Morning all.

Annie – A loss is a loss, so good for you. Pick up 10 pounds of something and you know that’s a lot of weight to have lost!! :cheer: Right now while I’m so sedentary, I’m happy to not have gained, and to even have lost a pound or two. Never mind that I’ve probably lost muscle mass weight… == Gonna have to look up pecan fat bombs – I just LOVE pecans. Hope that gets your fat intake up to where you want it to be for this woe. == LOL re your comment to Happy about having enough bears around without decorating with them. :D == Yeh, I’ll start getting into a regular shoe around the house next week to see how it feels. == Get that mammo scheduled woman!!

Ceejay – Are you saying you like the other route between home and Branson, but only for going home, not going to Branson? Huh. == Hope you like the new bedroom/arrangement. == How nice you’ll play piano at the church service. You sound like a happy camper in this new life. :)

Happy – I’m glad the yoga went well and raised some cash and donations for the shelter. == Wow, I’d definitely like a taco class!! Those fillings sound tasty. We’re very traditional with ours – seasoned ground beef for the crispy tacos, seasoned shredded chicken and black beans for the soft tacos. Yum, we’re overdue for them!! This week for sure. == Yay for the NuStep arriving, and good job on your first session. Hope neither of you overdid it. Yeh, I’d be so ticked about the grape juice spilled on it. Not even sure why that would happen. DH might need to up the intensity of his workout if he’s sipping juice while exercising, LOL. Your Italian dinner sounded delish. == How’s the no-coke thing going? == The birdbath sounds cute… will you put water in it? You’ll have some maintenance there if you want to avoid a breeding ground for the mosquitos… The hammock will be wonderful. We don’t use ours enough!! The frame is always pushed off to the side from when the grass is mowed. == Hope you enjoy the potluck today – what did you end up making? == Thankfully the garage door still went up and down so we could get the SUV out that morning, then we left it out on the driveway until the repair guy fixed it.

Hellos to Susie and Shad, and Dee if you’re lurking!
==
Saturday I had my hair appointment. Late Saturday evening we had dinner with my mom at the restaurant in her community. It was fine, and she spent her monthly food $$. Afterwards we went back to her unit for a bit and we saw her new microwave and toaster oven (smaller sizes). She also has a new tv, but it’s not set up yet. So the place is coming along.

Sunday I did my usual tea, newspaper, puttering thing, and then I began my taxes. Well, first I sorted through a bunch of paperwork in the home office and in the mail basket, and then I began the taxes. I was missing one document, so that’s when I stopped. I printed that out this morning at work with the right link to the site, so I’ll be able to finish up this week.

Both bf and I worked on our mail baskets. Bf’s is now completely empty – amazing. No more risk of a mail-slide, LOL. Mine still has a good amount in it because it has “to read” items in it – hand me down magazines, AAA magazines, village & library newsletters, etc. I’m inspired by bf to get my basket completely empty sometime soon!! What’s more likely is me going through the magazines and tearing out the articles of interest…

That’s about it for me. TTFN.

P.S. Just got a call re the biopsy - result was negative, benign tissue. Glad that's over, though they will be back in touch later with the recommended follow-up and a formal report. Hopefully I can just proceed with an annual mammo.

happy2bme 03-06-2017 01:36 PM

Good giggly wiggly morning chickies,

It's rainy out there - more rain yet to come, maybe some bad thunderstorms this evening when I have to go out and carry a big pot of homemade something or other (haven't decided yet) to the pot luck tonight. There is standing water all over the yard because the ground is still frozen enough not to absorb it. This also means I have to really limit laundry to no more than 2 loads a day so as not to overload the septic system. The joys of rural living. That and our archaic land line telephone service. LOL.

Still happy, ouchy healthy, grateful and blessed.

I decided to skip and maybe bug out of Tai Chi for the remaining weeks. I am in alot of pain right now - back and knees and I think maybe I just need to take a week's rest to let things ease up instead of sieze up. I can do some gentle Tai Chi using the CD I have as a guide if needed. I moved my computer to the kitchen counter because I thought the counter stools might be better for sitting than my desk chair. A little better but not much difference. I must have 100 cooking magazines here and I am still brain paralyzed about what to bring tonight. I also really don't want to leave the house to go get groceries!

We went to the Steakhouse last night for dinner. They had the restaurant part closed and were only serving in the bar area. Trying to get something decent to eat here on a Sunday is like almost impossible. Go to the bar or Perkins or McD's. We both ordered the exact same meal - a salad with greens, cranberries, walnuts and a white balsamic dressing. Tenderloin steak with a blue cheese sauce with a baked potato. DH got a bigger cut of tenderloin, I got a small 6 oz cut that was probably smaller than 6 ounces but that was ok except it was rather tough and dry even though it was cooked to a perfect medium with a pink interior. DH and I swapped pieces from each other's plate and he agreed with me. I rarely complain but when the waitress asked I came out and told her it was tough. She was the only one working that night so we were almost done with our meal by the time she came to check on us. Otherwise our regular waitress when we go there would have gotten another piece of meat for us. I only said something because this was dry like strip steak can be and this was supposed to be filet mignon which is naturally tender. She came back after 20 minutes and apologized and said they'd offer us a free drink or dessert - neither of us were interested. Then we looked at a menu they had for ice cream drinks. We ordered a chocolate cherry drink with 2 straws. It was just the right amount for a taste for dessert. The funny thing was is that they made enough for THREE drinks (the glasses they use are very small). So instead of giving us an extra drink, they just tossed the rest into the sink! That's pretty wasteful but we didn't need the extra calories anyway so just as well. It was still a decent dinner and I didn't have to cook so I was happy.

Annie - :cp: :yay: for you on the 10 pounds down. See, it seemed a bit bleak when you first got into the challenge with your work friend - but you just needed the right program to get you going. And it seems like you found something that works well for you and the family which is always a plus. Have you ever made cauliflower rice? I was looking at a cooking show this weekend and I might give that a try. DH would never eat it - he will never let me forget how I "tricked" him into trying mock mashed potatoes which I thought were pretty darned good. Anyway... Yes, I can believe that a lack of protein or fat might stall your weight loss efforts. It's hard for the brain to accept that good fats (avocado, nuts, salmon, omega 3 stuff) is actually good for you. Wow 4 years already for you and C? Time is flying - I remember when the babies were born and you were planning your wedding. Seems like just a year or two ago.

Ceejay - why didn't you like the new route to Branson? Too crowded? Too long? That's really nice that you offered to play the piano at church service. One of our friends - her husband always wanted to play guitar and she encouraged him to join the church group. He did and a bunch of them decided to start playing outside of just church services. They play old time rock and roll classics - 50s and 60s music and are a very popular band in town at many events. There are 4 women singers and about 7 people in the band and they have gobs of fun. This can be another creative outlet for you. I see that you are also managing to fill your retirement days with things to do - isn't it great and it beats working!

Hello to the rest of you. I'm sure by now Laura has checked back in. I really need to make a decision about the food and go to the store and get it or I'm not going to have enough time to prepare everything.

I'll try and check back in tomorrow. It's going to be a long day and the event probably won't end until 9 so it will be a long evening too. See yah!

ceejay52 03-06-2017 06:23 PM

My trip to Branson last week was a bit daunting in that I had no idea where I was going. Didn't check out the gps close enough. I found a better way back. I'm trying to find a way to stay off the James River freeway exit to get on Interstate 65. James River exit to 65 is a bit scary for me, to much traffic.

We're supposed to be in for some strong storms this afternoon and tonight.

More later. I've been sleepy today for some unknown reason.

ceejay52 03-06-2017 08:54 PM

The page froze when I got ready to post ugh.

Laura
Thankful that the biopsy cam back negative. Yeah for bf getting his basket completely cleaned. You will too.

Happy
I had asked my 6 year old niece to give me some of her fearlessness on singing in public. She said how do I do that. Of course their isn't a way so I'm just putting on my "big girl panties" and doing it. She follows her dad who sings on stage and plays guitar on stage and she wants to do most every thing her dad does.

Annie
Congrats on the 10 pound lost.

--------
Went to the gym late this morning did 30 minutes on the bike and did 4 weight machines.

miniDoodles 03-07-2017 06:44 AM

Good morning sisters :smug: I've missed each of you the last 6 months  Sweet Susie text me last week & said I was welcome to come back to you'all  I was completely off-line those months from my fingers numbing, but using my keyboard today is like getting back on my bike. We had a much needed wonderful vacation in Florida last week. I'm canceling a doctor appt for Wed. because my numbness in my face & hands is much less now, I didn't wear any jewelry/metals in Florida & now I'm wondering if my problem was caused from having allergic reactions to metals; especially from my rings because of the swelling & indentations from over a week later still being on my wedding ring finger. So the thousands of medical dollars for tests may have been wasted from being misdiagnosed. The medical debts will take us a year to pay off, but if I continue having numbness I have to see a Neurologist next month, blah & more $$ tests & if it's brain damage that's my fault from my x-husband hitting me many times. Anyway if anyone has a moment, pLease add me to your prayers that Our Lord is healing my body & my numbness & pains are healed now without going to another doctor. My colonoscopy in December showed my diverticulitis is larger & bad & the GI doctor said I need a 6" colon resection & I kept rescheduling that office call discussion with him & his nurse phoned me yesterday to see him asap so it looks like I'll be 8 ounces lighter with a short colon. My Dh had that surgery done with his cancer & he's had problems & pains for the last 11 years so I don't want it done to me.

Ceejay, pLease be safe , I saw tornadoes reported in Missouri on t.v.

Annie & Susie :bravo: on your Exciting weight losses. I'm so happy for you. I put on pounds that will make my summer clothing snug. How about sharing your thin tips with us :smug: I need to stop eating cookies & milk every night & salsa with a bag of tortillas every weekend :p

I'm sleepy again so I'll be back today to finish reading this page & say hello to our other 2 cutie-pies 'Donna & Laura'.

Hugs & my Luv to everyone

Good Morning/Evening...Happy, struggling to be HEALTHY, GRATEFUL and BLESSED...

Finally broke down and went to the doc. Sinus infections on top of the hacking at night, nose issues constantly. She said my lungs are clear. Augmentin for 7 days. We shall hope this takes care of the nastiness. That was in the AM yesterday then had a closing in Brownsburg in the PM. It was nearly 4 pm by the time I got home. Lot of driving. Thank goodness I get mileage reimbursed. Once home, I had Mississippi pot roast in the crocker. Just made mashed taters and brussel spouts. I had a few brussel sprouts and a mit of the roast then went to bed. Sam, C and the boys made manhattens, cleaned the kitchen and Sam did a load of our towels for us. I laid on the bed and watche the VOICE. Woke up a bit dizzy this morning so laid back down on the bed till 7. Didn't get into work until 8:30, only 1.5 hours later than normal, thank God for flex hours.

Not feeling personals today. DEE, welcome back, you don't need an invite just come on in!! Missed you. Hugs and prayers.

Love you!

happy2bme 03-07-2017 11:23 AM

Good morning girls,

Yesterday was a warm day with rain and when we got home at night lightning and an bit of thunder which kept me from going into the hot tub. The Humane Society event last night was nice - they shortened it up a bit, in fact it almost came to an abrupt end. Several people brought their dogs, everyone behaved. :D I went grocery shopping around 1pm yesterday and as usual got stuck in the store far longer than I should have. I went without a clear idea of what I was going to make for the pot luck. Picked up a ton of groceries and of course I was running late - got back home at 3 and the event was at 5:30 :yikes: DH's first comment as he came out to help me bring bags in was ... "why did you spend SO MUCH on groceries (he saw an alert from the credit card company) when we go out to eat all the time???". Well we go out on the weekends, during the week I still make food. I got him a bunch of snacks and breakfast things and drinks and treats and told him so. I also again stocked up on various veggies and a bit of fruit. I am going no where on this diet and eating out as much as we have is also helping the scale move in the wrong direction.

Because I was running late I decided on a "deconstructed chicken taco". Just chopped lettuce, red bell pepper, shredded Mexican cheese blend, green onions, chopped rotisserie chicken, some seasonings and topped it with a bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch Fiesta Salsa dressing. I was going to serve it with small corn tortillas but I didn't have time enough to cook them. I made a huge bowl of salad which was dumb because we have so much food at the event, you can bring a medium sized bowl / plate of anything and there will still be leftover food. I brought back about half the bowl and since it had been sitting on the table for several hours, I was not comfortable with eating it anymore so I trashed it. A waste of money. But tuition in the school of "bad planning on my part". I got another pin of appreciation. One thing that I noticed and I will discuss this with the president is that they recognise the shelter workers with token small trinkets - the shelter staff, the volunteer office workers, the volunteer dog walkers, the volunteer cat room cleaners but they don't ever do anything for the volunteer thrift shop workers. I noticed this last year and thought it might have been a fluke but this year confirmed it. And there are many of the thrift shop people who attend the event year after year. The thrift shop volunteers are no less a volunteer than the shelter people - I mean we have to clean the public toilet in our store so we have to deal with poop too  Sorry if that's too much TMI but you know that's the shelter folks primary job ;) I am mixed up and I thought for some reason this was Wednesday and I had the entire day to myself at home. Would have been nice as I have a mountain of laundry to do. But no, it's Tuesday and I have to head to the shop for my shift.

Anne - sorry to hear that you are feeling so poorly. What is it that there is so much sinus sniffling going on right now? Sounds like you need extra time for resting. Let the family help you out and early to bed for you. I hope you can stay put in the office the rest of the week. Feel better!!! A warm cup of coffee or hot water against your temples can help ease the dreaded sinus headaches.

Dee - welcome back  My you certainly have had more than your share of medical woes. I'm glad the numbing has subsided but I also agree that you have to in many cases look out for your own health. Doctor care is not what it used to be and often one gets short changed. :( You may be on to something about the metal allergies. Just keep trying things and keep a diary so you can tell what helps and what makes things worse. Did you guys wind up selling your house and making the move after all or did you just decide to stay put until things settle down. I hope you are not overextending yourself with the seamstress work with your hands bothering you as they are.

Ceejay - when I was working I would have to attend conferences and speak in front of large audiences. It always made me VERY nervous although people said I never appeared to be so. I don't like people looking at me - in Tai Chi she has us run through the routine individually so she can watch us and correct anything we might be doing wrong - in a loving way but still, I can't have everyone watching me. But when speaking and I think the same can be true of the piano - I would get "into" my speech as you can get into your playing and I'd forget about the crowd and that helped ease the nervousness. And the more you do it, the more comfortable you will be. Give it up to God and he will help you because you are doing a very nice thing!

Oh and on Sunday DH and I went to the Steakhouse. We were getting ready to leave and something white on the side of DH's shirt caught my eye. I looked at him and said "I'm NOT going out with you looking like that!". He said whut? I said LOOK at your shirt!. He looked down and said "whut???" I said YOU HAVE YOUR SHIRT ON INSIDE OUT. I mean big seams and I don't know how he got his collar turned right. He said I must have washed it that way.  Before we left I asked him if his pants were zipped and if his shoes matched. Don't marry an old guy girls :lol3:

Will post this and see if Laura or Shad or Susie has checked in.

Laura705 03-07-2017 01:11 PM

Barely morning still, so this won’t get posted until after noon, so - good afternoon all.

Happy – Not fair that the thrift shop volunteers aren’t included in the appreciation gifts in recognition of their service. == Sorry you’re thinking of skipping the last weeks of tai chi, but pain isn’t good and you must do what you can to alleviate it. == Okay, stop talking about tacos, now I’m really hungry for some! :hun: == Bummer about the tough steak the other night. I had one at the restaurant at my mom’s community and it was nothing to write home about. But I actually didn’t have super high expectations. Something about a captive audience (i.e., customer base)... == LOL re dh with the inside out shirt… I’ve been laundering almost all my clothing inside-out in hopes of saving on wear & tear. And most of the time the clean clothes go into the closet that way. How interesting that your dh must think he need not look at what he pulls out of the closet or dresser drawer before he puts it on his body, hahaha.

Ceejay – I hope you find a better way to get to Branson without being on the expressway. Cute response from your niecelet about giving you some of her fearlessness of performing in public. If only she could! I guess the more you do it, the easier it gets. I’ve thought from time to time about joining Toastmasters to deal with that fear of public speaking.

Dee – Good to hear from you! :) I’m sorry you’re dealing with the numbing issues you’re having and I hope you can get to the bottom of it very soon!!! Oh dear, and a colon resection. I’m glad you had a nice Florida vacation. :sunny: Don’t be a stranger!

Annie – So sorry about the sinus issues. Good that you went to see someone since you were having pain. Hope the med helps!

Hellos to Susie (come up for air!) and Shad!

Nothing much to report on my end. If you didn’t catch it in my post yesterday, my biopsy results were good – benign tissue. Yay for that. :)

Tonight we’re going to a pizza place (Lou Malnati’s) for a fundraiser for the relay for life team. I think 20% of the food total will be donated to our RLF team.

That’s it for me, so I’ll get this posted.

MyChoice2bfit 03-07-2017 08:00 PM

Ladies, short post from my phone. I plan to post more tomorrow on the computer.

My VP is here and I am swamped.

But no matter what I am eating correctly, working out and reading all the posts.

Glad to see Dee made it back!

Hello ladies
Dee
So glad to see you back with us. But sorry to hear about your health problems. Will add you to my prayer list.

Happy
Yes, I think you are correct and God will have my back. I'd be so nervous playing in a recital that I thought I would pass out. Funny about you dh having his shirt inside out.

Susie
Hang in there and come up for a breath of fresh air soon.

Laura
Pizza sounds good to me. Every time I drive down the street and see Godfather's I almost stop. Tomorrow I may do that.

---------
We had another thunderstorm last night but there was no hail this time. We did have some very strong wind. Heard it whistling going around the corner of the house. Some people in Stocton had some damage and some in Arkansas had some damage. I was lucky. I watched the radar along with listening to one of the t.v. stations.

Shad 03-08-2017 06:28 AM

Evening all,

Not much to report around here. Still warm and sunny and no rain in sight. The garden is slowly dying off. I refuse to buy any more plants to replace those that have shrivelled up and died.
Next chemo is Friday 10th March. Since I am now almost bald I guess the rest will go probably before Friday at the rate it is coming out. It's the worst feeling of everything else I have been through. I will have to look out scarves and things now. My wonderful neighbour is coming in with me for the next chemo.

Happy - always seems that when we have to take a plate, the world and it's dog go made and make so much food it is impossible to eat it all. Have to laugh at the shirt inside out. It's a hazard. He would have been embarrassed if someone at the restaurant pointed out his mistake. Of course it was your fault for washing it inside out. I have a rule here, if the laundry comes in inside out, it gets washed that way. If you don't like that, turn the bloody thing out the right way and I will wash it as presented.
You are right - all the volunteers should get considered when it comes to awards. They too serve who stand and deal with the public. Apologies to Winston Churchill.

Dee - good to see you back. Hope you had a good time at Disney. You could be right about being allergic to base metals in rings and jewellery.

Annie - glad you got to see the doc about the sinus' and the cough. Best to get rid of them asap.

Ceejay - You can do this piano thing. Just imagine there is only one other person in the room and play for them. Only way to do some of these things.

Laura - So pleased that the biopsy results were negative. Such a relief.

Susie - sorry to hear you are swamped at work. How much do they expect you to be able to do. Are they thinking of adding more hours to the day so you can get more work piled on you?

I'm still cleaning the house - maybe with not so much enthusiasm as previously but it is getting done. Will finish the kitchen top to bottom tomorrow and then start in the dining room and onto the lounge room. Must say the kitchen looks a lot cleaner and shinier than it did. Sometimes wonder why I got a white kitchen. With my style of cooking, should have got black or brown.

That's about it for me. ODDU and I went for a walk earlier. He is not used to me walking him anymore. I must get back to it. I also got the diary thing for the exercise during chemo study I am part of. However it doesn't give a lot of information about what they want me to do. Just what I did, for how long and whether I got puffed out or not. Seems to be a bit disjointed some how.

Okay, I am off. See you

annie175 03-08-2017 08:53 AM

Wednesday....Hump day....HAPPY, better HEALTH, GRATEFUL and BLESSED!

LORDIE, I got some coughless sleep last night. Only up once at 4 to go potty. Forgot I had turned the volume down on my phone therefore when the alarm went off at 5, um well let's just say I slept til 6:30, my normal time to leave for work. Made wonderful get ready time and was at work by 7:30. Only thing I skipped was my eye shadow. lol. We met our accountant at Wings ETC to talk taxes. I had a small veggie plate with ranch dressing. It had 2 of each, cucumber slices, celery sticke, carrot sticks, tomato slices, green pepper slices. Cheapest dinner I ever ordered. $1.89. C ordered the Wrecker Hot Dog. It was 11" long and about a quarter size around. Laughed my heiny off at that weird looking dawg. Good news....drum roll....we get back on Federal 800 bucks...bad news we owe state 1505., which includes penalty. This is with taking 400 bucks extra out a month. 250 on state; 150 towards federal. Between that and 401k, medical/insurance, taxes, etc I barely have take home pay. Kind of stinks really, but what would I do with health insurance these days? Have to have the 401K so I MIGHT be able to retire before I am 75. However, I am VERY blessed to have a job to pay into these things. Roof over my head, shoes on my feet, food<---don't really need to eat, pot to p*ss in, Amen! Oh and toilet paper-gotta have that.

SHADDIE...you are so lovely inside and out. Maybe find you some of those little hats like newborns wear only for adults. They look cute on other's I see wearing them that have hair. Sam wears them about once a week. No use fighting the garden if the weather is not going to participate correctly. Don't blame you for not replanting. Sometimes easier to buy at the market. More expensive but for the time and trouble~worth it. I am into easier these days. Tomorrow is your next chemo, bleh, good thoughts coming your way. Hugs my dear sister.

CEEG...we had the same yucky weather two nights ago. Now we are looking at snow this weekend. One station says snow flurries the other says 7 inches. I hope none is the answer. You can imagine all in their undies when you play the piano at church, of course they will all wonder what the heck you are giggling about up there.

SUSIE...geez no rest for the weary at work is there? Keeps your mind busy and off of food is the way I try to look at that. Small God blessings we don't even think about. Good luck at WI Thursday, in case you don't make it back in here. Hang tight sister, hugs.

HAPPY...Hey woman, I don't blame you for not continuing TC. If your body says no, then no it is. I would rather sit and meditate to the sounds of the beach which I never do but sounds easier and less of a hassle. Yep agree with SHAD, you get your laundry the way it goes in the laundry. I figure if I wash, dry, fold or hang and typically put away, YOU can turn it right side OUT. Thank you very much. Of course C could care less and his under shirts he wears inside out under his shirts. He don't care and I don't either. I do not have time to be the laundry police, tell DH that one! lol. Yeah honey on the groceries it is all for you in love. Bah. I mean really go ahead and spill some grape juice on his camera stuff. bahahaha. OK on the volunteer pitch ins...make the normal recipe-do not upsize, leave half at home for you and DH. Maybe even down size it a bit. I mean you are not at a ANNIE's family gathering. Boo on the getting recognition at the awards thing but God knows. That is all that matters.

LAURA...So glad to hear positive news on the biopsy. Wonderful news really. How was the pizza? Yummy I am sure. Do you know how much was raised for RFL? How is your foot feeling? Have you started trying shoes yet? Hugs sister.

That is about it for me today. Ugly report day. Actually Tuesday and Wednesday are now ugly report days. That is ok, keeps me busy and mind focused. Not eating either. Make it a great day/night all. Hugs.

Laura705 03-08-2017 10:57 AM

Morning all. The wind will not stop today! Glad it’s not very cold out there or it would be a real bear.

Annie – Glad you had a good sleep last night. And extra time to boot!! :D -- Gosh, at least that dinner’s cost helped offset the state tax bill a wee bit. But that veggie plate wouldn’t have been enough for me – I’d be wanting a cup of soup and/or bread/roll with butter… == Yeh, take home pay is somewhat disappointing after all the deductions, but I try not to focus too much on gross vs. net. Especially the tax deductions - too depressing. I hate hearing on the news that Congress is investigating this and that - stop wasting our money and get on with running the country!!! == LOL, "laundry police". Glad we each do our own laundry in our place. == The pizza was fine. Also had a deep-fried zucchini appetizer, pretty good. Won’t know how much this fundraiser earned for our team until later. Two locations of the chain participated - hope there was a good turnout. == My foot’s feeling alright, but I haven’t tried any regular shoes yet, except for a roomy slipper at home.

Shad – Bummer about the garden dying off with no rain to help it. Try again next time. I forget – can you plant in 3 seasons there? We can plant some cool weather veggies in early spring and fall. I've never done that, but I might try spinach. I bet there will be competition with the bunnies.. :bunny:. == I’m glad your neighbor will accompany you to your chemo session on Friday. Hang in there! You’ll be half done after that, right?? == Your kitchen cleaning reminds me I need to wipe down the cabinets. I have oak cabinets and the color of the finish hides the splatters very well, but when I take a good look, I realize they desperately need a good wipe-down! I like the idea of a light, bright kitchen with light-colored counters and cabinets, but they sure would show the dirt!

Ceejay – The wind is really whistling today in our area and there’s a high wind advisory in effect. Hope you have the car in the garage! A few blocks from us, someone’s basketball hoop/post got knocked over by the wind. I guess that’s why people place bags of sand on top of the base!

Susie – Hang in there – at least it’s Hump Day today!

Nothing much to report. The dinner at Lou’s was quick last night since we called in our order in advance. They will pre-bake the deep dish pizza to a certain point, and then finish baking it once you get there – cuts down on the waiting time.

Did I mention that at the end of the fiscal fitness lunch & learn session last week, we were asked to set a goal? I’ve tried tracking our spending, but the cash spending has always been a big black hole. So my goal is to track my cash spending. I found a cell phone app that will help me with that – Spending Tracker. We’ll see how it goes.

That’s about it for me. I’ll get this posted. :comp:

Good My FRIDAY morning. Decided I was going to take a me day tomorrow and try to get healthy. Nothing on the books but rest and relaxation. HAPPY, ALMOST HEALTHY, GRATEFUL and BLESSED.

LAURA...mmmmm pizza, but I must say I am loving my KETO fathead pizza. My family likes it too. Keeping track of cash spent is really hard. I really do not like making goals cause let's face it, I cannot stick to them. May the force be with you.

Last night was a free for all frenzy on dinner. I didn't feel like cooking so everyone picked through left overs. I ended up with a chicken lettuce wrap with cheese, chicken, mayo, kale and radishes. Very yummy. Ate a KETO strawberry cheese cake fat bomb for dessert. Not much happening. Gathered trash around the house, Sam took it to the blue dumpster and to the curb for pick up today.

This weekend we are celebrating Royce's 3rd birthday. He wants to go bowling for his birthday. What 2 yr old turning 3 wants to go bowling. LMBO. So we are having a bowling birthday party. His little friends and family are meeting at the b alley, we rented 4 lanes at a decent price and bowling it is. How funny. We are making cupcakes at home for the party. The ice cream cone cupcakes. The alley supplies beverages, alley, shoes, balls and decor. This will be on Sunday at 1pm if you all want to attend.

Must get my monthly report done today as it is due tomorrow and I will be out. Have a great day/night/weekend. May check in with the WI but don't think I have lost lbs but probably inches as I am in a medium shirt today. WHAT?!! Yep! That is how the KETO way of life works. Some times inches, some times inches and lbs. I will take whatever.

HUGS TO ALL>
