Default What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

I am so frustrated and don't understand why I am not losing weight. I've been going to the gym for months now and cut down and counted my calories and have not lost a single pound. What is going on? I even decided to go low/no carb and still when I go to weight myself the scale doesn't move. I'm ready to give up but I can't because I have an upcoming vacation and I want to lose some weight. Can someone please share any tips and advice on what can boost my weightloss? I don't what else to do. Thanks.

are you measuring yourself? I am in the same boat and I think some of it is my age (40's, losing was so easy in my 20's...) but I am losing inches (well, inch), my cardiovascular fitness is much improved and I can feel my legs shaping up.
The scale, however, not moving.

You could go visit your doctor to have them rule out any medical issues that might be causing it.

No tips, just commiseration!

According to my fitness trainer, she told me not to focus too much on the lbs because if your going to the gym, muscles are taking the place of fat. Maybe your shedding fat but gaining muscle?

Unless you are doing a lot of heavy lifting, you are not building muscle at the gym. Try changing up your workout and also what you eat. Post a typical day's menu and let us see if we can help you with that.
