1. 7 fruit/veggies per day - DAY 7 (2/3 pauses left)
2. Get fresh air twice per day - DAY 7 (1/1 pauses left)
3. PT exercises for arms - DAY 6 (1/1 pauses left)

PLUS I have an NSV -- I was able to raise my arm over my head for the first time today. No reaching yet, but it's a big deal for me!

elaine -- good to see you here. I was wondering if we'd lost you. And doing fine! Way to go!
SeaWave -- You too and congrats on the NSV!! Tell me, are you able to swim at all? I can imagine how awful it must be to not be able to exercise. Perhaps you can't yet, eh? Do you know when you'll be able to?

jolly -- Thanks! Whoops, I don't remember that deep-fried challenge. Good one! Right now, I'm ok but for a while I was having a bit too much of that myself. Continued success!

Morning all. I need positive vibes, a good kick in the arse, or just some perspective. It is "that time of the month." I hate using that as an excuse. but I woke up cramping, crabby, and craving. Grrrrr I don't wanna - work out, eat right, have the personality of anything other than a just woke up grizzly. HELP Add to that, school starting Thursday is already making me feel pressed for time. I have to get it together, or I could lose all the healthy changes I have made.

Everyone else, ahve a better day than the bear (that's ME : ).

redballoon - No, no swimming yet. Stitches are still healing, and I start radiation therapy in September. I want to start aqua fitness after that.

jollygirl - consider yourself kicked! When it was my TOM, I used to find drinking something warm (tea, coffee, whatever) helped a lot with the cramps. Hang in there!

Thanks for the kicks all. Made it through the day ok, with no bodies strewn along the wayside. Even managed to convince myself a granny smith apple tasted JUST LIKE chocolate!!! OK. Not really, but I didn't cave in to cravings.

Have a good night all

Good morning all. Wishing everyone a good day. Most of my attitude from yesterday is gone, thank goodness. Though the cramps are still here, lord love them.

Just posting quick now, as I may not have time tonight. Late work function, and earlier than usual morning tomorrow with school starting. Time to get back in the groove. I did take a few extra moments this morning to get a wii workout in after breakfast, so still on track with workouts for the day. Just need to meet my food challenges.

See y'all later

For Tuesday (Aug 24th) and Wednesday (Aug 25th) since no one else has posted yet...
1. 7 fruit/veggies per day - DAY 9 (2/3 pauses left)
2. Get fresh air twice per day - DAY 9 (1/1 pauses left)
3. PT exercises for arms - DAY 8 (1/1 pauses left)
4. Pencil in my menu for the next day -- Day 1 (3/3 pauses left)

Sending positive vibes to everyone for today, and !

redballon, you were talking about your successful mind games on Aug 23rd, and yesterday jollygirl had chocolate-tasting granny smiths! I'm not worthy! (Mind you, I like the taste of granny smith apples, so I guess I don't need jollygirl's formula for *that* particular issue. Hey jolly, anything to make oatmeal taste like chocolate???)

(ETA fourth goal) (edited again to add today's info!)

1) Daily posting - day 5, 3/3 pauses left
2) Follow exercise plan - day 5, 3/3 pauses left
3) No deep fried foods - day 5, 3/3 pauses left
4) Follow menu - day 5, 3/3 pauses left

Well, off to bed for a short night sleep, then up early because of classes starting tomorrow. Yikes I can not wait for the day I am at the point I feel comfortable only working out 5 days a week, so I don't lose extra sleep on school nights. There's a goal!

Have a good one all.

Sitting here waiting for my first class to start. Feel a little lost in my new school building. Should've left a trail of bread crumbs, I think. Good to be back though.

Stayed on track today. Should meet all my goals, unless I go crazy for fried foods later. hope everyone is having a good day
