Michelle - Thanks for the pork chop recipe, I like to make pork chops but I never have anything actually to do with them so this will help, so will knowing the points!
So I am wondering about this 1/2 cup of scrambled eggs that I had this morning at our work cafeteria...I asked someone on another thread and they thought around 4 or 5... I dont have my book on me but I think it would be about 5, hopefully not any more because I am kind of over points for this time of day already so here goes... Breakfast 1/2 cup scrambled eggs - 5 pts I peice toast - 2 little bit of butter - 2 Lunch Subway 6 inch Turkey Sub - 5.5 pts ( per Dottie's ) Water - 0 Total so far - 14.5 Leaving 12.5 for rest of the day, okay girls I need a low point dinner idea badly - got any suggestions? That would also be filling? Let me know... And Michelle I know what you mean, alot of me is doing this for me but also for my husband, when he married me I weighed all of about 130 pounds, I want to be back there badly, for me and him. Okay check back in a little while.... |
Oh Carrie I am so sorry I missed ya for dinner ideas. I have so many recipes and things that you could have used depending on what you had on hand and what you were hungry for. I am the queen of recipes my DH tells me.
Your scrambled eggs a 1/2 cup, 5 points is right on. Sometimes that egg in the morning is better for you because of the protein. The protein keeps me satisfied longer in the morning then anything else. I am so tired I just can't seem to get enough sleep for some reason. Like I said earlier I went back to bed which I have only started doing that recently normally I am up and at 'em. Cleaning or running errands or something other then going back to bed. I guess I need to start taking my vitamin again. Ok here is my journal for today I missed my points by 3 points just couldn't eat anything else I feel full and satisfied! Breakfast 1 egg 2 pts 2 slices rc 1 Lunch 12 oz machine made cappicuino 3 pts 1 apple 1 pt Dinner 1 cup califlower 0 points 2 Tablespoons couscous .5 pts (didn't like it YUCK) 3 meatloaf muffins 6 points Snack Aunt Annie's orginal pretzel 7.5 pts (per Dotties) Total 21 points Ok need to go rent a movie or something hope everyone has a great weekend!!! Michelle |
Morning!!
Okay sorry I was MIA for the weekend, I told you I was bad about that, we are always going - going on the weekends...
I was over points on Saturday ( by quite a few but I splurged since I was with my parents for dinner ) and I was back OP on Sunday, 27 points...so I figure I am going to have a bad day once in a while, I have to allow myself something like that or I will go nuts...but now I will not do it for a while...so anyhow how was everyone's weekend? Mine was good, of course it was short...it was so hard to get up this morning, so hard....it was cold but so warm in bed....once it starts getting cold I have the hardest time getting up... Ok so breakfast: Granola Bar - 3pts Water - 0 You will notice that I have a granola bar like every morning basically, it is just easier for me to grab while heading out the door to work... plus i know it is low points for me...well anyhow "hello", hope you did well over the weekend, and I will check back after lunch... :D |
Good Morning
Good Morning!
Hey Carrie no problem on being MIA for the weekend! And you did great this weekend! I allow myself a little over on either Saturday or Sunday not alot over but a tad if I am feeling deprived. So did you WI today yet? My WI was yesterday and I was down 2 pounds. Now if I can only sneak in some exercise I will be good to go I think I have my eating down pretty good. Granola bars are good for you they have alot of nutrition in them so eat them every morning if they are easier for you. Me I alternate between oatmeal, an egg, or even sometimes so reduced fat pnut butter either on fat free waffles or on reduced calorie bread. This weekend wasn't to hot here we had to take our 6 month old kitten to the Pet Emergency room yesterday she was really sluggish on Saturday and yesterday her one eye became really cloudy like maybe she was going blind in it. Thank God though she has an infection that is attacking her eye and with the meds the vet gave me she should be alright. I don't know if I will be alright though she claws the heck out of me when I try to give them to her.......AGH!!! Anyway I need to run and eat some breakfast I will check back later this afternoon. Michelle |
Afternoon
Michelle - I did weigh in on Friday and I was down to 222, so that was 1.5 pounds down BUT...I weighed myself again this morning and was back up to 223, but I need to stay off of the scales except for once a week...so I am not going to weigh in again until this Friday or Saturday....
GREAT JOB ON THE 2 POUNDS DOWN!!!!:bravo: :cp: :balloons: All we gotta do is keep this up and steady and we can lose the weight that we want to...and I dont know about you but I am eating what ever I want on Thanksgiving and Christmas...those are the holidays and I am not holding back - just so we get that established right now, ha!! :D :hun: Sorry to hear about your cat...I know how it is when you have a sick pet, it is like one of the family...our dog ( westie named Les ) has a sensitive stomach and everything else...he always has reactions at the vet and it is scary.... Okay so for lunch I had: Chicken - 2 pts Spanish Rice - 6pts water - 0 pts ---------------------------------- 8 pts total 3 pts for breakfast - makes 11 points down and 16 left for the day... I was thinking about making spaghetti for dinner because it is quick and not alot of fuss....I have not looked at the points on spaghetti, is it bad??? |
Hi Carrie! Sorry I haven't gotten back to you till now, it was a busy afternoon for me!
Spaghetti if you are careful you will be alright use alot of veggies in it and you have 16 points left for the day so you should be alright:D ! Oh I am not skimping on Thanksgiving and Christmas those 2 days are free for alls here!!!!!!!!! Here is my journal for today Breakfast 4 slices center cut bacon 2 points 1 egg 2 points 1/2 cup milk 1.5 points 2 slices rc bread 1 point Lunch Burger King cheeseburger 8 points small fries 5 points (DH took me out for lunch) Dinner Creamed Turkey over savory cornbread 5 points It put me .5 points over but I had earned 3 activity points so I am okay yet. Well gotta run to watch a movie with the family......talk to you tomorrow!!! KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK GIRL WE WILL BE THIN IN NO TIME............WAHHHHOOOO!!!!! Michelle |
Hi Carri and Michelle,
You guys are doing great. Keep up the good work. Carri do you have a recipe for the spanish rice? My family are rice eaters, but a few variations might be nice. I did check out ww on line. Breakfast - oatmeal, 1/2 cup milk, small apple Lunch - chicken, tossed salad, veggie salad, coffee supper - beef stew, 1 slice whole wheat bread, 1 cup milk Have a great evening ladies. Kathy |
Morning....
I was over points a little last night - but not by too much ... I actually had like 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups of spaghetti ( I was hungry )
and no sauce but had a little bit of butter ( oops ) and some parmesean cheese...I am sure it was not that bad but I had to guess on some of the actual amounts...I will try and be more on the ball today...going to the grocery store tonight so I will take my counter and get some good things... that center cut bacon was pretty low in points, what brand is it? and what is the "rc" bread? After dinner I did have two small squares of this lemon bar thing but it was pretty low fat and they were small squares...I tell ya I was hungry last night.... Do you use the low fat peanut butter? If so what kind and how much fat does it have? Hi Kathy !!! :) How have you been? From looking at what you ate yesterday it looks like you did really well - and that is great that you are not skipping meals.... I got the Spanish Rice recipe off of www.allrecipes.com and it was under Mexican Rice I .... it is good...me and my husband love it, I kind of play around with the recipe some.... Okay so I am off to start the day anew and definitely to stay within my points today....:D Have a great one, talk to you guys later.... |
Good morning,
It looks like it is going to be a nice day here so I was thinking i just might walk Cole to the babysitters and then to work. We sure don't have too many nice days left until we get snow. If we hold off until next week then we are doing really well. Well had more Oatmeal for breakfast this morning, small apple and some milk. I must run and get ready for work. Have a wonderfull day Kathy |
Good morning
Hi Carrie & Kathy! Kathy looks like you did really good yesterday and you are off to a good start this morning too with the oatmeal and apple!!!! WAHOOO look out we are going to sexy babes in no time!!!!!
I had oatmeal this morning and a 1/2 cup of milk 4.5 points for my breakfast. I think I need to stay away from the eggs for awhile for some reason yesterday I was starving and the Burger King at lunch didn't help me either.......AGH!!! I ended up going over by 9 points yesterday after I posted my journal I hit the cookie jar and had 7 oreos which took 9 of my flex points I know that is what they are there for but I try really hard NOT to use them. Carrie the center cut bacon is Oscar Meyer it is kind of on the pricey side but I got it on sale this week at the store. RC bread is reduced calorie bread you can have slices for 1 point versus the 2 slices of regular bread for 3.5 points. Love just love the reduced fat pnut butter (of course I am a pnut butter hound) I use the Peter Pan rf and it is 190 calories, 2 dietary fiber, and 11 fat grams. I think it is like 2 points per tablespoon I don't have it here in front of me but I think that is right I will check and let you know. I start work on Friday kind of looking forward to it but not sure how that is going to effect my WW it might help and it might hender we shall see! Michelle |
Michelle and Kathy!!!
rc - reduced calorie, duh Carri, ha ha
No, Michelle I think the going to work might help, then you do not have time to think about food, you will be busier and it will give you some more exercise, as far as the food goes, you said you will be working part time so you will probably get minimal time to eat so just bring a quick lunch or dinner...like the cold meat sandwhich and some low fat chips, carrot sticks or FF pudding cups...etc... Yeah I need to find other things for breakfast that are low in points , I will be looking for that tonight... Yes, I too LOVE, LOVE peanut butter, I have the rf Jif and it is really good, I think you are right on the points...I also love bacon which is a weakness but when you said that 4 pcs was only 2 pts that made me want some...well I am getting ready to go to lunch so just about anything sounds good right now, we hardly have anything in the house, thus the going to get groceries tonight, so I will just have to see what is there....it may be PB&J for lunch on whole wheat and some milk, I hardly ever get calcium, I am lactose intolerant.... well anyway check back after lunch, see ya girls!!! |
Found a new lunch
Hi girls! I found a new satisfying lunch for only 3 points so you could add fruit or something with it too! Campbell's Soup at Hand now I had the velvety potatoe and it was 3 not sure how many points the other kinds would be but I am sure probably close to the 3 or 5 point range.
So do you have any idea what is for dinner tonight with going to the grocery store? We are having steak on the grill it is like almost 70 here today..........WAHOOO!!!!!! Michelle |
Michelle - it is pretty warm here too, well I guess it is probably about 65 degrees but it feels really warm for some reason.
I have had some of those soups but I have not seen the velvety potatoe, I will definitely look for that one, I love soups, sometimes I just feel bad about all of the sodium in them.. I had more spaghetti for lunch, it was a bad choice since it was probably about 12 points or so but that is about all I had.... As for dinner on nights that we get groceries it is usally lunch meat sandwhiches and chips...I get those individually packaged servings of pringles and it is 4 points per package....we usually dont get home from the store till about 6 or after so it has to be the quickest thing available, since by then I am freakin' starving!! Ha!! You know I was looking at the different points for 1 cup of milk, and it is amazing to me that skim, 1%, and 2% all have the same amount of points....isnt that odd? So of course in my mind I am going to drink the 2% right? Right... Well my husband just called and said that one of his friends may be coming over tonight so he was going to have to skip the grocery tonight, nice try I said.........men! Well anyway I hope you guys are having a great afternoon, |
Hey Carrie!
I do my grocery shopping on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning which ever day seems to be the day I don't have much else to do. Normally it is just me who goes DH is normally working all week on the road and I try not to take my teenager with me or I would be bagging groceries to pay my bill!!!!! You are making me so hungry for spaghetti!!! My family loves it and I haven't made it for awhile maybe this weekend I will make it. The soup I never really thought about the sodium but then I don't normally salt on anything at all so it shouldn't hurt but then again you never know. I am starving and am trying to keep busy till dinner is done we are eating later then normal tonight I had some errands to run and I didn't get a start on it till late and the dang potatoes take an hour to cook........AGH the agony! Well have fun shopping let me know if you find any low point foods!!!! Michelle |
Good Morning
Hi All...
So I didnt end up going to the grocery last night, my husband did have his friend(s) over and they were outside all night and I just enjoyed sitting around in my pajamas and watching TV.... guess what? I had that same darned spaghetti last night...it was already cooked, and it was the easiest thing that I could see, I was so hungry by the time I started getting to dinner... I did make a chicken breast with some spices and cut it up in strips and tossed it with the rest of it, it was really good and filling actually.... I was about 28 or 29 points so I was pushing it...I have been kind of cloudy on the points the last two days so today I need to make sure that I write everything down.... I was thinking about starting to eat the same thing for lunch everyday to take the guess work out...make it something low in points like a chicken breast and some veggies, I could make it before hand and then just reheat all week....I wonder if I would get bored with that though....I would still have variety at dinner and on the weekends...ah we'll see....I am going to the grocery tonight so I better think about it today.... What kind of potatoes took an hour? Baked Potatoes? They sell these potatoes at the Kroger here that are already in plastic and you put them in the microwave for 7 mins, they come out perfect everytime...so good..... Well I guess I have rambled....talk to you guys later when you wake up, ha.... |
Morning
Good morning girls!
Well I was up early this morning my DH had car auction today so we were up at 6am...WOW that is early for me. But I got up and dressed and when I took my son to school I went to the grocery store to grab some ff creamer for my coffee and they were just putting their salad bar stuff out so I picked up a salad for lunch today. Then I came home and cleaned up the house and am doing laundry and boy do I feel good that all that stuff is done already. Don't it just feel awesome sometimes to sit in your PJ's and watch TV by yourself and get some down time? Sorry that you didn't make it to the store last night but when you go tonight take your counter and just check out labels you would be surprised at the things you can have. I found that I didn't have to buy the expensive Smart Ones ice creams and spend 4 points each. Minute Maid has an orange swirl that was cheaper is just as satisfying if you are in the mood for ice cream for 2 points. Hey I saved money and points.......WAHOOO!!!! I would probably think you might get bored eating the same thing for lunch everyday Carrie. Maybe change it every week what you do. Like eat the same thing one week and then change the next week. Well this morning I had 3 ff eggo waffles for 3 points and a 1/4 cup of lite pancake syrup for 2 points made a 5 point breakfast plus 1 point for my creamer in my coffee 6 points a bit higher in points then I normally eat but needed a change from the oatmeal. Well I guess now I have rambled enough I will check back later on today! Michelle |
Good morning Carri and Michelle,
I finally weighed myself after 2 1/2 weeks and I can't believe it, I lost 7 pounds. I don't care if it is water or anything else, I was just too darned happy. I have been back to work for 2 full weeks and I think it does help as I am too busy to snack all day. So Michelle I think the job will be a help to you. Carri does your hubby usually go grocery shopping with you? And how do you stop him from putting junk in the cart? I usually have to insist that Mark stays home. Didn't have a good eating day yesterday as I sat in the hospital with my SIL who is in early labor at 28 weeks with twins. They were able to stop the labor for now so we will see what happens. Lunch - cambells buttersquash soup, small piece apple pie (no icecream) Supper - burger king cheeseburger, fries and a coke. Breakfast this morning oatmeal, and coffee - I have stopped putting sugar in my coffee if that makes any differenceto the bad habit. Have a great day. Kathy |
WAAAHHHOOOO
Kathy doing a dance for you girl:balloons:  :cb: That is just so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good bye 7 lbs forever!!!!!!!!!!
Glad they were able to stop your SIL labor 28 weeks is way to early! Did they put her on bed rest now? You are doing awesome and one bad day isn't going hurt you every now and then just as long as you get back on track the very next day. In fact sometimes it helps to have a very high point day according to Wendi's plan. I am getting excited about going to work it is going to be so much fun working for the holiday rush at Walmart!!!! Plus I will get a 10% discount while I am working just in time for my Christmas shopping!!! I will post my journal from yesterday a little bit later time to go eat some lunch my stomache is growling:doh: Michelle |
Thanks for the happy dance Michelle. I have a little more pep in my step this morning just for some extra exercise.
My SIL is in the hospital on bedrest now until the babies are born. They are giving her steriod shots so the babies lungs will develope a little faster just in case. She is in another city which is an hour away so when we go it will be fast food unless we are smart and pack healthy stuff to take with us. Which today I am feeling healthy and fast food is definitly not in my plans. Walmart for Christmas will be busy! You won't even have time to think about snacking. It will be great to have some extra $ for Christmas. Maybe you'll like it so much you will want to stay on after Christmas for just a few hours a week. I have to say I'm envious that you have all your housework done for the day. I am now off to get that done. Have a great lunch. Kathy |
Kathy my prayers and thoughts are with your SIL and the babies!!!!!
Carrie how you doing today girl? I got a 30 minute walk in even though it is cold, windy and crappy outside today. I walked to our uptown and did very little shopping since I knew I would have to carry it home but I got a good deal on some candles and I am a candle freak. Well I probably won't check back in till later tonight, I have a bunch of errands to run after I pick up my son from school. So everyone have a great OP day!!!!!!!!! WAHHHOOO we are awesome!!!!!!!! Michelle |
WOW! You girls have chatted quite a bit since I wrote this morning, I didnt have time to check in until now...
Kathy - :bravo: :cp: :cb: on the 7 pound down!!! Way to go!!! Yes, normally my husband does go grocery shopping with me and he throws all of the junk in that he wants, I have really gotten some will power though and I just stay away from what he gets... he is not on a diet ( although he could lose about 25 ) so it is not really fair to make him eat what I eat...plus on the WW plan I can pretty much eat anything within reason...so... I will keep your SIL in my prayers.... Michelle - You and I will be order to report great weight loss in a few weeks or days!!! Just keep up the great work.... I am also a candle FREAK, yes FREAK...I go for the Yankee candles... I burn what I feel the season is ( I am odd I know, ha ) like right now I am burning Spiced Pumpkin and Banana Bread and Cinnamon, all Yankee, their candles are awesome... I did a pre weigh this morning and was down another 1.5 pounds but that is preliminary and next week is my TOM so that should add it all back on, water anyway.... No breakfast this morning, did not have time...for lunch was chicken salad on wheat - 6 pts FF pudding - 2 pts water - 0 Speak at y'all later.... |
Good Evening.
Carri, that is great that you have so much will power. Can you bottle it and send some to me? My DH is a chip snacker and I am not. He's salty and I'm sweet so that does save me a little bit. But once in awhile.... Great job on the loss. Every bit counts. Yahoo. Michelle does your hubby shop with you? Does your walmart carry groceries? Will you get a discount on them also? Had not so bad a day eating wise today. Tuna salad on a whole wheat bagel for lunch, mango LF yogurt for a snack and a taco salad for supper. (Wendy's for supper as that is closest to the hospital). All labor has stopped for my SIL, but she is on bedrest on the high risk unit of the hospital. If the babies are born this week there is a 70 % chance they will live. 80% chance next week, so we will take it 1 day at a time. They have a little guy that will be 1 on halloween so I guess he will be moving in with us for awhile. Wow I'm sure I will get a bit more exercise chasing 2 of them the same age. Have a great evening Kathy |
Good Morning....
Kathy - yeah it has taken along while to get that will power and some days I dont have any...I am like your husband, I crave the salt...I am really not that big on sweets....I hope your SIL can keep the babies in until next week or after....I know it will turn out fine....:) Michelle - how ya doing this morning? Well I was at about 28 points yesterday, I had a ham sandwich and chips for dinner, with a tiny lemon square for dessert...I dont have my point book with me to say what it was, but I was right on track...I dont think that I got enough water in yesterday so I should try to do that better today.... I did go to the grocery store last night but I really didnt find anything special, I got that velvety potatoe soup and some other soups since they are lower in points and filling, especially since it is getting so cold her, it was a high of 60 yesterday and it is going to be worse this weekend...oh well I love the cold personally always have, until it gets to freezing then I want to stay inside and hide under blankets  I will check back later, have a good morning girls.. |
Good Morning!
Morning girls it is freezing here this morning in fact when I took my son to school there were snowflakes flying around a bit......AGH the agony!!!!
Right now the Walmart is a regular one but they are building a new one that is a SuperCenter that is going to take the place of the regular one it is to open Fall 2004. So for now no they don't have groceries Kathy and if I remember correctly you don't get a discount on food items. Never ever do I take my DH to the grocery store he wants all garbage food and unlike Carrie I don't have alot of willpower I have some but not alot yet. Glad to here Kathy that they have your SIL stable! Let's keep on praying she goes a few more weeks. So you have a 1 year old yourself then Kathy? Oh I remember those days!!!!! And now you will have a border to make 2.........oh boy girl you are going to running around alot!!!! Lots of activity points!!!!! Carrie glad you got to the grocery store last night. Let me know how you like velvety potato soup. What other kinds of soup did you get I have a feeling I will be living on them at work. Ok here is my journal from yesterday I did get a 30 minute walk in and 10 minutes of lifting my sons weights giving me 3 activty points. Breakfast ff creamer 1 pt 3 ff eggo waffles 3 pts 1/4 lite syrup 2 pts Lunch Salad (all veggies) 0 pts 2 T Light Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing 2 pts 1 T shredded parmesan cheese 1 pt Dinner 1/2 cup peas .5 pts scallopped potatoes 2 pts Sour Cream & Dill Chicken 5 pts Snacks 1 cup milk 3 pts 1 cup cocoa 2 pts 1 choc. dipped peanut butter granola bar 3 pts Ok need to go get some laundry in will check back a little later. Michelle |
Michelle - I just got the creamy potatoe and the "classic" Campbells tomatoe, which I love, I just really like those new ones that you just heat and drink out of the cup...you should stock up on those for work...there were snow flakes? Crazy...before Halloween even....I think it is going to be around 48 degrees for a high on Sunday, we could see snow flakes then, like I said I dont care I like the cold...
Ok so far breakfast I had: 3/4's of a strawberry bagle - 5 pts ( according to book the whole thing is 6 pts but that seems a little high...I had no cream cheese I like them dry - crazy I know... ) Water - 0 Later... |
Afternoon Girls... so lunch went down like this ( ha ) ...
Homemade chicken salad on wheat - 6 pts chips - 4 pts water - 0 pt 1 chocolate Riesen - 1 pt ( I am assuming, I am not sure ) Total for day so far - 16 pts, looks like it is going to be a lean dinner, maybe salad..... later... |
Afternoon
Yup Carrie I said snow flakes :yikes: ! It was just a few snow showers but you have to understand I HATE snow, I can live with the cold but snow is the worst!!!!!
I am going to stock up on some of those soups for work for sure and a piece of fruit will make a nice light lunch for me each day. Ok Breakfast was oatmeal 3 points and coffee w/ff creamer 1 point Lunch 2 slices rc bread 1 point and 2 oz 98% ff ham (think it was 3 or 4 points I need to check) My dinner is a big point one so I wanted to stay lean on the points till then. We are having Texas Joe Casserole, (I use alot of JoAnna Lund's recipes) and breadsticks. I might make some chocolate chip blondies they are 2 points each well worth it though for me to have something sweet after dinner. Well tomorrow is the big day I will try to write before I go to work tomorrow and then let you all know my schedule it will be funky different hours each day.........(that is the part I hate)!!!!! Michelle |
Hi Michelle and Kathy -
Michelle, today is the big day huh? How long has it been since you have worked? I am sure you will be fine, you might even enjoy being away from the house. Hopefully it will not be an early shift... For Dinner last night I had: 2 - McDonalds hamburgars - 12 pts When all was said and done I think I was over by about 2 points but I will just try and be a little below today....we will see...I was able to stay OP last weekend and would like to do it again this one so wish me luck ( and to you guys too ) I had to make a cake for work today, it was a co-workers birthday and the way we do it here is the last one that had the birthday has to make the cake for the next one ( make sense )...it was a caramel cake and chocolate buttercream frosting, OMG!!! Will I be able to stay away from this? Only God knows.... I just hope it turned out, I cannot bake, seriously ... after it had cooled last night I noticed that the middle was sunkin in so I tried to cover with frosting, ha..... Well I will check up later...have a good morning.... |
Hello?????
Where are you girls today? Michelle you must be working? Kathy?
Well I did not have any breakfast except for a small bite of the cake that I made just to make sure it was okay....uh huh ;) So anyway since there is nothing to reply too yet I guess I will check back after lunch... see ya Girls!!! |
Good morning.
Had a sleep in today as I don't have to be at work until 12:00 today. Carri what type of work do you do? Birthday cake yumm yummmm. I can't bake so I enjoy it when someone else does. Good luck on staying op this weekend. Just remember what the goal is and what the reward is when you do. You can do it. Michelle good luck today. I hope all goes well and you enjoy it. Your day should go really fast. When is Thanksgiving for you? I ask because isn't the busiest shopping day of the year the day after Thanksgiving? You will have fun. Yesterday lunch cambells tomato soup with a few goldfish crackers and some ff chocolate pudding. Supper DH made mac and cheese with homemade salsa. Late night snack (Hang my head) icecream with m & m's and whipped cream and bananas. Am walking to work for the rest of the week. Check back later. So have a great day. Kathy |
Afternoon
Hi girls! Well today was orientation at Walmart! Only there for 3 1/2 hours so that was cool wish I only worked that every day.......LOL!!!! Anyway I can't wait till tomorrow I officially start working I don't mind working the weekends that way I get 2 days off during the week to be home for my son when he gets home from school.
Thanksgiving is November 27th and yes the Friday after and the Monday after are big holiday shopping days here. Monday because alot of people are off for 1st day of buck season and the ladies go shopping while the men go hunting at least here in PA I don't know if they hunt in the other states or not. I was starving yesterday I did good until around 8pm then I sabtoged myself I had a sandwich and a klondike bar......AGH!!! I used flex points of course, it must be getting time for TOM or something. OH CAKE!!!!!!!! Love cake!!!!! I would have wanted the middle with all the extra frosting on it from sinking........LOL!!!!!! Well everyone have a great weekend I have a bunch of stuff to get done here. Michelle |
Wow Kathy - that dessert that you were talking about really made my mouth water - I usually dont crave sweets but that sounded good....Thanksgiving for us is on November 27th and you are right - the day after is the busiest shopping day of the year, my aunt gets her whole family up at like 4:00 that morning to go stand in front of stores so when they open at like 6:00a
they are the first ones in...it is crazy ... me I dont mess with it, I dont like that kind of crowd - but yeah I bet Michelle will definitely be working that day and VERY busy.....Michelle is MIA today, huh she must be working, she will be tired tonight from her first day I bet...oh and you asked me what I did at work, I work for a big insurance company, I help agents with thier questions about the policies that they sell....I like it enough, good pay... Well here is what I had for lunch: 2 pieces wheat bread - 2 pts shaved chicken lunch meat , 3 slices - 1 pts 1 t Miracle Whip - 1 pt I pc low fat Mozz cheese - 2 pts peaches in lite syrup - 1 Water - 0 ------------------------------------------------ 7 pt lunch Okay talk to you both later...crossing my fingers to stay OP for weekend, I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I dont pop back in, have a great weekend!!!!!!!!! :D |
Michelle's journal 10/24

Good Morning
Hello girls...so Michelle you did not tell us how your first day went, what is up? You were probably too tired, huh? 5:30 in the morning? that is an unholy hour, just kidding, I am not a morning person, I dont have to be at work every morning until 8:00 and that even seems early to me...
Hey Kathy! Okay so for dinner I had: Max and Ermas Sante Fe Salad w/o the tortilla Strips with a very small amount of dressing - 15 points, alot of points but worth it, so I came in at 26 yesterday by my count, but now we are getting ready to go out for some lunch, we will see how I do remember weekends are hard for me, but I am determined to do it right this time....check in later, have a great weekend!!!! |
Hi Carri and Michelle.
Hope your weekend is going good. Michelle did you have to do the Wal-Mart chant before the start of your shift? How did your day go? Carri what is it that you do? I have to be at work for 9:00. Some days it is still touch and go if I make it on time. I am not a morning person. Breakfast today none, no time Lunch - hubby made potatoes and ham and veggies Supper - spaghetti I am really finding it hard to drink any water. Any suggestions on how to fit it all in? Have a great day tommorrow. Kathy |
Kathy - Hey how is it going? They must have Michelle pretty busy huh? Oh you asked what I did for a living, see my reply back to you on 10/24 , ha, I know it is hard to keep up with all the info
:) Saturday was an OFF program day, so I wont even go into what all I had, but it was good, way off points Today so far: Breakfast - none Lunch - Salad with chicken and dressing - 14 pts Talk to you both later!! |
Hi Carri,
Yes now I remember as I had lots of questions for you about your job. Does your job include all types of insurance or just 1 type. I automatically think of car insurance, although there are lots of types. I will be laid off in January so I will probably go back to school. One of the insurance companies here is looking for a few insurance agents so what type of education and training would I be looking at? Good to see you getting back on track after a day off. That is one thing that would help lose my motivation is trying to get back on and not beat myself up about it after a day off. Enjoy the rest of your day. Kathy |
Michelle - I work for Conseco Insurance Group, we deal with annuities, life insurance and health insurance only. I am not a licensed agent so I do not know what kind of training that you need. I know there are state tests and things like that to take, also fees for getting your different licenses needed.
For me it is not hard to get back on after a day off, if anything it helps me to stay more on track, if I dont treat myself once in a while I would not stay on at all. I always give myself a goal, like this Sunday we are celebrating both of my parents birthdays, my sister is buying a cake and ice cream, so I say to myself, stay OP until that day and then I can have a peice of cake. I dont let myself feel guilty for eating anything, I shrug it off and know that tomorrow is another day....I used to feel so guilty that I would go and throw up what I ate... I know that I was doing something really stupid...so for me guilt cannot come into it... Well today I have to work at 9:30-6:00 shift and I do not get lunch until 1:30 so I will be starving, normally I would go at 12:00 I brought a granola bar to snack on so hopefully that will help... I was at 26 points for the day yesterday, yeah Me!!! :) :D Michelle - Hope everything is going good... Talk to you guys later... |
Hey girls
Sorry it has taken me so long to write today! I worked all weekend and was beat yesterday in fact I went to bed at 730 last night. But I woke up at like 630 this morning and started to clean before I took my son to school and then I had a lunch date with my Mom (she is in a nusrsing home). And I am still wading through a ton of laundry.
No we don't have to do a Walmart chant before starting work, I was a little nervous on Saturday that was my 1st offical day out on the floor. But it wasn't bad I just have to remember to wear comfortable shoes I wore my black boots yesterday and man my feet were killing me. I didn't do good over the weekend in fact this week I gained 3 lbs!!!!!! I think TOM is due here really soon I forgot to mark my calendar like I usually do. I have been craving some nasty sweets!!!! Well I will check back a little later to see how everyone is doing today!!!! Michelle |
Hi Michelle!!!:) Good to hear from you...yeah I know how that is, I am getting my TOM this Weds or Thursday and I always have crazy chocolate cravings and headaches...lovely time for me really... For us all....Sorry to hear about your three pound gain but I do not ever weigh myself right before, or during my TOM, because you will always be carrying a couple of extra pounds, so I wouldnt sweat it....work it off by doing the laundry, ha....
