Linda, glad court went well. :) LOL, I just told another post-er on another thread that popcorn and fries to me are the :devil: Once I start I can't stop. But great NSV ... my son made the seasoned fries last night and each time I went in the kitchen I was gonna get just one, but then I would have had to have ketchup, so another fry and another, then a plate. I was so proud of myself that I didn't eat ONE :) I hope you did well at Doug's :crossed: You know we can take the week part off and keep this one going since it's only two pages and 31 post or the next one since you have already made it. Morning Ladies …well today is my 42nd birthday …hard to believe, lol …dh is taking me out to dinner tonight and after that we’ll probably do some shopping. I’m looking forward to my “eat anything I want” meal, but I know that tomorrow is right back on the low carb train.
Work manager brought in Panera bagels for my birthday …I’ll be nice and have one ( someone REALLY had to make me haha ), but I usually pull out a lot of the middle so not as much carbs ( in my mind ). Rennie and Linda – I was thinking the same thing about the thread, we can just let it go on for a few pages if everyone wants I’ll get back to posting my daily good tomorrow since I’ll be back on …have a great day everyone !!!! |

I got back OP yesterday, but really struggled with hunger all day long. I chewed a LOT of gum! I'm thinking that I did not eat enough protein for breakfast, and that may have thrown off my entire day. I met my goals for steps, tracking, and calories, but I BLEW the one for sodium. Canned tuna killed that. Really trying to improve on that today. Rennie - Great job on avoiding those fries!!! Fries are also a weakness for me. I am used to sampling a few of my son's fries when I get him fast food, and then I finish off what he doesn't eat. (As he gets older, he is more likely to eat everything himself. Linda, my daughter wanted fries the other day from McD's I told her she should have road with her brother instead of me. I can't handle THAT smell in my car right now :D ... Good morning all. Monday is over - Woo hoo!!! Just not a fan of Mondays. And my Monday was weird. At lunchtime a dear friend of mine, who is in the hospital, sent out a message that a nurse had treated her badly and she was inconsolable. (Long story about her health issues and needs..) I felt led to go sit with her and help her deal with the hospital, so that's what I did. Unbelievable how she was treated, but it all worked out okay. Kept me from snacking in the afternoon! I did well OP yesterday - Met my steps goal (with some extra effort), tracked all day, and met my calorie and sodium goals. Time for a new day! Rennie - Way to go on kicking Dukan butt!!!! I don't think that I have been on here long enough to have PM privileges.. Where is everyone else??????? |
Morning everyone …so I’m SOOOOOOO sick today, still full of dinner and dessert last night …I ate way too much and I still feel full this morning …haha …but hey, it was my birthday so what are ya gonna do ? :D:lol::lol:
You know something I’ve noticed ? and this might sound odd …but the few days I was off plan and eating sugar ( which I hadn’t done for six weeks ) and white simple carbs, I started getting aches and pains back that I noticed were totally gone when I wasn’t eating those things …I really think it’s the sugar …I know everyone says it’s so bad for you, but I’ll still have occasionally, but I do think it makes a big difference in how I feel …I mean joint aches are back that I really shouldn’t have at this age ( well maybe have some due to extra weight maybe ) …but I’m glad to be back on plan today to get back to feeling better again once it all gets out of my system…although how I’m feeling right now I’m not sure I can eat today, haha :barf: Linda – I’m like that too, if I don’t eat enough protein at breakfast I’m hungry all day and struggle …great job though on getting thru the struggle and still meeting most of your goals…I’m bad at the sodium thing, need to cut it down, sometimes I get some swelling in my ankles at the end of the day …thanks for the birthday wish, I had a good one. :hat: Terra1984 and Dcapulet – welcome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :welcome2: Rennie – thanks for the birthday wish …glad you are seeing success on the Dukan, I hope your coworker does join you, always so much more helpful to have a partner to keep you accountable. I am thinking I shouldn't weigh myself this Saturday either ...I think it would just cause me more stress because I'm probably gonna be up some pounds due to these last four days, and I need to just focus on getting back in the groove

I did so-so OP yesterday. I tracked all day and met my calorie goal, but I fell a bit short of my step goal and blew the sodium out of the water... But today is a new day and I will nail it all today! Carri - I have read about others who have said the same thing about the way that sugar makes them feel. If you are able to identify something that makes you feel bad and are able to limit it in your diet, that is great!!!! I don't eat tons of sweets and sugar, but I do enjoy some.. So what did you have for your birthday dinner????? Where is everyone????? |
Morning All ...I had a good OP day yesterday, was able to get right back on the horse, so to speak. :cool: I think it will take a few days to actually feel good again but I can do it.
Linda - We went to Olive Garden for my birthday ...normally we go to a fancy steak house or something but all I was craving was CARBS !!! pasta and bread, I had to have it ...I ended up getting their fetticini alfredo and by the time my entree got to me I had eaten so many breadsticks I could barely eat, haha ...I finished off the night with chocolate cake and ice cream ...mmmmm, it was all good ...but now I'm back on ...I won't have another "cheat" meal until our anniversary, which is the first week of November. I also way blew it on the sodium yesterday, had chicken wings ...I'm still thirsty from all the salt Hi Rennie and Kate, and everyone else !! And Happy October !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this month !! A couple of the girls here at work want to take me to a belated birthday lunch, we are going to a local mexican place ...I'm just gonna get the chicken fajitas probably and eat them without tortillas ...or maybe one corn one ...either way it'll be tasty and free, lol You all have a great day !!! |

Carri, I haven't had that happen in a long while. But I do remember still feeling full from the evening before. Hope you have some relief now :hug: It could very well be the sugar. It does other bad things to the body so the aches and pains could be from it. Sodium is my issue also along with the carbs of course. I only notice it in my hands though with my rings. My co-worker is supposed to read over the Attack Phase of the book this weekend. I gave her my number so when she is ready she can let me know :). I'm also doing a most weight loss in October with a 3FCer. I spent all of August and September trying to get where she is now and now we are gonna see who can keep it going this month. Should be fun, hoping I do well :crossed: But you're right nothing like having someone near you doing the same thing on this journey :) LOL Carri, re: Olive Garden breadsticks. I do that with the salad mainly. They bread starts to make me feel guilty right away after one. But did you know their house dressing is like 250-300 calories? I read that somewhere, but I feel like it's still veggies so whatever :D Yes tasty and free. :) Hope you enjoyed your Mexican lunch without worry :crossed: I'm up .9 since 9/30. Yesterday was a so-so OP day for me. I tracked faithfully and got over 10,000 steps, so that was good! I went over just a bit on calories due to some snacking at bedtime. And I totally blew the sodium thing out of the water.. (I finished up the offending tuna salad from earlier in the week, then just had to have extra sauce on my stir fry....) Thanks to the sodium I was horribly thirsty last evening, so I drank a lot. And because I drank a lot, I was up and down to the bathroom all night. A vicious cycle.. But that stir fry sure was tasty... Olive Garden... Yum... I crave spaghetti sometimes, and when I do break down and make it I try to use ground turkey and lots of veggies in it. The pasta calories kill be tho. Love that stuff!! Have a great day!!!!!! Linda |

I did REALLY bad at the Mexican belated bday lunch with the girls yesterday, I totally went off plan , which isn’t good considering I just went back on plan after three days off…oh well today is another day, and I had fun. :ink::ink::T Rennie – up 0.9 isn’t bad, I’d be so afraid to jump on my scale right now …I’m sure I’m up 2-3, so I’ll stay off of it again this weekend. And yes I love Olive Garden’s salad too …I had so much of it and the breadsticks before my food came, that was my issue …but I do just love that salad dressing …I buy it at the store sometimes and make the salad at home, that way I can measure the 2T of dressing…I don’t think it tastes as good as when you have it there but it’s still good. Linda – I agree, TGIF !!! :cb::cp: I get off at noon today because I have a hair appt …nothing big , just putting some highlights back in and a trim …I may be an oddball but I actually hate getting my hair done, takes like two hours of just sitting there and I find that so annoying, just want to get up and out of there, haha …Yes, I love spaghetti ( any pasta really ), and I crave it sometimes, just a big ol plate with some meat sauce and garlic bread. :hun: I get up a lot to go at night too …I’m just sort of used to it now …I tend to drink a lot of water right before bed…guess I should cut myself off at 8:00 like I do the dog, haha :rofl: Like I said above, I won’t weigh myself this Saturday, been too bad this week and don’t want to see …but I have hopes for next Saturday, lol … You all have a great weekend, I’ll try to check back in but I might get too busy …we’re buying paint for the outside of the house and may be doing some of that if the weather will cooperate …it’s a beautiful Fall sunny day here, nice and cool …but really windy which kind of stinks. OMGoodness, Carri, they sell Olive Garden salad dressing? Which store? :drool: Are you talking about the Greek dressings? I love the one by Kraft, yum. LOL on cutting yourself off at 8pm :) Enjoy the sun it's been raining here forever it seems :)
