Sherry 02-06-2003 03:07 PM

Howdy Ya'll

I know I'll get a lot of fussing from my friends here....... it's a wonder that big mouth Debbie didn't already tell ya'll....( ) But I didn't go to the Dr yesterday! I was so busy at work with all the sick kids I'm sending home....it was just too wild to leave! But guess what? I AM feeling a little better today so I may just give it another week and see.

Well no School again today!! What's so funny is.....THERE'S NO SNOW!!!! The weather station was calling for some...but it missed us!! They called the Schools off too early! TOO FUNNY! But hey...I have enjoyed a paid day off!!

Debbie,
Where's the snow???? LOL!! Oh I know, Ramona has it all!!! I hope your back is feeling better and you've been resting. You're gonna have to tell James to quit being so rough with you!! LMAO!!

Vicki,
Your post sounded like the old Vicki!! You sounded so good and happy! :) Wow...what a busy, busy girl!! I'm so proud of you for starting your own business.Don't get too busy for us though!!

Donna,

Lisa,
WTG on the good news about your Mom!!! :bravo: I'm so happy for you & your family!!! Give her a BIG,BIG hug!!! That's sweet of you that you're going to send the Dr. a TY note!!!

Shelley,
I'm sorry about the blow-out with your MIL.I'm so lucky that I have a good one.I love both my In-Laws so much.Maye one day she'll realize how good you are to her Son!! She needs to wake-up!!

Dee (Titan Card Fan),
How did it go with your new dentist today?I hope that you're still thinking about moving to TN? Hopefully you'll start getting your retirement money soon!!

Dee,
You & Larry are so cute together! What a nice couple! Thanks so much for the pictures! Larry is so romantic! You are lucky! If I turned off the lights and lite candles for Wayne....he would asked if I paid the light bill!!! No romantic bones in that Man!!! But I love him so I guess I'll keep him! ;)

Ramona,
Your move idea wasn't meant to be so please don't get yourself down about it.I think one of my problems is the worry of bills,Chris in college, etc. So just be in dept like everyone else is.Sad huh? I worry about EVERYTHING and after awhile it takes it toll on me.Wayne has no worries whats so ever.He is the type that NOTHING bothers him.Just always so happy-go-lucky. Make me sick!

Jeanne,

Sherry, sherry, sherry....It's a good thing we have all this snow or I would be headed to Tennessee to personally take you to the Dr. I thought I was bad about going.....ok, you can have ONE MORE WEEK and then you better be your old self or we'll all come and drag you to your appointment!!!! LOL

"Talk" to you all later.....better get back to work.

Deelite 02-06-2003 05:25 PM

Lisa I am so happy to hear the good news about your mom. My mom has been battling with breast cancer since last spring. She had a lumpectomy and some of her nodes removed. She is in the middle of her chemo treatments right now and the she will need radiation.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Jackie pulled through her brain surgery. She is fine right now but we don't have any more results.

Sherry I am with Ramona, we will give you one more week to get better. You know that depression just doesn't go away. It is a chemical imbalance.

Debbie isn't it nice to get an extra day off with pay? No snow yet?

Ramona it is hard for me to get excited about snow fall but I am sure that it must look pretty up in the mountains.

Shelley it was probably good for you to have it out with your MIL. Now it is off your chest. Sounds like you have been doing better with your tummy problems this week.

Well I got to go. Hello to everyone else I didn't get to post to. Oh yeah did you want me to ship you the coconuts Gayle?

DEe

Sherry 02-06-2003 05:41 PM

Dee,
I'm so happy that Jackie came through surgery fine. Prayers Do get answered!

EVERYONE: Like I said, I am feeling better today.I have never been depressed this long before and have NEVER been told that I have depression.I really don't think I need medication.I'm NOT depressed ALL the time.Just when I worry about money,Chris in college needing help, wheather or not Wayne will get the better paying job, etc. I know others get depressed too over money or other things. Thanks so much for caring about me....

Love Ya'll.........

gdeann 02-07-2003 12:10 AM

HELLO GIRLS!!!!!!!

Vickster: Nice to hear from you!!!! Thought you might of ran off again with the ol' MIL!!!!!!

Sher: I can make an appointment with my doctor here if you would like???? Please go if you are not feeling better in a week. I can understand the down feeling, it seems like everyone spends money right and left as we count every penney! The pond that I am working on is a 6 year project in the making....maybe I should call it the "frugal mud puddle" hahaha Funny one about Wayne & the electricity!!! Glad to see the old sher!!!

Donna: I read your bio and your life sounds so fun! I'm stuck out here in Kansas and it can get rather boring. Thank you for the pond info, I'm heading that way after I post. Have you seen the candy bar wrappers that you can personalize for business and special occasions? I goof around doing a bit of it from time to time, using the mini bar to the full size bar, I call it "It's a wrap!!" BTW: Your animals sound adorable!!!!!

Dee: So you really want to know why I want a coconut bra?????? :smug: I will check out a few of my catalogs and probably run into one. You better keep yours for your next bash! Thanks for the offer! Glad to hear that Jackie is doing fine!

Ramona: You are a woman of many talents!!! I never realized you were so close to your medical assistant hours. Don't you also have a teaching degree?

Dee #2: I'm being nosey here....the time that you were here, did you have a long distance relationship going on???? My memory is slipping, but it seems like I remember this?

Well, guess I better go!!! I have a ton of errands to run tomorrow plus I am working on trying to get donations for a booth that our civic organization will be having mid March.

To all of the other Floozies: Have a great day, stay OP and please, please check in!!!!;)

gdeann 02-07-2003 12:43 AM

Hey Donna, I tried clicking on the link, but I could never pull up anything. Is there something else I need to do??

mzbhavin 02-07-2003 07:39 AM

Gayle....You always make me laugh...You know how I love the dear old girl.....

Nice to see some new people joining and hope to meet you all soon...I am usually here but of late have been distracted from my friends here. But I am baccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkk

bootwoman 02-07-2003 09:36 AM

Gayle, I don't have a teaching degree. I was a substitute teacher back in the 80's when you only had to have two years of college. I taught English and Science in the Middle School. Subs are required to have a degree now. I don't see that happening for me. I don't have the patience for the "little darlings" anymore! LOL
I would very much like to finish my MA degree. One of these days........maybe.

Ramona

Titan Card Fan 02-07-2003 10:44 AM

First of all, dentist report. I'm definitely in the market for a different one again. Either that or they give the dentist I asked for originally. I'm suppose to go back in 2 weeks for a filling, but have pretty much decided that ain't happening. I need to get hold of the insurance and see if there are any more in this area that are on the plan. I've also thought of going drastic and contacting the dentist in Metropolis. He would be the closest one to Nashville in this plan.

Retirement -- I finally figured out why the large descrepancy that I found on some papers. After being away for 6 weeks, I'd forgotten that you have to read between the lines to figure out what the government is doing.

Gayle: yes your memory is correct. I was very much involved in a long distance relationship. I still hear from him occasionally, but!
Now I've made contact with another former classmate. It's too early to see how they will go. He's currently in the Nashville area which is where I was hoping to move all along so who knows.

Sherry & Debbie: Hope you enjoyed your day off. I couldn't believe they would close school, because they thought it might snow. Did you get any at all? I guess I will bring my snow blower when I move.

Gotta run. I have a lunch date today. It's burger buddie day at the grandkids' school, and grandma gets the honors -- of course I have to buy!! Ha. The Sonic just reopened a couple of days ago (had been closed for 'forgetting' to pay their state taxes) so I have orders to bring that! It's fun though I get totally amazed how different the schools are today.

Deelite 02-07-2003 05:05 PM

Debbie I can't believe that schools would shut down because it might snow. That sounds so funny. Gee if we had that happen we wouldn't have school from november to end of march or april. I guess we just get use to driving in it.

Sherry your to funny about not paying your power bill. We even had romantic dinner with the kids since they have been tiny. We have them at least once a week but each one is special. Now about you not going to the doctor, if you feel depressed or sad for more than a week you should go to the doc. It is common to feel sad once in awhile but not for longer than a week.

Titin Dee I am not fond of dentists either. I am alergic to the anastetic. So I have to do it cold turkey. How is your work coping with everything now?

Ramona I was just thinking about your boys and wondering how they are doing? With the pending war I know that this has to be hard on you.

Donna thanks for the compliment on my writing. I am not a writer, I just have a lot of time on my hands....lol

Gayle you sure are a busy women. What is this about wrappers of bars? Never heard of that here. How's the wine going.......going down really good? Do you have another kit started?

Just wanted to let you know that yesterday when Dez came home from school she had bad news. One of her fellow friends and students killed himself the night before. He was only 16. His twin brother came home and found him hanging. How very sad. The school is very shock up.

Well got to go make dinner. Hope everyone has a really good weekend.

DEE

bootwoman 02-07-2003 05:50 PM

Dee, thanks for asking about my sons. As of right now, they are still in the states. Ben is pretty safe with the Secret Service duty, but Dan could be called any day. We just take it one day at a time. Please tell Dez how sorry I am about her friend. How sad for his brother to find him that way......sad, sad.

Sherry 02-07-2003 07:07 PM

Ramona,
Thank you for answering about your Son Dan. I had asked you about him in my last post but guess you didn't see it. I was worried about him.Like you said, take one day at a time and pray!I'll also keep him & all of our hero's in my prayers.

Dee,
Please give Dez an extra hug tonight.I'm so sorry to hear about her dear friend.I hope that she'll be ok. I'll say an extra prayer for his family & friends tonight.God Bless them all.

To all the other floozies.....I'll post more later tonight.I've got to start dinner now.Say a prayer for our country and our fellow brave men & woman that are fighting hard for us all.

Love & Hugs....

Deelite 02-07-2003 09:23 PM

I am sitting here all alone and I thought that I would post. I am not feeling great. Larry and I went out to a trading post near the river. It was in the open and it is very windy out. We both were hurrying to get out of the cold and I felt something go wrong. I got such bad chest pain again. We had to come home, I couldn't go any further. Now I just have to rest til it goes away. Larry took Dez out to look for a pair of runners.
Dez isn't doing to bad. It just hits home since she was in the same predicament a couple of years ago when she tried to commit suicide twice. Gee that was a tough time. Well she is out of her depression and is feeling better now.
Someone is at the door I better go.

DEE

gdeann 02-08-2003 12:31 AM

Dee: PLEASE take care of yourself!!!! Sounds like maybe you should take a day or two and just sit and relax. Tell Dez I am truly sorry about her friend and give her an extra hug from me. Such a horrible waste of a young life. I feel so sorry for the family, this is something that his brother will never forget.

ShelleyM 02-08-2003 08:24 AM

Dee-Please rest today. You know when you need to, because you are very in tune with your body!! With everything going on in your life right now, your heart seems to be taking in the stress. I'm thinking with your heart troubles, maybe that is how you deal with the stress??? Please give Dez a hug for me too. I know you have had to deal with her suicide attempt and it sounds like she needs extra care right now. Okay---I'll get off my soapbox now:soap:

Sherry-Do you have to makeup the snow days? I know we do when we have hurricane days. Maybe right now it wouldn't hurt to take an anti-depressant. Or at least go to the health food store and get some St. John's Wort. It never worked for me, but some people say it does.

Donna-I haven't read your bio---I'll go over and do it right after I post here. I love the name of your business and the reason behind it.

Well-Yesterday it happened. Someone at school told me that I look like I am GAINING WEIGHT!!! Now I feel like I need to cover my big fat a@@ all the time!! Talk about depression!! I guess these 7 lbs are beginning to show. I need to start buckling down again. I was hoping just jogging 25 miles a week would help, but I guess I need to get back on the old WW band wagon before it gets out of hand!! I am PMSing right now, so I will wait before I really get serious. My problem is if I lose too much, it shows so much in my face. I would like to get back down to my WW goal weight. I think also that some of the weight I've put on is that my food is not going right through me now that I am in remission with my UC. Before everything slipped on through!! Maybe I'm better off sick;)

Titan-I need to go to the dentist badly. I just can't afford it, even with insurance. I make sure the kids go and take care of their's, so hubby and I can't go!! I have 3 broken teeth. Fortunatly you can't see them because they are in the back of my mouth, so I can hold off until they really start hurting!

Ramona-In Fla, even the aides have to have a 2 year degree now. When they start asking the office staff for the same, I'll be having to find another job!! I never went to college. I only wish I did, and I can't afford to go back.

Got to go do some laundry before I jog!!

Talk to you later.

Deelite 02-08-2003 10:03 AM

Just poping in to let you know that the chest pain has eased off. I rested lat night after I got home. Watched two movies. I feel a twinge of pain in the center of my chest but feeling much better. Thanks for yur concern. I will take it easy today and see what tomorrow brings. This is really a blessing in disguise! It makes us take another look at what is important in life. That is one of the reasons Larry and I don't wait for tomorrow to do anything tha t we want to do. That includes the special romantic meals, traveling, visiting friends and family, just taking the day off for the beach.....etc.
Thank you for your hugs and prayers for Dez. She seems to be doing ok right now. I know that her emotions will be up and down for the next bit.
Ramona I will continure to pray for Dan and Ben. I think of them often and then I think what it would be like to be a mother of two boys in the army with a war at hand. Be strong Ramona.
Shelley from what I have seen of your pics you look great. I was a little concerned before when you were losing to much and you could see it in your face. Maybe lose a couple of pounds but don't go to low.
Well I hope you all enjoy your day. I am signing off so I can give my pc to hubby to get more ram.

DEE

DebbieA 02-08-2003 10:21 AM

Morning girls

Hope everyone has a great weekend planned, full of family and friends.

Dee......Glad you are feeling better!! :D I agree with you about not putting a lot things off until tomorrow when it comes to love ones. There is so many special things that we can do that doesn't even take a lot of money. Hugs for Dez!!!

Shelley.....People can be so rude sometimes. I'm sure your 7 pounds doesn't show that much and you will get them back off soon. You have done great keeping your weight off. :D We have one more snow day, after that we have to make up any days missed.

Sherry.....Hope you are feeling better. I'm ready for spring!!:D Getting back to Curves , I'm sure will make both of us feel a lot better.

Donna.....I love your quote at the end of your last post. One day last week when I was down in my back, I watched the Oprah show. It was about miracles for people that was so much worse off than me. Really gave me a new additude about being down about my health.

Ramona....... I pray for your sons and all the men and women that are defending our country. God Bless them!!

Gayle....How is the weather there? We are expecting more snow tomorrow night, hope we don;t have to go to school all summer...LOL.

Love to all my floozie friends!!

:dancer: Debbie :dancer:

Jennelle 02-08-2003 01:08 PM

My goodness! I'm gone for two or three days and I've got at least an hour's worth of reading on my hands! Y'all have been busy! Hopefully I will find the time this afternoon to read all the posts.

I got my first "Have you lost weight?" yesterday! :D My team teacher asked...

gdeann 02-08-2003 03:53 PM

WEIGH to go Jennelle!!!!! It must be showing!!!!! Nice after all your hard work, huh??

Dee: Happy to hear that your feeling a bit better, I agree with Shelley, it's stress. Try to relax more over the next few days.

Shelley: This hug {{{HUG}}} is for you girl!!!! Don't let some super model wann-be rain on your parade!!!! I bet the comment was made out jealousy!!! In all honesty, the 7 pounds can not show up that much. People can be rude and overbearing, try to overlook the comment and focus on how great you have done and will continue to do!!!! If you need me to, I will travel to Florida and whip the ol' gal beck into place for messing with ya!!!!

Deb: warm here again today!!! We have had days that it is yard work weather only to have snow falling the next!!! Here in Kansas we have a certain amount of days alotted as snow days.

Sher: I say, send Drew to a movie, light a candle or two, dress in something sexy and you might be surprised how Wayne will react!!!! Sex sells baby!!!!!

Vickster: You sound like you are soooooo busy!!! BTW: How do you charge with the daycare? Per day or hour? Also, may I ask how much?

Ramona: I can just imagine how heavy your heart must be now. To know that you have two sons that could possibly go to war. I am saying prayers for all of our service men and women, your boys included too.

Dee#2: (gotta come up with a new title for you) Hmmm...maybe retired Dee? Your new relationship sounds so interesting!!! I wish you the very best!!!!!

Well girls, all of you not posting.....please check in so we know how life is treating you!!!!

Hubby brewed a batch of beer today and I will be bottling a batch of wine next week. Have any of you tried Perry? It is a wine made with pears instead of grapes. We tried some this past week and it is FANTASTIC!!!!! The real kicker, it was less then $4.00 per bottle!!!! hic*hic*hic*

Deelite 02-08-2003 06:25 PM

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

What would you do if the doctor told you, that you had 6-8 weeks to live?

Or he could help you live for 10 months to 18 with some suffering.

Oh boy, how sad! That is exactly what the doctor said. Remember my friend of the family Jackie? Well that is what her life expectancy is. They can give her radiation and chemo right away and she will have a bit more time to kill here. She will lose her speach and end up in palative care. The good thing is death shouldn't be painful. She is 59. This will take some time before the shock wears off. She didn't except this bad of news either.

Oh a happier note guess what I did today?

I sat by the roaring fire (to keep warm, it is freezing here.....brrr) and drank beer with tomatoe juice (cuts down the calories) and listened to Zamphir love songs. How about that for relaxing? Just what the doctor ordered! I knew that today was not a day that I could move about a lot so I made the best of it. For dinner tonight we ordered chinese food, which Larry is on his way to pick up. As you can tell I am not on program today! It is a thank you dinner to the kids for helping out at my birthday party.

Well better get back to that cozy fire.......just have to wait for my hubby now so I have someone to cuddle besides Amigo.

DEE

Sherry 02-09-2003 12:33 AM

Howdy

My Mom & Dad are in Florida for a 10 day trip.I went over to their house today and did some DEEP cleaning!! I even washed her curtains and ironed them! I'm one tired floozie!! But boy will Mom be surprised when she gets home!!:o

Dee.........So sorry to hear about your friend Jackie.I will pray for her. I wish that Dr.'s didn't tell people things like that! They aren't God! They told my Mom 8 years ago at Vanderbilt that without a liver transplant, she wouldn't live pass a year! Her liver is holding it's own now.She does have good & bad days but she has beaten the odds the Dr.'s gave her.Like I said, I will pray for Jackie. (Also...glad to hear that you're feeling better!) :)

Debbie........Are we going to get that snow that they are saying tomorrow??? Heck...we may not be able to go to Florida this summer.....we'll still be in School!!

Shelley.......We have 5 snow days built in.We have used 4 so far!

Was going to post to everyone but I'm about to pass out!
More tommorrow!!

Nighty Night!!
Sherry (Sher-Bear)

Sherry 02-09-2003 12:38 AM

Oh I forgot..........

Gayle,
I DON'T have anything sexy I could get this fat butt into!!! If I did try to squeeze my bod into it....it may turn Wayne OFF!!
(Hey...good idea! I may try to wear it afterall!! ) LMAO!!!

Sherry 02-09-2003 12:45 AM

I might as well start a new thread before going to bed......

STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please go to #89..................A New Thread Has Been Started!!!!!! :cb:
