I think if we're gonna whine, we need to all do it at the same time.

We could have a whining fugue.. with ExH themes, ungrateful DS's and DD's, house repairmen who are NOT as cute as the UPS guys... (or gals, depending on your preference)....

Sug: the weight fluctuations are related to water retention -- but I'm sure you knew THAT. The deal is that sugars provide the equivalent of empty water jugs just waiting to grab water weight....
So if you get rid of the sugar/jugs, the water goes away, too.... and you burn fat (instead of storing fresh sugar)... then the water weight is gone and you actually lose fat.

My late afternoon nap and later evening workout have NOT been conducive to getting to bed reasonably early.... but I better get going. I have people to help in the morning....
Oh, and gardening to do in the afternoon... I don't have afternoon clients and I can pull weeds, listen to the birds and plan what to do with the flower bed in which the snap dragons (or something) just keeled over and died.
But my gladiolas are blooming. Yahoo!!
