Gayle thank you for checking out the site. I think that he is legit. He is suppose to be the owner of this ranch. Gail was down yesterday and said that with everything going on right now with her marraige she is not about to hop a plane and see him. Thank goodness. She thinks that she has found a full time job and a place to stay for the winter.

Two big dinners coming up....one today and one tomorrow.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all.

Everyone - I'm seriously considering resigning from my school. It has just gotten to be too much. I wrote a scathing letter to the parents, and it's a good thing I slept on it before I sent it! You'd be hearing about me on the Nightly News! It basically said that 90% of the children in my class were lacking the basic core values of respect, courtesy, kindness, empathy, honesty, and a sense of work ethic. I flat out said that these were things that these children should have been taught a LONG time ago at home, and that I was tired of parents dropping their kids off at the schoolhouse door and expecting me to do THEIR job. Like I said, it's a good thing I slept on it....

Anyhow, we have Fall Break on Monday and Tuesday, so I'm going to go to my local school district and see if they have any openings for either long-term subs or teacher's aides. (I don't think they have any teaching positions open still.) There are some teaching positions open up in Memphis, but I'm not sure I want to work for the Memphis City Schools. (Out of the 95 failing schools in Tennessee, 45 of them were in Memphis.)

Afternoon girls

Mondays are hard but especially after working 10 hours yesterday. Couldn't get through this day fast enough. I was planning all day to take a nap when I got home, but I think I will just turn in early tonight.

Jennelle....I feel your pain, there wasn't a day that when by last year that I didn't want to quit. I still am shocked some times at how the kids act in public schools these days. No respect is right!! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Sherry......Only 10 more days and we are gone!!! We are going to have so much fun {but don't tell our hubbies...LOL} If it's anything like our last adventure, we will be 2 wild and crazy gals!!!

I weighed in this morning and I stayed the same. Guess somehow I was on maintance last week...LOL. I have still lost 5 pounds in the last month!!! But I'm not going to get depressed about this number thing, I am still staying OP and feeling pretty good most days. See...I know what I should do ...but don't. I need to start WALKING MORE AND DRINKING MORE WATER!! So if I don't see a change in my weight...guess it's my own fault!! Right?? All we can do is to keep trying and trying and trying!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day.
Love to all my floozie friends!! Deb

Hello Girls:

I know I haven't been around in a long time. I was sitting here all depressed and I am getting tired of feeling that way. I am not sure what I have been going through lately, but I feel like I just wanted to roll up in a ball and hibernate forever. Anyway, I decided to give this another try. Heavens knows the ole scale has been going the wrong way for sometime now and that is probably a lot of my problem.

So, I hope to pull myself out of the doldrums and get my live (such as it is) back on an upward climb instead of down in the dumps.

Thanks for listening

Carol

Carol ... I know what you mean! I am also battling a big bout of depression right now - all work-related. It's just tough all around...some days I wonder if I'll ever break free of it. Maybe I need medication?

I have had a virus for 2 days.I think I'm completely worned out. With my working, cooking, cleaning & washing PLUS working the ballgames, it doesn't take much for me to get ran down.I did work today (And ballgame yesterday) but didn't feel like it.I came home from work today and slept 3 hours! Which I never do!! I'm feeling better now but the 6 mouth ulcers I have hurt so bad!!

Carol,

How's it going with your Son being back home? Is he following the rules so far? BTW: Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! A dumb question for you: Do you celebrate it like we do Thanksgiving?

Jennelle,
Good luck on your job search.I know exactly how you feel. Some of the teachers at my school get complete feedback from their parents and some don't.It's so sad to see parents uninvolved in their kids.Whatever path you chose will be the best one.

Shelley,
How are you? It's getting real cool here.A sign that winter is right around the corner. How's the weather in Florida? I've been checking the forecast in Jacksonville so I'll know how to pack!! What did the Dr. say???????

Vicki,
Where are you? Are you ok now? I've been worried about the depressed mood you've been in.Take care hon & try to post soon.

Are you still busy too? Leave that newsletter along for a sec & post!!! We have all kinda slack off some on our posting & we need to get back in the groove!!! Have you talked to Wanda lately?

Ramona,
Are you over your poison ivy? You know what I want to buy with my next check? COWBOY boots!!!! I've never had a pair and always wanted some! So here at 42, I'm going for it!!! Any tips that I should know before I buy them?

Good news: I weighed this morning and I'm down ANOTHER lb.!!!! It's now 171 1/2 since July 29th when I weighed 183. It's coming off slow but I'm happy!!! The scale is starting to be my best friend again!!

Hope to see everyone posting soon!!

Love to all,
Sherry (Sher-Bear)

I want to share this cute joke that I found under the "Lighten Up" forum. It's so cute & funny!!

THREE LITTLE PIGS

Three Little Pigs went out to dinner one night. The waiter comes and takes their drink order.

"I would like a Sprite," said the first little piggy. "I would like a Coke," said the second little piggy. "I want water, lots and lots of water," said the third little piggy.

The drinks are brought out and the waiter takes their orders for dinner. "I want a nice big steak," said the first piggy.
"I would like the salad plate," said the second piggy. "I want water, lots and lots of water," said the third little piggy.

The meals were brought out and a while later the waiter approached the table and asked if the piggies would like any dessert.

"I want a banana split," said the first piggy. "I want a root beer float," said the second piggy. "I want water, lots and lots of water," exclaimed the third little piggy.

"Pardon me for asking," said the waiter, "but why have you only ordered water"?

You're gonna hate me for this....

The third piggy says -

"Well, somebody has to go 'Wee, wee, wee, all the way home!'"

Good morning all........
Yesterday was a disaster as far as eating goes. I woke up hungry and just never got over it. If it wasn't nailed down, I ate it!!!!! Today will be better. I think I am just getting a little edgy about ds coming home from basic training. I know he has really grown up, but I'm afraid of what will happen when he gets back with some of his friends. I wanted comfort food, but all it did was make me want to barf!!!!!(sorry for being graphic)

The weather here is just beautiful and the leaves should be turning soon. I love fall, but it always puts me in a somewhat melancholy mood; don't know why.

Carol, it was good to hear from you. I hope you are able to break out of your gloom mood soon. Keep coming back here; it will help.

Jennele, I hope whatever you decide, you will be happy and content.

Vicki, how are things with your family?

Debbie and Sherry, way to go with the eating program. You are both doing great and I know you will have a great time in Florida.

Shelley, how's the tummy, honey? Did you go to the doctor?

Debyj, let us know about that job interview.

Dee, I hope things are calm and cool in your house. Maybe your ds has learned from his mistakes and all will be better.

Gayle, how u doin'? You have been so busy lately. Are you taking some time just for you?

The poison ivy is all gone. It was a very mild case.
I'm still doing the Sansone tapes at least 4 times a week. I have even surprised myself!!! I must say, I feel so much better both physically and mentally after I finish exercising. You would think that alone would motivate me to do it more often. LOL

Well, I better get busy and get some invoices out so I can get some checks coming in! Ya'll have a great day!

Love,
Ramona

Sherry - There is some stuff you can buy at the pharmacy called Kanka (I think that's what it's called) that is GREAT for mouth sores! I get them all the time, especially when I'm stressed out. It comes in a bottle that looks sort of like a Super Glue bottle. You put a couple of drops on the sore, and it numbs it and forms a protective coating over it so that you can eat and not have it hurt so badly. The only real side effect is that if you have to use a lot of it (for a lot of mouth sores at once) it will make you drool for a while!

I've decided that I can't give up on the kids who DO need me, so I'm staying at my school for the time being. I'm trying everything in my bag of tricks...we'll see what happens. If it is still unbearable by the end of this quarter, I'll throw in the towel.

Gayle, I meant to answer you the other day when you asked about all the things the seniors have to buy. Unfortunately, I don't know of anyway out of it. Between, pix, cap and gown, prom, invitations, etc. we probably spent about 700 dollars. On top of all that, ds #2 was 1/2 credit short and didn't even get to walk the line! I still have his cap and gown in the original bag and the box of unused invitations. That was a real kick in the pants! I hope you figure out some way to make it less painful on the pocket book. Good luck!
