Hi all!

Level 2 - Track All Food Eaten On FitDay - Day 3 Completed
Level 3 - No Fast Food - Day 3 Completed

Feels 'good' to be accountable for my food intake again, tracking calories really forces me to think before I eat or graze. I really want to stick with it again.

I hear ya Red I have a lot of the same feelings about fitting in work with eating appropriately and cooking. I also live alone and moved to a new city two years ago to start a new career. Working long days and coming home late motivates me to look for a quick, usually unhealthy, option that doesn't take much effort. While I do like cooking, I HATE cooking for myself. I'm starting to make meals on the Sunday for the week and portioning out. I'm hoping this will become a behavior instead of a chore in my life. Just looking for ways to get back in control.

Good luck all!

Walk a dog, Day 3 complete, 2 pauses left.
Calorie bank: 800
I had to crank up the calorie bank, although the good news is very little of it is beer. But I went out to dinner last night and ate a lot. I went out with family and there was a woman along with us who I only just met. (she is visiting from Europe) She is really really skinny and she did not order any food. She just nibbled on her fiances meal. I'm wondering if she has an eating disorder. Anyway, I brought it up because I was thinking maybe that is how to be thin, refuse some meals. Tremendous self control. BUT she really is TOO skinny, and I love food too much. I think because we rarely ate out growing up I can't pass up a resturaunt experience.
Red, I'm with you on the tank. I am pretty muscular and the more I work out, the more muscular I get. I bet I'd look pretty awesome if I could get rid of all the fat covering my luggy-ness. But in a weight lifter way. Tank like.
OK, I have to skip out of here. Later chicks!

No smoking -- Round 5 -- 8 days completed
Calorie watch challenge -- Day 10 completed

PinkSnowDays 01-05-2011 10:14 PM

Completed everything today again!

Level 2 - Track All Food Eaten On FitDay - Day 4 Completed
Level 3 - No Fast Food - Day 4 Completed

No fast food was rough today... haven't been sleeping well and was at work for 12 hours today, driving home exhausted it was so temping to stop. Came home and over ate... but at least it wasn't terrible greased up food. I can't believe how often I used to stop and eat so bad this past year. Work just piled on so fast and life just got too stressful I reached for the quickest options. I bet there was weeks I picked up dinner up to 4 or 5 times a week. Time to get and STAY back in control.

Hope today was better for you Red! Head up!
Hi all!!

Here we go with the calorie bank again. Climbing up! Unfortunately I am also in the habit of sleeping late, so it doesn't look like I'll be chipping away at that today. And I had better take a dog right now or it isn't going to happen.
Have a great day everyone!

You would think I'd go out and do something about those calories, especially since I did pretty much NOTHING today. I'm still using winter break as an excuse and I'll buckle down on Monday. I have some happy dogs though.
Way to go Pink, you'll find it's harder to cave in when your past 5 or 6 days!
Red, I've been avoiding the scale....

derrydaughter 01-07-2011 09:52 PM

Darn it. I'm back to day 1, round 2 again.
I'm struggling. I need this, it is good for me. Why can't I get it done?

PinkSnowDays 01-07-2011 10:51 PM

Gotta start moving! Another excuse: Can't find my i-pod, and I won't go jogging with out it.

PinkSnowDays 01-09-2011 07:33 PM

Hi all! Whew first week back on track and lost 5 pounds! :carrot:... kinda shows how unhealthy my lifestyle had become... but still excited!

Took a pause day on the fast food on Saturday as I had to head out of town and picked up lunch on the drive. Ate a ton a calories Saturday too... but at least I'm holding myself accountable for them... baby steps :)

Apple, hope you find your ipod soon! I'm the same way just keeps me going, loose steam quick without music motivation! What kind of dogs do you have? I just got a puppy this past summer and it has got me up off my butt every night going to a walk, good motivation! I like that challenge!

Level 2 - Track All Food Eaten On FitDay - Day 8 Completed

Sorry, people. I am just not in a good way. My weight is up and my skin is bad again. Oh, well, I've been knocking myself out at the gym and eating a lot of junk. What do I expect? Sigh. Gotta fight!!

I took a pause on the dog walk. I 'm feeling really lazy. I'm also feeling sorry for myself because our winter break is almost over and we hardly did anything. It's partly my fault and it's also a bit selfish. My kids really like to just hang out and play with friends or what ever. Most of the things I think are fun require long car drives and they aren't too excited about that either. I really have to just do stuff on my own. Join a hiking club or something. Go on Audubon trips.
Anyway, school starts tomorrow, and I have to start my exercise challenge too. It's been pretty cold and foggy here, so I'm curious about a swim tomorrow....and I'm supposed to run but still no ipod. It's not the music, it's the nike plus thingy I have attached to it that logs my milage. If I run with out it I won't "officially" log the miles. Still some time to find it though.
Hey, where's Red?

Apple Blossom 01-10-2011 03:11 AM

I just found out that the pool is closed for maintenance and is "expected" to re open in late Jan. I don't know why I felt compelled post this, but I guess I'll be going to the gym tomorrow instead. 'Nite all!
