Weight Loss Buddies X

Ok Ladies, I need to get back on track. Before my back surgery and pregnancy with my twin girls, my lowest weight was 197. Right now I'm over 250 (gained A LOT with my pregnancy), was 294 right before I delivered. I was on modified bedrest at 28 weeks, and full bedrest at 36...so no walking, nothing. So, I am literally starting all over again.

Not sure how I'm going to do it this time...I don't have my trainer...he moved! :( Guess I will be relying on you all to help keep me accountable. I will probably do what I did last time...work on my eating first, then begin the exercise. I'm breastfeeding my twin girls, so that limits how often I can really work out...plus my chest feels so darn heavy all the time, not sure how I will get on the elliptical.

What are your plans this time around???

burgundyrayne 07-31-2012 08:01 PM

I've been trying my best to get back on track but have had some dental work done lately, so I eat what I can when I can. I've been doing zumba and walking. Not sure what plan to go with this time, but I have to find something I like. I hate having the extra lbs back

NewMommy1980 07-31-2012 09:26 PM

Welcome Vicki! I can certainly relate. I just had a baby, too, and I gained a ton of weight. I'm the heaviest I've ever been and I, too, am starting all over again. I also know exactly what you mean when you say your chest is too heavy for exercise! Same here! I can't even fit into my old sports bras, so I have to wear 2 bras to get some support while I work out. I definitely think you should start exercising as soon as you can. It will help with the endorphins, give you energy and make you feel good. It's the one time I can get out of the house during the week and have my "me" time - without the baby, without the laundry and all the other stuff I have to do at home. Even if you can squeeze in just 20 minutes a day - it will make all the difference! (At least that's what a trainer at the gym told me!)

As for me and my plan, I'm doing a remote patient program with a doctor based out of Beverly Hills. He sees patients from all over the US - you can do a telephone consult by phone and he creates a unique plan for you based on your body, metabloism and what your weight loss goals are. He is very understanding, encouraging and understands all of us are different and need different things. Whether that's appetite suppressants, lipotropics injections, meal replacement programs, etc. It's pretty thorough.

NewMommy1980 07-31-2012 09:27 PM

PM me if you want his info!

luckylindy 08-01-2012 12:33 PM

Hey girls! Thanks for sending me the info!

I am starting over but not to the extreme. I lost 50 pounds before and put 25 back on. I got into a new steady relationship and well....thats what happens. I weighed in at 195 this past Saturday and will weigh in each week on Saturday mornings.

This time around, because my social calendar is sooooo hectic and the kids will be starting up softball/baseball again..I am going the Atkins route. No measuring or counting, just eating a whole lot of meat and watching what carbs I do take in (after induction). The standard for induction is 2 weeks, I may try to push it to 3 weeks if Im not struggling. So far so good but then again, its only day 3, lol.

You guys have some serious hurdles and road blocks to overcome but Ill push ya all the way through! :-) Good luck ladies, Ill try to check in at least once a day.

NewMommy1980 08-01-2012 01:43 PM

Thanks luckylindy! Question...what is induction?

luckylindy 08-01-2012 03:58 PM

Induction is the first 2 weeks of the Atkins diet, it goes is phases....induction, 2, 3, OWL.

Anyway, its the most strict part of the Atkins diet. You cannot go over 20g of carbs a day and it really is mainly protein, lots of eggs, chicken, seafood, and beef. The only carbs one should be eating is from green veggies such as salad and broccoli. Im NEVER hungry so I think this program may be a good fit for me. :-)

luckylindy 08-02-2012 09:15 AM

So....its towards the end of the week....how is everyone doing?

Me, pretty good! The amazing thing about this is I stopped craving sweets all together, NEVER want them. I made peanut butter cookies for the kiddos last night and cinnabuns for breakfast this morning and it didnt faze me in the slightest.

The only downfall, I have crazy headaches, which I read is common and will go away after a week but still, I come home and want to sleep away the headache. Dinner last night was delicious and I am going to have the same today....naked chicken wings tossed in franks hot sauce with bleu cheese dressing....um, YES, this is my diet, crazy, lol.

Are you guys having any challenges?

MaddiesMom 08-02-2012 07:54 PM

My challenge is that I don't have time to really make myself food...the girls consume my time and then the down time I do have, I spend breast feeding or pumping to increase supply for when I return to work. I really need to get myself in gear. I will be doing the shopping this weekend and get super healthy foods...the hubby has been doing the shopping since I was 28 weeks. It's hard to get motivated when caring for 9 week old twins and a 4 year old and getting no sleep. I get 5 hours of sleep a night...going to take some time getting used to my new schedule. Really hard when I will return to work in 2 weeks. Ugh. This is gonna be tough.

twinmom140 08-02-2012 11:29 PM

I am twin mom too. I know it is tough to get time I between to workout but take it easy do some simple workouts at home until you go back to work. I am trying myself to lose over 50 pounds that I gained during preg and after my twins will be 2 .i need some motivation

luckylindy 08-03-2012 11:06 AM

Keep your head up girls. Although I do not have babies or twins, I do have 3 kids (now, lol, my way of my boyfriends two). It takes baby steps. Do the grocery shopping first, then pack healthy snacks a week in advance. One of the things that I started doing with this "diet" *hiss**gasp*....ahem, "lifestyle change" is making a lot of my meals on Sunday's, ie: I make mini quiche with egg, cheese and sausage, and then freeze them in individual baggies. That way I just grab them from the freezer when I first wake up, throw them in microwave at work, and then eat them at my desk. Just a thought? I know, I know...easier said than done.

Im going to touch on my TMI moment....warning, warning.

I got TOM yesterday, except, heres the problem...I have not gotten TOM in 9 years! Needless to say, I am a big baby not having dealt with this in so long. I have not worked out but 2 days this week and this just adds to my fall. I also want to weigh in tomorrow but as I did with my previous weight loss, if I feel bloated on weigh in date, I wait, to avoid frustration.

I am amazed that I am not missing carbs in the slightest. The headaches have also subsided. I am craving soda like **** but I can deal with it. I am suppose to go out to Macaroni Grill for lunch today. I have been going over the menu ALL MORNING and realized, just how bad the carb count is in EVERYTHING, even salad! But then again, this IS an Italian restaurant. I dont want to make my friends suffer for my diet restrictions.

NewMommy1980 08-03-2012 01:02 PM

Thanks for the explanation of induction :)

Vicky, you can do it! Don't feel overwhelmed, just take one step at a time. Do the twins go in day care? hope you don't mind me asking, but I'll need to make a decision soon on what do with my baby while I work. Luckily I can work from home right now, but that won't be forever.

burgundyrayne 08-03-2012 04:03 PM

OK so I weighed this morning and updated the ticker, ugh!!!!! Not happy at all about those numbers, but ladies we've done this before and I know we will do it again.

Lindy(kinda weird calling you that now, lol) I thought it was bad that I haven't had TOM in 3 months and got it the other day. I couldn't imagine going 9 years.

My dental work is all done for a few months. I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out but the surgeon at aspen dental wouldnt do it because the root of one was too close to my jawbone and he was afraid he would fracture my jaw and have to send me to the er. Now I have to wait til September to see another oral surgeon. Only one of them gives me problems, I was really hoping to get them out.

Give me some motivation, gotta at least get up and walk

luckylindy 08-06-2012 09:44 AM

Burgundy...that is so funny because we know each other's "real names" from facebook. lol. So now you have some time to buy since you are not getting dental work, that being said, what program are you putting in place to take this weight off?

I do my walk every morning, for a while there I had to switch to bike riding because I was getting bored and found that to be good change. Today I started walking again and enjoyed it. I guess I just have to keep it fresh, besides, the different changes are all good for the body. I am signing up Gabriella for swimming next week, ok...funny story, when I was Gabriella's age, up until 14 I was on a swim team that trained for the Olympics (not everyone on the team was chosen, but I was one that they were "grooming"), anyway, this whole Olympic thing got me on memory lane and I was telling Gab, and so now she wants to try it, lol. I could care less about training her for the Olympics but if it could help towards a scholarship, that would be awesome. Im also hoping it helps me get back in the pool. :-) She is also in running club and if I had the resilence she has, Id be good, lol.
Burgundy, start out small, park your car in the farthest place possible and walk, thats how it all began for me.

Ok, NOW FOR THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! I weighed myself this week and lost 10 pounds in my first week on Atkins! Woot woot! I know its just the big "flush" but I am seriously happy. Even if its 2 pounds each week moving forward, I would be happy with that.

I have a new goal in mind. My birthday weekend in January 20th and we will be on a cruise with 8 other cabin of friends and family, so I would like to be 150 by that cruise. It would be my most aggressive goal to date but the Atkins diet is soooooo easy, I dont see any problems.

What is everyone else's goals? Short term/long term?

burgundyrayne 08-07-2012 07:27 PM

Lindy-im not really following "a plan". Just cutting out most carbs and drinking a ton of water. I walk almost everyday, gonna start adding some running in soon and I do zumba on wii. There's also a place close to where I live called lumber mans monument, there are 276 stairs there so I go down and climb back up and try to do it twice. Its hard work.

Congrats on 10 lbs. That is fantastic. I would be happy with 2 lbs a week too. Good luck, I know you can do it. You are a machine. We can both get to 150 by January!!!!!!

Vicky where are you? How are those babies?

luckylindy 08-08-2012 11:06 AM

Yes! I think 150 by January is reasonable goals, even if I fell shy, Id be ok with 160, lol.

I WISH we had something like that here, the stairs I mean. I could take the stairs at work but people would look at me like Im nuts and I always do better in an outdoor environment.

What is everyones weigh in days? And whats on the menu for the day?

luckylindy 08-08-2012 02:24 PM

I would say today is my toughest day since starting this weight loss program a week and a half ago. Not a "Im gonna give up day" but just a "I want to go to sleep and be done with today". I feel very tired and dizzy. I believe this is a result of me drinking a cup of black coffee, of which, I am not a coffee drinker at all but I was hoping it would held as a ahem, "dieretic".

Im also extremely hungry and did not pack any snacks today in my moment of daze this morning. Just struggling all together. I have a job interview tomorrow for a part time job, fingers crossed. I wouldnt be heart broken if I didnt get it because Im kinda afraid of trying to work 2 jobs while taking care of a family of 5 but my DBF was laid off and we are tight on money and this is only a seasonal job for Halloween, so I figure...Hey, I can do this for 6 weeks - I think. :-? lol

burgundyrayne 08-08-2012 09:59 PM

OK so we have some work to do to get to 150. The stairs are awesome. I think I posted some pics of them on Facebook. I love going there. There's a big sand hill at the same place. That really gets the heart pumping climbing that thing. God luck with the job interview.

I got in a about 2 and a half miles today. Yesterday I went about 3. Gotta add in more exercise. I'm trying to stay away from the scale except once a week. Why is that so hard for me?

BelleinAsia 08-09-2012 05:47 AM

Hi everyone, I'm sort of new - joined ages ago but haven't been on the site since 08!

I am an American expat in England (after years in Asia and France). In my early-mid 20s I was at my heaviest (I am 42 now) and got to goal through hard work and a strict diet. After my daughter was born, I've gained and lost the same 15-20 pounds several times - she is 14. I really do despair that I will never be able to keep it off!

2 weeks ago, I decided to give up all sugary drinks (I was having sugary tea a couple of times a day). I've also cut out processed foods and joined the gym. I've been several times (5 to be exact), but I am finding it hard to motivate myself to really puch when I'm there. I've just ordered a Zumba DVD and after my cardio fitness is a little better, I'll join a class.

I am 5'4" and 147lbs - I would like to lose 20lbs, but would be happy with 15.

Would love to find support (I am a great weight loss buddy - better at giving advice than doing it myself - LOL). ~MJ

Sugar candy 08-09-2012 09:32 AM

I need support

Just starting to diet, but I need some diet buddies. Anyone interested please. I am happy , fun and get along with others. But I need some help to get going. thank you sugar candy.;);)

luckylindy 08-09-2012 11:26 AM

Hi Belle and Sugar!

You can absolutely join this group!

Belle...you are doing ALL the right things! My profile says Im 5'5 but I need to change that to 5"4, so we are the same height. Oh what I wouldnt give to be 147 *sigh* SOON I HOPE! I struggle with exercising at home, I need a workout buddy in order to stay consistant. Have you tried P90x? I did that with a friend for 90 days and it totally changed my body. Strangely, I didnt lose weight but I sure lost inches! Do you have anyone you can work out with?

Sugar....we are an awesome group that actually has reunited from a couple years ago, its pretty cool. What is your program?

So what are your goals ladies and where are your tickers??? haha :-p

So, some good news....I got through yesterday, no cheating - thank god. Today I am starving! But Im going to get lunch now and take care of that little problem, lol. On another awesome note - I GOT THE JOB! And more than ever, Im dedicated because of the position because I, duh duh duh...am a shot girl for Halloween Horror Nights! Yikes! I have a regular fulltime job but my DBF was laid off and we need extra money.

Ok, Ill catch up later!

MaddiesMom 08-10-2012 11:17 AM

Burgundy : still around, just super busy. I used to think losing weight was the hardest thing to do...boy was I wrong! It's taking care of multiples! If I'm not feeding them, I am pumping to create a supply for when I go back to work, or I am attempting to get some sleep...which is a luxury now. How are you doing workout wise? Getting back on track?

Lindy: YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR! That is awesome. I definitely think you can make your goal...you have a cruise to look forward to! I saw that FB post and was totally jealous. :)

NewMommy: my girls will be going to daycare. My first daughter was at an athome licensed daycare for her first 2 years...I will be taking the twins to that same daycare. When they are 2, I will move them to the public daycare my oldest is currently at so they can get structure and be around kids their own age.

Doing ok eating wise...bought super healthy food at the store, and with the girls, it's not easy to go out...even through a drive thru. Going to weigh myself tomorrow. Just have to keep the sweet tooth incheck. I have spoken to quite a few multiple moms who said that their craving of sweets increased with breastfeeding multiples. Plus I have to eat extra calories to keep my supply up, just have to make sure it's from good foods.

Fuuny thing: my sister in law is preggo too! Expecting a girl in Oct...lots of estrogen in our family. Having her baby shower tomorrow.

luckylindy 08-10-2012 01:54 PM

Maddiesmom (so weird to say that, lol) - where there is a babyshower, there is cake! lol...be weary of it with that sweet tooth of yours. Glad you can check in. I understand that you life is probably so crazy and its not going to get any easier going back to work *hugs* Keep your head up and continue to do the healthy eating. I breastfed my daughter and I think it contributed to my weightloss quite a bit. Sadly, I was at my highest weight, one year after she was born, lol.

I want to know if any of you have trouble from your significant others when it comes to eating. Mine is a complete pain. He tries....sometimes....but he really is making it harder than it needs to be, especially this week. Grrrr.

I hopped on the scale today, which my weigh in day Saturday's normally but I put on a pair of jeans and they felt awfully snug. I have not lost a pound this week. Im ok with it, really. Considering my 10 pound lost in one week, Ive lost more in one week than I have in 6 months. Im suppose to be done with induction on Sunday but I may carry it over one more week in hopes I can lost a couple more pounds. If I can be down 15 by labor day, that would be a major accomplisment.

So...besides Maddiesmom doing the shower. Does anyone else have anything fun planned this weekend? Me and the BDF are kid free tomorrow so we are going to go to the marina and hang out, then maybe a movie in the evening - yay. :-)

MaddiesMom 08-11-2012 10:42 PM

Forgot to do my weigh in todsy...was running around from the time I woke up to the time I had to keave for the baby shower. Ate well...salad, opted for lemon chicken instead of pasta. I did have dessert..a small piece of tiramisu. Could have been a lot worse.

Had a picture with my sister in law and I feel like I look ginormous. I know I kinda have to get over it...I mean, I just had twins. At my last doc visit before having the girls, I weighed 294 and I've lost over 40 since then..which is babies, extra fluid, etc, but I would like to think there's some weight too. Being out of commission is rough. Feeling down that I have to start all over: back pain, knee pain, sciatica...all the problems that I had when I was overweight. Looking on the brighter side, I weigh less now than I did when I started my journey before. Just have to get more motivated...and actually get some sleep as well.

luckylindy 08-13-2012 12:22 PM

Hey Maddiesmom...the issues you are having now are just a reminder of why you want to get to goal, and the sooner the better. :-) Sleep is sooooo important to weight loss and I know that might be one of the biggest struggles of all, so just put emphasis on that (when possible) and keep it movin'. :-) The weight came on in 9 months, its not going to come off in 3...:-) You did it once, you will surely do it again. :-)

Welp, I didnt lose any weight this week. My weigh in date is on Saturday's and my weight on Saturday was still 186. I weighed in today and I was up 2 pounds....188 but I'm not recording it because it is likely water weight and its not an official way in day. I felt bloated so I felt the need to check on myself. I also cheated yesterday. :-( On a "normal" diet, cheating can be forgiven, on Atkins, I throw my body out of ketosis and it takes DAYS to get back to ketosis so Im really frustrated with myself over that. Nothing I can do about it except keep watching what I am eating.

Feeling tired and lethargic, likely from the sugar high I had yesterday, so I just want to get through this day and go home and relax.

luckylindy 08-15-2012 01:29 PM

Just checking in. I am a little frustrated right now. I am up 2 pounds, with a total of 10 pounds still lost in 2 and half weeks. The issue is...thats water weight and those 10 came off in the first week! I do not understand how me cutting out pasta, bread, rice, cakes, ice cream, etc. has not resulted in a large loss, it just really baffles my mind. I am promising to stick with this change in eating for 6 weeks, BUT if I go up more than 5 pounds, its all off the table.

burgundyrayne 08-19-2012 08:33 PM

OK been MIA for a bit, but staying on track for the most part. My pup was sick all week. Took him to the vet 3 times. He had to stay overnight one night. He is finally better and back to his hyper little self. Then i helped my aunt with vbs at her church. I did all the crafts with the kids. That was fun. Had a birthday party today and i did have cake so i walked and walked to burn those calories. I have actually stayed off the scale this week. Me and 2 friends started 100 miles in 30 day challenge today. Day 1 I got in 6 miles.

How is everyone doing today?

luckylindy 08-20-2012 09:51 AM

Burgundy - I love that challenge! Good for you!

Im doing ok. I am in week 4 of Atkins and only down 8 pounds, I was down 10 but gained 2 my second week and have not been able to rebound from that. The one thing I did differrently in weeks 2 and 3 was have artificial sweetner, so I am wondering if that halted my weight loss? Anyway, I am going to try and go the whole week with no sweetner and see if that helps. If it doesnt, I may have to switch to another diet because honestly....eating nothing but meat and fat for 4 weeks is not as great as I thought in my first week, especially if the scale isnt moving. Grrrr. I also start working out today at the gym. Mycousin is sending me a new set of P90x (mine was stolen by someone I let borrow and I have asked for them seriously....like 10 times and they keep "forgetting". Another....grrrr. Anyway, I would like to see some extreme results by cruise time and I did 90 days of P90x before so hopefully I have the mojo to do it.

So, how are we going to hold ourselves more accountable? What are we going to do to "offset" our slip ups?

Mine...if I eat too much, I will offset it by doing Just Dance for 30 minutes. Its something that I enjoy and something I can do even if it is raining.

burgundyrayne 08-20-2012 04:42 PM

Lindy-is there a lot of floor work with p90x? I have tailbone problems and can't do much floor work but have always been interested in p90x. I don't think I could make it just eating meat and fats. You have so much willpower. I love the idea of doing just dance, I love that game too. Have you tried zumba on wii? I love zumba 2.

Gonna get out and walk at least 5 miles today. Gotta take the dogs first then bring them home and go again. Gotta beat the other girls on daily mileage. Its a race to the finish. My competitive side comes out;)

unpregnantmomma2011 08-20-2012 04:59 PM

Hey Ladies!

I'm going to get back on track by cutting everything in half over the next 2 weeks. I have an OB visit to motivate me! My weigh in won't be until the
29th.

Today is my 2nd day cutting everything in half at meals and having 100-150 calorie snacks in between with all the fruits and veggies I want. I habitually eat too late so I'm preparing dinner at 5:30pm, and trying not to think of lunch and dinner as buffet portions!

After losing 10lbs on Jenny Craig, I know this will work for me. I just need to be serious about it. Jenny Craig was only awesome because I didn't have to prepare anything.

I'll definitely be a buddy for you!

luckylindy 08-21-2012 08:25 AM

Burgundy - I like that competitiveness! I need to do a challenge with my friends and see if I can achieve the same. The P90x abs workout is brutal on the tailbone and I have to modify it on almost every exercise but the other ones arent that bad. The worst for me, which is also the best workout is plyometrics, it involves a lot of jumping and wellll....after you have a baby, jumping just isnt in the cards, lol. So I usually replace it with Kenpo, which I LOVE....its like kickboxing. How are you doing on eating?

Unpregnant - welcome to the group! Your concept of just cutting portions is much like Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers, so it sounds like you will be successful. What do you have planned for exercise?

Yesterday was a great success in my eyes, we are without A/C in FLORIDA of all hot and muggy places and I wanted ice cream...BAD (Burgundy - thanks for the encouragement). I passed it up and took a cold bath, then ate some scrambled eggs and went to bed, lol. Not happy about eating before bed but whatever got me over that hump, I was doing it! I'm slacking on exercise, didnt make it to the gym yesterday because me the DBF are both under the weather. I will probably start P90x next week, once I am 100%. In addition to doing Atkins, I am counting my calories and ratios, I am doing quite well. 5% carbs, 60% protein, 40% fat, and about 1400 calories a day.

So, does anyone have any goal outfits? Victoria Secret has all their swimsuits on clearance for $15 so I bought three size mediums yesterday....hopefully that is what I will be wearing on the cruise, lol.

luckylindy 08-22-2012 02:38 PM

Ok girls...just wanted to share my good news! I am not quite at one month, but I am officially down 12 pounds! Plateau is done, for now. :-)

AND....my pants were too big to put on today! :-D

Burgundy - I really like the new pic of you, you look great!

burgundyrayne 08-22-2012 08:47 PM

Lindy-BIG CONGRATS on 12 lbs, that's great. I don't think I have lost anything. Gotta eat better. I had a burrito tonight then looked at the calories and it was 760 Cal's. Yikes! not sure if p90x would be for me. Need to do more workouts on the wii

100 mile challenge is going great. I've walked 19 miles in 4 days. I want to get to 25 by the weekend. We are going out of town for the weekend so I have to keep myself on track . I need to start eating more fruits and veggies and eat more raw. Gonna get the hubby to stop bringing snacks in the house cos I always find myself eating them,. I did pick up some v8 today, maybe that can curb my cravings at night.

luckylindy 08-23-2012 10:20 AM

I tried and started, tried and started about 30 times before I finally became successful, the hardest thing for me was just cutting back on my portions and eating raw, I just have NO filter so that fact that you can, is awesome. I'm jealous. I think I am ok with going low carb for long term results. I dont miss sweets anymore and the only thing I can really imagine eating again...on occasion...would be pizza. Oh how I miss pizza these days.

Anyway, I'm still a lazy butt and not exercising. I really need to start toneing stat because my uniform for Halloween Horror Nights is not "forgiving". I have decided I will start P90x next week, Monday to be exact. :-D

burgundyrayne 08-26-2012 09:50 PM

Omg, ate too much today. Back on track in the morning. W were out of town all weekend. I only walked 4 miles the whole weekend. We went to Gabriel iglesias. He is hilarious. Ray to get back on track and starting dropping lbs. How is everyone?

luckylindy 08-27-2012 08:44 AM

Hey Burgundy! I am so jealous...I love Gabriel Iglesias, sounds like a fun weekend.

I wish I could say I had a good weekend but I didnt. I went TOTALLY off diet for the first time in one month. We took the kids to Legoland, and I was hungry from walking around all day and I didnt want to order 5 cheeseburgers at $7 a pop just to fill me up so I had a balances meal. Then I figured I already threw myself out of ketosis so I did the same thing on Sunday. I DID track my calories though and although they were VERY high, I did not consume more than 2,500, therefore even if the scale does bounce a little, it will not be actual fat because I did not consume enough to gain a pound. Well, this is at least what I am telling myself, lol.

I am back on board today though and ready to stick with it. I am interested to see how much this will stall or impact my weight loss. *shrugs shoulders*

Anyway, it is a rainy day here in Orlando as we are getting some of the bands from Hurricane Isaac, makes me in a blah kinda mood.

So....how is everyone else doing?

burgundyrayne 08-29-2012 04:24 PM

Lindy if you ever get the chance to see Gabriel live you have to do it. His shows are awesome. This is the 2nd time we've seen him. How is the weather down there, still rainy from Isaac?

My eating has been horrible lately. The scale is up a few lbs and its driving me nuts. I do good for a little while but can't seem to fall into a routine. I'm still working on 100 miles in 30 days. Today is day 11 and I've walked/ran 34 miles. I will get to 50 by the 2nd.

Made it to 36 miles today.

Burgundy - the important thing is to stick with an exercise routine, because that you can make a habit. You are doing SO well....good for you! The eating thing is hard and I am finding that my cheat weekend was SO not worth it. I gained weight, which is likely water weight but still. And I felt awful on Monday and Tuesday, much like a hangover. I finally am feeling good but as of this morning, I am still not in ketosis, hmpf. I will wait patiently and see what happens.

Has anyone heard of the It works wraps? Im going to a party tomorrow, which ultimately seems like a pyramid scheme but for $25, I have nothing to lose.

Lindy-i am sticking to my walking routine. I've been 44 miles in 14 days. I would really like to get to 50 by tomorrow. I haven't walked yet today, so its possible. I went 6 miles yesterday. I'm gonna add more workouts even if its just wii fit. And drink more water. We have a birthday party to go to tonight. No cake for me.

I haven't heard of it works wraps. What is it?

Hope everyone is doing OK.
Vicky-how are those babies?
