I've had a good week on the scales- today I got below 84kg for the first time on this 'journey'.

Mentally not so great.
Not able to exercise this week and I'm missing it. Getting down about not having a job. Have been out of work for over a year now (although I've only been looking for about 5 months). I have had a number of interviews - at the end of the cycle they say 'We don't have approval to add the headcount yet' or sometimes no phone call to tell me I've been unsuccessful after 3 interviews.
NOw I'm not even getting to interview stage.
The thing is I am great - last year I was working in a regional role after my role finished in Australia. I was working for one of the most respected companies in the world. Now I am getting lots of morale hits. It has to be a season of blah so that I enjoy the season of great that follows it.

I am glad atleast I can lose the weight and have a good control over my diet.

That's tough cookc04, I was off work for several months looking after my mum and I missed it incredibly. Hang in there.

Amy, that sounds scary.. hope things resolve now and settle down for you.

I am a good girl - been staying off the scales and just got home from the gym.. it was 10pm and I said "bed or gym?"...and went to the gym.

Got some new kittens.. they are driving me nuts, won't stay off the laptop, the crazy lil critters!

Ah Kittens already discovered the laptop.
My cat thinks that the laptop is her day spa... foot massage, and heat fan.

Yeah Amy - hang in there and don't stress about it too much. Far out AVO against family! what drama!

Speaking of kitties. I'm gonna be a grandma woohoo. My Persians - Reuben and Tinker are going to be parents very soon. She is bulging and i can feel them wiggle inside her. one litter then they will both be fixed up

. i have two words for ya..
wardrobe malfunction...!!!!
NEXT TIME i go cycling please remind me not to..
1 wear a new untested bra..
2 wear a low cut bra.
3 wear a low cut top
4 stand with my whole boob out at the traffic lights for all the world to see
or
5 not realise until there was a poor unsuspecting family pulling up and pointing and laughing..

this has beena public safety reminder for us all... lol

I lost 0.5kg this week, happy that it's continuing.

i have been good all week .. i cant see me being good at all this week end there will be too much food and drink to be good lol .

i turn 30 tommorrow .. and me and the girls are going out to dinner and the movies.. and im predicting some drink will be involved.. then sunday i do the family celebration.. then monday.. i gio out with the girls again... hehehehe just to put the cherry on the top of turning 30 3 day celebration.. John won a 1 hr hummer limo ride that i can only take mon-thurs.. so we choose the monday then we are going out for lunch and shopping hahahaha.. cant see that helping with weightloss ..

but hey you only turn 30 once i guess

I remember my 30th birthday - had a nice picnic in a National Park, and we forgot to get the booze out of the car. I can't imagine how we didn't stop and wonder where the booze was, we even had a couple of Irish lads with us, we must have been having had a good time without it.

Today's my first day back at work after taking bereavement leave and it feels a little odd being here. Can't get very motivated so am pleased that it's Friday.

As for the weight battle, I have decided that it starts again right here, right now. Have won a major battle with myself today in that I was really craving jelly beans after my lunch (the cafe sells little bags of them for $1) but I stayed strong and got myself a diet coke instead.

Had to go to Minneapolis for a work meeting for the night. Gorgeous hotel room, best hotel bathroom ever! Had a nice dinner with some Alaskan halibut fish and steamed veggies. Skipped the appetizer and dessert. Had some red wine.

Must come back here some weekend to hit the Mall of America!

Hoping kitties aren't breaking themselves or the house, I head back tomorrow afternoon.

Off to watch some TV in the bath now...

I travelled to China a lot last year and was able to stay in some fantastic hotels, excellent service... but my favourite thing was that the top hotels seem to have a special scent... I'd step out of the taxi, the doorman would greet me by name, I'd step into the hotel from the smog, and the place would smell like heaven - Jasmine and Cherry Blossoms or something sweet like that. I never wanted to leave.

I had a great birthday and even better is the fact im down 4.5 kilos this week .... gotta love that first week back rush... :D
