Kiwi, that crockpot soup sounds yummy - especially the biscuits. Mmmmmm. I wish I had a homemade dinner waiting for me when I get home.
Toodles, cowsies. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. We are still having indian summer here. Upper 70's and absolutely perfect weather. And saturday night is bunco night too. I just love my weekends. :) |
after ds is gone, can I convert to Catholocism, become a nun and spend the rest of my life making wine?
|
yes
|
Good one --
Hu's on First?
Actually, Peaches, you could do that now. I don't think they'd mind if you brought DS with you. And he could certainly meet lots of nice girls there. Kiwi |
You can't be a nun. Do you have a bell? All the nuns I know have bell that they ring when people are getting on their nerves. How will we hear the bell? Are you aware of your shoe choices? Did you know that you WON'T look like Audrey Hepburn in the Nun's Story and you won't get to marry Baron VonTrappe, or Dick VanDyke, for that matter.
|
Dick Van Dyke married a nun?
|
I thought he married Mary Tyler Moore. Who would want to marry Dick Van Dyke anway? Isn't he about 85?
I know that nun who moved to Rome, Peachy. Maybe I can get her to put in a good word for you with you-know-who. (If he's so ill, why don't they just let the poor guy stay in bed???) |
maybe Bagzie will sponsor me for nunship since Lush is being typically mean. On the other hand, Lush is in better standing with you-know-who than Bagzie who forgot to skirt around some rule.
Sugar, I wouldn't want to marry Dick Van Dyke because he falls down too much. |
Go read this
Because I said so. That's not good enough? I'm going to another in a long series of dinners at in-laws'. I'm a good little daughter in law. Sort of. I don't reciprocate, but heck, they've seen our house; they don't want to come here anyway. Bye. Don't join a nunnery yet. Kiwi |
k. Kiwi, I done it. There's something in there about that school PaintySon went to.
How is the food at nunneries? |
Pantypants weighs in...
with words anyway.
Life is good. DH is yelling at Cowboys game, I am having peace and quiet with computer and about to pay bills and read and "pooze" around for most of the afternoon. Wabbs.. Please double check your thinking: Once an emotional eater ALWAYS an emotional eater? I don't think so! You can change girl! Pick what you would rather be and aim for that! You know all the cliches, I'm sure... but it's more useful to find out what's eating you.... Might have an application for DH's smoking, too. I take it he smokes rather than eats to soothe his ruffled feathers. I offered my DH a (not terribly) kinky sexual favor everytime he told me he had wanted a cigarette but had managed NOT to smoke. We both had a pretty good time, and he quit smoking! (Of course as he wanted cigarettes less and less, he got more direct about the sexual favors... but actually THAT's better than him expecting me to be Clare Voyant. Hmm. Maybe that's what happened to the Sisters of Clare..... SugP: I think most men like ANYTHING that's big! OK. Off to bills and books. |
Interesting solution to smoking
But it sounds like a lotta work
Cowpea, I think the food at nunneries is as good as you make it. :p I been to th'inlaws and back. I be stuffed. Met a nephew's girlfriend, good lord is she cute! And she has a job. He sure does know how to pick 'em. Gots nuttin' much to say. I do have some advice -- I notice that I'm getting a lot of email from places that pretend to be Microsoft, re: internet and security patches -- Do not fall for this stuff!! They are full of viruses! Microsoft does not send out email notices about their security patches. Hope everybody has their anti-virus software up to date! Anybody know how you're supposed to prune tomato vines at the end of the season to let the tomatoes ripen best? Oh, I do have something: DD went to a sleep-over/swimming/birthday party at a hotel in town last night (don't worry, it was chaperoned) and in the evening they went down to the lobby and she was playing her guitar and she and her friends were singing. Then the lights went out! The whole town was blacked out for several hours. Well, everybody came wandering out of the bar (which was pitch black, I'm sure) and started listening. Then a wedding party, whose reception had been cut short, all showed up and they started listening too. So she entertained the whole town. The father of the birthday girl had to inform some of these people that the girls were 15 for heaven's sake cuz they were hitting on them. But all in all, they had a blast. I stayed home (our power stayed on for some reason--we are outside of town and usually ours is the one that goes off) watching TV and puttering on the 'puter. Kiwi |
The little dd is really blossoming. Why though in the town of Dogpatch ME don't you all know each other already?
Painty, do you think dh is just saying he wants a smoke now??? |
Cowie-- what difference does it make whether dh is "just saying" he wants a smoke... if he doesn't have one, and everybody has a good time? :)
Kiwi. thanks for the virus warning... I had those same persistent messages about 2 weeks ago.... Everytime Norton came up and screamed VIRUS VIRUS VIRUS.... I hate it when messages have lies in them... (Mine said something like "never mind that the return address on this warning isn't really Microsoft... blah blah. And DH told me that if MS DID have a problem, they'd send you to their website......) OK. Back to The Practice! |
