Hi Kathy and Robin - Sorry I have been MIA - we are finally in the house and the contractors are finishing up tomorrow - just the last bit of the deck and touch ups. But, boy did they give me stress and not to mention the unpacking - today I finally finished unpacking - I am hoping to clean the house tomorrow after the contractors go. I also feel really sick so I came home from work this morning and slept almost all day! My stomache is still queasy but I am hoping that I will feel better tomorrow. My parents and sisters are coming to visit Saturday - I am a bit nervous as they can be a bit judgemental but I know my house is wonderful so I am not going to worry about what they say. I really have begun watching what I eat but the exercise so far (other than emptying boxes and moving furniture) is nil - but I will begin to walk on Monday. You girls really sound like you are stepping up your effort - good for you!~! :) I have to stop for now - my daughter is whining about not finding something and is driving me crazy!!!
I will write more later! Fondly, KIM

happy heart 10-16-2003 07:16 PM

Hey ladies!

Kim, don't worry about the sisters, as long as you are happy, that is all that matters. You know, I always wanted a sister, but only have 2 brothers, but the more I hear and see from other people, the more blessed I think I am for not having one. I know this one girl that won't even claim her sister....she refers to her as "my mother's other daughter":lol: Anyway, enjoy your visit and don't sweat the details.

Kathy, I just can't do it......I cannot kick the sugar!!!! That is some powerful sh*t, I just can't beat it! Well, I won't give up. I have a good day, and then a bad one. I wonder if it could be PMS....I'll have to check my calendar.

I am really stressed about the horse buying thing, too. That could be part of the problem. It is about to drive me crazy! I am so undecided. Alex is really enjoying her riding lessons and coming a long way. I am so proud of her. I ride too, but I am not a very experienced rider and have become very intimidated by them in my "old age" When I was younger, I would climb on anything with four legs. Now, I am very nervous on them, and they know it!

Well, I gotta run. I hope you all have a great TGIF!

luckycharm 10-17-2003 10:55 AM

Good morning ladies.

Kim that is great that you are in your house and it is almost finished. That will be one big relief for you. I also do not have any sisters and felt cheated by my parents that they were just so awful to me just to give me two little brothers. (I know they did it on purpose just to make my life difficult) I can trade you for the weekend because I have to be honest and now that we are all grown, I do have great brothers. Hope it goes well with the visit. They will love the house just like your family does.

Robin what shall we do about our sugar problem! I did read somewhere that there is something that triggers sugar cravings, I do think it is bread but I will have to go back and try to find it, but if you can cut out bread it will also cure the sugar craving.
I am very well read about nutrician but I can never put it into action. I"ll read something and go ohh I can do that. But I'm wrong, I can't.

I'm really trying to drop some pounds so that I can have a little ride on Kristi's pony. He's just under 14.2. Very muscular, looks bigger than he is but I think that if I hold out maybe I can loose some weight. Maybe in my old age I am just a little nervous to get on him and my weight is a safe excuse. I used to ride but haven't ridden since I was 18. Plus I don't know how to ride english, but Kristi says she will teach me.

Hang in there. We will kick the sugar habit. We will do it.
Now that I have laughed really really hard about picturing my body in the cheerleaders outfit, I really must try harder.

Have a super day everyone
Kathy

luckycharm 10-19-2003 01:14 PM

Hi everyone
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Kim I hope you are feeling better. Do you still have your student teacher in your room?

Robin how is your weekend going? I hope you are having a good one. I found out that I am a stress binger. I always knew that I snacked when I was stressed, but I think I blocked it out . Now I know the more the stress the more the binge and it really doesn't matter what it is that I am shovelling into my mouth.

Kristi was really wanting us to buy her a little colt from the place that we board her other horse at. This colt is a registered paint and a beautiful little TB breeding stock so no real color. My hubby said NO. They put this horse and his mother in a sale, so I went out to the sale just to see what was out there. The horses were only selling for $300-$500 and Allan didn't want to sell his horses for such a small amount, but couldn't pull them out of the sale. I was trying to bid up the little pony and ended up buying him for $650.00. I was just sick at what I had done. I needed food, any food. The hay for the horses was looking pretty good. Allan paid for the horse, I didn't have to and after I had bought him someone offered me $1000.00 for him.
I came home and told hubby what I had done and I could not believe he wasn't even mad at me. He said to keep the horse and give it to Kristi for Christmas. My need for food instantly went away. I have never experienced that before. It is something I do not want to experience again.

Now I need to find a way to get the stress out of my system without putting something in my mouth. I won't go to any more sales either.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Kathy

happy heart 10-19-2003 10:12 PM

Kathy, way to go on buying the pony. Your daughter is going to be so excited!!!! I really think that has been alot of my problem lately......if I don't hurry up and settle on a horse (or 2 to be exact), it is going to cause me to gain 20 lbs AND get a divorce. It has really been taking a toll on me. It sounds like such a trivial thing, but it is really weighing heavy on me. We just traded our van in on a newer one in July and it didn't do this to me. I don't know what the problem is.

Kim, how did the visit go? I really wish my Mom could come and visit me (she died in 1989). Treasure every single moment you have with yours. It is amazing, but just 10 more minutes with mine would make such a difference since she died very suddenly and unexpected. I did not get to say things to her that I really wish I had.

Sorry about that, I didn't mean to be so depressing. I am overdue for a good long "I miss my Momma" cry. I can't seem to be alone long enough to do it lately.

Well, I am still on the sugar kick somewhat. I really think once I make a decision about the horses, whether it be right or wrong, I will feel better and get myself back together.

Well, I gotta run. See ya later.

happy heart 10-20-2003 06:57 PM

Just bumping us back up. Hope to hear from ya soon!

3mom 10-20-2003 07:24 PM

Hey Girls,
Everything is starting to get back to normal around here - Thank God - I am exhausted with all the stuff with a new house! Sounds like horses are on everyone's minds these days! LOL The sugar intake is a HUGE problem for me - I feel sick when I don't get it - I probably should have my sugar checked to see if it is okay. Fell yesterday and banged up my leg pretty bad so I am really sore today. Not much else going on - A busy Monday for me - my students were real whiny and crying alot today - I have no idea why! Talk to you soon Fondly, KIM

happy heart 10-20-2003 10:21 PM

Hi Kim,

I feel the same way when I don't get sugar....sick! If I could just kick it for a few days, I would feel so much better.

My kids have been out of school for 11 days now and we have to go back tomorrow. They added some new fall break for us this year plus an extra day for parent-teacher conf., and then a holiday thrown in there. It is a nightmare for those of us with both parents working that have to find babysitters, but the kids really enjoyed it. I did too, no strict bed times, no homework, no lunches to pack. Tomorrow morning promises to be , if you get my drift. I took the day off today, so my desk will be hidden under a pile of "to do" stuff, too.

I did get a little exercise today, I shoveled horse poop for about an hour. I will be so sore tomorrow!

Kim, I hope your leg is okay. You don't think you fractured or tore anything do you? Don't you feel like a total idiot when you fall? My husband calls me Grace, because I am so clumsy.

Well, I gotta run. I still have to iron

Have a great Tuesday

Kathy, where are you? :spin:

luckycharm 10-20-2003 10:53 PM

Hi Robin and Kim,

I am here in body but I don't know where my head is.

Kim I hope you are ok after your fall. It is good to hear that things are getting back to normal for you. Are you all unpacked and just about settled?

Robin you will find your horse at the time you least expect it. And it will be the perfect one. Wow thats everykids dream to get an extra 2 week holiday in October. Will they have to have a longer school year to accomodate for that? I like it when the kids are at home, but at least I don't have to find a babysitter for them.

I did something very idiotic tonight. I went to get something for supper at the grocery store, and I put up all my groceries, and she bagged all my groceries, and I was talking to the baby as she bagged, then I gathered up my groceries and proceeded to leave. Then I heard excuse me, excuse me and I thought, Cole's slippers are in my pocket so I couldn't have dropped anything so they can't be talking to me, but I turned around anyway and the girls say out loud, "You Forgot to PAY for your groceries" Boy, was my face RED!

I bought my self a chocolate bar as I went back and paid for my stuff and promptly ate it in the car.

Hope you ladies have a great night.

Kathy

happy heart 10-21-2003 09:07 PM

Hi ladies!

My mind has been "out" today, too. Just feel really foggy headed.

Kathy, that is so funny about the grocery store! I know it was embarrassing, but it is just hilarious.:lol::lol: (I am laughing with you, not at you) I did that once at my hairdresser. I totally left the building and realized it later that evening. I took the money to her house. I felt like such a heel!

I managed to get in 72 oz of water today and a 30 minute walk this evening. I am taking baby steps to get back to where I need to be. The sugar?......well, I had 2 pieces of pie and several pieces of candy at work. I am still hanging on to the thought that I will kick the sweets soon.

About the extra fall break, we are not getting out of school any later this year. Our brilliant :twirly: governor (which I did NOT vote for, but DH did), proposed some outlandish tax increase that was to be used for the school budget. It was not ear-marked for education, however, and was quickly voted down by the people of this state. In retaliation, he is freeing non violent criminals, cutting back the state troopers, cutting somewhat into the Medicaid agency (which is a system that I could rant on about, too), and says that schools may have to go to 6 hour days and some of them even close down. My big :censored:!!! He is cutting in all the wrong places! Sorry, that was one of my hot topics...:soap: Anyway, I really hope he enjoys this term, because I don't think he will have the opportunity to screw this state again!

Well, I feel much better after that! Thanks for letting me vent (as if you had a choice, huh?)

Well, I gotta run. No more free groceries Kathy!:nono:  :lol::lol: (sorry, it is just so funny)

3mom 10-22-2003 05:48 AM

Hi Kathy and Robin - Grocery store stories - boy have I got them! One day my daughter got mad at me because I would not buy her something so she told the manager that I was not her mother and I did NOT have any ID on me - to make a long story short I had to call my husband to confirm that yes indeed the little devil was MY daughter before I could take her out of the store! It is funny now but was I pissed at the time!! Anyways, U am starting to become really depressed about my weight to the point where that is all I think about, being so dam fat that I have no energy. Tonight hubby and I are going to go buy a treadmill = walking is the only real exercise I enjoy and the only time I have for it is in the early am = not a good time to go walking alone. I literally struggle to keep food out of my mouth = yesterday I realized I was not even hungry I just kept stuffing myself with anything bad I could find. I really identify with you girls about the sugar thing it really is an addiction. Talk about politics NYS is the most ridiculious state for that = you would think that the government is on a different planet when they can't see what we see that needs to be done. I know this is bad, but I gave up voting for awhile because I really feel it just does not help the situation. Though I really may vote this year. Work is fine = student teacher is gone and things are back to normal - talk about a know it all teenager!!! LOL Well, hope everyone has a good day ,,, here is hoping the treadmill works!! Fondly, KIM

luckycharm 10-22-2003 12:47 PM

Good morning.

Ladies is it California that now has ARRnold for the governor? Maybe you will get movie stars to vote for in your next election. I would gladly vote for Michael Douglas for our next prime minister. And I think the time has come for some women to start running in politics here. Our MP is such a joke also. You can tell it is election year. I just vote for the one who promises the least.

Oh Kim, what a mind your daughter has on her. Now that would be something to try and sort all that out. How long did it take before you took her back into the grocery store? Thats great that you are getting a treadmill. It is so hard not to get down when the weight doesn't come off with a snap of the fingers.

Robin do you still go to the same hairdresser? Now that I am not quite so embarrased I wish I could have seen the looks on the girls faces as I just started walking away without paying. I was almost at the door so they must have stood there open mouthed for a minute while they decided what to do! I told my husband he had to go to that store from now on.

Well baby just woke up so I better run and get him.

Talk to you later

Kathy

((((Hhheeelllooo))))

Where is everyone?

I hope you ladies had a good weekend.

Kim how are you enjoying the house? How did treadmill shopping go?

Robin I hope work is better for you this week.

Hope to hear from you both soon.

Kathy

3mom 10-28-2003 04:13 PM

Hi Kathy and Robin - I did get my treadmill and father in law is going to put it together tomorrow for me. I have been OP for 2 days now. It is so fricken hard. But I have realized thinking ahead about weight loss or health benifits does nothing for me. I need to literally struggle thru each day knowing each day gets easier. I am really serious this time. I am Morbidly obese and I hate it. Time to change me. I am in a strange mood today so I will write more later when I am feeling better. Fondly, KIM

luckycharm 10-29-2003 05:41 AM

Good morning ladies.

I broke down and bought the South Beach Diet book. It promises to cure those sugar cravings after 2 weeks. I was thinking I might start it Nov. 1. It is only 5 weeks until hubbies Christmas party. I am the largest one that attends these work functions and I really put alot of stress upon myself for weeks before we actually go.

Kim we will have to have a little challenge on the treadmill. I will have to bring mine up from down in the laundry room where it is used as a hanger for clothes that don't go in the dryer. A motivational challenge where we will both be the winner. I hope you have a better day today, and feel good about yourself. Try and feel happy about all the little things you do for yourself even if it is only drinking a glass of water. That is what I will try and do today also.

Robin how are you doing? I hope all is well. We are missing you and hope to hear from you soon.

Is everyones kids looking forward to Friday? What do they all want to go out as! Kim do you have to mentally prepare yourself for Friday for a week before you go to school? You must be glad it is on a Friday this year and should be Saturday next.

Have a great day.

Kathy

happy heart 10-30-2003 12:15 AM

Hi everyone, I am still here. My kids and I have something that feels very much like the flu. Took the kids to the doc today and got them loaded up on meds. As for me, I feel like He**! Fever, coughing, sore throat, body aches, the whole nine yards.

Sorry I have been MIA for a while, it has just been so busy around here lately. I will try to make some time to catch up with you ladies later in the week.

Way to go on the treadmills, ladies. I really wish I had one. DH says it will just be another one of those wastes of money, that collects dust. Oh well, maybe some day.

I gotta run! Have a great Thursday!

happy heart 10-31-2003 10:17 PM

Hi girls! Just bumping us up. I am feeling a little better today. I have been so bad, though. I ate nothing but candy all day long today. I am so ashamed of myself. Well, tomorrow is a NEW DAY and I will start fresh. Halloween is over now and I have to get control of my eating before Thanksgiving arrives.

Happy Halloween to you and have a great weekend!

luckycharm 11-01-2003 03:48 AM

Good Evening Ladies.
I always think of Alfred Hitchcock when I use that phrase.

Robin I am sorry to hear that you and your family are sick. It is bad enough when you are sick but to have you sick and looking after sick kids also.... my heart goes out to you. Your bed will be nice and cozy though. Togetherness time. :balloons:
Hope hubby wasn't sick also. There is not enough time in the day to add a sick man on top of it all.

I have to admit that i really really needed a treadmill for Christmas. No it won't gather dust, I will use it everyday. I hate it when he is right. :o

Kim did you get your treadmill set up? You must be happy now that Halloween is over. I would imagine that the kids at school were so excited that yesterday would have been a day to call in sick and let a sub handle it all. And now kids have all weekend to recoup before they have to go back. Now the countdown to Christmas is on.

Robin were your kids well enough to go out for halloween? Then your DH could take them out and you could have a little alone time. Not that your really alone as then you get to answer the door.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Kathy

happy heart 11-01-2003 09:50 PM

Hi all!

I feel a little better still today.(mainly because I am not at work)
Yeah, the kiddies went trick or treating. DH had to work because the past 3 halloween nights, there has been an armed robbery at one of our convenience stores here. Fortunately, nothing happened this year. A girl friend of mine took my kids and hers out so that I could get a little rest.

We are still horse shopping every weekend. We have made one purchase but haven't gotten her home yet. We have been very watchful of the mare we already have because she acted a little colicky. We walked her for a while and gave her an injection for pain. She seems to be ok now. I hope so!

Speaking of the treadmills, there was an ad in our local paper where a guy was selling his wife's treadmill. He went on to state how she just had to have it and would lose tons of weight with it and had done nothing more that hung clothes on it. Not only would I have sold the treadmill, but I would have been soliciting an attorney to take his tail to divorce court!

I post on another thread, Labor Day Challenge, that I would like to invite you ladies to join if you want to. We have done 2 challenges so far, Labor Day and Halloween, both of which I failed! We are starting a new one with a New Years Day goal and have challenged another thread for competition. It should be fun. Check us out if you'd like! We would love to have you! It will either be Labor Day Challengers Moving Forward Week 9 or 10, (I am not sure when the new week will start), but it is under Buddy Up also.

Well, I gotta run. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

happy heart 11-01-2003 09:53 PM

Here is the correct name for the thread I mentioned above.....hope to see you there!

LABOR DAY CHALLENGERS MOVING FORWARD~NEW YEARS CHALLENGE WEEK 1

luckycharm 11-02-2003 06:26 PM

Hi Robin and Kim.

Robin I hope you are feeling better. It must have been some flu that you had. I am glad your husband had an uneventful Halloween night. We did an early deposit at work so that there was no money in the store, as it was Friday and we are open until 9:00 and of course we are right across the street from the 2 crummy bars in town. If it was up to me we would just close early.
What are the signs of colic in a horse? Or new baby was gelded on Friday. Poor boy. Just can't wait to get the bill for that. Kristi has been working with him and he seems to be a smart colt. He is very affectionate. Moves very smoothly.

I do hang my clothes on the treadmill, but Mark being a smart husband never comments. Its just a walmart special for 100.00. Its made for thin people I am sure as it is not very wide. That is my excuse and I am sticking to that. :dz:
Actually seems as I would hate to let the team down, I will not settle for an excuse, so I will use it just to see if it can help me lose a pound or two.

Kim how are you doing? What have you been doing to the house lately? Any new renos or decorating? Or did you get that all done before you moved in?

Well I must go and clean off the tm. I wouldn't want to see it advertised in the paper and humiliated. And your right the alimony that he would have to pay me would be high because we would be divorced after that.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Kathy

happy heart 11-02-2003 09:26 PM

Hi Girls,

Where are you Kim? We miss you!

Kathy, the treadmill that you bought at Wal-mart, is it one that you have to manually make the belt move or does it move on its own? I have thought about getting an inexpensive one myself, but just wondered how well they worked.

We have had another day of horse troubles. I just don't know what is wrong with her. I guess I will have a vet check her out if she is not a whole lot better tomorrow.

Well, I am pooped and still have a lot of work to do. I stayed up most of the nite last nite with my son, who was vomiting every hour on the hour. We have had our share of illness around here lately. I am ready for everyone to get well!

Have a great evening!

luckycharm 11-03-2003 12:14 AM

HI Robin

:sorry: Sorry that things are so rough for you right now. I am sending a :wizard: over the wires to send good health and good vibes to your family and the horse so you are not so stressed. I hope that now that your family has had this flu that you will all be immuned for the rest of the flu season.

My treadmill is a manual one that works well enough for what I use it for. You can't jog on it as the belt slips if you go to fast, but I do break a sweat on it.

:balloons: and :grouphug: to you.

Hope your week is better.

Kathy

3mom 11-03-2003 06:08 AM

Thanks for reminding me girls - the kids have their flu shots today and today is the day I am supposed to schedule my flu shot! :) Anyways, been pretty busy this weekend = my nephew's confirmation, halloween - we had almost 200 kids stop by, yes that was NOT A TYPO, two hundred kids! I also found time to do my nails and a few other nice things! Life is really settling down at the new house - I actually feel like I am living here instead of just fixing it up. FIL is going to try to fix the treadmill today. I paid 500 dollars for it and the belt does not move when you get on it. ????? Either something is wrong or I am just way too fat! LOL Weigh in is today and I didn't lose or gain. Kind of discouraged but I really did not do well the past 3 days so I guess I should be happy. Robin - wow, I hope your family and horse start to feel better - that is obviously not fun to have a sick household. I think the last time I had that was when the kids were little and they all had chicken pox (knock on wood!~ LOL) RIght now I am trying to convince my hubby to let me get a new puppy - not going well - we have a shitzu/terrior who is a doll but I think she gets lonely when we are not here :( Girls, I think it is time to really buckle ourselves down and lose some awesome weight - it looks like you girls have done well so far but I obviously have not - what do you think is our road blocks and how can we stop them? I know I just eat to eat and I really am try to stop it. I also think that the antidepressent that I am on ( efforex due to severe stress the past couple of years) is also preventing me from losing weight. Another reason I want to go to the doctors to get off it - I think I am okay now, the stress is over and I seem to be handling life a ton better - not to mention the last time I lost a ton of weight I was taking nothing. Unfortunately, just stopping the med. is not the way to get off it you have to ease your way off it and the doc won't tell me how until I go to see him. So, my goals for this week are - go to the doc. , fix the treadmill and actually get on it, and really focus I what I put in my mouth. Maybe that is what we need to do, make realistic goals for the week. Hey, we might as well try that - I know I have tried everything else. LOL Well, I will write more later. Thanks for keeping in touch Robin and Kathy - it is nice to have friends to talk with :):) Love ya, Kim

luckycharm 11-04-2003 12:40 AM

Hi Ladies

How are you all doing tonight?

Another stressfull day at work, but man life would just go way to smooth if we didn't have to worry about work.

Kim 200 kids? We had 12 here at our house, and I had to dish out candy at my parents house as they were out of town and they had 5 kids (not including mine). But it was quite cold here.
So tell us everything you have done to your house. You must be quite pleased with all your hard work. There is something wrong with the treadmill. Hey you didn't lose BUT you didn't Gain. Way to go!

I sometimes think that I eat out of some sort of compulsion. Like right now we have lots of halloween candy. The kids eat and eat the first night and then they don't care it will last 3 months if it wasn't for me eating it. Its like its here and I have to eat it all TONIGHT. not over the next month. TONIGHT. I don't know why I feel that way. Maybe that is what I need to figure out.
When you get your treadmill fixed let me know and we will do a little challenge. Robin will have to find a nice walking tape to do our challenge also.

Robin how is your household feeling? I hope all is better. Did the vet have to come or is the horse doing better also. Did hubby get sick or did it pass him by and maybe he will come down with it this week!
Congrats on the horse purchase. What type did you buy? Tell us all!

Talk to you later.
:grouphug:

Hi everyone!

Kim, don't be hard on yourself. I didn't do that great either, but this time will be better...for both of us! I hope you can get the treadmill fixed soon and get busy on it. It will help greatly.

I had a poodle/shitzu mix that I got when I was about 15. He lived to be about 18 or 19 and I had to have him put to sleep a couple of years ago. It was so heartbreaking. He had been with me through the death of my Mom, a marriage, a divorce, another marriage and 2 children. I had him for more than half my life. What a great pal he was. I hope DH will let you get your's a companion. We are looking at a bloodhound that some people are wanting to give away. He is a hoot, reminds me of the dog on The Beverly Hillbillies.
I know what you mean about the antidepressants and losing weight, I take Paxil and have for several years now. I really do believe it makes it very difficult to lose, although my MD says not. I got off them once, but went into another depression, so getting off them is really not an option for me at this time.

Kathy, thanks a bunch for the good vibes you sent, they must have worked. We are all feeling better...even the horse. I took my daughter to the allergist yesterday because she is extremely allergic to horses (she tested VERY allergic to them on her skin test). I was hoping to get her started on allergy shots to desensitize her to it. She has asthma and starts to cough and wheeze after every encounter with horses. The allergist told us that there is no serum to desensitize to horses and that the best thing would be to just keep her away from them. Yeah...right. She loves them and we have just spent about $5,500.00 on horses and tack. We are going back next week to explore some other options. Also, she wants to be a Vet when she grows up. How unfair is that? She is also allergic to cats, dogs, and deer. That is everything we own (DH and FIL are taxidermists, too)

Oh well, about the horses, we bought a 3 year old black Rocky Mountain mare name Lil' (what a sweet, loving, people horse she is) and a 15 year old Quarter Horse mare (Sorrell in color) named Andi. She was really mistreated in her younger years causing her some injuries, but is a super horse and beautiful, too. She is a great child's horse and will be a great teacher for Alexandra.

My husband has picked out a very spirited young gelding walking horse name Scout, but we have not bought him yet. He will even pull a wagon, but he is very big and intimidating to me.

I am doing better with my eating these days and hope to see a loss come Friday. I can't wait.

I took the kids to the circus that was in town tonite and it was Great. I love it. I threatened to run away and join the circus, but I wouldn't be very cute in those little skimpy suits right now. I rode an elephant while we were there. Now that was a very "different" experience. The allergist that saw Alex yesterday, suggested getting her an elephant or a camel to ride. She was not amused!!!!

Well, good grief, I have just rambled way too much tonite. I had better get off here and do some laundry.

I will see you ladies, tomorrow!

Hello Dear Friends

I hope everyone is great today.

Kim, as I was sitting in the doctors office yesterday I could not help but count the days until Christmas and there is only 49 days and I would imagine that your vacation starts the weekend before that so you should only have 44 days to go until Christmas Vacation. YA HOO!!! Will you be getting company to come and stay with you in the new house?

Robin I am glad you are all feeling much better. My cousin was so allergic to cats and horses but he was able to get some shots and takes lots of claratin as his wife had horses and he had to find someway to get over his very bad reactions after being near one. I'll have to ask him what he took and how long it took. If you get the dog you will have to post some pictures.

We have had our pekanese cross Sunshine for 15 years. She was my wedding present and what a good dog she has been. She is deaf now and looks like she is developing arthritis in her left hind leg. But she is still spunky and she is now the other mother to our little guy and protector to the other two.

Don't we all feel like running away with the circus sometimes? I could just imagine me as a trapeze artist in the tight little leotard looking like a real tard. :D Now that thought will give me enough of a giggle to get through the rest of my day.

Talk to you later
Kathy

Hey girls! IT'S FRIDAY!!!!

What a long week it has been.
So how is everybody? As for me, I am not sure. My son got up at 4:30 this morning with severe abdominal pain and vomiting that has resolved for now. I was just about to take him to the E.R. to be checked for appendicitis. I am not sure what it was, but I have never seen him in so much pain. He was begging me to help him. We will see what happens today.

Well, I gotta run. I will try to check back tonite. Have a great TGIF!

Hey girls!

How is everyone?

Kim, I know you can't wait for the treadmill to be fixed. What kind of pup are you looking at? That is so exciting. I hope the dog you already have loves it, whatever it is. We bought 2 more horses today and are hopefully out of the horse buying business. I think they are throwing in a bloodhound puppy, too. I am not sure we can afford to feed all these critters!!!

I ended up taking ds to the ER yesterday morning for iv therapy and phenergan. Doc said probably just has a bug. Another one???

Well, I gotta run. Talk to ya later!

Congrats Kim on the new addition! I know he is adorable! What a cute name, too. Did DH not want you to get him or is he just having PMS (pissy male syndrome)? I hope he overs it soon.

We have a 3 acre pasture here at home. We live on a dirt road that goes for miles and miles and will just get out a take family rides and enjoy the outdoors. That is the plan anyway. I hope when we get all the horses home, they don't act like idiots. I like very sweet and calm if I or my kids are going to be on them. I guess it is a shot at togetherness.

I would rather croak than have to cook for my MIL. She is such a good cook and so critical of everyone else"s. I had to go down to her house in Florida today to get a hay rack and a watering trough. Of course DH did not go(he was conveniently on call).

Kathy, how are you today? Great I hope. Well, I gotta run. Still have a lot of work to do around here!

happy heart 11-10-2003 09:39 PM

Hey girls! How are you?

How is the new "baby" Kim? A sweetie, I am sure.

Kathy, where are you today?

I am having another busy week. Getting 2 horses delivered tomorrow, need to call and check on my van (it is in the shop about an hour from here), DD has appt with the allergist Wednesday, riding lessons Sunday.......and somehow manage to catch up on work, too. DH and kids are off tomorrow for Veteran's Day. Not poor old me, though. I never get time off unless one of the kids are sick....and I'd rather be at work than have that!!!

Well, I gotta run. Hope to hear from ya'll soon.

Hey Ladies.

How is everyone doing?

Kim that is great about the puppy. I bet the kids just love him. Is hubby maybe comming down with something? Is it tommorrow that your treadmill is getting fixed?I got all the clothes off mine and will bring it up tommorrow so i can start using it. I am on a mission to try and lose 7 pounds this week. I am determined.
Or im just blowing :bubbles: some hot air because maybe it is not an achievable goal! :?:

Robin that is great about the horses. That should be a little bit of stress taken off your shoulders. And that would be great togetherness time for the family. Did your husband by a walking horse? Is that the Tennessee walking horse? I hope not to much is wrong with your van. Is everyone in the house feeling better? I sure hope so. I posted some pictures of our baby no name on the thread Jolly's motivational challenge if you would like to maybe take a look and maybe come up with a name for him. He is 4 months old and he is needing to be registered, we are just waiting for the papers to come in the mail.

I get the day off tommorrow, so I am hoping to get caught up on some much needed housework. So I will be thinking fond thoughts of both of you tommorrow. :grouphug:

Oh Kathy! The baby is adorable!!! I can't tell, does he really have 4 white stockings or are his legs wrapped? He really looks like a big boy instead of 4 months old. I don't know about a name....I am no good at that. The 2 horses that we brought home today are Scout (part McCurdy and part Tennessee Walker) and Fancy (actually her registered name is Nellie, but I hate it). I will be so glad when they get to know me and trust me more. The mare is very spooky right now. By the way, your daughter has the face of an angel. How old is she? She is so pretty and looks geniunely sweet. I noticed on Jolly's thread, there are a lot of horse people. How great, all of us horse lovers from across the country, all meeting here. It is like a cyber trail ride.

Kim, how is your new little one? I would love to see a picture of him, too. I love animals! I always wanted to work at a zoo when I was growing up. I still think it would be cool!
Well, did you get the treadmill fixed today? Is that what I smell burning......you are really burning some tread on it!:tread:
By the way, what are you having for Thanksgiving dinner? How many are you cooking for? I would be a nervous wreck, but I am sure you will do fine.

Well, gotta run! The eyelids are drooping.

I hope you both have a great Wednesday!

happy heart 11-14-2003 08:36 PM

Hi Ladies.

How is everyone doing? It is Friday and I have the weekend off. YAHOO. Although it will be a busy weekend for me.

I found out that the manager from another town only 25 minutes from here has transfered to another store, so I was thinking about applying for a transfer to that store. I haven't really decided what I am going to do yet.

Robin is this your first weekend with all the horses home? I guess it will be a busy one for you as well. Horses and sick kids thats alot to handle. Hope it all goes well for you.

Kim how is that new puppy doing? Did you get the treadmill fixed? Are you getting already for your company?

Have a great weekend ladies.

Kathy
