DH blew another tire today. He's having some rotten luck in 2013! His B-day is this weekend. Trying to at least get the kids together for lunch. No present bought. Just a card. We are going to Harley Davidson shop this weekend. I told him NO new cycles for his B-day. Just thinking about it makes me nervous!

Work is still sucky. The job is fine. It's the 3rd grade antics that go on in the office driving me crazy! A bunch of cat fighting, back stabbing, and nonsense!! I try not to take sides. Just do my work and keep my mouth shut. If I can manage to KEEP my mouth shut I will be better off, but it's really not my personality to let crap go on without voicing my "opinion"!

No big WL to report. Been eating salads for lunch yet, but cookies for the other 8 meals each day? Kidding... Just morning and night! Ha!

Well, I got to take Ms. King out today. However, I almost dumped her. I am not sure if I just need adjustment time or what.... which brings me to my next problem with the far too close dump..... I am SOOOO sore from bootcamp. I decided that I needed to do that b/c it works for me.... and I love the strong feeling I got it from it before. However, I am sooo sore today. Lol. I am having to lower myself carefully to the potty. Lol.

I am with everyone on the yo yoing in eating. I really need to get it under control b/c my bday is coming in a few months and I don't want to spend another decade dieting.

Reda, how is BL going? So, I have some RK questions for you. Do you have a lowering kit on yours? Did you have an adjustment period on yours b/c of the bigger front end? When DH was putting my Diamond Ice stuff on my bike he did find out that I have a Stage 1 kit.... apparently it makes it quicker on the take off with a little more power than DH bike..... So, maybe that is the issue. I may just need some time alone with her so I can get used to her?


Holly, sounds like the raffel went good.... and it sounds right that someone that does not ride got the bike. I don't blame you all for getting frozen stuff next year. And if someone doesn't like it.... then hey, thats always an opening for them to do it next year. You know, I really admire your customer service skills. I can tell you rock at your job... and that is great, especially these days when it is hard to find anyone to work.... seems like customer service skills are losing to texting these days..... but I want you to know that you really seem good to the public, so don't let one or two horses rear spoil your good skills.

Colleen, I am so sorry you are having to put up with the office antics. It makes a job harder. Knock on wood, my job is not really like that... however it maybe making a turn for that way b/c they are thinking of rehiring someone that likes to "stir the pot". Sorry your DH is having a bad year. LMAO, the 8 meals of cookies.

So, I have an appt with a specialist in Memphis this coming week b/c the tummy trouble has now found my eyes. I have not been able to wear contacts in almost a week. The eye doctor said if I don't get it under control (the auto immune disorder that is causing tummy and now eye trouble) it will continue to scar my eyes....and I can't deal with that.... I have to be able to see to ride! lol. I will let you know what he says.

Well I am going to lurk around a little bit.... maybe I will find that bit of inspiration.

Bad weekend for eating. I made prime rib for DH B-day, and a BIG German Choc. cake. Also made angel food cake--the wiser choice, but I had chocolate! I really do TRY to please everyone. Some don't like the frosting on the Germ. choc., so I had the other kind too. One doesn't like prime rib, so I made some steaks too. Some don't like cheesy taters, so I made some baked ones too... It used to be a take it or leave it kind of deal--I should maintain THAT thought!

I have an iPad also, and love having it. It is harder to type on though for sure! I have lost my posts several times too. It also is not as functional in getting back to where you can edit what you have posted. Like on FB, if I mess something up, it just has to stay that way until I get to the normal computer to fix it!

We have our next vacation booked. This time a cruise. Going to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, and Cayman Islands. With the USA, 5 countries in a week! Looking forward to the trip! We have been on 1 other cruise before we were married--like 14+ years ago!

Hi Gals Well I am down to 249. Last week I was 252 lbs, the week before I was at 262. We worked out 1 hour a day almost every day last week.

Aaron is down 13 pounds!!! whoa, that is great

Well, I went to doctor today.... Good news is the doctor said he thinks he can help.... Bad news...... I went to pick up my meds and w my insurance... It's 756.00 a month!!!!!!. You can imagine my shock. I didn't get the meds. They are supposed to send me a "few" samples..... But after that I won't be able to take it.

Enough about that. I am starting fresh tomorrow counting calories and going to bootcamp. Maybe weight loss will help. I have gained 30 pounds since August . I guess 3 rounds Of steroids are not all to blame.... So I have to quit whining and get back to it.
Are any of y'all able to get FitPal? If so, let me know....

I am gonna get off here for now.

Tammy - yay for the good news... but OMG at the cost of the meds!!

I also had my "first day" on program yesterday. Going to do the ol' faithful South Beach thing. I looked at my journal from last year, and I started South Beach on Jan. 27th of last year, there must be a lock in my head that 'clicks' during this week of January I was encouraged to look at the next four weeks and I stuck to SB and lost 7 pounds by the last week of February.

Went grocery shopping yesterday and got lots of my SB basics, yay that red and green peppers were on sale! Romaine lettuce, lots of canned beans and tomato products for the "stewp" I make (it's stew/soup) sugar free jello to mix with my yogurt, etc. Means I have to start bringing my little containers of food to work, eat in 3 minutes while hiding on the stairs, enduring the comments from my a-hole co-workers and employers, but that's what it takes.

I want to try to stay off the scale for as long as I can, as that messes me up so bad! Don't know how long I'll be able to do that but I'll try.

As of yesterday I had TWO days on program, I haven't done that since last April! Not a speck of flour or sugar (Splenda in my coffee though, and whatever is in my sugar free jello)

I did try steel cut oats for the first time ever yesterday, they do take a little while to cook (like 20-ish minutes) but I liked them, they are like little grains and very chewy. I like regular oatmeal too. I made a four serving pot and divided it up into containers to microwave. I had a 1/2 cup yesterday with some yogurt and it kept me OK til I could eat lunch at work, almost 2 pm.

Is it still brutally cold for anyone else? right now it's a little above 0. Now, anything above 0 seems tolerable!!

Hi all. That 10 pounds a month was working so good I quit. At this rate of regaining I will be going to work in my underwear, as no pants will fit!

I KNOW what to do... I just have been doing naughty eating instead for no reason at all. No explanation. I know it, and do it anyway! WHY? Why do we sabotage our diets this way?!

Stayed in with DH and watched a season of TV shows all day! My big outing was to get the mail!

Wow, Tammy, those meds are expensive! Hope they find a more reasonably priced option for you soon!

Though I am hopeful for myself, this will be day 4 of being on program. Yesterday was a big test, it was very busy at work, and there were many times I would have grabbed a cookie, broken it up and eaten it in-between customers but I held strong!!

All the veggies I'm eating, though, even with taking the Beano, are making me with gas

I have to go in an hour early for work today, at least it's not THREE hours early like last Sunday!

Tomorrow, I think i have to call someone to pump our septic tank, I've been getting whiiffs of suspicious sewer smell. At first, truly, I though it was because of the afore-mentioned veggies effect on me...then I looked up in our records and its been almost 5 years. Hope it's not a problem because of winter.

holly, I am soooo sorry to laugh at your expense.... But I had a good one. I guess just picturing u behind the deli counter ... But I have to tell u I am no ...... For some reason part of my tummy troubles and my DH so kindly pointed out my boiled egg added to the tummy troubles.... Leaves him .....but hopefully the meds will help. Seriously.... I hope your sewer isn't having trouble.

Ugggh. I have a terrible head cold coming on! Dayquil kind of a day! Might be a NyQuil kind of night. Another day of TV with DH. We're almost finished with season 3 of White Collar. We both like the show--that is something to behold right there! He's more John Wayne, and I'm more Oprah!!

I've been playing "Draw Something" on the iPad...so fun! Some pretty smart random players out there! Also a few that you have to go easy on!!

Tammy, I can relate to your previous post... Last week I made White Chicken Chili. Very good! Just NOT a good idea to eat it several days in a row.
