I went back to Weight Watchers yesterday (after 2 years "off" and a 30-lb. weight gain!! :( ) and am ready to start "fresh" today.
I'd like to join the 4th of July challenge!! My goal is to lose 1 1/2 pound each week, for a total of about 8 lbs. I know that isn't much, but it's better than gaining, if I can do it! Thanks, Cheryl |

Cheryl I am glad that you went back to ww. It is a good program.
Just putting in my 2 cents.....I would like to lose 5 pounds by July 4. I stayed the same last challenge but I feel I lost weight. It just shifted around with all the weights that I am doing at the gym. |
I am trying to lose some pounds but the scale is not budging. It has been that way for a few weeks now. I know that I am building some muscle but please let the scale go down.

June 1 - 128 lbs. Gained 1 lb, but that's okay. Maintaining to me means going up and down by 3 lbs. during the month!!

Sunday June 1st:
Well the scales wasn't good to me! I GAINED 1 lb!! :( Could it be building muscle from walking? My eating hasn't changed and all I drink is WATER!!! Oh well...maybe next week! March 17th: 191 June 1st: 173 18 lbs. down 4th of July Goal: 10 lbs!!!! |
Sherry - Don't worry! You're about due for a plateau that will last a week or two. If you don't lose next week, rachet your exercise up a notch to throw your body off. It's getting comfortable.

Put me down for 10 pounds girls. I have basically stayed the same over the past two challenges due to my lack of motivation and the "I don't care" attitude.
Sher: I bet with all of the running around and wedding yesterday, you didn't drink as much water as usual. "Kick it up a notch" and drink more water this week. I bet you will drop the pound plus more! It's my understanding too, that when you exercise, the muscle will retain fluid, appearing like a weight gain on the scale. Cheryl: Good luch with WW's!!! Weigh-in day: Up 3 lbs. to 223. I attribute most of it to the fact that I lost 5 last week. Usually if I have an overly-large loss, I have a gain the next week.
I would like to lose 2 of it this week, though, and 2 next. That will put me one pound shy of my birthday goal, but I will be okay with that. |

Is there were I post the food I eat. Anyway here goes.
Breakfast: 1/2 c Fiber One, 1/2 cup skim milk and strawberries on top. This will add up to appox. 120 calories. For those of you who think this is not enough, I usually get hungry before lunch and have a snack. Something like fruit, graham crackers/animal crackers. Yesterday I had watermelon that someone brought in to work! I find myself eating mini snacks between meals if I get hungry, but I always watch the calories. I will let you know the rest of my food consumption for the rest of the day tonight. I also weigh in tomorrow, so I will let you know I how I did this last week! Hugs Carol |

Here is my full list of what I have eaten today so far:
Breakfast: 1/2 c Fiber One 1/2 c. skim milk 2 Extra large Strawberries Snack: Graham crackers Lunch: 1 Chicken & vegetable fajita Snack: 1/2 M & M Brownie ice cream bar (see I eat things that are not healthy for me. :lol: Dinner: WW Smart Ones Ravioli Forentine small salad with fat free dressing So far I have eaten approximately 1000 calories. That still leaves me enough for a snack before bed. I will probably have some sugar free jello with whipping cream. yum-yum. Some days I feel like I am eating all day. It is all about portion control and making the right food choices. Carol |
Carol, I think that it's been proven (although don't ask me when or by whom :) ) that it's better to eat a lot of small meals, or snacks throughout the day when you're trying to lose weight. I know that if I go without snacking, I'm way more likely to binge when I get home in the evening.

I'm up another pound this week. Looks like I'm not going to meet my birthday challenge. I've never met a challenge. I feel like a total failure. :cry:

Finally after 4 weeks of staying the same I'm losing again. Jennelle!!!! Don't talk that way!! You are not a failure! You know, you may be gaining weight, instead of losing, if you aren't eating enough. I used to gain everytime I went on a diet because I would cut back on the food too much!!
Debbie CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 pounds is GREAT!!!! Sherry, can't wait till I hit that 20-lb. mark. It'll be forever, though!! Weigh-in is tonight! Wish me luck! I weighted myself this morning and I am down another pound. Probably sweated it off with the fever....lol
Debbie I am glad that you didn't give up. See just hang in there and it comes off. Sherry wow over the 20 pound mark. You must look and feel great. Jennelle hang in there. Don't get discoraged. It is a life time battle. One day at a time. Carol you are doing great. How much more would you like to lose? Cheryl don't you feel so much better about yourself when you have control of your eatting. I know I do. |

This isn't my weigh in day, but I wanted to tell you Sherry to hang in there. You are doing great. We all have ups and downs and stay the same for a period of time. Don't get discourage. 20 lbs is a great Feat!!! Don't you dare minimize it!!! I love you and I know you are going to get below that mark of 171 on your scale. Maybe you should measure yourself and see if there is a difference there. You are probalby losing inches!! Love & Hugs Carol |
Up another two lbs., to 226. It's not as bad as I thought, and it's definitely salvageable! I really used the trip, my anniversary, and my birthday as excuses to get off track.
I'm going to try the "Wendi Plan" this week. |

Weigh in day for me. Not as exciting... I am only down 1 lb. But I am glad for that. I did cheat a bit this week, so now I have to get back OP 100% to keep that downward trend going.

Cheryl don't get discouraged, it is only numbers on a scale. You will do it.
Carol can you imagine how much more you will lose this week if you get out there and exercise! It will help tone you up too. Jennelle it is ok to take a few days off for celebrations but now it is back to it girl. I always eat what I want on special occassions because that is part of living. Shelley are you maintaining now? How many fudgeicles (sp? you can tell I don't eat them) today? Sherry how are you doing are you back at it? You are the one that motivated me so please don't give up, I need you to keep me going. Debbie your picture looks great. How are you doing on program? Won't be long before that sand is in your crack! Well girls since sometime in March, don't remember when I would have to look back.......I lost 15 pounds! Thanks to the 3 day diet and being sick since Jamaica I have lost 5.5 pounds in two weeks. I usually can only lose a pound a week. |

Dee--gawl--lee!!!!!!!!!!!! 15 pounds since March! That's a great loss! And it's not so drastic that it can all be attributed to you being under-the-weather. Keep up the good work, girlfriend! Sherry--yummmm, fudgecicles......I get the fat free kind from Kroger. They're great! But I still eat way too many of them! How're you doin' Carol? Exercising any yet? Shelley--Wish I weighed 129!!
