Reda, hi :hug: how did Karl do the other night? and I have A WEEK OFF before I go to the ick winter job, yay.

I'm doing okay, my life really hasn't been that shook up with DH's accident, just alot of driving (his work is almost an hour one way, so that's four hours of back and forth 5X a week) But yeah its that time of year for me the onset of seasonal depression, been fighting as much as I can.

DH hasn't had any seizures, just everything hurts still.

I'll try to be better about checking in here!!

Just dropping in to let everyone know that I have an interveiw on Monday. I had just sent my resume & cover letter this last weekend & they called already today. They wanted to do the interveiw this week but I told them I needed to have time to get a backup for my daycare. Maybe i will hear back from other places this week as well.

Friday i had my tooth pulled. I decided to go ahead & bowl saturday nite. I also decided to drink. I bowled above average all 3 games. I think we are the loudest team cuz we just don't care how we do we just want to have fun.

Well Friday night Karl got a 4th and 7th ( he was in 3rd but transmission broke coming out of corner right before the checkered flag so he only lost a few positions. Saturday he got 2nd and then 8th it was just a rough night and lots of cars so 8th was good as well- They finally said no more races this year so we are officially done- whooo hoooo it was getting very cold

Holly oh a week off what will you do?? I hope the depression does not get to bad for you this year- I am hoping for lots of sunshine for the little bit of daylight that we do get.

I know..a whole week off!! BUT the almost FOUR HOURS daily of driving DH back and forth to work is pretty damn sucky. I'm trying so hard to be positive about it ('at least I have a car that works; at least I'm healthy to drive him) but it's wearing thin. Especially that I am inspired to do some more cleaning out/throwing out and I can only do it when DH is not home.

...plus today I had to drive to the next big town to register a used car, so add 50 miles to that...felt like I was in the freakin car all day. BUT all along I was saying "I'm so glad I have a car that is running" (and grateful to have limbs to operate the car ) and I am trying to get some big cleaning/decluttering projects done, but it is so hard to schedule it in between everything.

someone told me 'soon this will all just be a memory and you'll be saying I'm so glad it's over' - can't wait for that time!!

I had a horrible temper tantrum today...just stupid things kept happening to keep me from trying to clean a part of the bathroom...I lost my cool, and I kicked the bathroom garbage can into the corner, knocked a poor plant down, toppled some other things, let loose with some ripe four letter words...unfortunately younger son was downstairs and probably thinks I'm insane. And the dog was cowering from me, that sucks!!

tymaboy - what are your options for replacing your pulled tooth? I have to go through that decision in about a month.

The interveiw is for a secretary/ reception job at the college. My neighbor said I should apply at IBM. They are new to dubuque & hiring like crazy. He said he will help me with my resume & cover letter. He also works there so he can put in a good word for me as well.

With my tooth it needed a crown & possibly a rootcanel too. The dentist wasn't sure if a root canal would fix it either & said it may need to be pulled. Considering the money & how much I love the dentist ( not ) I decided just to have it pulled I didn't want to spend the money to try & fix it just to find out it needed to be pulled in the long run. It hasn't bothered me much today but i feel the strings from the stitches that are real annoying.

I got a call from the school today. Ds & his girlfriend got suspended for fighting. It's only 1 day unless the school feels that if their attitude is ok then they can go back on thursday. But if not then it can be longer. When ds goes back to school dh & i need to go in & talk with them to discuss what has happened & probably what. They will do if it happens again. Dh & i are not very thrilled with ds right now.

Thanks for the :hug::hug: for you all. There will be 2 services for my dad--one in Texas where he is, and another in Wisconsin where a lot of his family is. He has 2 kids in Florida. I'm hanging in there. I'm sure it will be different when funeral time (Monday) gets here.

Tammy, Congratulations on the job! Tymaboy--I want to say that to you too! Good luck on the interview! Sell yourself--Your worthy of that job--remind them of that! Sorry to hear about DS's antics. Kids!

A week off Holly! Wow--you will probably get bored at your house...come on over--you can kick my trash can if you want to! :p I remember getting so mad at NOISE that I threw a pan lid at the floor, then I was really mad because I bent it, and I loved that pan! Better a pan than a kid though!

Oh boy, I have been good at getting rid of some more stuff around here!! of course it's only when DH is not here, because he is a hoarder!! I got rid of a 30 gallon trashbag full and antoher of half that size, stuffed full of tee shirts that DH will never wear again. And two boxes (size of beer cases) full of kitchen stuff - a blender he bought but NEVER used, a George Foreman grill that he bought but NEVER used, baking pans, etc. I love our Transfer station - all that stuff above? they charged me $1.50 to drop it off, woohoo!

today was great because DH drove himself to work!!! that freed up almost 4 hours for me, it was awesome.

I feel much more like myself. Maybe this was a short depression bout. Hopefully!

Colleen, I am so sorry for what you are going to have to go through the next few days. I will keep you in my thoughts. I agree with you on the friends....and I think we discussed it a long time ago. It is nice to have internet friends. IMO, internet friends are different than others.

Holly, LMAO about the throwing things away when DH is gone. I remember last year you doing the same. AND, girl.... you just kick all the trash cans you want.... everyone needs to have a little screaming, kicking, fit every now and then.
I don't blame you a bit for mourning about your bike. It was beautiful! I hope you can get one you like as well or better...... even though we all know it will not be the same.

CC- Are you getting your old bike back? Thanks for the comment on my son. He does look good. I chatted with him on FB today and he was very sad about being there. I would think he would be happier..... he is coming home in 7 days..... so I talked to him a bit about him being strong and what he wanted to do when he goet home.

Well, I put in 70 hours in the last 5 days. The dispatch job is a lot to learn, but I like it.

Hope everyone is doing good. We have had a crazy week. DS got susspended from school. He is now no longer to have any contact wth her & he is finding out who his true friends are (they had alot of the same friends) He has lost 6 lbs since Tuesday. He hardly eats & when he does feels sick afterwards. I feel so bad I dont know what to do about it but I have to admit I am not heart broken that they are not together. Several months ago they almost broke up (again) cuz she got mad & slapped him in the face. He was pissed about it (as I was) but they made up. She admitted to punching him in the face twice this time, he says she didnt (we think he is covering for her) but he was wrong as well for restraining her on the field instead of letting her go like he should have. They are both lucky that the police was not called. Since getting my tooth pulled I have only been eating high carb foods (softest stuff I can find) & I have not gained. I contribute that to stress. I could handle loosing the 6 lbs DS has but he really does not need to loose any. I just hope it all passes quickly.

I had a phone interview yesterday. It was threw Volt services for an admin. assistant. After I answered her questions she told me the position is at John Deere. Boy do I hope they call! My neighbor is also helping me with my cover letter & resume to apply at IBM. IBM moved to Dbq. about a year ago & is still doing a lot of hiring. IBM would be a good place to get in at too (I think)

I go back to work for the icky place today :devil: eh, it's a job, and doesn't require much brain power. I know alot of customers are going to ask about my bike though. I don't know what to say. Just maybe 'no riding til next spring'. I don't know how much energy i want to put into an explanation.

Husband still hurts all over He says its 'agony.'. I am just not good at being sympathetic for a long time :( Like I remember I pretty much bounced back after being knocked off my bike. I know i didn't get a fractured skull, or hit as hard as he. What is wrong with me!? that I am not constantly fussing over him - but when I don't feel good, I don't want anyone near me, I just want it over with. I guess I am dealing with what millions of others do, a temporary blip in life's nice routine and I just have to deal with it. I know I'm lucky he's able to work, even though he missed two days he is salary so he was paid for them. I'm just feeling so negative, or just 'not caring' about alot right now.

at least I"ve been working out , (but not eating right,what else is new) 6 days in a row, today will make 7 days in a row.

So DH is requiring attention - why is that? Guys get hurt or sick and it is the end of teh world, we get hurt or sick and just want to be left alone.....
Glad Joe is able to be back to work and all - I would think he would be feeling somewhat better by now but I do have to say when Karl rolled his car end of end and side over side it did take him quite a few weeks to start feeling better.

well the first day at the icky job was not that bad...I tackled some cleaning projects, so that I would see the clean places when I come in today :) it was nice to have customers welcome me back. Oh and the irritating older lady who works there? she said, 'welcome back Holly' and then scurried over to the boss and said, 'I said welcome back to Holly!' :rolleyes: She's such a suck up :devil:

Reda, that makes me feel somewhat better, to know that even a younger person such as your son, had to have time to feel better after a jarring accident.

tymaboy, did you get the call you wanted? and yes IBM is a big employer, I would think you'd get some good benefits.
