hi
going for a walk with a partner is fun and motivating. it makes you accountable to her as you have to show up. Like yesterday, if someone had been waiting for me to go for a walk I would ahve gone, but as there wasn't I didn't go. You'll reach goal faster this way nad you will be much healthier with exercise. You go girl :cb: ;) I'm drinking water as of today. I can go days without drinking water, it's quite amazing. I've almost got my quota already. My mom was here today and canned some dill pickles for me while I made her garage sale signs. You can't move without having a garage sale. We also got the potatos dug. Not as many as last year, but it will definitely do.
I always loved school. I've done 6 years of university and am thinking about what I want to go to school for next. Weird,eh.
Well, I should go start supper and I want to go for a walk while it's in the oven. Wish me luck
Bye
Diana

Christian 09-03-2003 06:56 PM

Wishing you Lots of luck :D:balloons:

Christian 09-03-2003 06:57 PM

Oh yeah, What was for supper????????
I had spagetti ;)

DewCan 09-04-2003 12:44 AM

Hi Christie
Meatloaf, rice, and fresh carrots, that's what was for supper :) I've eaten quite well today. I also exercised, drank an ocean of water, and kept busy all day, it's the only way I don't eat. Well, it's late and I should go to bed. Good luck tomorrow, and go for a walk!!!!!!
Diana

Christian 09-04-2003 10:25 PM

YES I will ;) Exercise that is

I joined Curves today, I start the work out tomorow so I will now have the exercise I need to get this weight off and hopefully keep it off :D Thanks for the swift kick in the rear ;)
And hope you had a great day!!!

DewCan 09-05-2003 01:12 AM

Christie
:cp: Yeah for ypu that you joined curves. Now we just have to get ypu to go regularly:drill: Just kigging  I'm sure you will go. I've gone for a walk 2 days in a row now, it's part of my 21 day challenge. I think tomorrow morning will be okay (weigh in) but I'm still nervous :stress:
Well it's late
Diana

Christian 09-05-2003 07:44 AM

Let me know how weigh in goes!!! :D

DewCan 09-06-2003 01:15 AM

Hi Christie
I lost 1 pound, just short of my 1.5 pound goal, but I'm still happy. Did you go to curves today?
Diana

DewCan 09-07-2003 01:05 AM

Hi
I'm glad that you're enjoyimg curves, it looks fun on the commercials. Exercise is such an important part of being healthy. We went for a walkagain today, almost 2 miles. I enjoy it. I weighed again this morning and was 3 pounds heavier than yesterday. What's up with that :?: I hope that's not my true weight. I'm having an okay weekend, I hope you do too as I know you struggle with them. I've been eating bad latelyI wih I would stop.
Goodnight
Diana

Christian 09-08-2003 11:51 AM

Here I am

Sorry i was MIA I have had alot of stuff going on here the last few days:dizzy: Dont worry about the 3 pounds, if it is close to the TOM I usually gain 5 but it is gone when the cycle is through ;)
Great job on the walking :D YOU GO GIRL!! I went to curves this morning myself and had a ball! It is so nice to be there and they play praise and worship music that I absolutley LOVE  It sure helps to pray and praise the Lord while working out and it makes my whole day go by better  Now as far as the eating goes, I will do the same thing you would do to me:nono:
You would tell me to quit it ;):drill: So hang in there and if you just feel like snacking for snacking sake, go get some 94% ff popcorn and down the whole bag, it helps me ....well I better finish my hairdo ...the hubby is taking me to lunch...catch you a little later!!!

DewCan 09-08-2003 05:54 PM

Hi Christie
I'm glad you're actually going to curves. And it's fantastic that you're enjoying it :cb: I went for my walk already today, drank my water, and did situps. That's 6 days in a row now. I've eaten well today but yesterday wasn't that great. I'm going to go outside now and work in the garden instead of snacking which is what I really feel like doing. Thanks sargent for the finger waving at me. I really do need to get my act together. Fridays weigh in coming closer.....

Christian 09-09-2003 11:14 AM

Hey there Diana,
I went to curves this morning and as usual it was WONDERFUL!!
I enjoy it so much more than regular exercise and the praise music they play is phenominal  I hope to have a loss at weigh in this week but if not I know in my heart that I am doing my best and that is what is mosy important right??? Well Jason is off today so I had better run and spend as much time with him as possible....You have a SUPER day !!!

DewCan 09-09-2003 11:18 PM

Hi Christie
I'm sure you'll be fine this week at weigh in as you've been exercising. And if not, well you've definitely improved your health :cb: I hope you enjoy your day with your hubby. ;) I've been busy all day. My mom was over and we worked in hte garden. I didn't go for a walk today, but I did about 3 hours of weeding, that must count for something. God Bless :)

Christian 09-10-2003 12:44 PM

Good Morning!

WoW 3 hours of weeding?????
Thats enough exercise trust me :D
I hate weeding, I love the garden BUT weeding is just not my thing :dizzy: I dont think anyone really enjoys that part of it ;)
Did you get any of that canning done? I know you said you were really wanting too....I went to curves again this morning and I can sure tell a difference in how I feel afterwards and I think you are right about it making me healthier, I actually feel lt :)
Well I guess that is all for now, I am at dads today doing his laundry...(bachelor) someone has to take care of him ;)
Catch ya later tonight!!

DewCan 09-11-2003 01:33 AM

OK I'm getting a bit jealous of you going to curves :o ;) I did a 50 min exercise video. I'm going to order some more videos on-line. I can't byu any where I live. I hadn't weeded all year and the weeds were thick like a crop and up to my knees :o :D I have a baby, that's my excuse. I canned 3 quarts of dill pickles, that's 16 for the year, 10 quarts pickled beets, some frozen peas, potatos, and I have to do something with my carrots and pumpkins yet. I'm dealing with postpartum depression and today was extra hard for me, and like usual I don't know why. I've beat cheating on the scales all week, and I'm up, it better be my TOM soon or something ( my meds are also supposed to make me gain weight :( )Maybe I can salvage tomorrow. :)

Christian 09-11-2003 08:34 AM

MORNING :D

Hey there!
Glad to see you got some canning done ;)
I know you were really wanting too, and about using the baby for an excuse, girl that is the only valid excuse their is  I remember when the girls were little, I was doing good to go to the restroom let alone getting time to exercise :dizzy: And on the weight thing, it never fails for me to gain up to 5 pounds at the TOM, No matter how good I eat or how I exercise, I ALWAYS retain water :( It is just something we ladies have to deal with I guess :^: Well I am off to weigh in this morning at WW so I will let you lnow how it goes....wish me luck as the scale has been going up and down all week here too....catch ya in a bit....

DewCan 09-11-2003 09:59 PM

Hi
I hope your weigh in went well. I'm very nervous for tomorrow :stressed: I ate well today, drank my water, did my situps, and walked 6 1/2 miles. so I guess I salvaged today. Babies not happy with me right now :bb:

Christian 09-11-2003 11:13 PM

Well I am wishing you luck for tomorow and 6 1/2 miles!!!!
WAY TO GO!!! :bravo:

My weigh in was good, I am down a pound :D So I am down 8 pounds total since the 14th of last month, I am happy with that,
And look at you too.....You weighed 201 when we met and you are down to 197...and as of tomorow maybe even more!! ;)
I think we are definatly on the right track, be sure to let me know how it goes after you weigh in I am sure you will have a loss ...

DewCan 09-13-2003 01:36 AM

You Go Girl :D

You are amazing with your weight loss, there's a light at the end of your tunnel and it's getting brighter (and no, it's not a train  ) 8 pounds in a month :dizzy: :bravo: :cp: :hat: :cb: :flow2: :high: :encore:  Well, I was the same, even with all the exercise and water. Maybe my not so great eating is showing itself :o I will lose next week:strong: I'm determined. Hope your weekend goes well.

Christian 09-13-2003 04:25 PM

Hey there buddy ;)
Thanks for all the encouragment
And WAY TO GO on maintaining :bravo:
Hey that is awsome!!! I think personally that staying the same is just as good as losing, Hey anything is better than a gain in my book and even those are expected once in awhile, just because we are women...TOM and all :dizzy: So what have you been up to today?? My hubby is off today so we are just hanging out and watching movies, I love taking a day every once in awhile just to do nothing ;) The girls are with family so it is just the 2 of us and boy it sure is quiet  Well I guess I better run off and get supper going...looks like baked chicken tonight...catch ya a little later and have a great night!!! ;)

Christian 09-13-2003 04:38 PM

Just posting a picture ...this was last year but I look pretty much the same :)

DewCan 09-15-2003 03:10 PM

Hi Christie
I'm so sorry I haven't posted for so long. :sorry: I've had such a busy weekend and didn't get on this site at all. Yesterday my hubby was on the computer during all our free time shopping for tools. I didn't exercise Sun or Sat :mad:But I did drink my water and did my situps :) Well, I'm getting company and the house is a mess :( so I should go and clean, have a great day ;)

Christian 09-18-2003 08:41 AM

Good Morning

How are ya :D
Well today is weigh in day for me, and I am not looking forward to it at all, I just hope to at least stay the same but to be honest I may have a small gain...and it will be my fault :( I stayed in my points BUT used almost all the flexpoints they give And made low fat brownies...and they are not good to use points up on if you get me  Well I hope all is well there, been missing ya but I know how busy you are with such a new baby, I remember finding it hard to find time to cook muchless get on the computer ;) Have an awsome day and I will report back a little later!

Christian 09-19-2003 07:54 AM

weigh in results- lost 1/2 pound....not a whole one But it is still a step in the right direction :D

Good luck at your weigh in ;) Let me know how it goes!!

DewCan 09-23-2003 07:31 PM

Hi
Christie
:dizzy: Way to go on the loss. Even though it's 1/2 pound, it's better than a gain. You're amazing, you're constantly losing. I gained 1/2 a pound this last week. It's also my TOM, maybe I can blame it on that.:o Sorry that i didn't write for so long. I've been very busy, and in town at my Mom's. I have been completely off track. No water, or situps or exericse. It's really quite sad. Hope you're having a good week so far.
Diana

Christian 09-23-2003 08:29 PM

Well there you are

I was wondering about you ;) I am sure the 1/2 pound was account of that TOM :dizzy: I usually fluctuate anywhere for one to five pounds here :( BUT it is over and gone in a week and then I am back to my usual self  And I am sure you will start doing better as soon as the cycle ends, I always eat more then, and as a matter of fact I am right about there myself so I will be lucky not to show a gain this week. How is the baby??? Well I hate to run as I have so much to say  But the girls are out of the bath and I have got to dry their hair now that it gets so cool at night... I am always here.....

LeanneM83 09-24-2003 02:19 PM

Hi THERE!!

Hi Ladies,

I just finished reading what you had posted...I am a stay at home mom of 2. I just had my second son on July30th, 2003 and I am trying to lose all the weight I gained from my pregnancy. I was 222 lbs at 9 months pregnant. Now, I am about 186 but I have spent the past 7 weeks working out and doing a low carb diet. Sometimes it is SO hard. Especially when my husband and son eat whatever they want. Anyways, I would love to be diet buddies if you would like to.

DewCan 09-24-2003 02:47 PM

Hi
It's nice to chat again, I'll try to get at this site more. My baby's fine. I got him weighed on Monday and he's growing like a weed. It's getting cool here too. Last night it froze outside, brrrrrr.

Leanne it's great to have you one board. You are welcome anytime. Congratulations on the new baby :bb: What did you have? Wow you're doing great, you've lost 36 pounds :cb: :cb: Yes I know some of it was the baby and birthing process, but probably not even 1/2 of the 36. I was on track for a while but am completely off it now. It's sad :( I need to get back at it but lack the motivaiton for hte day to day stuff.
Well, hope you both have a great day

Christian 09-24-2003 03:04 PM

Hey Diana,
Come on girl, snap out of it :nono:
You can get back into the swing of it...just think of how much you have acomplished so far and how it was SO worth the effort you have put in ;) YOU CAN DO THIS!! :D:D:D

Leanne- Welcome!! Feel free to hop right in ....we love to chat
WAY TO GOAL on the 36 pounds!!!!That is AWSOME!!! :balloons:

Well guys I am off for now, got to get supper started.......

LeanneM83 09-24-2003 08:40 PM

HI

HI Christie and Diana

SO nice to talk with people who know how hard it is to lose weight but more importantly how hard it is every minute of every day. But, it helps a lot when you are able to talk about it.:p
Hopefully, Diana you will get back on the wagon.....*laughs* I think the hardest thing is starting...even though you have been doing it, once you get away from that it is one of the hardest things to re-start again.( I have done it many times)

I have a seven week old baby boy, named Ryan and a 2.5 year old son named Cameron. When cam is in school , 3 mornings a week, Ryan and I do a strollersize/powerwalk class. I love it, except all the other people have 6month old or older babies and look GREAT...ugh, although I find it makes me angry initially that I let myself get like this, then it motivates me to work harder.
The other days, I have been running...I am trying to work up to doing a 10km run next may...fingers crossed!
Hope you guys have a great day...

Leanne

Christian 09-25-2003 09:34 PM

Hey guys!!
Weighed in at 155.8 so I am up .3 pounds this week...
Hope you are both doing great!!!

DewCan 09-27-2003 04:35 PM

Christie
at least it's only a small gain. Next week you sill be down if you work at it real hard. ;) Thanks for the finger waving :D

Leanne
That's a great goal, the 10k. I've never been a runner, too busty and have been that way since 14. okay too much info. I wish I could be a runner. So the ladies with the older babies look a bit better, it's normal, they've been unpregnant longer  It takes time and perserverance :dizzy: I only wish it was easy.

I weighed and had a maintain. Better than a gain. Next week I will jsut have to be down, so I better work hard.

Have a good weekend. Especially Christie, who finds weekends not so easy ;)

Christian 09-27-2003 05:09 PM

WAY to go on maintaining Diana
And thanks for remembering me this weekend :D I am doing better today than I did yesterday I totally blew it last night in so many ways :( But today is a new day and I forgave myself ;)

LeanneM83 09-27-2003 10:52 PM

HI Christie and Diana

Good to hear that you both have maintained pretty much the same weight...
I have to laugh at you Diana, I too and VERY busty....BUT, I usually have to wear 2 bras to hold them in place while I run.... But, I know it works...and I have never been a runner until a few years ago...
TOday I weighed in at 185.6 and that makes me very happy. I stupidly weight myself every day..how often are you ladies weighed??? I know I should probably do it every other day or every few days, but I can admit -I am obsessed...
I hope you both are having a wonderful weekend....

Leanne
Now...185.6
Goal 150 by December 1st..

DewCan 09-29-2003 03:16 PM

Hi
Two bras, hmmmm, never thought of that before. :D Being obsessed with the scald can be hard on a person and hard on the weight loss, or at least for me. I weigh once a week. A person's weight fluctuates and if I happen to weigh on a non-scheduled weigh day and find myself up, I get depressed and think the week is shot and I might as well eat, as I messed it up already. That's how I work, so I just weigh on Fridays. Does that even make sense? Sometimes I can just ramble. :dizzy:

Christie, thanks goodness that everyday is a chance to make up for hte day prior. Sorry to hear you had a rough day :(

I've eaten good so far today, but hte day is far from over. I'm working on getting some new exercise videos, maybe that will give me motivation to exericse again. I haven't been exercising at all lately. Christie, have you been going to Curves lately? Leanne, how far can you run now? I just want ot see your progress up to the 10k.
Well, have a great day ;)

Christian 09-29-2003 03:32 PM

Hey there ladies!!

Well I went to Curves and weighed in after my weekend of total lack of self control, and thank the Lord I didnt even gain ;)
I think sometimes we have those times, as women I think at the TOM we are aloud to go nuts

Diana - Glad to see you are doing great today with the eating...I am sure you will do great this week :D

Leanne- 2 bras??? Girl I hardly have need for one ;)
Great job on your running :bravo:

Well guys I better run for now, I have a movie and ff popcorn to munch on....you guys have an awsome day!!!

LeanneM83 09-29-2003 10:56 PM

Well........

Ladies,

TOday is a special day for me....I RAN 6KM today....that is more than I have EVER run in my whole life....I bet I will be sore 2morrow:( but that is fine with me....
Yes, I can admit I have become a bit obsessed with the scale, but I have decided to weigh myself every other day to see if that helps.
Today I helped out at my sons school, and it was the first time since I became pregnant that I didn't feel like everyone was staring at me....I think even though I have 35+ left to lose, I am starting to feel like myself again....you know what I mean...
I SWEAR 2 BRAS beats a sports bra anyday:lol: , Actually I wear a bra AND a sports bra....yes, it looks ridiculus, but I would never be able to run without doing it:sumo:
Christie congrats on maintaining....how much do you want to lose???
Diana-how much do you want to lose...??
Hope you both have a great day..I'll write tomorrow and tell you if my run killed me...that is, if I am able to peel myself off the couch then,.......

DewCan 10-01-2003 03:04 PM

Wow Leanne, you did a great job. That really quite impresses me. I could walk it, but run it, never. To answer your question, I want to lose 51 pounds. If I lost two, then it would be less than 50, yeah, I know, I'm dumb, but whatever I can use to give me a little inspiration.
Christie, great, no gain. I'm glad you went to curves.
Well, baby is screaming, should go :bb:

labradorgirl 10-01-2003 03:08 PM

Hey, I'm new here. And definitely need help. I have been on weight watchers for 3 weeks and haven't lost one pound. That is why I need motivation. I find it difficult to stay on track. I definitely 'need a buddy to push me to follow properly. I love the diet but am I night time eater.
