I didn't know that #FC was thinking of doing a t-shirt. I definitely will get one to support them and the site if they do.

Also, 2 days and a night is good for me. Timewise I am not sure when would be a good time. I think I am waiting to get others suggestions to go from there. Jus the end of July is not good for me. Other than that right now I have no plans.

Like Kaycee I love this place but....fat chicks on a tee would be hard for me to do. I love having the tee say Jaded Lady...

Anyways we all were doing this major weight training for a charity event in Raleigh North Carolina,,,I was the only Canadian woman there. Anyways we all got tees made...way cool we called ourselves,,BTTW,,,which stands for Balls to the Walls...kinda like going all out when working out...ya know?
Anyways I wore my tee with pride,,,after all I worked hard for it. Came in third by the way...lol Anyways if any of you know anything about BFL Porter Freeman is like a god to alot of BFLers...anyways a couple of years back I got to meet him, and I was wearing my tee and he came up to me and asked if I was the Canadian from that team, he knew about us and well me. Talk about being all excited... and well I got some awesome pics and my chair got moved from the back to the front...what a great time I had. (I would have had his baby right there if he had just asked...lol) Ok nuff said...*sigh

I have mentioned to Suzanne that nobody in this group wants the words "fat chick" anywhere at all on the shirt. I think that will be a forum-wide decision. But I also said we understand that the majority will rule.

Personally, just for our little group, I was thinking about a white or pastel t-shirt, with jade green letters that say Jaded Lady and a small 3FC on the left shoulder. Nobody but you would know what the 3FC stands for - I mean, it could be 3 funky centipedes or a million other things! Some of you girls who are good at design could come up with something.

Cristi - 2 days and 1 night is fine with me, too. Anymore than that and I will get homesick!

Who else wants to go? There will be plenty of time to save money - probably 7 or 8 months. While we are there, I want to get my nails done. I have Never had them done professionally! I'm going to pick some far out design and go with it! Also, we need to bring lots of pictures of the family, okay? I would love to put a face to the people you guys talk about! And how about a high school picture, too! That would be too funny!

I totally agree with Angie-this is going to be like a pj party! I look so forward to it! :dance: Do we really have to bring a picture of us in High School? I was such a dork in High School. Just kidding-OMG I don't even know if I have one! I better start digging. If I don't have one I KNOW my Aunt does. I definitely will bring photo's of the family-have LOTS, & LOTS of those.

P.S. Also, be prepared to have your photo taken. I take a camera with me every where I go ladies.

A Pajama Party!!!! Yay, I can't wait! But I gotta tell you, I may fall asleep first but you guys better not put my big honkin' panties in the freezer like we did in high school.... LOL!!!

I was looking at the Map of US...and I noticed that three of you...Kayecee, Jana & Cristi all live on one side of the world.. :D

And me, Shanna, and Angie live on the other side....We would be so far apart now wouldn't we?

Maybe the year 2005 we could meet in the middle more?? I don't know where, but it's just a suggestion. Or you could all just come to Oregon! :lol: Now that's the best idea yet!!

Any ideas ladies on what to do while in Evansville? Of course Jana-you know your way around so what's in Evansville?

I did a search and one thing I saw I must do (of course you ladies don't-I can do it before we meet or after) is go to the zoo! I am a nut for zoo's and everywhere I go I have to see their zoo! My kids got so sick of the zoo and tell me what is the point? All the zoos are the same. Oh, I beg to differ. But that's me. Anyway, I didn't really know what to look at as I am not sure what is planned or everyone's interests. I'm not trying to planning anything-I was trying to find what to do there. I sent off for a brochure.

PS - FYI, there is a gambling boat!

That's the site I visited Jana and sent for a brochure, of course it was just a quick skim as I was trying to do two things at once, definitely will go back. A gambling boat huh?! Hmmmm... :chin: :smug:

Actually, you'll be glad to know Antonio is not my heartthrob! But if I can get John Michael Montgomery to show up, it's all good! My girls recently saw him in concert and I was so jealous!

No Jana, I am just reading you ladies comments. Although, I have to agree about John Michael Montgomery, he's a cutie. Of course if you throw in George Strait and Chad Kroeger (the lead singer of Nickelback) I am right there with you ladies and Jana I'll let you have John Michael Montgomery! ;) Just don't make me have to choose! :lol:

I don't know if I should tell you this Cristi, Nickleback is from my area...and I got to see them recently,,,but awhile back 2 years ago I went to their concert and ended up in a fight with a young guy. Monte thought he was doing me a favour with getting floor tickets...(not cool with all the moshing going on) Anyways this guy kept slamming into me on purpose and I at first was...oops sorry LET ME MOVE OUT OF YOUR WAY but then I came to realize he was doing it on purpose...grrr so I told him to stop...he laughed and kept coming at me,,,I moved so far away from him I could barely see the stage or anyone on it....and yet this clown kept coming at me,,,the last time he banged into mehe hit so hard that I bumped Monte and he went down,,,grrr well let me tell you I bounced back so fast I think he was surprized,,,specially when I grabbed him by the jugluar and started kidney punching him...the boy went down with me on top...I was just getting into my groove when Monte pulled me off of him. But let me tell you,,,,that guy probably to this day has a fear of women...and cringes everytime he hears Nickleback.

I really am a peace loving woman! But when push comes to shove...push better know I can and will take them out! I had to put my Nickleback in my cd player for my drive across the city tonight...its so aggressive and so I go rairing into the green room,,,loudly saying *Do you have ENGERY?* Thats my way of reving up the cast...
Another great show tonight...standing O ...gotta love it. I call it giving us Scooby Snacks! From the booth I heard alot of crying....

Man, I wish I were able to fly out for a gathering--it would be a blast. ;)

Unfortunately, I am stuck here in Vermont, being very much tied to my coursework and clinical rotation. Oh well, I'll be able to go on holiday soon enough after I graduate.

I'm actively looking for jobs post graduation now, so wish me luck at finding my dream position. The one I am most interested in pays a whopping $28/hr, and thats the STARTING salary! It just blows my mind, especially since I now exist on $650/month.

My family always has a lot of stuff going on in the summer, so we need to pick a date for the slumber party.... August 7th is OUT for me, because my friend is getting married, and we have been friends since we were 9, so I can't miss that.

How about Saturday August 14th or the 21st? Or even during a week, it makes no difference to me....

Jana~either weekend ( August 14th or 21st) sounds good to me right now. I haven't made any plans for the summer months because I am hoping to be working soon and don't know if I will be able to take time off. For that reason a weekend would be better for me than a week day.

Kat~so glad to hear from you, we have missed you. I am keeping my fingers crossed :crossed: in the hopes of your new DREAM job!

Cristi - it's cool that you already marked your calendar!

I guess when we go would depend on if anyone else is coming, and which weekend they could make it. We already know that Marti and Shanna can't make it. Angie? Kayecee? Susan - you can fly here instead of Arkansas, lol. Kat and Katie - how about you? If any of you know for sure that you are or are not coming, please let us know.
