Lisa: I was so happy to come to the site and see that you were the last one to post a message. Glad that your mothers surgery went as well as it did, now if only she will not try to over extend herself. I hope Jimmy is okay, and that the girl didn't have serious injuries. Running into the back of a truck can be serious business!!! My daughter has a pair of pants that she's required to wear when she rides out with EMS, they are kinda a green color with all kinds of pockets everywhere. She was thrilled to death that she got her own pair of scissors to carry around with her! Good luck on your clinicals...we need more people like you!!!!
Dee: HOW ARE YOU????? MOM????? PLEASE check in!!!! Jennelle: Been there, done that......sometimes the best food choices on the menu are not actually the best food choices for our body! Carol: Just remember to check in here and you will do great!!!! Remember the day that you had a big dinner to go to? We offered advice and you did just fine! Titan Dee: The booth space sounds really reasonable!!! So much less then running an ad in the paper! Best of luck to you as you earn your first million after retirement with your flea market sales! Shelley: The Rock'n Relay sounds like fun!!! Every since you mentioned "Stay'n alive", all I can think of is the tune, "I will survive" You guys will have a blast plus will be doing something good! Our Relay for Life offers prizes for the best camping set-up, will your relay org. do that? Doni: Happy to see you posting!!! GREAT job on the weight loss!! I guess exercise is important! :smug: Have a super, duper day girls! |
Just a quick Hi  and to say ........Today is the 1st day of Spring!! :dancer:
I'll be back later to post!! **Please keep the brave men & women and their families in your prayers as we begin the war  Sherry |
Sherry I needed your chick this morning to make me smile!
Sorry for not posting. I am running on fumes. Mom is still in the hospital. I have been going everyday to help out. It has only been my Dad and I going to the hospital to help. But you know how men are......they donn't get it. She has a large blood clot in her leg that is very painful. Her leg is swollen from her toes to her hip. She is unable to walk. Part of the blood clot broke loose and went to her lungs. Her oxygen level is reading around 85. It should be 100%. She is on oxygen and IV heprin (which is a blood thinner) and Kumidin (which is also another blood thinner). She sees the blood clot specialist today. They are having a hard time disolving the clot. They are concerned about it traveling to her heart or lungs. She looks awful. her eyes are all blood shot. I think it is from low oxygen. Her skin color is very pale and sickly. Sorry for all the depressing news. That is all that I seem to be able to share. I hope you all have a really good day and I am sorry that I don't have the time to post to all of you. Debbie how is James? I have been praying for him. Ramona how are you hanging in there with the news of the war? Lisa I am glad that your mother's surgery is over and that it went well. Sherry you are doing wonderful on the exercise board. Keep it up. Shelley don't forget Mom and Jackie friday. I really appreciate the prayers. Thinking about it has just brought me to tears. You guys are so special. Gayle get some well needed rest. Thanks for keeping in touch. Great weight loss everyone. Well I really got to run so I can get ready to go see mom. DEE |
Here is a poem that Jackie sent me.....it made me cry and I just can't seem to get it out of my head.
IT IS TIME TO FOLD YOUR TENT - a message I am sure it is my duty, as long I am in this tent, to keep stirring you up with reminders, since I know the time for me to lay aside tent is coming soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. And I shall take great care that after my own departure you will still have a means to recall things to mind. (2Peter 1:13-13) All of us earth-people will someday be asked to fold up our tents and come home. Death and life stand near each other. It is difficult at times to see where one begins and the other ends. This meditation was written for someone who was asked by the Lord to fold up the tent. I am sure that in your lifetime you haveknown and loved many folders. This poem is dedicated, with love, to all the tent-folders who have ever walked this earth and to the tent-folder who is waiting in you. Once again death's mystery holds us in its arms and we are memoried with a thousand things you were and are, and now always will be. We celebrate this journey with a quiet shyness always a little uncomfortabel with a mystery so deep, But with hearts full of life we hold out our hands to receive the mystery of death the gift of death and sometimes we weep. Eyes that see all the way in now proclaim to us the new truth, When you stand close enough to death it isn't death anymore. Its new name is LIFE, yet those of us with earth-eyes still call it death. There is really no death for those caught up in God, only a moment of passing over a moment of folding up you tent a hard, painful, giving-up moment It is always painful to let go. We praise a women (man) who had the vision to let go. We praise a God who had the love to ask her (him) to let go. O God of life it is in our moments of not letting go that we truly experience death and all the while It is life that you have planned for us! O God of life dip us into the mystery of letting go of folding up our tents so we, your earthen vessels, can bear the beauty of the breaking and hold the fullness of the life. Do earth-people always call things by the wrong name? Is it death we celebrate? Or is it life? Or is it letting go? I warn you when God gives you when God gives you the grace to let go be prepared for a radical transformation! Love Jackie |
Hi Everyone!!
James' surgery went well. His surgery was a t 8.30 this morning, after being in recovery for 2 hours we were home by 1.00. Talk about a quickie...lol. He is in a lot of pain but that's is to be expected. The pain medication is strong so he is out of it.
