Hey girls! How are you?
How is the new "baby" Kim? A sweetie, I am sure. Kathy, where are you today? I am having another busy week. Getting 2 horses delivered tomorrow, need to call and check on my van (it is in the shop about an hour from here), DD has appt with the allergist Wednesday, riding lessons Sunday.......and somehow manage to catch up on work, too. DH and kids are off tomorrow for Veteran's Day. Not poor old me, though. I never get time off unless one of the kids are sick....and I'd rather be at work than have that!!! Well, I gotta run. Hope to hear from ya'll soon. |
Hey Ladies.
How is everyone doing? Kim that is great about the puppy. I bet the kids just love him. Is hubby maybe comming down with something? Is it tommorrow that your treadmill is getting fixed?I got all the clothes off mine and will bring it up tommorrow so i can start using it. I am on a mission to try and lose 7 pounds this week. I am determined. Or im just blowing :bubbles: some hot air because maybe it is not an achievable goal! :?: Robin that is great about the horses. That should be a little bit of stress taken off your shoulders. And that would be great togetherness time for the family. Did your husband by a walking horse? Is that the Tennessee walking horse? I hope not to much is wrong with your van. Is everyone in the house feeling better? I sure hope so. I posted some pictures of our baby no name on the thread Jolly's motivational challenge if you would like to maybe take a look and maybe come up with a name for him. He is 4 months old and he is needing to be registered, we are just waiting for the papers to come in the mail. I get the day off tommorrow, so I am hoping to get caught up on some much needed housework. So I will be thinking fond thoughts of both of you tommorrow. :grouphug: Kathy |
Oh Kathy! The baby is adorable!!! I can't tell, does he really have 4 white stockings or are his legs wrapped? He really looks like a big boy instead of 4 months old. I don't know about a name....I am no good at that. The 2 horses that we brought home today are Scout (part McCurdy and part Tennessee Walker) and Fancy (actually her registered name is Nellie, but I hate it). I will be so glad when they get to know me and trust me more. The mare is very spooky right now. By the way, your daughter has the face of an angel. How old is she? She is so pretty and looks geniunely sweet. I noticed on Jolly's thread, there are a lot of horse people. How great, all of us horse lovers from across the country, all meeting here. It is like a cyber trail ride.
Kim, how is your new little one? I would love to see a picture of him, too. I love animals! I always wanted to work at a zoo when I was growing up. I still think it would be cool! Well, did you get the treadmill fixed today? Is that what I smell burning......you are really burning some tread on it!:tread:   By the way, what are you having for Thanksgiving dinner? How many are you cooking for? I would be a nervous wreck, but I am sure you will do fine. Well, gotta run! The eyelids are drooping. I hope you both have a great Wednesday! |
Hey girls.....where are you?
Have a great weekend.:spin:  |
Hi Ladies.
How is everyone doing? It is Friday and I have the weekend off. YAHOO. Although it will be a busy weekend for me. I found out that the manager from another town only 25 minutes from here has transfered to another store, so I was thinking about applying for a transfer to that store. I haven't really decided what I am going to do yet. Robin is this your first weekend with all the horses home? I guess it will be a busy one for you as well. Horses and sick kids thats alot to handle. Hope it all goes well for you. Kim how is that new puppy doing? Did you get the treadmill fixed? Are you getting already for your company? Have a great weekend ladies. Kathy |
Hi,
I am new to this forum and hoping to lose about 40 lbs. So far I have lost 8 in 5 weeks. I am 42, married with 2 girls ages 12 and 9. I live in Georgia. My start weight was 168 (highest ever). I am at 160 now. I am 5'2" and I want to be 125-130. I lost down to 125 3 years ago and slowly gained it back. I am trying to get to the gym 2-3 times a week with also using my treadmill at home to supplement the exercise. Most weeks so far I am getting there 1-2 times. Right now my youngest is sick so no getting there tomorrow for the Monday step class I like. Looking forward to getting to know all of you and losing weight with you. Susi |
Hello Susi
And welcome. We look foreward to getting to know you also. Are you following any plan for losing weight or are you just watching what you eat and doing exercise? Robin is going through dealing with sick kids right now also. So once again here is a :wizard: sent over the wires for healthy kids by Monday. Robin how are the kids? Better? Did you have any time to spend with the horses? A family ride sounds pretty close to the perfect day to me. Can we come for a visit? I would bet that Scout would be a neat one to ride. Where Kristi rides at, there is a lady who raises and shows Tennessee Walkers and she brings her horses for training. Woww no trot because they walk so fast. It looks like you would need a different riding technique for that walk. Kim how is your weekend going? Is it Thanskgiving for you this weekend or next? How is the puppy doing? Did your other dog accept it willingly? or was there a little jealousy there? There is about 39 days until Christmas! I can't wait until the kids are on vacation. Well ladies, enjoy the rest of the day. Kathy |
Welcome Susie! We are so glad to have you. I am feeling your pain with the sick child. My 2 have been sick with one thing or another for 4 weeks now. They both started a round of penicillin for strep throat Friday, and now DS is breaking out in little bumps:eek: I don't know what is up with that, but I do know that I am ready for everyone to be WELL:tired: !!!!!
Cathy, the horses, oh the horses. Well, the mare is very, very spooky and a little too much for me right now. Scout is a total butt-head and is very stubborn! He refuses to gait properly. He is worse than riding a quarter horse.......so terribly bumpy that you can hardly stay in the saddle and does not neck rein, so you have to have 2 hands on the bridle. That leaves no hands for the saddle horn:yikes: Fancy (the McCurdy) is so sweet and extemely loving on the ground, but is not exactly what I would call dead broke to ride. She has chipped a piece of her hoof off on the bud sometime last nite or this morning and we had to call her former owner to come and "doctor" her up. She was bleeding pretty good for a while, but we got it stopped and medicated and vet wrapped it. I hope she will be fine.:crossed: Both these horses need an awful lot of work and I am not sure that I am the one they need to give it to them. They need someone more experienced to work with them. Oh well, I will do the best I can. I just hope I don't get hurt. I am too old to take those falls anymore. Kim, where are you, honey? You can get off the treadmill long enough to post you know:tread:. Just kidding, I hope things are going well for you. I know you are busy planning the big T-giving feast.:hun: Are we invited? Oh Susie, by the way, we are neighbors....Georgia/Alabama. Another southern gal. Hope to hear more from ya' soon. Well, I gotta run. Tomorrow is Monday...............again.:bb: |
Hi Ladies,
I thought I just might post here and see if the two of you find me and answer back. Kim if you find us, fill us in on how things are going. Did you get to read my comment about fitday.com and the private journal that has easy access to get to? Hi Robin, how are you doing? How is the first week of the kids being back at school going? look foreward to hearing from you. Kathy |
Hey there! Boy am I lost here now!
Hi Kim! Hope you find us! The kids are back in school full force now. I hate it. The homework, the morning hassles, etc. etc. We are half way thru the school year now. I hope the second half passes as quickly as the first! I want you to visit this website www.stablerclinic.com and read about a friend of mine's 5 yr. old who was in a terrible auto accident right after Christmas. He needs lots and lots of prayers...so many have been answered so far, because he was not supposed to still be alive. Please keep them in your thoughts. Well, I gotta run. Will try to check back later. |
Just bumping us up.

Hi Robin.
I looked at the website and what a great picture of the kids they have on there. It is a good idea so that everyone can see how Matthew is doing. Yes we are slowly getting back into the morning routine. Next week it will be even more hectic. I start my new job and have to be at work by 7:00 am. We are trying to figure out which one of us will drop Cole off at the babysitters, and how our routine will work out. Robin do the kids help you out with taking care of the horses, or do you and your husband do that? (or just you?) How is the Fancy girl doing? Kim how is that puppy doing? ttyl Kathy |
Hi Robon and Kathy - I am Finally aback - it has been 6 days that I have been OP - I really do feel different this time - I am really thinking and fighting urges and forcing myself to behave. Life is finally quiet here - we have been in the house for 3 months and I am just in love with it - it really is my dream home and the kids and hubby are just as happy - neighbors are very nice and homey. I went to a neighbors New Year's Party and got to meet everyone. Work is still the same - the teachers I work with are still snitty so I basically stick to myself - other than my partner, that is. I have been working that treadmill like no tomorrow and I really feel like I have energy again - it feels SO GOOD... I really hope I do not get bored any time soon. How is everyone else doing? Please, catch me up . I am so sorry I blew everyone off awhile ago. I just lost it and could not get myself to lose weight so I just ignored the fat and everything that went with it. But, I really want it this time so I am hoping I can do it. Let's see I weigh 192 lbs. - the biggest I have ever been but last time I lost weight that was the same situation so hopefully I will follow the same tracks and lose it too! Well, gonna go and browse some more since I am back - hopefully for good this time! Fondly, KIM

Hey Kim, glad to see you are back and have you motivation again. I have noticed an energy increase since I started using my treadmill, too. It is great. I can work out and watch tv at the same time and time passes so much faster.
My best friend just came and picked up her 2 kids. They spent the nite with me last nite, because she just came back to work from maternity leave Monday and has had a rough week. I told her she needed some rest and time with her DH. Her kids are 7 years and 8 weeks. I am sooo tired. I am too old for the newborn thing! I don't know how I managed with mine only 11 months apart! I was a little younger then, and didn't work...I guess that makes a difference. Kathy, how are you? You are going to have some rough mornings it sounds like, unless you can get DH to take the baby to the babysitter. That is so early for you to have to get up and out. I hope the new job works out great for you! Fancy is doing okay. We are still doctoring her leg everyday and it hasn't completely healed. I guess it is just going to take time. I got the bill from the vet....I was so afraid to open it because he kept her for 2 solid weeks and did surgery, cast, etc. ect. It wasn't bad, however, only 270.00. I really expected alot worse! The kids do help us feed up and everything when we let them. I am a little nervous about it because they are so darned contrary when you try to feed them, they will knock you down to get the feed! It is so cold here today. I think it is still in the 30's and the kids are tired of being trapped inside. So am I! Well, I gotta run, I think I will take a nap now that the baby is gone! Talk to ya later. |
Hi Ladies.
Robin you are such a nice friend to take your friends kids. And did you have some good cuddle time with the baby? Now are your kids asking if they can have a baby to? Thats too bad that your friend had to go back to work so soon. Here in Alberta I (or anyone) gets a year maternity leave. I would not have been able to go back when Cole was so young. Mark has been taking Cole to the babysitters every morning. He had to admit that it is not that bad and doesn't even take 5 minutes out of his morning routine. Thats not a bad vet bill. Your vets must be cheaper up there. The place where Kristi boards the horses: they have a horse that has a serious leg injury and they have to doctor her leg up everyday also. Well I must run, I wanted to pop in and say hi. Have a great day. Kathy |
