Bummer on the glasses being broken. Ugh on the 3 inches of wet snow. We dodged that in this part of Missouri, but Paragould and Jonesboro both got snow with more predicted. It's cold here today and I'm not going to get out in this wind.

______
It's been a bit drafty in the office this morning so I got up to check the window. Don't know how this happened but there is a good sized gap in the middle right corner of the window. I'll tell my sis about it later today. I don't think it will fall out or any thing just drafty. I've tried scooting it back into place but it seems warped.

Good Morning My Chick-a-dees...HAPPY, ALMOST HEALTHY, GRATEFUL and BLESSED.

The moon was so beautiful on the way to work this morning. It illuminated the sky and glowed through the low lying fluffy clouds. Only two lone starts near the moon. Such a beautiful picture and proof, to me at least, that there is a GOD and he is awesome.

Pretty boring night. Royce is sick and woke up at 3:30 this morning with 102.6 temperature. Guess he is next in line for this garbage. Definitely need to move to a warmer climate. HAPPY, we need to move the commune to a warmer climate. Just scoop up the entire thing and land it somewhere warm. Suppose Jacob is next in line, he has been coughing a lot lately. I think we need to use an anticeptic bomb on the household. Good side, I am ALMOST healthy. I think I could of been a lot worse without the flu shot I got. I feel badly for Curtis, he just keeps trudging along, feeling badly. He has had to sleep without his CPAP the past two night cause he is so clogged up. So he is extra tired. Prayers please.

Today's song stuck in the head. Just like a white winged dove by Stevie Nicks. Yes, I heard it in our restroom this morning. At least I like the song and Stevie Nicks. Wish I knew more of the words cause that is all I keep hearing.

Weigh in today for my work challenge. Gaye has gained 4 lbs since first weigh in. I have lost 9. My total KETO loss is 12. Very excited. I just hope I can do good on vacation the first week of April.

CEEG...concerning your gap in the window. Stuff some cotton or an old rag in it till it gets fixed. Of course my go to is duct tape, it fixes everything.

LAURA....Wonderful the admin is doing so well. What a miracle in the world of medicine these days. Oh geez on the glasses breaking. Plus you have to wait until May for the insurance. It will go fast and hopefully you can keep wearing them with delicacy. C needs a new pair of glasses and it is on the "list" of things once the money sucker bills quit sucking the money out of the "list" section of the budget. Just have to be patient with the boot to shoe transition. Time heals all wounds. Or if you are speaking of men...Time wounds all heals. bah.

Hello to everyone. Peace out. Oh and hugs. hehe

Having a bit of a hard time here. Feet tingling like crazy. Hard to walk on them. Depressing. Tears and fears over here. Thanks to ODDU and my neighbour for intervention in the pity party. This too shall pass no doubt. Trying to sleep but that's not happening much at the moment. Ah well at least i don't have to get up to go to work. Blessings. Back later.

Sending you lot of good vibes. Sure hate that you are having to deal with this. Feel better soon.

Annie
Sorry that the boys are sick now too. You and I are on the right track with the duct tape as that is my go to fix also.I told my sis about it last night. I'm wondering if the wind didn't have something to do with this. But she wants me to go outside to check to see if some one had possibly tried to break in. I sure wouldn't want to try that as their are ever green bushes and they would scratch some one.

----
It sure has been cold the last couple of days. Had to get out and run some errands late yesterday afternoon and the wind cut right through me plus it was spiting snow. I finally got warm when I went to bed and covered up. Need to go to Walgreens to pick up my prescriptions. My doctor in Jonesboro refilled one of them a his name was on the rx!

Morning all. Downtown is a mess. We’ve gotten more lake effect snow and I guess the plows did what they could before rush hour hit, but it wasn’t enough. The streets are a mess today. Oh well, it’ll all start melting on Thursday, when we’re getting back to temps above freezing. I’m grateful that we’re not getting the snow totals that the East coast is forecast for!!

Ceejay - I hope you covered that gap in the window since it’s been so chilly lately. Maybe the window can be repaired. Um, maybe your sister or BIL (the landlords!) can check outside the window. == My old gyn was still on one of my rx’s and of course it was a PITA dealing with Express Scripts to get my other doctor’s name on it so she could be contacted to authorize a new rx. Not a fan of Express Scripts.

Annie - I enjoy being able to see the natural beauty around us. Sometimes hard to come by in our urban setting. I sure wish I could see more of the night sky. We have too much light pollution in our area. When I go on the cruise next month, I hope to see a lot of stars! == Speaking of vacation in April… are you going somewhere?? I’m sure you can keep to the KETO woe on vacay. You already have it easier since you won’t be drinking any of those sugary sweet fruity drinks. == Fingers I can get my eyeglass frame repaired. I don’t want to be constantly aware that the earpiece could fall off, and I don’t want to have to tape it, LOLOL. Reminds me, need to phone a nearby vision shop to see if they do it. If it comes down to doing a DIY repair, I think I can use some glue… == Ugh, the whole family is now sick??? It does sound like an excellent idea to wipe down every phone, every door, drawer, cabinet and purse handle, every knob with some disinfectant. Sure don’t need anyone re-catching it!!

Oh Shad, it’s so sucky that you have tingling in your feet. What do your doctors say about that – is it a common aftereffect of the chemo? Anything to be done other than wait for it to stop?? I’m glad ODDU and your neighbor are there for you.

Happy and Susie – come up for air!! Hi Dee – hope you’re feeling better – any more conclusions about the metal in your jewelry causing your numbness?

==

Nothing much to report for me. We finally had our taco night last night. Yum. If the chicken I bought gets marinated today, maybe we’ll cook it on our Griddler.

Would you believe I’ve never gotten around to buying a pair of decent reading glasses? Just the pair from the dollar store. Walgreens has a buy one, get one free sale this week, but I didn’t expect a single pair of drugstore readers to cost $27. Okay, that would be 2 pair for that price, and it’s alright. But I think I’ll hit up Costco because I saw on their site that they have 3 packs of readers for $19.

That’s it for me, so I’m off to post. Have a great day.

Good morning ladies,

Crazy crazy days. Yesterday I spent all morning trying to figure out what a button on the shifter on the truck was for. FINALLY found it after about a two and a half hour search - it's for the lane departure (veering) which was what I thought but wasn't sure if it was that or for the off road thing. Then we looked for some sort of bins for putting in the back of the truck for groceries so that the bags don't roll all over the back of the truck bed. And mud flaps. And planter box inserts so DH can plan out his deck bench with side planters he wants to build. I blew away the entire morning until 2pm just on the computer!!! Then we had to go into town for some stuff. My whole day was one big running behind. Then I came home and made a batch of spaghetti sauce to use up the fresh Italian Sausage I got from the sausage store the other day. Boy that came out good. As a base I used some fresh tomatoes I cut and roasted with garlic and onions and then froze 2 years ago. I think it made a difference as even DH said the sauce was great.

Today is another day on the run. I had a bunch of emails to answer for the shoe drive fundraiser. Now I have to get ready as DH needs to take the truck in for the clear coating and wants to drop it off early before my thrift shop shift. I also have to stop at the radio station and pay for and pick up my certificates from the auction items I purchased on Saturday. Always on the run it seems

Laura - yikes on the snow - I think you got more than my sister or Mom did. But you've been lucky this year - winter without snow. Still you forget what a hassle it is. Be careful with your foot! SO glad your admin is doing well.

Ceejay - stay warm!!!

Shaddie my friend I sincerely wish I could be there to comfort you and help pass the time. Remember your poor body is being lambasted by very harsh chemicals. It WILL pass but this must be very VERY difficult for someone who is used to flying on her broom and sweeping away the problems. Please be gentle with yourself and patient. We are pulling for you!!!

Anne - sorry, I have invested far too much in the commune to relocate. And you would not like year round living down south anyway, I promise you. We will have to relocate to Shad's place if we are moving at all.

Shoot - DH is back already. I have to get ready or I'll lose my ride today. Later chicks.

Happy Hump Day said Camel Joe. Blessed, 98% Healthy, Grateful, and so very BLESSED!

What a whirl wind of an evening. So Royce had a 102.6 temp on Monday night. 100.6 Tuesday morning (children's ibuprofen kicked in). Sam thought maybe he should go to the doc so of course by the time she got him there at 11:30 am...no fever. Ears clear, throat clear and his chest sounded clear. Probably viral doc said. Ok well in my mind whenever there is fever there is infection. At the dinner table he threw up his couple of bites he ate. Great. We had to clean that up, same gave him a quick bath. By the time 8 pm rolled around his fever was 102.8. Ibuprofen. The night was awful. For some reason he kept coming to me all night long. Finally got him completely settled at 3:30 am. Poor little guy. Then this morning I went to put the washer clothes into the dryer so I could hang them before I left work and either C or I, probably me, left a tissue in a pocket. I had to pick each piece out and shake it before putting it in the dryer. Time consuming when I didn't have the time to spare. Got up late at 5:50, therefore was late to work by about half hour. (My boss is in Arizona which is now 3 hours behind us). <---oh yeah! He doesn't really care anyway. That was my evening and morning. Plus I had to fix my bullet proof coffee before I left the house. Then Sam forgot to move her car out of the drive (only on Tuesdays) cause Wednesday is Cs late morning (supposed to be his day off but his route is so big now he cannot) and usually I just go around her car on the box truck side of drive out of the garage. Had to move her car. Lots of obstacles this morning but made it to work safely.

SOOOooooooooooo the bullet proof coffee. I made BPT (bullet proof tea) this morning for a co-worker that wanted to try it. (another delay getting here on time, but I promised I would bring it) She doesn't like coffee. Now I am not a tea drinker but it wasn't bad. She said it wasn't bad either and drinkable. She did add a bit of sweetner, which is ok now and then. I did use a family size black tea bag to make sure the tea flavor came through over the coconut oil, butter and heavy whipping cream. I think I have a new victim getting ready to try KETO way of eating. lol.

Ugly report day and that is all I am going to say about that. Bleh.

HAPPY...Hahaha on finding out what all the new truck does and all the buttons. I still don't know and have not researched all the buttons on my Highlander. I have owned it for just over a year now. Guess I should invest some time on that. I will probably have to label them. Anyone with a label maker? haha. Duct tape. I am ok with moving the commune down under. SHAD, get ready, you are up sister! I love that DH is your "uber" driver. I can't stand to just ride so would go nuts. (nuttier) MMM your spaghetti sauce sounds really yummy and I could eat it, just not the noodles. Spaghetti squash or frankly I would love eating by the spoonfuls, I love sauce.

LAURA...Snow mid-march. Bleh. Thank God all our snow predictions have been either north or south of Indy. Just a dusting here. I can take that but don't like the 22 degrees this morning. Sky was clear and the moon was bright this morning. I have to be careful cause sometimes I get to staring at the moon while trying to drive. Mesmerizing. Oh vacation, all ya'll. We are going to Gulf Shores, Alabama the first week of April Leaving on the 1st back on the 8th. We counted our change from the change jar and it was over a grand. The condo is paid for once we get there. It was 750.00 for the week. Ocean view side. Sleeps 6, we will have 5 and two of those are littles. Right on the beach. Hilton Garden Inn, Orange Beach, Alabama if you want to google it. Rest, relaxation, iced tea by the pool/beach. I am so ready to do a bunch of nothing. The temps that time of year are 75-80, perfect. If mother nature doesn't get real funny. She has been freakin hilarious lately. Your glasses-I superglued with Gorilla glue one of my stems on my readers. Of course the glass stem has to stay extended all of the time since it won't now bend. I leave those on my desk so I don't have to carry them around folded. MMM taco night! Gotta love that, just can't eat the shells, chips, rice and beans. But can have everything else including sour cream, gauc, salsa and all the fixings that go into a taco. OK by me.

SHADDIE...hope you are feeling better today/night. My heart is with you and only wish I could be there to take care of you. That is what I do best. That and rubbing Vicks on other's chests. I am sure ODDU could bathe you with kisses, haha Hugs my sister.

CEEG...yep this cold weather, just snuggle down and keep warm.

Got to get busy. Love, Hugs and Prayers All.

Morning all. Sunny but chilly here today. The sidewalks are clear, but there’s still a lot of slush in the street by the curbs – messy. It’ll warm up tomorrow and melt it. Or the rain and even warmer temps we’re forecast for on Friday will take care of it.

Happy – Oh the joys of getting to know all the features of a new vehicle (and appliances, tools, and gadgets!). BF and I still need to look up the child lock feature of our suv because it appears to be activated. We’ve only had it going on three years… == Yum, that spaghetti sauce sounds tasty!!

Annie – Poor little R. I hope he feels better soon. And I suppose you feel like you’ve already lived an entire day before you even got to work this morning! Good your boss isn’t physically in your office, and it’s nice that you can flex your work hours as needed. Anyway, I’m thinking you’ll be ready for bedtime tonight! == Keto tea, huh? I might just have to try that sometime, since I’m curious how such a rich beverage would taste. Of course, I even think a chai latte with whole milk is rich, lol. I bet making it with a spicy chai tea bag would be delish… == Oh, I do have a label maker you can borrow. Very handy for the home office, and for labeling containers – spices, etc. == Your vacation sounds wonderful, ocean view and – speaking of mesmerizing – the ocean sounds. Ahhh.

Hellos to the rest of you!! Have a great day.

==

BF picked me up from the train after work and we went to Costco to buy my readers. Used the annual reward certificate to pay for them, and then got the rest back in cash.

Bf made the meatloaf yesterday. I’d bought separate packages of ground beef and ground pork, both about 1.5 pounds. He used the entire amount and baked it in a 9x13 pan – it looked like a sheet cake, lol. (I'd have made a loaf pan size one, and frozen the rest, but whatever.) It was still baking when we got home and it smelled sooo delicious, and it was very tasty – and I’m not usually a meatloaf person. Anyway, plenty of leftovers and we might be giving a bit to our moms.

I have a conference today starting at lunchtime and ending around 5. Just across the street, so very convenient for me. After that I’ll take a train to meet bf near the funeral home where the wake for our friend is being held tonight.

That’s about it for me, so I’ll get this posted.

Hi kiddos,

It's bright and sunny out there - still cold but I woke up with a headache and even my wrists are hurting so I think we have some weather coming in. They talked about a warm up tomorrow night but that was rain at first changing to ice later so a dangerously sloppy mess Thursday into Friday. I hope it's after bingo gets done with. Just looked it up and yes it is - starts about 2am so I'll be fast asleep by then. Last night I was getting ready to go to bed and I peeked in and Meadow was curled up in the covers where I had turned down my side of the bed. I nudged her and she squeeked, got up and reluctantly jumped down and walked over to her blanket/bed on the floor by the armoire. I went into the bathroom to wash up and when I came out, the little punk had crawled right back into the same spot on the bed! So I took my blanket and went on the recliner. When I woke up around 4am, she had gone back down on her own bed so I finished the night on my bed. I made some baked honey mustard chicken thighs last night with a baked potato. DH really liked it. I LOVED the roasted brussel sprouts I made for me. Drizzled a bit of balsamic on them when done roasting. I could have made a meal of just them. And a few leaves fell off on their own, those crisped up like chips. Yum. I have to confess that I have gained back about 7 pounds from my lowest point last fall. Too much eating out and for some weird reason I have been craving, CRAVING soda. Each night I chastise myself and each morning I resolve to do better and I just seem to lose it during the day. I am embarrased. I have figured though that I tend to get overwhelmed trying to do a whole lot all at once. It works out better for me if I continue to make small changes which is what I'm going back to. I went to go pick up the auction items I purchased from the radio station yesterday. There was a lady in there ahead of me who had bulk bought a bunch of items - almost $1,000 worth and they had messed up part of her order. I waited almost 20 minutes after I walked in and they had been working on her for a while before I came in. DH was waiting in the truck and I'm surprised he didn't come in looking for me. When she got done and left, I commented to the station manager that I thought they should put a limit on the hotline items that you can buy outright (discounted local business certificates like garden centers, restaurants, etc). They have one phone number for the auction, another for the hotline. I tried for 2 hours straight calling literally every minute to purchase hotline items. By the time I got in most of the stuff I wanted was already purchased. The lady ahead of me had bought 6 of the 10 available certificates for a popular garden center. I said that's not really very fair if we can't get through on the phone and someone is allowed to swoop up a bunch of stuff all at once. Perhaps put in a second hotline number but I still prefer a limit of 2 certificates per call. The station manager was very nice, said they are trying to work out the kinks. Then I went to the thrift shop where it was on the quiet side but we had a decent take for a mid week day. The ladies have been busy culling some old odds and ends and hanging all the linens nicely. I mentioned and others also noticed since they hung the linens that more people seemed to be shopping them. The store looks really nice - some of the staff was very resistant to the changes but it looks so much better and customers have commented on how organized and neat the store looks. Someone donated some really old German beer steins and I'm trying to get an idea of what to price them at. DH is sitting upstairs reloading his iPOD - he has all blues music on it (which I can barely tolerate) and I said if he keeps playing blues I'm going to bring Barry Manilow CDs into the car and play them constantly. So he's putting more songs on it that we both will listen to. He's playing Beatles cds now and is upstairs singing along with them. It sounds funny. It's horrifying to realize that those songs are 52 - 54 years old. How did THAT happen????

Laura - that's pretty funny that you still haven't figured out the child lock feature and it's been 3 years that you have the vehicle. I will just remember not to get in the back seat of your car Yum on the meatloaf - I love meatloaf. Can't make it myself - never comes out quite as good as I'd like. So I always eat everyone else's! Of course it was good because you had such a big pan of it. Regarding your comment on the readers I have found that the more expensive Foster Grants at Walgreens hold up much better and work better too than the dollar store glasses. I prefer them when I have to wear them longer - like at the computer. I keep the dollar store ones in places like the basement where I need a quick glance to read a label or something. How is your foot feeling?

Anne - isn't it the case that the more we are behind the more obstacles the universe throws in our way? I found that it's easier to pick out the kleenex bits from the dryer than it is to pick out the wet bits from the washer. They shake out pretty easy but make a mess on the floor. Poor Royce. What is it with little kids and puking? I hope it passes quickly. Poor C too - does this mean he works 7 days a week non stop? That's just too hard on the body. Has he gotten better with eating and less tummy issues? Um bullet proof tea. I can't fathom that - maybe because unlike coffee I do drink tea black. But maybe like Laura said it might work with Chai. I have a label maker you can use too but then you'd label over the touch screen on your car effectively cancelling out the features There sure is aLOT going on with all those computerized features. I tried reading the book but eyes glazed over. Are you going to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach this year? I was confused when you said ocean side room because Gulf Shores is on the gulf side. We went there once - have a wonderful time. We went off season and it was not as crowded - VERY relaxing and not a ton of traffic. Really happy that you were able to collect enough change to pay for the vacation - shows that those things add up over time. You all could use some time away - that the weather holds up for you.

to Shad - hope you are having a better day today.

to Ceejay and Susie and Dee.

I have an hour before I have to head off to yoga so I'd better look for something to eat. Have a good day everyone.

Hi Everyone. I survived my VP being here. I love working with her, she is so interactive with me.

It is a whirlwind when she is here because she has so many meetings. I sat in the Executive Suites for 5 of the 8 days she was here. It is quiet there but very nice.

My VP wasn't feeling well, she had a cold and today, she did her AM meetings and I cancelled her 1:1's this afternoon so she could go back to the hotel and hopefully one of those Little Clinics. She was feeling really rough and she has a long flight back to Singapore tomorrow.

I work from home tomorrow and I took Friday off My DH is taking a vacation day to watch all the March Madness games and I will piddle around the house. I want to take out the bulky sweaters and all the pants that do not fit me anymore and put them away. If the pants are still big in the fall (they better be!) then I will take them to Goodwill.

Annie: down 12 lbs..that is awesome!

Laura: I hope you are able to limp through with your glasses, readers and contacts until May.

Ceejay: Hopefully you have that window situation figured out or get a piece of cardboard and block that air until it can be looked at properly and fixed.

Shad: I'm praying that you will feel better very soon.

Happy: That soda craving is hard to overcome but you can do it. You will feel much better after 3 days.

Dee: Please let us know how you are doing.

I am heading to bed. I will be back daily going forward. I hate being behind with the posts. I did read all of them when I worked out on the bike tonight for 45 min.

TOPS weigh-in tomorrow. I think I'll be down between 1-2 lbs. I struggled with my workouts this week. I missed two of them. I was just really tired and the crazy weather had my fibro flared up a lot. I had to be more gentle in my workouts. I used the bike a lot more than the treadmill this week.

Great song in the restroom this morning! I'm walking on sunshine, whoa oh! and it feels so good!

HAPPY, HEALTHY 99%, GRATEFUL, BLESSED!

WELLllllllllllllllllllllllllll. Sam broke up with Dan again. Hopefully it sticks. He is just a psycho. I think she is finally seeing the full picture. Pray pray pray this is the end. THere is so much more to all of this that I have not gotten into but I would have to write a book.

I made cheeseburgers, broccoli cheddar rice and salad for the clan. I made KETO chili for me and have enough for 4 lunches. It is so tasty. Just slightly spicy so I think HAPPY could even eat it.

Smash O Gram today at 2:30. I will leave here at 1:50 and not return. Still won't make it home till about 3:30 tho. Not really dreading it just don't want to take the time to do it. With momma having breast cancer and a masectomy I shall not delay my yearly mammo any longer.

After dinner Royce's temp spiked to 103.6. Off to ER we went. Still just viral was the verdict. Crap. Now Jacob woke up with 101.6 temp this morning. I just hope the next two weeks they get healthy before April 1 vacation. Pray, pray, pray. At least me and Sam are feeling much better and almost back to normal. C is fighting it with all his might. Sleeping more, sudafed, nose spray and ibuprofen. Still cannot wear his CPAP at night due to his head being stopped. It would smother him at this point. Yeee.

I GOT A RAISE! It will be on next week's check. ANNNNDDDDdddd it was the max. 4%. Guess the reviews don't mean a dang thing. Especially since the raises are determined in December/January and the reviews are Feb/March time frames. Doesn't mean a lot on the check, but I am grateful for the increase. Yeah!

HOA (Home Owner's Association) meeting tonight. The position of President it open. Thank God cause the one we have now is a butt. However, he has done a halfway decent job, it is volunteer and time consuming. I would not want to do it and NO I am not up for the position. But I am planning on going to the meeting. Unless the babes need their Nanna.

SUSIE...glad you made it through VP week. Hope you don't get what she was spreading. Did you mention any of the comments for the butt to her? Or just keeping a long and under your hat? Goodluck at TOPS tonight. Do check in and tell us the great news. You are rocking this sister. How much are you wanting to lose altogether?

HAPPY...not so sure I would give my bed up for my critter. You are a better critter mommie than I am sister. Of course Sassy sees us coming and runs for the hills till we get settled then plops up in the curl of our bodies, usually butt level. Soda-once you completely quit drinking it you will quit craving it after a while. Mind over matter and all in what you want to achieve. Ha, listen to me, bah. Nice that you cabbaged onto some great stuff from the radio station. I agree there should be a limit. Google the German beer steins some are worth some $$. Buy them for 5 bucks and ebay them for 500. lol. YES...C works 7 days a week. Sunday and Wednesday are the only two days he is supposed to have off however his route has grown so much and has to keep up on it. He misses church on most Sundays. We let him sleep in on those two days as he ONLY puts in about 7 hours on those days. Other days probably 9-12 hours a day. Poor guy. He so needs this vacation. We are going to Orange beach on the gulf shores.

LAURA...good score on the readers plus cash back. Now that is my kind of deal. Mmmm BFs meatloaf sounds yummy. I am a huge meatloaf fan. The KETO meatloaf is not bad either. How was the conference? I am just not cut out for meetings. I tend to get bored. Especially if it is a long meeting and sitting the entire time. My heiney can't take it.

SHADDIE...hugs and feel better my sister friend.

Hello to CEEG!

Hi DEE, hope all is well with you.

Hugs all.

Good morning chickie babies,

Cold (19 degrees) this morning but supposed to get sunny and warm up to the mid 40's. DH wants to go for a drive and honestly, I'd rather just stay home but while he said he'd go by himself, he said he'd rather I went with him. Guilts me just like my momma... So another day of not getting something done as we will no doubt be gone all day and then I have bingo tonight. I actually LIKE my bingo job. It's pretty brainless, not a lot of pressure (just to make sure the money I take in balances correctly) and the people are nice and now that I get to know them better we joke around alot. Tomorrow in the wee hours there is a chance of icy rain, I hope that does not come to pass. Thank you for your comments about the soda - I have quit it in the past and for me, the cravings do not go away after 3 days. I always knew giving this up would be just like giving up cigarettes and honestly, I was quit for 4 years straight - 4 YEARS before I actually believed I could overcome the nicodemon. I expect a similar fight with the Coca Cola dragon. Last night I did a shorter (20 minute) routine on the NuStep as I had done 90 minutes of yoga mid day. I did a shorter, but more intense workout. Then I went into the hot tub. Got out, watched some recorded tv programs - one of which was Tommy James (and the Shondells) on PBS with a special fund raiser show featuring performances on tape of songs from groups 1967 to 1969. I was really reminiscing and longing for my younger days. I did so much like the music then too. Wish I had my young body back but I'd have to trade arthritis, varicose veins and gray hair for pimples, menstrual cramps and tender boobs so it's not really much of a trade off, is it? But we all looked better in our 20's.

Smash O Gram? Smash O Gram Smash O Gram OH SMASH O GRAM Anne you are too funny. I doubt I will ever call it a mammogram again. I hope it's not too smashy. on getting a top raise percentage. Maybe departing boss had something to do with that. Take what you can get and run girl. Here's to you new boss Better that Sam broke up with Dan BEFORE they decided on a house together. Relationships are so complicated now a days - I'm glad I don't have to be out there fishing. Boo on the creeping crud at the house - I hope it all clears up before vacation. Those viral things are tricky to kill down. Keto chili - no beans? I could do that especially if I can add fresh chopped tomatoes and a bit of lite sour cream to tone down the heat. Yum. Poor C is just working his tail off. That has GOT to take a toll on the body as time goes on. Just like delivering packages. Ouch poor guy. As for the Homeowners Association board - yes, a totally thankless job right up there with being a Help Desk Manager - and I've done both. You can NEVER satisfy people. Or get enough people to help you. No thanks.

It looks like we will both be away at the same time. I am riding with a friend to Chicago the first week in April. But it's a wierd situation and I can't really make any plans because it might be a 5 day trip or a 2 day trip R is planning a road trip with her DIL to go see the ocean. Their men don't want to go so it's a girls road trip. For some reason they are chosing to take their dogs with them. So R is going down to introduce her dog to DIL's dog to see if they get along - which is smart before you are about to emBARK (no pun intented ) on a long road trip. So... if the dogs get along, it will be a 5 day trip BUT if they don't like each other, we might be heading back the next day. I am not keen on riding all the way to Chicago with a basset hound but B is a loveable dog I just hope he will not think he's riding shotgun with me all the way. I will have to bring a plastic bag with a change of clothes so that I don't get my allergic sister all wheezy when she comes to get me. It's kind of wierd not being able to make any plans but at least I will get to spend time with Mom before Easter.

Susie - glad you survived the VP and I hope you don't pick up any foreign virus. That has to be MISERABLE to have to fly continental with a cold. Poor lady. As for the workouts, there is one thing to skip it because you just don't feel like it and other times you will be diverted because of crazy busy life. You can always toggle the food when you can't get the exercise in and vicea versa. As long as you are keeping an eye on things, that's all that matters. Good luck with weigh in.

DH wants to leave by 10 and I need a shower so I'll sign off for now and pick back up maybe later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Hellos to everyone

Morning all. Happy Thursday.

Happy – I don’t think I’d be letting the cat take over the bed if I really wanted to sleep in it, lol. Hey maybe she just likes to keep it warm for you?? What a sweet kitty. == The honey mustard chicken sounds wonderful, and I don’t even like mustard! == I’m sorry to hear you’re having a hard time giving up the soda. Keep at it, baby steps. == I agree, there should be a limit to the auction item purchases in bulk. And they should staff up for the incoming phone calls! == How accommodating it is for DH to load up music you both like/tolerate. == Re the child lock…yeh, I guess we need to bring the user manual for the suv into the house and look it over a bit more. == The dollar store readers weren’t a permanent solution for me, just a temporary fill-in until I bought some from elsewhere that I assume are higher quality. But if I manage to lose or destroy the 3 pairs from Costco, I might go back to the dollar store ones just to not be throwing money out the window. Kind of like the earbuds thing – they kept being destroyed or failed and I wouldn’t spend a lot of money on them. That said, I’ve been using my wireless ones and so far, so good. But not getting heavy use because I’ve only really been wearing them on the train part of my commute since I got them. == My foot is doing alright. I’ve been wearing real shoes for the better part of two days. Some twinges of pain here and there, and I’m being cautious, but It’s doing okay. I’ve had some minor soreness in my right calf because it hasn’t been used much the past 6 weeks. == LOL, you and R and the basset hound in the car. I hope you have a good trip, and I hope the doggies get along so R and her friend can do the drive with doggies and so you can have a longer visit with your mom! Remember, I’m always willing to meet in the Oakbrook area if you can fit it into your visit…

Susie – Hope you don’t catch the VP’s cold. Have a lovely quiet work at home day today, and good luck with the TOPS WI tonight. Heck, you don’t need luck, you’re just getting it done!! Yeah!! == Our office is having a little March Madness viewing party this afternoon. I’m not much of a b-ball fan, but I I’ll probably keep tabs on how Northwestern U does – it’s been a big deal around here that they made it to the tourney. Enjoy your day off tomorrow!!!

Annie – I think we might have different taste in music, but that’s what makes life interesting. == If Sam’s ex-bf is a psychopath, then I’m glad she broke up with him and hope she has the "courage of her convictions" to make it stick. == Glad you’re getting that mammo (aka smasho, haha) over and done with!! – Awww, both g’babes sick as dogs. Poor things. I hope they feel better soon, and especially before your vacation!!! I take it you’re driving down??? == Wow, poor C working 7 days a week. At what point does his route get split into two separate routes? Does he own the route, or is it assigned? Can he hire on another person to handle part of the route?? I hope he can get back to his CPAP soon, I’m sure he sleeps better with it and it will make you sleep better too! == BIG congrats on the raise!!! You deserve it. == The conference was alright. Only a half day, thank goodness. Sat behind the useless department member (she loves these events because she gets to socialize). And I sat next to the boss. Who was checking his phone a lot during the presentations. Whatever.

Hellos to the rest of you.

Met bf near the train that was not too far of a drive to the funeral home. Sad evening, but we also shared some good memories of our friend T and one couple is planning a "T Day" to get everybody together, since T was, in many cases, the one connection between the various groups of friends.

Tonight I should do a load of laundry, otherwise I just want to chill. Not literally though.
