Gayle........Reckon if we moved to KS, Steve could get Wayne a job????????!!!!!!!!

gdeann 09-03-2003 12:02 AM

Actually, thats why Steve stays so busy and recruits this "cheap help" He's the only sales rep. in this part of Kansas. He goes as far as the oklahoma and colorado borders, averaging about 1000-1500 miles per week on the vehicle. I'll do some asking and see if there's anything open up in your area. What kind of work would Wayne like to be doing? Can he draw unemployment for awhile?

Deb: The funeral was Monday, out of town. Now I'm back and trying to catch-up. I took a day off from daycare to get some things done...I'm more behind now then ever!

ShelleyM 09-03-2003 06:04 AM

Gosh, you ladies are so wonderful! It's so nice to be cared about! Actually I think everything went well. The Dr talked to me while I was still out of it, but he did say see you in 2 years, so I think that means everything is fine! The paper showed that there was a little activity in my lower region, which means I might be getting ready for another flareup. I'll have to ask when they call today checking up on me.

Bad news! The appraiser is coming this morning and the chickens are still in the house! I will be at work, so Mike will have to make some excuse for them being there. I hope it doesn't affect anything.

I have been sending my resume in to different places via the Internet. Maybe someone will respond with more money than the district pays!

Sherry-Don't be depressed!! Everything will work out. Wayne will find something soon that is bigger and better than what he had. I hope your dentist appt. goes well.

Debbie-Please feel better!

Everyone-Thank you all for caring!!

Deelite 09-03-2003 09:54 AM

Shelley why are you getting your house appraised? I must have missed something. Glad that it looks like things went well with your test.

gdeann 09-03-2003 11:28 AM

Shelley: I'm glad to hear the test went well!!!! Is it a very complicated procedure?

I'm like Dee, are you guys selling? You can tell them the value increased because it is now a "ranch home" with all of the chickens.

ShelleyM 09-03-2003 06:31 PM

THE CHICKENS ARE OUT OF THE HOUSE!!! Of course, that was after the appraiser left. Anyway, we are just refinancing. He didn't seem to think that it would be a problem getting the loan on the amount we were hoping for.

A colonoscopy is not complicated. They knock you out, then go up your butt with a long tube with a camera on the end of it. They look at the TV screen to see what is going on. They can go quite high when you are knocked out. They also took some biopsys.

ShelleyM 09-03-2003 07:48 PM

Ramona-I forgot to tell you--I looked up your friend on the global list for the school district and there was no Jana Lara listed. Maybe she goes by a different last name???

Sherry 09-03-2003 09:56 PM

Hey

I'm in a lot of pain from my 3 teeth but wanted to post and play catch-up.

I went to the dentist.First of all, He has me on Lortab pain pills & an antibotic. I go back next Thursday. I'll be going in 4 different times as my sessions are in 4 parts. He's going to pull my 3 teeth, they can't be saved, also he's doing Perio Sealing. I have to have 8 fillings too. My teeth are in bad shape due to growing up with no dental insurance & my Parents not being able to afford to take us.As an Adult, I never went like I should have. Now I see how important is was.

Shelley,
I'm glad everything went well with the colonoscopy.Hopefully the dr. is right and you won't have to go back for 2 years!! YEAH!! :)

Dee,
Tell your Dad Happy 71st B/Day!! :hb: May he have many, many more!! I hope you had fun going out to dinner with him.

Ramona,
The party sounded like it was great!! What did your Mom & Dad say when they saw the minister who married them? I bet they were so surprised!! I think you looked awesome in those pictures. You looked so slim!!!!

Debbie,
I hope you're feeling better tonight.I'm glad you went to the Dr. Take your meds and get well soon!!! Love & Miss you!! WTG on the 2 lb. loss!! You're on your way!!!

Carol,
Did you weigh-in yesterday? Hope you had good results!! Have things calmed down for you?

Gayle,
Were you able to get some painting done on your day off? I hope you got to relax. Wayne is still trying to draw unemployment. He's also still looking. He does macanic work but the bad thing is...he doesn't have his own tools. He has also used his boss'. Oh well, I know with a lot pf praying, he'll get something soon.

Dee (Titan),
Anymore word from the twins?

Vicki.....Doni.......Cheryl......Jennelle......... .I hope that everything is ok and wanted to say hi and also say...I sure do miss you. :grouphug:

This pill has kicked in.....my eyes aren't focusing too well.....better lay down....

Hugs.......Love you all........

gdeann 09-03-2003 11:08 PM

Poor, poor Sher-bear...here's a {{{HUG}}} for you!!!! I hope your mouth is feeling better soon. Nothing worse then a toothache or earache...oooop's, forgot childbirth! Hopefully after your visits to the dentist, you will be in tip top shape!!!! Will your insurance cover this? Here about 4 years ago, we had to set up a payment plan with our dentist! Steve had to have artificial fronts put on due to a discoloration from medication when he was a kid. Nope, no painting for me....to busy....bummer....:D

Shelley: Have you had problems in the past or did you decide to just have the scope? I'm having some IBS issues and should probably go to the doctor, but I'm afraid he would suggest what you just went through, and right now I don't think I could handle it.

Dee: Tell Daddy-O HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:smug:

gdeann 09-03-2003 11:18 PM

Sher: My father was a machanic for several years and farmed full time too. I remember being a kid and getting to be the "tool runner" I can tell Steve which tool he needs before he can figure it out! ;)

Tell Wayne I'm thinking of him! It's the same way around here, they want you set up with your own tools, which can run THOUSANDS of dollars! Wayne got one of them ther girlie tool calenders????? :o Seems like every mechanic in this area has one!

Sherry: Ooooo!!!!!! dental pain is the worst pain ever!!! I feel for you. Hope you feel better real soon. {{{{hugs}}}}

A THOUGHT

There is a thought in your mind right now. The longer you hold on to it, the more you dwell upon it, the more life you give to that thought. Give it enough life, and it will become real. So make sure the thought is indeed a great one.

Make sure that the thought is positive and creative. Make it a thought that enriches the world. Make it a thought that soars to heights never before reached. Make it a thought filled with love and with joy.

You can think whatever you choose. So choose the thoughts that will truly make a positive difference for you and for those around you.

Right now you are giving the energy of your life to a thought, energy that will make that thought into something real. Keep the very best thoughts in mind, and your life will faithfully express them.

Gayle-I have IBD--ulcerative colitis. I've had it since I was in my late 20's. I've had colonoscopies on and off for the last 20 years. I hate them! Your dr. might just order a sigmoidoscopy, which is a scope in the lower region. You don't get drugs with that, so you can feel it, but it's not that bad.

Sherry-You poor baby!! Nothing is worse that hurting teeth!! My mom just had her mouth operated on yesterday and had to get stitches. I hope you medicine kicks in and makes your teeth feel better! Do you have dental insurance with the school system? I know ours is pretty good, even though I never use it on myself--just on the kids.
