Tymaboy I started bowling last week as well - Ladies league. First game was 126 2nd game 97 and 3rd game 107 so not bad but not real good either

Much better then me. 1st game 56 2nd game 47 & last game an 87. The other couple on our team likes to play cards while bowling. If you get a spare you get to pick up 1 card if you get a strike you get 2 cards. At the end of the game whomever has the best hand (poker) wins. They dont play for money its just for fun & a motivator to bowl well. My last game is when I final got spares & a strike. I was all excited I finaly got some cards.

good morning chicks, I finally have a day off :carrot: and have a long list of 'to do's". Working out should be my first goal; I will check back soon to let you know what I did :cool:

We made it back from Vegas! Wonderful trip! Loved it! Even won a little cash! I was a winner--$1100 the first night! Of course that was realliquated to more gambling so we eventually lost that too! DH was the worst offender of losing $ though! DH liked the scenery of mostly naked girls dancing on the bars, and the female dealers were scantly dressed as well! I liked the $14 drinks in the shape of a football! 1 knocked me right on my ear! That was fun for 3 nights! We did rent a Harley to go to Hoover Dam. Know I know what it feels like to be drug through the desert on a bike! Not quite as comfy as our Ultra Classic. Sore butt, knees and everything! The food was great. A little TOO great for a dieter! We bought into a timeshare. Seemed like a good idea at the time! I do hope it will be something we will make use of. The kids were excited, as we gave them a week to use too! We stayed at the Golden Nugget in the OLD strip on Fremont St. It was very nice. We never got bored! Hated to come home to reality and work.

well I did work out this morning, and gots lots done but not as much as needed...WHY doesnt anyone else notice that there is foul evil smelling liquid in the bottom of the garbage pail??? empty it, , bleach it, air-dry..seems the whole day was full of stuff like that. But I got laundry done and hung out on the line (a beautiful day) cleaned up in here a bit, a little grocery shopping, CLEANED THE HECK OUT OF MY BIKE, she is glittering!!! Now gonna reward myself and go for a ride!!

there might be a FR*ST tonight...NOOOOOOO!!! I have alot of plants on the deck to protect...ugh!! gimme a break, Mother Nature!

Made it out on the bike. Trying to get as much in as I can before it gets to cold. During our ride we saw deer, felt like we were part of the video game Frogger & went on a gravel road for the 1st time. My visor kept fogging up cuz we would hit a cold spot then a warm spot. I cracked it open a little so it would stop. Before I thought to open it a bit I was glad I was following my friend cuz his tail lite was what I was following.

good morning chicks, boy I am groggy this morning, need more coffee!! I MISS the early light of summer so much. Much milder here this morning than yesterday; yesterday it was 39, now it's 59.

DD has found a job, although seasonal, might help them to get by for now. The kids were pretty happy about the idea of a vacation that the super nice room is paid for already!! I was surprised to hear of thier grand ideas of foreign places to visit. I was thinking of places in the good ol' USA!! They dream big!

Vacation has been hard on me. I just want to sleep! More sleep! And More yet would be nice! DH was sure to make sure I was up early (before 8!)every day. I explained that Vegas is all about the night life...he just didn't get it! If he was up, I should be too! I'm catching up!

Holly--50?!! I would have never guessed! You look more like 30! Good for you! I thought I was the "old gal" on line! Hehe! I'm 45.

I was thinking of you Tymaboy! Last night DD and DD in law-almost, went to Menards. On the way back it was rainy, and FROGGY!! I must have hit 20 frogs! Poor things--they were all commiting suicide, jumping into the traffic! Could of been a horrible squish hitting them on the cycle. Ick!

Better frogs than deer though!

Bad diet day yesterday. Started off okay, but was killed off soon with mac and cheese (with a salad though ;)) at lunch followed by Chinese buffet at supper. With all that--might as well have ice cream right! Back on track today. Not counting points like on WW. I got the idea. I can LIE to myself with or without the point system! Getting there!

Well girls pretty much got the website done just waiting for the belts to get here to put on there then I will have it published. Been getting my rooms switched around so that I can have a table with the sewing machine and a small desk for computer and printer. Hopefully by this time next week the website will be up and running :)

OK well Amazing Race starts tonight and DH is glad Desperate Housewives starts he is hooked on that but not me

Hi chicks!!

I've been 'scared straght' into realizing I have to get back to regular workouts. My left knee has been hurting! sometimes I have to stop and just pause and carefully walk...like an old person! I am just hoping it is because my leg muscles aren't as strong and hopefully it is not something more serious with the knee.

and my on-going dental stuff - well had the dentist appt. weeks ago, they gave me the referral to the oral surgeon and that appt isn't til tomorrow, so its been weeks of coping since I bravely made the decision to go..just a pain ya know. I am looking forward to getting things taken care of; but not looking forward to oral surgery and paying for it all. oh well!!

rained all night and drizzly now, no bike today. I think the foliage is beautiful but who can tell wtih the clouds and gray.

Good morning ladies. Not much happening here. Havent rode much this last week, been raining. I had the itch to take it out so when DH wanted to go to Menards I took the bike then stopped at the bank afterwards. Dh rebuilt the railing that goes around our driveway, it had been hit a few too many times. We had to replace it cuz if it gave out when someone was hanging on it they would fall 6ft or more onto our back patio area. He did a good job, its built much better then who ever built the last one. We think now if a car hits it it will dent the car instead moving the railing like before. I usualy dont like helping DH with projects cuz he wants things done his way but I did help cut some of the pieces for it & he needed me to line up the spindles & hold them in place while he screwed them in.

I only bowl every other Saturday. This Saturday is the nite that we should bowl but we (my team only) are bowling on Friday instead cuz Homecoming is this Saturday. I hope I do better this week. If I had more time I would like to go out & practice on the weekends that I dont bowl but there never seems to be enough time on the weekends.

G'mornin'. Darn Packers! Made us lose $50! We bet future DIL the Packers would beat the Bears! If the Packers would have won, she was going to wash our camper--that would have taken hours! Darn. I'm dissapointed! Now guess who gets to wash the camper!:p

We haven't been on our cycle for weeks! Last one was in Vegas, and I didn't enjoy the ride with numb butt and desert air. This weekend there is a Fall ride that we are thinking we will go on. Not that we should be riding, as there are so many more things to do...but...the work will still be there for us when we come back!

Reda, you are ambitious--you'll have your own business at home making stuff! Eventually maybe you can quit your day job! I would like some hair combs--metal ones. Would you consider doing those too? What other kind of goodies will you sell?

Holly, Good luck at the dentist. My left knee must be feeling the pain of your left knee. Hurts for no apparent reason!

Tymaboy, nice that you were able to help DH with the fence. It wouldn't be good to fall to the patio! For liability reasons--it's good you have a nice sturdy one in place now! (insurance on the brain)

Tammy, are you out there? How is the training going? Have a PT test to pass soon?

Where whould be the best place to look for a formal dress on line? I need the super-sized, tent shaped one in black yet for DS wedding. It's not for a while yet, but the other Mom has already gotten her dress (in tiny, strapless, black and white). Thought maybe I had better get thinking about it. Colors are bright pink, black and silver.

Colleen- I dont know what price range you are looking at. I just did a search & I am shocked at the prices that I am finding. When I searched for my wedding dress on line (6yrs ago) Prices were better then what I am finding now. Everything I wore was less then $300. I thought Mother dresses would be cheaper then what I am seeing now. It looks like the going price is around $200 or more. You could always check out Ebay too.

I have been super busy! I have been doing a lot of different things. I traded off my car.... 2 days after I put brand new tires on it..... but I got compensated for it.
I am training still. I went on a working interview today for a dispatch position in case I don't make it as an officer. I really want the officer position......
I ran 4 miles on Sunday without stopping. I really need to get the push ups under my belt.
I have not been riding a lot.... but this week is supposed to be pretty.

I am glad you are getting your teeth worked on Holly. I am also your knee is giving you problems.

Tymaboy, it sounds like you are progressing well on your riding.

Colleen, you are still a HOOT!!! I am sure you will find the perfect dress!

CC, Are you still liking your job? I see your posts on racing. Your men are doing awesome.

It is about 33 days until my DS comes home for deployment break. DS2 is giving me the typical "I have a gf" attitude. He also is MAD that I traded my Monte Carlo for what he calls a "granny mobile"..... but such is life!

I am sorry I have not addressed everything that is going on. I figure it will slow down before long...... then I will be back into daily posting.
