Hey Sher-bear!!! I LOVE the hot air balloon with our names!!!! Are you cool, or what!!! I hope your feeling better tonight and that the prescription is taken care of. Exactly one reason I dread going to the doc!!!! You can visit the PP site by going to www.eatprotein.com/ then click on bulletin board. I just happened on to the book at the thrift store and picked it up because it looked interesting and was a bargain at 29 cents!!
Dee: I'm thinking of you tonight..... Well, finished day four!!! YIPPPPEEEEE!!!!!! BTW: Where the heck did our little EMT run off to??? Lisa, please check in! |
Sherry-$135.00 every 2 weeks for FAMILY coverage?? That's a good price compared to ours. I had to drop family coverage because it was going to be 280.00 every 2 weeks!! Now I pay 130.00 for just me and hubby (the kids are on a different plan.) Be thankful for small favors!!
|
Hey I'm not Lisa...But can i check in??????

Sorry So many of us are dealing with some heavy stuff right now in our life. Just remember when you look down and see a shiney penny, you shouldn't be looking to see if it brings you luck, but in the inscription of "In God We Trust". He helps us in ways that are truly awesome. Sherry .....Glad you went to Doc's but don't wait so long the next time. You are you NO. 1 before anyone else. Gayle,Dee.Doni.Donna,Debbie,Shelley,Romana,Jennell e,Jeanne have a wonderful wk/end and those on diets~keep up the good work you are doing. Take Care A Friend is someone who never let's you Fall... |

I knew you were around the whole time Vick, just didn't want to bug you... feel free to post here when something is bugging you or life gets you down. Remember we are here for support, and it can be other then weight loss!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
|
Ramona I just wanted to let you know that i am not offended by your advise. I think that it was very good. You have learned from experience and you know what you are talking about. I would have never considered a treatment program for Dez without you.
We are having our ups and downs. When we confronted Dez I remained calm. So much for that because the next day I blew it. Oh well can't change that. We are working on it. Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend. |
Howdy
I hope that everyone is having a great OP weekend! :D I'm feeling a lot better but still have watery eyes, runny nose & sneezing. I'm about 70% better.I'm hoping the Augmentin starts working faster!! My throat or ear isn't hurting anymore so I guess the shot in my booty helped that!! Debbie^^^^We sure had a great time yesterday! Are you sore from playing volleyball? My legs are a little sore today but that could be from the trampoline!! LOL!! I hope your Grannymom is ok. I'm worried about her. Gayle^^^^Thanks for the compliment on the welcome sign! I thought I would get creative! LOL!! Did you get to work on your pond this weekend? Dee (Titan Card Fan)^^^^We DO get out of School on May 22nd afterall!!! We are making up that last snow day this Friday! It was suppose to be an in-service but Metro changed it for the kids to go so we wouldn't have to go a day later. Dee^^^^Just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and to tell you that we're ALWAYS here for you!! WE LOVE YOU!!! :grouphug: Shelley^^^^ I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining about paying $135.00 for family coverage.I was FUSSING because after paying this amount, they were picky about what medicine's they would pay!! I would have to quit if it were $280.00!! They don't pay me enough!!! Vicki^^^^ I'm so happy that you posted! I kept asking where you were!!! I loved the "penny" thing. It's so true!! Don't ever feel like you are whinning here!! We're friends through EVERYTHING!! Don't ever forget that and DO post again SOON. Are you ok? Your post sounded like you were a little down. (??) Carol^^^^I know you're busy and been down with your leg and all....but can you PLEASE post once a week so we'll know if you're ok and if you're OP? I love & miss you!! :grouphug: Ramona^^^^Is your snow gone??? How long did it stay around? Have you talked to either of your boys? I KNOW I keep asking....but I'm just so worried about them and....YOU!! Jennelle^^^^Is all the sickness running around your school too? Last Friday we called a parent to pick up her sick child (1st grader) that had a fever of 104.8 and she never came!! When School was over (2 hours later!! ) we just sent him home on the bus.I felt so sorry for that child!! Jeanne^^^^ How is Atkins going??? That's the plan that Debbie always uses and she does very well on it. I tried it once and lasted 2 days! I missed my pasta too much!! Good luck to you and remember not to give up!!!! :) Where is........Doni........Lisa.........& Donna????????? If you talk to them...Tell them that I'm hanging my "Lost Floozies Friends" on telephone poles this afternoon!!! Love & Hugs, Sherry (Sher-Bear) |
Sherry - Nothing makes me madder than a parent who won't come get their sick kid! With 104.8, that child should have been on the way to the hospital. Next time that kid's mom is sick, they should make HER ride the school bus home. Poor little thing :(
|
Wow, now I know why I spent so much time with the State of Illinois. The highest family plan is about $150 per month, and that is actually the one that pays the least BUT you can select your own doctors. In addition everyone has to pay something for themselves whether they have dependents or not, but that is based upon income.
Dee: Hang in there. Is there a support group that you can join? Sherry: Sounds like you're feeling better. Guess it's a good thing we don't have a Titan game for you to yell at. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with the team. That cap stuff is way above my head. I'm glad you will get out of school on time. Oh, I found the book if you want it. |
Hey Crusty, ooop's..Sher_bear! I thought you guys had snow there. How thev heck are you playing volleyball?? Our trampoline gets such little use, that when we do get on it, we end up ith that black stuff all over!
Dee: I hope life is better for you tonight. I can give a different perspective to living with a person that abuses drugs and alcohol. My first husband had a major problem that I did not realize until it was to late. I suffered mental & physical abuse and it was always because of me or someone else. He never wanted to face the problem. After an affair and him, almost killing me, I decide to end the marriage. It has been almost 13 years and the abuse comes back to haunt me daily. I hate to be such a downer, but try everything that you can now to help Dez, because in later years with no help. it is sure to effect her and her family. |
Gayle,
We only had snow ONE day last week! It was gone that night!! Weird weather here!! We were at Debbie's "cousins" house for her Grannymom's 91st b/day party! They have an INDOOR gym!! That's where we played volleyball! Cool huh??? Gotta get ready for work....still have a bad cold but going on in since I missed Friday. Everyone.........Have a great OP day!!!!! ;) Sherry (Sher-Bear) |
Just a quick note because I have to leave for work in about 5 minutes. Today is the day I start again. I am trying Atkins again. It worked for me once, it can work again!!!
My hubby and I have a trip to the bahamas planned for the end of November and right now I wouldn't be caught dead in a swimsuit!! I need to seriously buckle down. I only need to lose about 65-70 lbs. LOL That is doable right!!! Well gotta run. Everyone have a great OP day. Keep looking at the bright side and don't let things get you down. We are never given any more than we can handle!! Hugs to you all Carol |
Sherry i love the pic you put up......my first laugh of the day. It reminds me when Dez was little she fell asleep at the table and her head bobed in mashed potatoes.
I would rather be in Mexico. :( Life can be pretty tough. Dez and I are not getting along at all. I guess I am not being patient and kind to her. I just can't right now. I am going to try to post more later today. |
Dee, I'm still thinking about you and wishing you the best. Sometimes, life just plain stinks! But, all we can do is pray for better times and find at least one thing each day that makes us smile. Take care my friend.
Sherry, thanks for asking about the boys. Dan had drill yesterday and was told they have been put on standby for Afghanistan instead of Korea, but it probably won't be until this summer. Ben is still in Montana. He is supposed to get his new assignment this Thursday and he will re-enlist April 10 for five more years. I'm happy to say that Dan is doing well. He really likes his job and is working about 60 hours a week. That's a real good way to stay out of trouble!!!!! I think the best thing he could have done was move out on his own. That tends to create a sense of responsibility and his dad and I can get some sleep now! LOL I'm glad you are feeling better. Well, I've got to get back to work on my list of doggie names.....have a new puppy to name! Later all, Ramona |
What kind of little "woofer" did ya get Ramona??????:^:
|
Actually, Gayle, she just showed up at our house about a week ago. She is so sweet.....probably about 5 months old. She is a great big ball of honey colored fur. She has a chow face, but I haven't figured out what the body is! LOL
My other two dogs are not very happy with the attention she is getting, but they'll get over it. Right now, my leading name is Maizie with Sheba running second. She joins our other two "children" Reuben and Belle Starr |
MAIZIE get's my vote!!!! Sounds exactly like how we ended up with our chow mix, Kodiak, Kodie for short. Such a cute, furry black fuzz ball has now grown into 75 pounds of "don't mess with me" look!!! Sweet as a baby, but no one knows that. Makes me feel more secure with Steve out of town so much.
|
I'm with Gayle....Maizie is cute
Sun came out today Sherry ---you know me to well I am a little down but you know me I will be back to my old self soon. A Friendship circle is a group of wonderful friends. |
Hi girls :cb: :cb:
Hope everyone is having a great OP day. I went in this morning with tons of paperwork on my desk {some I left there Friday}. I didn't get everything done, even had to bring some home which I haven't done in years. Carol... So glad you posted and are starting back on Adkins. The Bahamas!!! I'm so jealous!! I have always wanted to go, maybe I'll go when I'm old and retired. I can see me now, sitting in the shade with kneehigh pantyhose on and the big hat sipping on a coconut drink...LOL. Your vacation is 9 months away, you can easily lose 60 pounds. We are here for you!!! :D Sherry.... Hope you are feeling better today. Take it easy and don't overdue so you will get completely well. Gayle thought we played volleyball in the snow...what a hoot!! Gayle.... You would have kicked my b*tt if I let Sherry play volleyball in the snow. My couisin has the neatest house with a full gym on the lower level of his house. Vicki.... Glad to hear from you! Sorry to hear you are alittle down. Just know we are here for you! Love to all my floozie friends  :dancer: Deb :dancer: |
Girls...
Read this news article and tell me what you think: http://content.health.msn.com/conten...e/61/67538.htm |
In my opinion, this is how TV already is with alot of the reality shows. Most of the women have boobs so big & perfect that you know they can't be real. Also, check out the teeth!!!! Straight, perfect and vibrant white, not in todays world for the average man or woman unless you just happen to have big bucks. Just watched a new show tonight where the telivision audience matches couples to marry....almost everyone on the show I would consider to be above average in appearance. BTW: No heavy people either...
Sher & deb: i could just see you two little snow bunnies out hitting the volleyball!!!! Nice the past few days here, but they say we are heading towards more winter weather...YUCK! Vickster: Thank you for checking in every so often. I hope things turn around for you soon. It seems that you spend so much time helping others that you forget yourself. |
Hi Floozies,
Well I have to say that I am basically in a state of shock. One week ago today I started Atkins and I can't believe I'm here to say that I have been totally on with this program. I can't remember the last time I stayed with something for this long (probably about 5 years ago doing WW). I hate to sound like a commercial, but I feel great and I'm really not that hungry. I lost 5 lbs. in my first week and each day that passes it seems to get easier. WOW! Carol--Good luck on Atkins. My motivation is also a trip (Maui in June) so I can relate. I haven't figured out my goal yet, it varies in my head my day to day. I'll wait and see how I feel just dropping some of the excess baggage! Ramona--your new pup sounds adorable... Let us know what you decide for a name. We have a almost 13 year old yellow lab named Lili, so I'm kind of partial to that name! Hi to everyone else. Chat with you later.;) |
Personally, I am sick of all the reality shows!! Enough is enough as far as I'm concerned!!
Jeanne-Wow!! 5lbs. is awesome!! Keep up the great work! Carol-You CAN do it!! You know you can, just stick with us and we will keep you motivated!! Ramona-I like Maizie, too!! The dog sounds too cute!! Sherry-I am glad you are feeling a bit better. Debbie-We are already planning for next year at school. Today I meet about the budget for next year. It's hard to believe that school will be out in a little over 3 months!! Vicki-Feel better. We all have our down times. That's what we are all here for---to help each other!! Dee-I hope you and Dez are getting along okay. I am really worried about all of you!! |
I didn't run away.... although I feel like I should. LOL
OK no whining......... after all that great news my mom got about her breast cancer it turned out to be not true at all. She had her lumpectomy, and the surgeon ended up taking more breast tissue than he anticipated. He also took the lymph nodes (that was the plan tho). She was called back a couple of days later and told that she will have to have a masectomy. She got an infection around the suture site, because she's allergic to the the tape they used (actually I think it's the adhesive) and because she itched and scratche.... blah blah blah infection. So she sees the surgeon again tomorrow, and if she's cleared up then the masectomy will proceed asap. Her condition is considered grave, she will have the surgery and then start radiation. I don't know about more chemo, I will find out. My sister left right after moms surgery to go to Australia and New Zealand for work. She's been "taking care" of mom. As soon as I hear from my mother I will travel back down to Indiana to be with her. My aunts are there also but mom specifically asked that I be there. I've been there lots.... also working. Work: it's going well and so's school. We started "live sticks" in class and we're all walking around looking like junkies lol. Both my hands are bruised from where I had iv's started. I was not able to start an IV on my partner, and after bursting into tears on Thursday night my one boss took pity upon me and let me start one on him. That made 4 for him, lol, and bless his soul he said my start hurt like ****! but he let me do it and I only have to get one more done before I can start working in the hospital. We lost our internet connection at work because of a virus so I was unable to check in because I was basically commuting into work from Indiana (6 hours away). Thank God for my husband who held it together for me. I was able to come home this weekend and get caught up on house work and laundry and all that good stuff. I took a day off yesterday just went wandering around. It was a good day. I did a little bit of shopping, even picked up this awesome software to turn pictures into cross stitch patterns. I decided I need to do some cross stitch to help with my relaxation. The virus at work has cleared up and I can check in while I'm there now. Work has been really cool and has limited my schedule this month, which is good, but bad .... the paychecks show it. OH and btw. Jimmy has gone back on the road as an over the road truckdriver. He started back yesterday. MY gf has offered to take my girls when I need to get back to Indiana if Jimmy isn't home. I just skimmed the posts and will go back to read them later. I did want to check in lol and let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Now it's on to doing taxes....yay fun! lol |
{{{HUGS}}}} Go out to you Lisa, it sounds like you need a few extra. You said that you're Mothers condition is considered grave, will the radiation be more for her comfort level? I have a friend that started with breat cancer, then it progressed to liver, lungs and brain...she was doing rounds of chemo and radiation, now the doctor are giving her an experimental drug in shot form. She has one I think about once or twice a month. You can not believe the difference in her! She is more energetic and told me that she actually has an appetite now. If your interested in the name of the drug, I can check with her, she might know, then your mom could mention it to her doc? Of course, what will work for one patient, may not work for another. Do know that your family is in my prayers. Check in whenever you have a chance. LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!
|
Hello all,
Lisa--I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I'm sending my thoughts and prayers your way. I just have to brag now--I'm down 7 lbs. since a week ago Monday. I can't believe it. Gotta love that Dr. Atkins. X&O |
FANTASTIC Jeanne!!!! You are doing SUPER!!!!!!
I'm not a big fan of ground turkey, but I picked up some & mixed it half & half with extra lean ground beef. Last night I made a patty fixed on the grill with a sprinkling of worshire sauce then topped with a slice of pepper jack cheese....YUMMY! Can you give a sample or two of your daily menu??? |
Lisa, I'm so sorry about the trouble your mother is having. I'll be sending good thoughts her way and yours!
Dee, how is everything going. I think about you everyday. Jeanne, way to go! You are doing great. I'm back on Atkins myself as of Monday. So far so good. I just had to laugh about your dog named Lili. Since that is my parent's housekeeper's name, I don't think that would go over very well! LOLOLOL Now, about the new puppy. Even though I'm a sucker for strays that come up, I really am not home enough to give a puppy much attention. But, I was going to keep her anyway. Well, yesterday, a man that works on our lawn equipment came to the house and saw her. He wanted to know if he could buy her for his son.(He is a single dad raising a young boy by himself) Well, of course we couldn't "sell" him a stray dog, but we gladly let him take the pup home. His son was ecstatic which made me feel better than keeping the pup myself. So.......that is my dog story for the day. I know she will have a great home and receive tons of love. Hello to all the other floozies. I've decided it's time to get over the winter slump and get serious about this weightloss....I hope you are all OP as well. The main thing is to be healthy and happy with who we are. We are wonderful, strong, beautiful women who aren't defined by images in fashion magazines. We are who we are, and we are unstoppable. I challange each of you to make this your own personal year to shine!!! OK, rah rah is over for today! LOL ta ta for now, Ramona |
Hi
Just wanted to pop-in for a quick hi.I'm feeling MUCH better but I now have a very bad yeast infection from taking 875 mg. of Augmentin TWICE a day!! :( I can't get that little pill to get rid of it until ALL my antibotics are taken, which will be Monday. So needless to say, if I'm not coughing or blowing my nose, I'm SCRATCHING!! Reckon I should go buy BRILLO pads?! Also....my hormones are messed up! My hot flashes are unreal!! But atleast I can laugh about it all! LOL  Gosh... It's wonderful to be a woman huh??! I've got a lot to do tonight....sorry I can't post to everyone right now.But please know I'm thinking of you all!! :grouphug: I'll post more tomorrow night. Hugs, Sherry (Sher-Bear) |
Oh Sherry your image is so funny. You come up with the best ones.
Lisa I am really sorry to hear all the bad news. I know what it is like to have a mom have breast cancer. Thank you everyone for thinking of me. I will try to post more tomorrow. I am just heading out to the YMCA. |
I received this yesterday from a friend. I had to share.
A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his attractive blonde >female >>>neighbour came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox. She >>>opened >>>it then slammed it shut stormed back in the house. A little later she >came >>>out of her house again went to the mail box and again opened it, slammed >it >>>shut again. >>>Angrily, back into the house she went. As the man was getting ready to >>>edge >>>the lawn, here she came out again, marched to the mail box, opened it and >>>then slammed it closed harder than ever. Puzzled by her actions the man >>>asked her, "Is something wrong?" To which she replied, "There certainly >>>is!" >>>(are you ready? ... this is a beauty ...) >>> >>>" My stupid computer keeps saying, "YOU'VE GOT MAIL." |
Dee...TOO funny!
Sherry - everytime I get a prescription for antibiotics, I always have the doctor go on and write me a prescription for yeast infection meds. It never fails.... |

My daily menu is not very creative although I have eaten out for several meals. Breakfast--2 eggs with bacon or an omelette with ham and cheese; decaf coffee with half and half; snack--hard boiled egg or slice of meat or cheese Lunch--lettuce with a can of tuna or grilled chicken with Ceasar salad dressing; snack--olives or cheese or avocado Dinner--chicken or beef (cube steaks are easy) or pork chops and a veggie (salad or spinach or brocolli or asparagus) with butter or Ranch dressing Dessert--diet Jello with whipped cream. WATER all day long....and that's it. I told my mom yesterday that I was doing Atkins and she was not pleased..."too much fat". Hey, this isn't any more than what I was eating before (other than the mass quantities of eggs). I used to have cereal and a banana every morning so that has been a big change for me. Let me know if you have any other questions...obviously I have a lot to say on the subject! Love to all the Floozies, |
Jeanne: THANK YOU!! Do you weigh out your portions of meat??? I guess the old school of dieting is stuck in my head! BTW: When I count the calories too, I am not that far off from what I use to eat on a low fat diet! Who would of thunk it!!!!

Dee great joke!
Sherry, they're not hot flashes! They're POWER SURGES!!! LOL Thanks for all the great wishes. Mom's surgery is planned for this coming Tuesday. That's if her infection from the lumpectomy has cleared up. I will drive down there on Monday night and be with her on Tuesday. She will then go to my Aunt's house for a few days. She did tell me that they will keep her over night at the hospital. Well my baby will be turning 6 on Saturday. I already know what happens when cute little girls grow up..... They become obnoxious cute teenager girls! I keep asking my baby to quit growing and stay being my baby. She wants no part of it, LOL. All she can talk about these days is what she's going to do when she's 17! I have no idea where she comes up with such stuff. She'll just walk in a room and say, "Ya know when I'm 17 I'm gonna ......" and it can be hilarious some times. God Save Me!.... Sarah is her sweet and moody self. She just started her womanly monthly thing and she's not so sure about it. Although I do know that there's two other girls in her class who've started also. I keep trying to reassure her that's it's a fact of life and she's not so different than everyone else. But you know how girls can be. They want to be EXACTLY like everyone else. God Bless Them. Ok it's off to bake cupcakes for kindegarten. |
This is so neat!! Try it! :)
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have dinner out. (try for more than once but less than 10) 2. Multiply this number by 2 3. Add 5. 4. Multiply it by 50 - 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1753.... If you haven't, add 1752.......... 6.. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a three digit number .. The first digit of this was your original number (I.e., how many times you want to have eat out each week.) The next two numbers are... YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it IS!!!!!);) |
helloooooo remember me?
im back!!!! my stupid phone got shut off. miss everybody. im so far behind nut wanted to let you know im alive. i havent a chance to catch up. my emails bout to explode. hoping everyone is well. catch me up gals! hugs, doni |
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHAZZY Have a wonderful day!!
Doni-Good to hear from you. Gayle and Jeanne-How is Atkins going?? You girls are doing great!! Sherry-I will have to try that when I get a chance. I can't right now, since I am getting ready to go to work. Lisa-I continue to keep you and yours in my prayers. No time to address everyone--gotta go. TGIF!!!! |
