Morning all. Back to work today.
Mel - Hope the dr's visit happens today and that he has time to see Jen as well. Nothing like surprise doc visits!!

Good you mended fences with the alarm guy, and I hope you two can get to the bottom of the problems with the alarms if it isn’t the batteries. Mel you have a good point about the roomy clothes – I’ve worn a close-fitting jacket a few times the past few weeks and it’s painful on the bum shoulder to get into it, so now I can appreciate the preference for roomy/stretchy clothes!!!
Ceejay - Great news that you don't have pneumonia!! What a relief that must be to you!! But now you’ll forever more have to explain the scar tissue that shows up on your x-rays, like Annie does?? Re the dogwalks by the creek – it is a nice place to walk – lots of trees and grass so doggy loves it. I like to pretend we’re out in the middle of nowhere, but it’s only a couple blocks from home so there’s still the traffic sounds and we’re within sight of the surrounding residential streets – the peace is limited, lol. Enjoy your weekend!!
Annie – Too bad you didn’t get to the movie. Our group makes large orders of discounted movie tickets from the AMC chain and they are $6, and we split the shipping cost, which is practically nothing once you spread it across 100 tickets (there are probably a dozen people who order the tickets together). These tickets restrict you from seeing new releases – have to wait until it’s been out 10 days, but that usually doesn’t bug me. I wouldn't go very often at all if I had to pay $10+!! Hope the spat with the co-worker got resolved, and that your time in Louisville with your new boss is productive and comes out well for you.
Shad – Granny Crime, LOL. Funny what catches your eye now, huh? Now you sound like you’re on your usually assignment – busy, busy, busy. Enjoy your weekend at home.
Happy – Sorry your insurance is such an expensive PITA! When you’re considering skipping a test that would hopefully put your mind at ease about the lung thing, that is not a good thing. Yay you have the rest of the week off to spend with your mother! I hope you have fun getting out and about with her. So cute she raids your closet.

Heck, at this point in her life, why not wear baggy comfy clothes?? I didn’t think the curry cooked long enough, and while I was at the movie, bf turned off the cooker and never added the coconut milk until much later after I dished some up for myself and finally realized it was missing. I ended up putting my serving back in the cooker uneaten. Last night we had leftovers, so tonight we’ll put the cooker back on for a couple hours and see how it comes out. Re the pear – I got the idea from when our family used to do the same with apples, except I didn’t have any cool whip to dollop on top. And that doesn’t seem to appeal to me anymore anyway.
Ellen – Sure hope you haven’t caught whatever the kids pick up at school. Must be a major victory when you don’t because it would seem the deck is stacked against you with 3 kids being exposed to it all and bringing it home.
Michelle – Hope work calms down a bit, but it’s good you’re busy and have minimum time to dwell on the packing/moving, etc.

The movie “Looper” was good. I’m not a big sci-fi/time travel geek and I was still able to follow it – the movie was good with the explanations. If you like that kind of thing, you’ll like this. Apparently Joseph Gordon Leavitt spent hours each day being made up to look more like Bruce Willis, who plays his older self in the movie. I don’t see why that was necessary, but he did look more handsome and mature than he usually does – they gave him lighter colored eyes and they looked good on him, LOL.
The doc appoint yesterday morning was fine. The doc took x-rays, and nothing showed up, as expected. He is a very no-nonsense, down to earth guy who just thinks I need to work on my range of motion. Said my situation isn’t bad like it could be for an older or diabetic person (for some reason, diabetics have more trouble with this type of injury). My shoulder isn’t “frozen”, so no outside PT other than bf helping me work the shoulder. I’d been avoiding doing too much with it because of the pain and worrying about making things worse, but there is nothing to make worse, just some remaining inflammation that he advised I can just take aleve or advil for. No rx, how refreshing. Also as expected, the elbow is tendonitis aka “tennis elbow” and all I can do about that is rest it. So no gripping/lifting type moves. I jokingly mentioned lifting my heavy purse and he said it’s a good time to clean it out, lol.
The rest of yesterday was lunch at an Asian buffet that also has a grill that will cook up a plate of the ingredients you choose. It was fine. After that was shopping with bf, the library, and a dog walk. We watched the dvd movie “Take Shelter”, and it was pretty good and had a great cast, but the ending wasn’t all that satisfactory to us.
Tonight I might go to a circuit class. Have to modify the weight moves for the elbow & shoulder...
Okay, back to catching up on the e-mails that piled up while I was gone. Bleh.
