Default How to Stay Confident and Positive?

Lately I've been quite depressed because I'm just starting my weightloss journey and I feel like I "can't" be happy with life until I'm back to a more comfortable weight. Like when I go out, everyone will judge me, I don't deserve to buy nice clothes until I lose weight, I shouldn't bother trying to keep myself looking nice because it won't make a difference atm. I need a way to get back to being positive. I hate having these thoughts. Have any of you experienced this? Any suggestions?

Well I can say that I have those days (usually when I see a gain on the scale) where I just want to stay at home. If I have to go out on those days i just wear the most comfortable clothes I have (loose jeans and a comfy hoodie). During the day I just keep reminding myself of where I was when I started and where I am now, and that each loss is bringing me closer to my goal. Usually by the time I get home I'm in a much better frame of mind. Since you're just starting, maybe you could concentrate on your goal body and try to motivate yourself?

If you keep chipping away you will see the difference in time, there really is no need to rush.

Good luck with your weightloss journey and don't give up!

I experience this a lot. The thing is, you just need to somehow push through and believe it's temporary since you will lose weight and you will succeed. I noticed how when I wasn't really trying to lose weight, that I left all these feelings really interfere with my current relationship with my S.O and it wasn't good.

We all need to go out and do fun things, and just you need to write down all those feelings and then try to let them go even for one day. I just tell myself when i'm having that kind of day, that the feelings will pass and I will feel different tomorrow.

Also I will say, it also helps when you have at least one outfit you know fits you, that isn't too big and isn't too small. I would strive for that. I know half my battle with those feelings was not having anything to wear that fit.

I hope this helps.
