We got some rain today. Still kind of warm. Expect that to change by tomorrow. Didn't get a chance to exercise tonight. Traffic was horrible, and it took me 2 1/2 hours to get home. I wasn't happy about that. Too many accidents, rain, and just late in the day to head home. I will have to make up the exercise time tomorrow with my pooch.

My cold is slowly going away. Feel much better today. It is not slowing me down as much now.

Tomorrow is weigh-in. Good luck! Hope you have a great Saturday.:cb:

Down 1 lb. :) Cleaned out my tack room and garden room yesterday. Put all the liquid stuff down in the cellar, so it doesn't freeze. It's supposed to freeze here tonight. Raining and windy right now. Guess I will catch up on my reading today.

Have a great weekend!

30 minute bike ride
30 minute walk

Meals
Scrambled eggs, veggie sausage, toast
Mock chicken tenders, kale/onion/sweet potato mix
Mock fish nuggets

And my scale says......just the same weight, no change. I thought for sure I would be down 1lb. Renee-you did great!!! You dropped a 1 lb, so you should be down to 216 or even lower.

We had cold weather here today. I was riding my bike in the rain. Cleaned the house later on, then took my dog to a few pet stores to look for some new fetching toys for him. He loves going in the stores. So many different smells. I ended up finding 3 new ones for him. He already chewed up the one of them while I was working him this evening. Glad it was on sale. He already beat me to sleep this evening, so he must have had a good work out.

Blustery and chilly today. Didn't do much of anything yesterday except bake a cake for fellowship hour at church today. I have a few hay customers coming later today.

Meals
Scrambled egg/black bean/bell pepper wrap

Felt good this morning, but later started getting a headache and nauseated. Guessing I was dehydrated, so I took some aspirin and drank some water. Felt better in the afternoon after a nap. Took my dog out to work him on some basic big ball herding. Day one for that. I think he likes his rope on a ball better. He can get his mouth around that and bite it. The big ball he can't bite, but has to nudge it. Once he gets use to that, we will make better progress.

I need to start working on my pushups and sit-ups again. If I try to do 10 a day of each, that would be a good start. Eventually it will be habit forming. I just need to get into the routine.
http://www.myemoticons.com/images/ho...se/push-up.gif

What kind of cake did you make? That was nice of you to make one. Good for you for figuring out a way to tackle your carbs.

Wow this was a quick weekend. I hope you have a great week! http://www.myemoticons.com/emoticons...random/sun.gif

Bought a heater for our bathroom today. Now I can have some heat in the room when I get out of the shower in the morning. This one works a lot quicker and much warmer than our old one.

My dog and I are glad the flies and gnats are gone too. I hated them flying around my face.

Ate some Halloween candy today at work. I know it is not good for me, but I kept thinking about it. I will be glad when we are past it. Too many temptations everywhere for Halloween.

Sam's off again today so I think I'll go to the feed store and get shavings and feed. I can't unload and stack the shavings by myself. I'm lucky to have a husband that helps me with anything I need.

Have an awesome Friday!

Meals
Blueberry bagel with cream cheese

http://www.myemoticons.com/images/em...ed/shock-4.gif
Yes, I did it. I ate many Butterfinger bite pieces while watching a movie this evening. Now I am overloaded with sugar and feeling nauseated. I don't know why I did it. I know better than to do it.
http://www.myemoticons.com/images/em...ppointed-3.gif

So why did I do it?
Maybe to have control over something.....no, I don't think so.
Am I unhappy....no, I am not.
Then why...really why? Just tired and being lazy....maybe.
http://www.myemoticons.com/emoticons...s/question.gif

Just being carefree for one evening with no restrictions, .....
but was it worth really worth it????
No, so now I will have to pay the price.
I am not making excuses for myself.
Just doing some self analysis as to why the situation occurred.
Now I need to fix it so it doesn't happen again.

You have been doing good with your meals and exercise. Very good.
I hope you show some good success tomorrow.

You have a very good husband to help you around the house/farm.

Thanks for the compliments. Have a wonderful Saturday!!!

No change for me....

For me, when I eat something sweet, it's because I just love the taste. I think I am truly addicted to chocolate and baked goods, But, I noticed this week I can really control my addiction. I baked cookies and a cake and did very well with the self control.

My knees have been bothering me lately and I think it's a weight issue so I am motivated to drop the excess pounds. I CAN do this!

Have a great Saturday!

Went looking at house construction today, and another for sale. Just for fun. Also went and looked at cars/trucks for sale, and some couches. Almost bought a couch and loveseat, but dimensions were off by 1 foot, so decided not to buy today. Went home and measured once again, and think maybe couch set may have worked. Sale ended today, so will have to wait for next one and hope they still have couches.

Went up 3 lbs this week for weigh-in. Not surprised.

Great job Renee on your self control this week. You have been hanging on to that will power dust. Keep going strong!

Today was a beautiful day. Went for a nice walk in the morning, later worked with my dog on his agility jumps, and then this evening worked on basic herding with him in a field. Just trying to get him to stop chasing the big ball when I say, and to come back to me. He shows improvements since his last day. It just takes repetition and he will get better. It was fun.

Did you take Steel out today for a drive? I saw on the news in areas near you there had severe thunderstorm warnings. I hope you were okay.

Getting ready for the ghost and goblins tonight. Much cooler today. Glad you were able to get a ride in with Steel. I am sure he enjoyed it. Yes, Jack is easy to work with because he has the desire to learn and play. It is fun for both of us. It is probably something like that with Steel and you, but I imagine it is a bit harder with a horse.

Work those muscles doing the Fall Cleaning. You are so good!

We got around 100 kids. It was very busy. Good thing I bought double the candy. Anyway, after the first hour we ran out, so we closed the door, turned out the porch lights, and put up a sign-sorry ran out of candy. The kids were so cute in their costumes. It was fun.

You will have to think of some indoor activities to keep you busy in the evenings to avoid those extra temptations.
1. crafts
2. seasonal decorations for mailbox
3. learn a musical instrument
4. learn a foreign language
5. exercise with dvd/video
6. dance to music
7. write a story
just a few ideas.....

My knees don't hurt all the time, but they would be happier if they weren't supporting so much weight. Today is grocery shopping day. I need to load up on fruit so I can grab a healthy snack. We've been busy selling hay everyday. As soon as it turned a little colder, everyone wanted to stock up for the winter. Sam's been busy on his days off getting the soil tested to see how much lime we need to add to the fields.

Hope your days get less busy so you can relax a bit......

Wow, it is good that you are selling your hay. All of your hard work is paying off. I asked about your knees because I see your state has a lot of organized walks, perhaps you could try a 5km or 10km walk sometime. It would be fun to try one together.

What type of fruit did you end up buying?

I also need to do more fall house cleaning, but really can't with Sam being home LOL. He did say something about going out for lunch.

Just one more week of election commercials and election news. I am tired of it all as well.

Another week has gone by. Tomorrow is weigh-in again. I hope the scale puts a smile on your face.

Today was a good day for activities. I got to sleep for an extra hour, which I was able to do with no problem. I had a nice morning walk. I made it to church early rather than late. We went for a drive for a few hours, and stopped to see some dog agility trials for about 45 minutes. I was able to find the person in charge for the event, and they will help me get in to future training classes with my dog. I had a lovely walk around my local town, seeing all the foliage , and lovely old houses. My husband made me lunch, and he did the laundry for me. The weather was perfect. It was a good day.

Regarding my meals, they were not the greatest for breakfast and supper, so I need to redirect my effort in that area. However, I feel happy tonight. So I will enjoy it.

I bet your kitchen is sparkling after all your hard work. Three hours of cleaning equates to a lot of calories being burned off. I hope you have a terrific Monday!

Not such a good day yesterday. Sam went to work, but when I got home from church, he was home. His mother was in a car accident. She was making a left into her church parking lot and hit a car coming towards her. She's 89 years old and shouldn't be driving. She's in the hospital with a couple broken ribs, swollen knee, hurt wrist , finger and her face is bruised. I think her airbag did the most damage. Her car is totaled. The people in the other car were ok. She lives in the main house and we're going to have to figure out how to manage it. They kept her overnight because of her age.

Looks like a beautiful day. The sunrise is gorgeous!

Enjoy your day!

Corinna T 11-07-2016 07:09 PM

Oh Renee, I am sorry to hear that your mother-in-law was in a car accident. That is so sad. I hope she heals painlessly and quickly. It is hard for older people to accept that they can't do the things they use to, especially when it comes to their independence. I hope you can figure out some way for her care when she gets home. Glad to hear that the people in the other car were okay. She needs your sympathy and understanding after this situation and during this transition. I hope things go smoothly.

I hope all goes well for your mother-in-law. Today looked like a very nice day. It is the time of year when I go to work in the dark, and today I came home just about in the dark. In a few more weeks, it will be dark in the evenings then too. I will have to grab some sunshine during lunch time. So my evening walks will be in the dark through the neighborhood. Tomorrow it is suppose to rain here and then get colder for the weekend. I think it will be a very close election. We voted early. Are your wood chips for the barn stalls, for burning, or for mulching around the house?

Have a great Wednesday!

Friday I have off. I will probably spend it cleaning and fixing up the house. Maybe go couch shopping again. There should be some good sales.

Our hot water heater/radiator heating element went out yesterday. Luckily we found someone who could get the part and fix it in the same day. Yeah!

Happy Thursday!
