Hello gals--
Angie-- OMG :fr: ...I'm so glad you and your family are ok!! What an experience to go through. The weather is crazy!! Not something you want to have all year round. But for some reason.. I thought it was heading South, not North! I hope it will pass soon for you all. Cristi--Any luck with yet with the house? I'm hoping for you!! Oh, I just received your card in the mail today! Thank you so much!! It really brightened my day! :flow1: Kayecee-- You definately met with an angel that night! What a wonderful thing to experience! I just love hearing stories from people who experience things like that! Anyone else have a great story like that to share? Shanna-- Saw the recipe. And it looks good. :T I'm going to have to try it when Jhanai is over for the weekend. She and James both love soup. Especially in this cold weather we're having. Jana-- Are you having any luck getting those photos posted?? Well today was pretty good I guess. I don't particularly like my math class, but only because it feels like I'm back in grade school. But I guess if I knew math really well (like I used to!) I wouldn't be in that class, now would I? I have this one woman in a few of my classes (she also worked at Sony) and we were sitting during one of the lectures and she was asking me if I understood some of the problems we had for homework. I told her that I haven't actually started it yet. Then she looked at me and asked me why was I so calm about it all. She feels frustrated already! I just told her that if I were to start panicking and worrying about it all, that I wouldn't do so well in my classes. Panic just makes things worse IMO. I'm ready to get a job instead of going to school though...but unfortunately I have to bring my skills up to date to do that. I've been thinking of places to try and look for the summer.....not much out there. I need to start in a place that will hire someone new to this kind of work. Part time would be great. Have any of you browsed around and looked at some of the progress pictures? I was doing that earlier and man oh man...there are some great losers on this site!! The atkins forum has a few and the girls look fabulous. I'm hoping to update my photos by spring. And hopefully I will be in better shape than I am now. Wow... looks like I'm just babbling along... :blah: :blah: so I guess I should actually take a look at some of this homework that she's so worried about. I hope it's simple and I can help her out later. Talk to you all tomorrow. Marti |
Hiya ladies,
Marti - thanks for the yahoo info. I will check it out... Neal helps me in the house, too, when he is on vacation or anytime I need help. Seems like all of us Jaded Ladies have real sweeties, don't we? Angie - so glad you and your family are okay! What a nightmare! Hope you are feeling better today and have your voice back. Cristi - I also have Windows XP - is there something I should know about downloading pics? Don't you just love the "go back to a previous date" function of Windows XP? It has saved my butt more than once! Kayecee - aww, I bet Vallory looks so cute! Your story about the cop gave me the willies! I have had some weird stuff happen too! Maybe we can swap ghost stories at the pajama party, okay? For some reason, when I tried to get on here yesterday morning, it said it wouldn't be back up until this morning! So I didn't even try to come back til now! The twins are coming over to play afterwhile. They are both loving the playroom, and especially the "tent" I fixed for them. It's a card table that I hot-glued some fun fabric all around, with a flap for them to get in and out. They like to hide in there, lol. The top is paint to match the room, and it's really cute! Then later I have to go get my hair trimmed and dyed. BROWN, not orange and purple, lol!! Neal calls me a Suicide Brunette - "dyed by hand" lol! What a wise guy! Have a good Tuesday! Jana |
Oh Come Jana take a chance...I bet you would look quite fetching in orange and purple hair...lol
And now tell me a kid that doesn't like tents? I used to bring in chairs and set a tent up for Brandon and make him snacks and he could play for hours... Marti you are so right, nothing good comes of panicing. (except when its your child and (fill in blank here)) Im pretty cool in a crisis. Except when Brandon cracked open his head,,,talk about wigging out. And when Tanner needed emergency surgery...I was no cool cucumber then either. Kaycee,,,,I am a firm believer in Angels too, I know that a second either way would have been fatal and yet we slipped throu. Ya know you need to send your story in too Woman's World. Good for Vallory! Tanner got his ear done a couple of years back we took him to a tattoo parlour....lol The guy who had done it had so many tattoos and piercings...yaaaaouchh! I met him while I was getting a tattoo...he was a really nice guy. Anyways Tanner has a 14 gauge sleeper. No gun,,,just a huge needle...*shudder Well I better get to work,,, We have dress rehearsal tonight...got Tanner's makeup case all set. Never thought I would ever say that...hmmmm just don't seem right....lol Angie |
I just had to pop in quickly before I go to school.
Angie--That is how my daughter had her ears pierced. You would think a 4yr old would scream at something being done like that! But she didn't and she had both ears done with a needle. Her dad wanted her to have body rings rather than the normal loops...not as easy to lose. (she was constently pulling out the little loops when she was a baby) Ok ladies....I will be back tonight. I've gotta finish getting ready (yeah... I'm finally taking showers again!)Only one class today!! Hurray!! Until tonight then Marti |
Hello my friends..... :grouphug:
Today was a beautiful day! Spring like weather...just didn't stay long enough. I'm wondering just how much rain we'll actually get this year....and I sure hope the summer isn't going to be **bleep**!! :dizzy: After reading Kayecee's experience I thought I would share one of mine, or actaully my daughters however you want to look at it. About 6 yrs ago when my daughter was 3, my ex's brother was reported missing. He had visited all his friends and family then disappeared. After two weeks he was found at the bottom of a 200ft. cliff. Apparently he drove himself off. (but there are some things that tend to look differently...we don't know) Well, this devestated my daughter. He was one of her favorite Uncles. So her dad explained to her the best way he could explain to a three year old, how to remember him. He told her to close her eyes and look through her family album. He told her to remember all the fun times they had together, make a memory picture and to stick them in her "album" and she did! She would close her eyes from time to time and say "Poppy (her name for him) I have another picture to add!" (It was so sweet) Almost two weeks after his memorial, I was outside pushing Jhanai on her swingset. (I used to push her for hours -literally!)And she was just having a grand old time laughing and giggling! Then our dog we had just started barking and I thought maybe we had company..but no one was around. Then he started growling in Jhanai's direction. I was mad because he never acted that way around her..they were buddies. That's when I looked at Jhanai. She was so quiet but she was smiling from ear to ear and had her eyes closed ( I had stopped pushing so she was just sitting in her swing)...then she started laughing and talking saying "yes...I am...ok... I love you too" Then she popped her eyes open and said "Momma... I have more pictures to add to my album!" I looked at her (the hair on my arms were standing a mile high!) and said "you do?" And she replied "yes, I just saw Uncle Matt, and he's ok and said he loves me" Well.... that did it.. I took her off the swing set and bolted to the house. (We lived in my in-laws yard in a trailor) I ran inside and told my mother in law everything that happened and she smiled and said "I'm glad someone got to find out how he's doing" It totally freaked me out....she was only three, so it wasn't like she was putting me on or anything. I get goose bumps to this day thinking about it. And the funny thing....was as soon as Jhanai opened her eyes... our dog was back to normal and bouncing around like he always did. Isn't that bizarre? I just know her Uncle came back to make her feel better. Wow... that was longer than I thought! But I had to share that. I always feel she will be protected. I've asked her if she remembers any of that and she says only a little bit. I'll have that memory forever. Well ladies...since I took up so much space... I think I will go for now. I will probably check in later before I go to bed. Take Care Marti |
Marti the day before my Grandfather passed away I had such a vivid dream of his death that I awoke crying. Talking with my mom she told me if I tell a bad dream it will go away forever. Well with in 24 hrs my grandfather had passed away ,,,same way I saw it. I saw everything in the dream. Casket, burial plot, everything. Infact I even saw 3 caskets,,,one belonging to my grandpa's and the other two to local town folk, well, with in a couple of days of my grandpa's death these other people with the last name I had seen ingraved on the caskets had died. Needless to say my family kept this *behaviour* quiet,,,untill I moved away...lol
I get the occassional dream now. And it still scares the begeebies out of me. Well tomorrow I have a eye appointment, a Dr appointment and my nails to be done and flowers for a friend to get...and Tanners second tech rehearsal. This friend that I need to get flowers for,,,just had surgery, the kind that you get skin taken away. She had the gastric bypass last year and lost 140 lbs. So yesterday she got rid of her apron and had her boobs put back where they used to be. YYYYYEOUCH! So anyways thats whats happening here.... night all Angie Go to Chit Chat 24! |
