Wow..it is really dark, and it is mid-morning. The worst of the storm has passed, but it is still dark. Crazy...but the flowers need rain, so we will put up with it.

Mom and I are meeting DD for lunch then going to the grocery store. That is our exciting day.

Suze- Sure hope you are over the sickies. No fun at all. And we do worry about you. I want you to be well and enjoy your vacation!!!

Sassy- *fingers crossed* for you for the job.....still.

Jules- Hope this storm has "petered" out by the time it gets to you. We had the cold weather...now the wet. I am wishing for just some MILD. I personally love around 70-75 degrees and sunny.

Cristina- I see your scales are going down....great! You do so good on the exercise. Makes me feel like a slug.

Hi to ya'll else. Hope you are having a Happy Hump Day.

Once again I am re-thinking our day to day menus and activities. I have had acid reflux and heartburn for years. Nexium helped and I did not have it for the longest time. Dr. took me off that and I have to get over the counter meds for heartburn...none of which are as effective. I have been suffering a lot lately..and it is maddening. So..I am trying to re-group and go the way my son has gone. He cured himself of heartburn by eating well. He has not had pains since he started his new WOL in Feb. He has lost around 20 pounds and is feeling better than he has in a long time.
My problem is cooking for others...so I am going to have to get them on board. I am also going to start having our "big" meal mid-day...since we are all here there is no reason not to. And I am sure we will feel better. Our "big" meal is going to consist of lighter fare too.
Wish me luck when I run my new ideas past DH....lol.

Next to conquer the exercise demon!

Talking Hi Ya Chicks!

Hey Chicks

Well I finished the 3FC's book. Was good, lots of great info. Now starting on my Fertility Dr's book. (he co-wrote a book)

I found another exercise DVD to do. I didn't even realize I had it! lol. Its Denise Austin's Daily Dozen. Each day is something different so keeps me from getting bored but dang for only being 12 minutes each, WOW she gives you a workout alright! lol. At least me!

My Blood Sugars have been normal as well. I did eat some cookies today, only 4 (they were the girl scout thin mints I have in the deep freeze) So I also did my 1 mile W.A.T.P afterward. Maybe that is how thin people stay thin by only eating a few sweets once in a while and then making sure to get some sort of exercise in after to compensate. I dunno I did it not as a punishment, but because I actually wanted too! Can u believe it?! ME??!! And I so welcomed seeing Leslie's face on W.A.T.P after doing Denise's INTENSE workouts the W.A.T.P DVD was a WELCOME to me! HA!

But exercise is starting to get easier, except for some of the really intense stuff on Denise's DVD, I still do it all, I just modify it. I can't hop and jump around all creation like she does, well yet anyways. LMAO. But it is FUN! Yes I said it, FUN. Its fun to be motivated, although I know it won't be like that everyday. I really enjoyed today's workout with Denise, it was Kickboxing, fun stuff but wow its intense. I guess that is the whole point! lol.

DH took off a few nights and we planned on going to the Zoo to see the Zoo Babies, but its been so rainy and crappy lately I dunno if we'll get too! Haven't heard anything yet from the store or the Cable Co. I figure on giving them until Friday or Monday and then giving them a buzz.

My mom is coming next weekend. She bought me some of those space-bags to help me get our hall closet organized! Its a nightmare! I feel bad though. I don't have the money to get her a Mother's Day or Bday gift (her bday is next Sunday) but I know gifts aren't everything, esp to Mother's. So maybe just a good home-cooked meal? She LOVES my spaghetti and I can make it healthy too.

I ate Veggie Burgers the other night that were recommended by a friend. BLECH. They were yucky, I ate them, but boy oh boy were they crappy. They were the Morning Star brand. Any of you have any suggestions for Veggie or Turkey Burgers? We've been trying every brand under the sun for Turkey Sausage, so far, no luck. Well we did like one that was Honeysuckle, but DH accidentally got the Italian Sausage, which we both liked a lot, but not for breakfast. lol. I plan on using that to make some meatballs when I make spaghetti.

Sue -- TRY ZEGRID its over-the-counter now. DH has intense heartburn and has for years, but Zegrid works for him! Or ask your dr for samples of the Zegrid, too see first if it works for ya. Its the same stuff over the counter now as I said DH's been on it and now we buy it over-the-counter. I take Nexium. Also if I don't have my Nexium and have intense heartburn, Mylanta Ultra works the best for me. I hope that works! I know what its like! WTG to your son for losing 20 pounds! I hope I am there soon! Big

Jules -- *Throwing her a life line* Hee hee. I hope you get yourself above water soon!

Suzy Q -- I hope your feeling better!

Hi Cristina!!

Sassy--"catching the life line"
the Morningstar veggie burgers do take some getting used to if you are still eating meat or just quit. We went vegetarian for awhile and the ones I liked were the breaded chicken patty, the black bean and the tomato basil. The mushroom one is ok. I have gotten more used to the regular grillers, don't like the prime griller. We all liked the Mornigstar sausage patties and links, the bacon is an aquired taste, its better crisper but most times I just go with turkey bacon. Teri even has JR eating the links which have always been her favorite, Dominic loves them. I use the burger crumbles for tacos, but I actually like a Quorn burger crumble better if you can find it. Quorn makes something called naked cutlets that I like. I made really low calorie Chicken Parmigiana with the naked cutlets, low calorie spaghetti sauce and low calorie cheese.

Well back to work!!

Red face Hey Chicks

Hey Chickies!

Wow I feel awful. I have this MASS HEADACHE from you know where and my throat hurts! UGH! Stupid germs from DH's work! lol. I just hope I'm not getting sick because DH took off a few days and I don't wanna be sick now!! HA! Can't I just postpone it a few days? Hmmmm? Like Sunday night, yeah I can be sick Sunday night, pls? lol. Just not now! HA! I wish it worked like that! LOL.

I feel like a big ole slacker too. I just got up a little bit ago, I laid down to try to feel better to no avail. Haven't walked or worked out yet either and I need too. I figure as long as I am not "praying to the porcelain Gods" than I can workout. Makes me mad cuz my BFF called and her and her little girl went to the park and I could have went but oh no I got to be sick and was sleeping! lol. Her little girl is so cute! She talked to me on the phone (she is 2) and we were talking about what Doggies say (Woof!) and what Kitties say (Meow) and then her Mom asked her what Cows say and she goes Mooooo. LOL. She even tried to say my name "She-a" (Thats pretty good for her age and kids have the toughest time with my name!) Oh my that just made my whole day! Aren't little ones just the cutest?

Jules -- Thanks for the suggestions! I saw Morning Star Sausage at Costco and was wondering about them. I do have some what they call, "Naked Nuggets" that are pretty good as well. We haven't quit eating meat just trying different things. Trying to be healthier. So I appreciate all the advice we can get!! I really feel like this time its gonna work for me. I honestly do. Thanks to all my dear sweet friends

I just want to enjoy life and living and I feel like for the first time in a LONG time, I honestly feel like I am doing so. Even though I need to get out more, that is for sure! But this crazy weather makes it difficult. OH my PEONIES and Rhododendron have bloomed! I am waiting for my Rose Bush to bloom and take a pic of that and then I will post pics on my Facebook to share. Also another Wild flower is blooming in the back yard that I have no clue of what it is, maybe one of you can help me on that. It has purple flowers on it. I'll post it once my rose bush blooms. Kinda figure may as well wait and post them all together!

No word from anybody yet, job wise. I think I'm gonna call tomorrow if I don't hear from them by 3 pm. I'm done waiting. Cuz we need the money! If they can't offer me a job by now then I need to think about going to Wendys. I don't want too, not that there is anything at all wrong with working at fast food, I just don't want to tempt myself on it. I already stopped there a while back to apply and was in the parking lot and was tempted to eat there, so I left without applying. Thats when the grocery store called and I figured it was sign. But still no job offer even though she said she was just waiting on the list of postions. Now do you all think that could be an excuse to not hire me? Because I figure if she wasn't interested, then she would have just said, "Well it was nice to meet you, we are going to be doing more interviews, so I will give you a call." Rather than said, "Call me on Friday (last Friday) to see if I have the list of positions yet" I called and she acted like I was bothering her even though she TOLD me to call her! Then she was like, "I don't have the list yet, I will call YOU when I get them!"

I dunno but either way I'm calling tomorrow. I figure she owes me an explanation either way its been a WEEK. Just freakin tell me WOMAN so I know do I have to go work at Wendy's and be tempted by fast food or NOT!! (DH already spoke to the Manager at Wendy's and he just said to put in my application any time and I pretty much would have the job) so that is why I say that.

UGH. Why can't the freakin cable co. or someone call me? I left messages for the cable co. and still no word! People irritate me! I mean come on, they know people need work now a days! I was so dumb to quit my job! I know I can't cry over spilled milk now, but I was so dumb! I should have stayed! Oh well could be worse I could be homeless and hungry. At least we got that.

I dunno whats the matter with me. Feeling sorry for myself I guess. That gets you no where fast I know. Wish I could find a way to make money from home. Can't really babysit because my DH sleeps during the day. I could babysit from another persons house but even that is a hard thing to find now a days for money that I can live on. If I could only do like medical transcription or something. Hmmmm. I know my friend I think does that on the side. Maybe I can talk to her. See what she had to do.

If I could work from home then I wouldn't have to make a whole of money, just enough to help out with some bills. Plus I wouldn't have to stand all day either like I would at the store or fast food.

I guess I need to do some research and just stop feeling sorry for myself. So that is what I am going to do. Thanks for listening ladies, you are all the BEST!

Hello all...

Hugs to all who need them!

My week has sucked! Mothers day sucked, BD sucked, anniversary sucked and the rest of the week has sucked! Pretty sure the weekend will suck as well, lmao! Supposed to start raining tonight thru the weekend and DS is moving out, oh joy...no fun moving in the rain. Anyway...

Will try to catch up tomorrow when I finally will have some time to spend on the computer, well, after I help son move. Glad he doesn't have a lot of stuff. But will probably still take the better halr of the day...in between a footbal and soccer game...if it doesn't rain.

Have a GREAT weekend!

Cristina- Sorry you had a sucky week....but really sorry that I missed wishing you a happy birthday and happy anniversary. No excuse...I am just a slug lately.
Sorry your days were not so good...

Sassy- Hope you heard from one of the jobs, or got a line on another. As for working from home..DD does medical transcription from home for hospitals and Dr. offices. SHe started working for a lady, took a home study course and then bought the lady out of her business. Your DH should ask at the hospital what kind of service they use for transcribing. I know there are jobs listed online, but you have to be careful of those...some are ok, some are not.

Gotta do a quick drive by here......past my bedtime. I got a new laptop today and I played all day...lol Talk tomorrow.

Talking Good Afternoon Ladies!

Good Afternoon Ladies!!!

GUESS WHAT???!!!! I WALKED 2 MILES IN MY W.A.T.P!!!! Dunno if I can do it EVERYDAY, YET, but I aim to try for twice a week to start out!!! But man if I can walk 2 miles a day at least 5 days a week (once I get built up too it) that would be 12 miles a week with walking 1 mile each on the other 2 days. I think that my dr would like that! HA! lol.

Well we took DH to the dentist on Thursday, he has an abscessed tooth. So the dentist gave him Amoxicillin and some Ibuprofen. He has an appt next week with an Oral Surgeon to get the tooth extracted. The dentist didn't want to pull it since it was so infected and also DH's other teeth are not in good shape, he has a tooth disease that makes his teeth extra brittle.

Sue -- No word yet. Thats a good idea, I will have DH ask at work. Thanks! I did apply to a co. that my old co I worked for did tech support for. They are hiring Administration/Office and Customer Service to work from home for $9 an hr. So I'm hoping when they see I worked at my old co for 4.5 yrs and that I'm familiar with them, that maybe I'll get a chance and get to work from home! I just hope its not too technical but from the job description it doesn't sound like it. Sounds like a lot like what I used to do so pls wish me luck!

Hi Suzy Q!!! I hope you enjoy your trip! Can't wait to see the pictures!

Hi to everybody else out there! I hope your all well!

Happy Sunday All!

Not much going on with me. Was very busy yesterday with helping the son move...weather never does cooperate does it? It rained most of the morning but we managed to get stuff moved...took longer than we anticipated but it's done. So weird the son not being here...too quiet! But...Lily has a new room! Well, it will be a guest/baby room. Going to go get a crib and get rid of the playpen...she never sleeps in it anway. Going to paint the room as well and will need new bedding for the bed. Had decided on a shade of purple, more lilac but rethinking and am considering a light yellow. We'll see...

SASSY...ouch, sorry about the hubby's tooth, hope he feels better soon! And sorry you haven't heard anything about the job...waiting sucks! WTG on the walking!

SUSAN...oh man, forgot it is Tuesday you are leaving! That book sounds familiar, thinking I added it to my list of books to read. Let me know how you like it.

SUE...daughter was going to do the same. One of the hospitals here has a program. You start out there and after 6 month's if you are keeping up and doing well they let you work from home. If I could type that fast I would do it.

WI is tomorrow, ugh! I've been pigging out, sort of treating myself for all week birthday/md/anni pigfest...too much crap for sure. It is what it is though so...

Well, hoping everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I am going to go do another load of clothes, watch some more stupid movies on SyFy, read some and then make some pasta for sons first dinner in his new apartment...he's supposed to come by later and get it, that and I made some brownies...he better come soon before those brownies start disappearing, lol!

Later chickies!

Cristina -- Yeah I think it rained when DH and I moved into this house. Its like it just has to be crappy when your out moving. Thats exciting that Lily has a new room, well partly hers at least. hee hee. Yeah I just think I'm supposed to wait for the right job or maybe I'm supposed to get pregnant or who knows! At least that is what DH tells me. I think he is just being nice and not telling me, "Honey your a big stinking loser and nobody wants you." lol. I hope your son enjoys his dinner and his brownies -- Yum!

Have a Good Night!

Talking Good Afternoon!

Good Afternoon Girls!

Well today I did my 1 mile to W.A.T.P. My legs were just too tired to do 2 today. So I am thinking tomorrow on working on Upper Body to give my legs a rest.

I WI today and was 1.6 pounds less. At least its not another gain like last time! DH WI and he has lost 12 POUNDS!!! But with his tooth and all he hasn't been eating that much. BUT DAMN! I know men lose weight faster than women but WOW!!!! I just feel like a snail. I know that is part of my PCOS and plus being a diabetic, thats a double whammy. But I dunno I just thought it would come off faster.... Oh well a loss is a loss and I shouldn't complain.

Wow I guess everybody is busy today! I hope you all are doing well!

Big to everybody out there who needs them right now!!!
