Corinna - don't beat yourself up over your food choices and lack of exercise. You can get focused and start again. Actually, we both need to put on our game face and get serious. I'm with you on our journey. We CAN do this!!!!!!!

Corinna T 10-02-2016 05:35 PM

Thanks Renee for your support. It means a lot to me. I need to say goodbye to Lindt chocolate and Cherry Garcia ice cream for now. They are too addicting for me. Maybe once a year on my birthday would be fine, and only in moderation. Tomorrow is the start of my next 8-week diet effort. I plan on losing 10 lbs with diet and exercise. I can do this. I will do this. Are you with me?

Renee3 10-02-2016 07:26 PM

I'm with you all the way :dust:

Renee-Day 1 and all is good. I even had a guy at the office today try to tempt me with some chocolate chip cookies.
I politely asked him to give them to the next person who willingly took them. So day 1 was good. Day 2 is always harder.
I hope you had a successful day too and another day to follow. Glad we are in this together.

No car yet, but getting closer. :)

Renee-Day 2 and all is good. Starting to get cloudy here, so perhaps rain is headed this way again.

There is a charity fund raiser for our local animal shelter this weekend. I am thinking about taking Jack for the dog walk portion. I think it should be fun as long as it doesn't rain.

I need to start thinking about Halloween. There are a lot of kids in the neighborhood, so need to figure out what types of treats I need to get and how many. Don't want to get them too early or I will be tempted to eat them too. :)
Have a great Wednesday!

Renee3 10-05-2016 06:35 AM

1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores
1/2 hr. evening barn chores
8756 steps

Meals
oatmeal
banana
egg and cheese sandwich
roast beef with potatoes and carrots

The charity fund raiser sounds like fun. I need to start cleaning up the garden. It's always sad when the garden gets cut down. No more fresh garden veggies.

I don't need to worry about Halloween treats. We never get anyone! Too far from town. I do like to decorate. I have a collection of ceramic and wood pumpkins I display every year.

You're doing good with your food choices. Enjoy your day!

Corinna T 10-05-2016 08:57 PM

Exercise
8 flights of stairs
30 minute walk with dog

Meals
Egg/Cheese biscuit
Veggie Burger, Onion Rings
Bean and Cheese Burrito

I registered for the 5K walk, and dog show. Now to figure out what trick to do with Jack.

I know you love your gardening. Yes, it must be sad to see it all cut down. I got two Boston ferns today
for free. They are nice. I put them on my porch. Now I need to figure out how to care for them.

You have been making good food choices too. Perhaps we will see some good results this week.
I hope so. :) We can do this!

1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores
dug carrots
1/2 hr. evening barn chores

Meals
oatmeal
banana
roast beef sandwich
graham crackers

Well, I got all my carrots dug, washed, peeled, cut, blanched and frozen. Now I can pull the soaker hoses out and cut the garden down. Today I need to trim back my wisteria bush. It grew out of control this summer., Grocery shopping this morning, then hoping to get a drive in with Steel. I'm glad the hurricane is going to miss us, but I hope all in it's path stay safe.

Have an awesome Thursday!

Corinna T 10-06-2016 07:26 PM

Exercise
1 hour walk with dog
30 minute bike ride

Meals
Egg, veggie bacon, toast, berry juice
banana
vegetable/cheese sandwich
veggie patty

You sure are getting a lot of exercise in that garden. How will you keep yourself in shape this Winter?

Steel will like getting out and about. It sounds like fun.

I think the hurricane will miss us here. Glad about that. Expect we will get a little bit of rain from it though.

You have been doing real good on your meals and exercise this week. Keep at it.

Renee3 10-07-2016 06:46 AM

Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores
2 hrs. outside work
1/2 hr.evening barn chores

Meals
oatmeal
roast beef sandwich, hard boiled egg

sloppy joe casserole, broccoli

Pulled the soaker hoses out of the garden, then Chris mowed down most of the it. I still have some late string beans and kale. Today I need to trim back the wisteria and I want to sneak in another drive with Steel.

I guess I should put out my 2 Halloween decorations. A big plastic light-up pumpkin and skeleton.

Will your walk be cancelled if it rains? Did you think of trick for Jack?

Enjoy your day!

Corinna T 10-07-2016 08:29 PM

Exercise
8 flights of stairs
30 minute walk

Meals
egg, veggie sausage, toast
2 veggie pizza slices
bean and cheese burrito, berry drink

A big plastic light-up pumpkin and skeleton. That sounds festive. :sklol:
We bought a bag of chocolate candy bars tonight.
I hid them just as soon as we got home to save for Halloween guests at our door.

The walk tomorrow is suppose to be rain or shine. I think I will have him crawl to me and then circle me to start weaving through my legs. He doesn't bark as much now while doing this, so I don't think he will be so irritating like before with his piercing barks. He is getting much better about it.

Tomorrow is weigh-in. Good luck to you. I hope you have a great Saturday!:cheer2:

Renee3 10-08-2016 06:35 AM

No change for me. My portions are still too big. I need to try harder, but I get so hungry between meals.

Need to do some weed wacking today.

Trimmed the wisteria tree and had Steel out for another drive. I sure do love this weather!

Hope you did better than I did...have a great day!

Corinna T 10-08-2016 09:21 PM

Exercise
1 hour speed walk with dog
30 minute walk with dog

Meals
banana
bean and cheese burrito
tomato/mozzarella flatbread sandwich
broccoli/cheddar soup
cheese/jalapeno popper

Surprisingly, I went down 3 lbs. I expected at least one pound but not three. Now back closer to where I was before. Maybe it was more water weight I gained last week, so that is why the big decrease. I am happy about it anyway.

I will do some research on some good snacking treats that will work for us. Do you like hummus? If you do, maybe you could try some with celery for snacking. Just a little bit, but it is a satisfying food for me. How about trying just a small handful of nuts/raisins?

The charity event for the animal shelter was fun today. My dog won first place for the best trick, and the best dog overall for show. I was so happy. Then I also won the raffle for a basket of dog toys and treats. So 3 wins on a dreary wet kind of day.

Later we looked at cars again and furniture. I think we will have a car by Monday. Really getting close now.

I hope you have a great Sunday!
