Me too Debee...up 2 lbs this week! :( Ate too much last nite but every other day did ok and walked walked walked. I know alot of things affect the scale but it's still so frustrating! Not going to help things today....had pizza and cheese sticks tonite. I havent had pizza in almost 6 months tho. Just couldnt wait any longer.:lol: Not going to just blow it tho..tomorrow I'll be right back on schedule.
Cyan, thanks for that link. Definitely going to check it out tonite. Taiwan, congrats on another lb! I have a feeling Josiah gets a lot of credit for that. Keeps you on the move huh?? lol Lisa, any news from the colonoscopy?? Come post as soon as you can. Lady and Reina...how's the WW going? Are you two still exercising bunches? Hello everyone, I hope you all had a pleasant weekend, sorry to hear people gained, I know I did, but I didn't get on teh scale to tell! So I will wait until next Saturday!
I am going to some crazy stuff right now, so I am sorry if I dropped off radar. I have to make a decision that affects everyone in my family, so my eating and mind have been elsewhere....... I will be accepting a new job, with some great benefits, but there are some other downfalls to the position, so it is kinda boggling my mind. Also, I think I will be taking hte job, but now I have to tell my current boss, who has been a big part of my life for over 7 years, so it is kinds difficult to do. So I hope to have my head clear by the middle of this week, and maybe get back on track, I haven't worked out all last week, nor do I feel in the mood today! Sorry I can't post individuals, but my head is spinning in all different directions, and I just can't think right now. I will try to drop back in this week. I am noticing how big this loop has gotten, so I think it is time to create a #4 for us... Later gators!!! |
Well, so far so good with my new plan of eating this week, but I have to admit I had a little help staying on track! Had my yogurt for breakfast, then since I went into work at 10 a.m., I had my banana soon after getting there. I had planned to eat my Healthy Choice dinner at noon but ended up otherwise occupied. I work at a bank and on Mondays, I work at the small branch which is located inside of Brookshires, a grocery store, rather than the main bank. Around 10:55 a.m., two black guys come to my window and one asks me to cash a check for him. I gave it back and said I couldnt because it was an out-of-state check. I did say that I could cash it only if he had an account with us with funds enough in it to cover the check in case it was returned. He turns to his friends and asks.."What are we going to do". At that second, his friend reaches across the counter and grabs a handful of money right out of the hand of Debbie, who is working next to me. I couldnt believe it!! They took off running, I was yelling for someone to stop them. The grocery store manager and the produce guy took off after them on foot then in vehicles. The cops eventually caught them 2 hrs later. Found out their car was stolen from a correction facility guard in St. Louis, MO plus they had drugs on them. Have no idea why they were in Arkansas. We got the $500 back that they had grabbed. By the time the FBI, police, etc had come and taken our statements, dusted for finger prints, and finished all that, it was 3:30! I finally was able to eat lunch. What a way to stay on track.. Anyway, tonite I had grilled chicken breast with a little sauted squash on the side. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little calmer but I'm going to try to eat as well.
Reina, I know what you mean about dreading telling your current boss. I had worked for 13 yrs at the same place when I left. I HATED telling them. Worked out okay tho because here I am now at the same place I left..LOL Was gone for 3 yrs and came back part-time. (or thats what they call it anyway, very rarely am I ever off but at least I have the option of saying NO, whether or not I choose to use it:lol: ) How was everyone else's Monday?? Ready for updates! Well, my Tuesday is almost over now:-) Luke was gone all weekend, which meant I didn't eat well, not that I didn't eat, just didn't eat good things. I am not too fond of taking care of 3 kids by myself all weekend. At least one of them is 14yr old, old enough to help. Today was ok. Monday I did 22 min on the stepper and then 10min arms and 10 min abs. Today I did 10 min each--legs/arms (really sweated through that one!!), buns and abs. I will try to do the stepper tonight before bed. Eating is really getting me. I am sooooooooooooo lazy it's pathetic. I hate cooking, really, I hate it. We are having Chinese dumplings tonight (really nutritional I know!!)
Wow!! that's scary Miki, that people would do that in broad daylight. Glad that they didn't have a gun or anything. Bet you all were freaked out. Sounds like you are doing better on eating too. Wish I could. Reina, it's hard to leave a place when you've been there so long. I hope they understand. Don't let stress bother your eating. At the rate I am going, I may not check the scale on Friday. At least I got my exercises in this week. To all, hope all is well. We are getting some "maybe SARS" cases in our county now. One being at a school 5min away!!! We also live about 5 blocks from one of the main hospitals. Joys. We bought some masks, though the "WHO recommended" are like $3-4US. We bought surgical masks and 75%rubbing alcohol to spray our hands with and to increase life of the face mask. Hope this is over soon as our departure date to the states gets closer (ok, not for a few months, but still!) Have a great day ladies. Deana--who is sitting here eating popcorn w/butter:-0 |
Good Morning Ladies
I had a nice long 3 day holiday weekend! Yesterday I went out to the park and played badminton and then after, I played on the monkey bars!! Boy was that tough...so I now sport a huge painful bruise on my leg near my knee..underside because I wanted to hang upside down from the bars like I did when I was a kid:dizzy:
Anyway, I am so sore today...my arms hurt from holding all my weight. I also bought a jump rope and an exercise ball...jumping rope is sooooooo hard...you do a couple of minutes and you think your heart will just stop right on the spot. I do however love my exercise ball...I got it to help strengthen my lower back...apparently the exercise ball is supposed to strenghen and develop your body's core muscles. So since friday, I have been jumping rope, using the ball and playing badminton. Along with all this exercise, I have been eating mussels, sushi, thai rolls and lots of great delicious food. I have to scale back on the eating...always my weekness. Anyway, I play badminton again tonight..I hope I can...my arms are tucked under my armpits like a t-rex cause they hurt so bad and that huge bruise on the back of my knee is throbbing...yeesh! and they exercise is supposed to be good for you! Hey Deanna..sorry to hear SARS might be in Taiwan.,..scary. 3 kids all my yourself...wow...that must have kept you busy Miki..oh wow on the burgerly..that must have been scary and escaped convicts! this could be a movie Hey Reina...congrats on your move and dont worry..it will all work out the best for you. Well..I am at work so I best get to it...have a great rest of day everyone. Cyan |
