Just a quick check in before bed. I did very well today with food and water, but I did not get my workout in this afternoon. I am just exhausted.

Shad - We do not have a date set yet. He just says after we can afford a house. We're not even officially engaged yet, but I do have a promise ring that he gave me 2 years ago. This December will be our 4th anniversary. I can't imagine spending a fortune on a wedding. I definitely want a small wedding. I don't have a chef or anything in the family, but I do have close friends that could be our DJ and photographer. Other than that I have no other details. It probably won't be for another few years.

Goodnight everyone.

happy2bme 11-05-2010 08:22 AM

Good morning all,

I'm running a bit late this morning and we have a birthday luncheon today so probably won't get back until tonight. Quick drive by and hellos to all :moped:

Kasey - I had a very small wedding - 25 guests. The only thing I regret is that I don't have good pictures - just some candid shots from friends and family. Weddings can get crazy out of control. It's hard getting into that first house - even if it's a buyers market right now. Seems like you never have enough saved up. But you'll get there.

Shad - loved the pictures of the new garden. It's looking so pretty!!!! Oh and the new bathtub is fiberglass - about 80 pounds - we lifted it like a feather. Not at all like the cast iron lug he pulled out ALL ON HIS OWN! :dizzy::dizzy:

Ceejay - glad you are back with us on the Internet side.

Annie - you hit it on the mark - big monitor - everyone can see all that you view. Has it's good and bad points.

Ok - gotta run. Love to the rest will catch up later. Happy Friday ladies.

annie175 11-05-2010 09:51 AM

Oh Shadlet....sorry about the friends you made and will miss....it is always about the people, good or bad, never about the stinkin' job. You should be on holiday yourself while not working.

Zoochick...I got married at the JP. 7 people were present. That is about as small of a wedding as it gets. I did have one H*ll of a reception tho. Cake, booze, bandm presents, and about 125 people.

Ceejay....welcome back to chickland and work....keep us posted on the mayor race.

Happy...have fun at the birthday lunch, I usually tend to eat too much. blah Love the big monitor, it does face me and my back wall, so I will have a chance to minimize before anyone can see and no sneaking up on me either my doorway is to the left of me.

Have a marvy weekend all ya'll.

Love and hugs

Good morning all,

Today is my work from home day! :woohoo: DH and I are going to pick up the inversion machine after he gets home from work, and he'll get it put together tonight or tomorrow so I can start hangin' around! Tomorrow evening, we're supposed to go to a wedding reception for DH's cousin and her husband (they got married a couple months ago in Vegas). He doesn't want to go. He's been estranged from that side of the family for years, and I guess he wants to continue that way. I'd like to meet them and get to know them. He seems to like his cousins...it's his uncles he has a hard time with. I've tried a couple times to get him to change his mind...but nope. So we'll be getting stuff done around the house, prepping for the next season that's getting here faster than I'd like (we had sleet/freezing rain yesterday).

I talked with my PTs about using Zumba as a reward...they both said that's a good idea...but I need to make sure that I don't do ANYTHING that causes pain, especially something that causes pain for DAYS like Monday's Zumba class did. BTW, my back and hip are finally doing pretty good. Hip is a little sore when I walk, but not excruciating.

Happy - Good luck with your ciphering. I had to do some ciphering myself. We have the more expensive HMO, but with our health concerns/issues....my blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and my back...and DH's chronic knee/leg pain...it's the plan that works best for us. It's no wonder that your DH is in pain if he's pulling out cast iron tubs! I hope he's doing okay now.

Annie - Congrats on the new monitor. And you're right...bigger means easier for you to see (and for others to see too). But it's good that no one can sneak up behind ya'. People sneak up behind me all the time. Sorry that you're getting screwed by insurance too...without even giving you dinner or a kiss first!

Kasey - Glad that training went well. I'm in all day training for 4 days next week. Congrats on the weight loss!! I love Pandora on my phone too. I've noticed it takes my battery down though. Good for you on the food and water intake! My DH and I wanted a very small wedding...so we went away to get married and just took our parents and our best friends stood up with us. Then the following weekend, we had a reception party in our backyard with approx. 50 guests.

Shad - Sorry that yesterday was so rough for you. That was B.S. how they handled the termination of your contract. Nice that Mick is concerned about you and trying to get you work. I understand what you mean about not caring if you don't work until after the holidays. Will your DS1 come home for the holidays? Nice that your co-worker uses and appreciates the Excel spreadsheet you put together.

Ceejay - Hope you have a great Friday!

Mel - I hope you are doing okay and have a restful day and weekend.

Lots to do, so I'd better get to it.

Love and hugs,

zoochick777 11-05-2010 12:59 PM

Today is just dragging by. The training this morning that was only supposed to last 2 hours is still going on (I'm about to finish up my lunch break and head back). Food isn't too good today. I forgot my lunch so ate the cafeteria lunch (grilled cheese and french fries). Oh well, I'll just eat a healthy dinner and work it off in the morning.

Happy: I just started a real full-time job in January, then switched to this full time job where I am making a little more money. My BF is still working on his undergrad so he barely gets paid anything right now. Once he graduates it will be easier since he will be an accountant. We are both still living with our parents to save money, so as of right now I'm able to put 1200 into my savings every month. But I just started doing that this month. The money I saved with my last job went to a new car and to grad school. Hope you have fun at the luncheon.

Annie: Your reception sounds like it was a lot of fun!

Michelle: Glad you're feeling better.

Well I gotta run. I have to be back in the library in 1 minute!

ceejay52 11-05-2010 01:06 PM

Hello's to Michelle and MEl I see the egg lights on above me.

Hopfully the ISP pproblem has been resolved. I just finished a conversation with a Verizon tech. We shall see. He thinks that it was with the old plan I had with the unlimited minutes with alltel. Thankfully I grandfathered in on this plan but the new device is programed to kick me off line when I reach a certain amount of minutes. Learn something new each time I talk to a techie.

Mel
Try to stay warm. It's colder today here also.

Michelle
Keep that sleet and freezing rain up your way. I'm not ready for that yet. It is suppose to get down to 29 degree's tonight. I keep seeing those inverted table's advertised on tv. Not sure if i'd like those. Got my fair share of being inverted going to the ear, nose and throat doctor.

Happy
Did you get the insurance ordeal resolved as to what was best for you?
wow your hubby moved a cast iron bath tub out by himself.

laura
How is your foot doing today? My heel spur was sore after all the walking we did at Silver Dollar City. I also thought about you when we went to Nixa, to my nephew's to pick up tickets for the show at Eco Hollow.

annie
I haven't thought about Peyton Manning in years. Or is this Archie Manning I'm thinking about. I know they are both good looking football players.

ceejay52 11-05-2010 07:30 PM

just got word on the Mayor's race. We re elected our previous Mayor. I'm really happy.

diyana 11-05-2010 09:17 PM

I went to the gym and did 15 minutes on the recumbent stepper, then DH and I ran some errands. After the gym, my sciatica kicked in big time. Luckily at Walmart, they had a scooter shopping cart because I could hardly walk. I wouldn't have even gone on the errands but I thought since I ordered the inversion machine, I might have to pick it up. Anyway, we got it home, and DH will put it together tomorrow. Lots more errands to run this weekend. Hopefully I will be feeling better in the morning.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!
