Burgundy - WOOHOO! You are cranking - way to go!

Hey girls....quick check in. I weighed in today and down to 188, woot! That makes me 18 pounds from my first goal and 3 pounds from my end of March goal. VERY happy! I was suppose to do cardio at the gym tomorrow but my house is looking neglected these days so Im going to clean which I usually sweat more doing that than I do at the gym. :-)
Burgundy - kudos on another loss! It will be a competition between us since we are so close together. |
Lindy - you rock! Way to go!! Sounds like you've got your March goal in the bag...
No progress here but that's okay - I'm working like crazy and barely exercising but am planning on getting in a run in the snow tomorrow and shoveling lots later in the day (big snowstorm coming). I think I'm going out with the spanish guy tonight but I'm not feeling it about the guy I was going to meet on Sunday so I think I'm going to let that go - not a good fit for me. If I can get out of the house on Saturday, I think I'll walk over to the mall, get an iphone 5 (finally!) and do a little fun shopping. I have a bunch of friends coming over for a spaghetti dinner on Sat (for me, that will be meat sauce on a bed of sauteed zucchini - yum!) and that should keep me entertained for the weekend. What are you guys up to? |
Still at 190 this morning. I was hoping to see the 180s and catch up to Lindy but no luck yet. I got Your Shape for the Xbox yesterday. That is an intense workout. There are a ton of different workouts to choose from. Gonna give it another try today. I didn't reach my 2 hours of exercise yesterday cos we were out of town all day. I did walk laps in target, lol, while my sister in law shopped and I did about 45 minutes of your shape last night.
Dance-did you get a lot of snow, some of it here has melted but just a little. I'm just glad the roads are clear so I can walk. |

Got in a good walk in the snow with a buddy this morning and did a bunch of cooking. Am planning on a nap in a little while - bliss! Date with the spanish guy was not so good - I just wasn't feeling the connection - oh well - plenty of fish and all, right? ETA - Just had a great time having friends over for dinner. Had a few bites of cheesecake for dessert but sent the rest of the assorted slices home with a friend. Hope the cheesecake doesn't do too much damage! ;) |

Hope you all are doing well. Just got an email on match this morning from a guy who lives down the block from me (I recognized his house in one of the photos) - crazy coincidence, right? We're going out on Friday and I *think* I may have another date tues or thurs - not sure yet. Will keep you posted. I walked with a buddy yesterday but was feeling too low energy to get in a run, oh well. No scale progress but I'll try to stick to plan extra well this week so I can get things moving again. Did some major closet clearing out so the piles of bags for goodwill are accumulating again - gotta love that. What's new with everyone? ETA - on a major online shopping streak lately - between last night and today in between meetings, I'm spending a bunch of money, yikes! I need new stuff that fits and haven't been able to get out shopping for various reasons (the blahs, snowstorms, busy at work). Do you guys shop online or always in stores? |
Dance-me and my hubby do a lot of online shopping. I dont buy a lot of clothes. The last clothing item I bought was a Labyrinth tshirt. Im a child of the 80s, lol. I get some of my crafts online too. I just cleaned out my closet a few weeks ago. I have a friend that needed some clothes so I gave them to her. The scale is still the same for me too but Im still eating good and exercising so it will move. Ive been cleaning everything tonight. Ive been lazy this week and didnt do much so tonight is catch up. So thats my workout tonight. Chris wants to go to the movies tomorrow, yikes, popcorn. I'll down a bunch of water so Im not hungry.

Don't be frustrated with the scale not moving, we all know the drill. One day we will hop on and see a "whoosh." Dance - plenty of fish in the sea for sure. It is good that you recognize there isnt a connection from the get go, that way you dont have to keep wasting time. That is funny that you are dating someone close by. Does he know that you are that close or you keeping that under wraps? I online shop sometimes but not often for clothing. When I am thinner I dont struggle with it as much but when I am my current size, my chest and legs are kinda funny with sizes. Burgundy - you are doing really awesome with working out, keep it up, the scale will move soon enough. Do you drink any sugar drinks? I think my weight came off quick because I completely cut out soda from my diet. Now I am doing a cleanse so I do not know what is going to come of it. So, I worked out 4 days last week and am shooting for 4 days this week. I had to miss yesterday because I had a procedure at the dermatology office but I will be leaving work in 45 minutes today to squeeze in my workout. I was trying to make up excuses not to go because it is a really nastry rainy day here but if I dont do it now, I wont do it at all. Is anyone else thrown off with the daylight savings time? I love this change but my body seems to still be adjusting because I am more tired than I ever have been. |
Hey yall! Ive been mia! My father in law just went back overseas yesterday so i hope i have extra free time now! It has been crazy!! I dont know if i told you all or not...but i went shopping with my mother in law and got size 28 jeans. They are a hair big in the waist but fit way better than the size 14 and 16's i had! I thibk that is like a size 10 or 12. Anywho. The scale isnt moving. I have been really good on food....except on the weekends when we go out or go to the inlaws house. I had a roll at coltons and a madori sour. Then they grilled burgers. So hopefully i can get back on track. The scale said 174.6 this morning.....im just waiting for that whoosh to get me in the 160's for good. The trainer is still kicking ny butt and i have a workout partner now. Ita still kinda new. We hhve obly been working out like 2 or 3 weeks. Hope yall have a good day!

Nessa - did you choose your workout partner? Do you now get a discount because you have to shar ehim? lol I realize that when I go to the gym I dont push myself as hard as I should but I am taking baby steps. I want to get into a pattern and then I can push myself to the brink, lol. I did get in a good leg workout last week because for 2 days my legs were KILLING me, haha. Just keep up with the working out and you should be fine with the eating on special occasion.
Yesterday was murder with my cleanse. Was really hungry. I did not go off the approved fruit and veggie list but I did consume more than recommended. I still have that hunger feeling and am working out so I am sure I am fine. I will weight myself on Friday, then again next Wednesday, then I am going to wait 14 days to weight again. I also am doing something different, I took my measurements. I realized the scale is not the tell all to weight loss and to avoid frustration I just need to take those extra steps. I am almost done with this semester of school so I pretty excited about that as well. How is everyone doing eating and exercising? |

Kudos Dance - you are SO close to reaching your goal. Do you think you want to change it to something less or keep it as is? I alway's said that I'll wait till I get there, see how I look and then determine if I should lose more. That's why I'm asking.
All is wonderful on my end. I was feeling incredibly sleepy for the first 3 days of my cleanse but I woke up today feeling alert and with plenty of energy. GREAT feeling. Cannot WAIT to see the end result. |
Morning, girls! 157 today - can't believe it! And yes, Lindy, I will definitely move my goal to something lower - maybe 140 - as soon as I get there. 4 more lbs to get to normal BMI - can't wait.
Just got back from a great run and had a wonderful time with the girls last night in book club. Life is good - I'm looking forward to my Fri, Sun and Tuesday dates, I look good in my clothes, I'm dog-sitting for my buddy's dog again and I'm two weeks in to the no-ex bf thing. I still miss him a little now and then but my life is so drama free it's amazing. Funny how things change so quickly. Whatever happens with him in the future, I think I really needed a break. Lindy - I'm so impressed with your cleanse! Glad the tough part's over - with everything you have on your plate, the last thing you need is to be sleepy. Hey - how's everything with your guy? You haven't said anything lately.... |

Lindy- i sorta just ended up with a partner. I was doing a makeup day on a friday and this chick was like work out with me. I would love to have a partner. I wasnt overly keen on the idea.....and im not 100% still. I do feel like i compete with her which makes me work harder. But i dont know if i like it. She is use to her old schedule and she keeps forgetting so im half with a partner and half not. And no....no discount. I wish!!! But believe me.....he doesnt slack because there are 2 of us!lol Well the scales were 177.0 on monday and then dipped to 173.8.and now at 174.6. So im still staying in the same range....... Now that im not eating with the inlaws all thw time i can finally do better and get to the 160's!! Welp i am fixing to change and head to the gym. Talk to u soon!!!! |
Dance - I am beyond excited for you and looking forward to catching up soon enough. You are definately motivation to keep going. It doesnt seem that long ago that we started conversing (again) in this group and how quickly the pounds have shed over that time frame. Are you going to stay low carb or gradually incorporate more into your diet but still eat moderately? I am also happy to see you are moving on from your ex. You know in your heart what was the right thing to do and you acted on it. Good for you! Oh, me and the boyfriend are doing awesome. Financially we are good, mentally we are good, everything is great. I stepped away from "raising" his kids and let him enforce the rules and it has made it so much easier.
Nessa - time to update that ticker! I mean 174 is flippin awesome! Are you doing ww anymore or are you just following your trainers diet? How much longer are you planning on sticking with him? Sorry to hear about your mandatory gym buddy, lol. I like having a friend join me at the gym but I do not like talking to total strangers. In intentionally keep earphones on the whole time I am at the gym to avoid this contact, lol. My afternoon is good. I am craving a burger so I asked the DBF to pick up ground turkey and will put some avocado on top. I might do a side of asparagus with it, not sure. |
