Good afternoon. I am sorry for everyone who is feeling sickly or just blah. That time of year I guess.
Mom is doing real well, still a little weak, but improving. We have both taken it easy today.
I put a chicken meal in the crock pot this morning then did laundry. That and rested every chance I got.
I don't know what it is about running to and fro to the hospital and SITTING for hours on end that can just put your whole system out of kilter...but it sure does.
Cristina- Yay for you getting back on track...that is what I need to do too. Okay, I just got up and dragged my trampoline out...so you got me this far. LOL Found the dvd's too.
Susan- Dang those tootsie rolls, and the little candy bars and the Twizzlers. Okay, Cristina got me thinking about walking and tramping....you got me thinking about making DH take all the leftover candy to his shop. I can do this AGAIN.
Mindee- Hope the Dr. visit went ok. Let us know.
Sassy- Girls night sounds fun. Most of my girl-friends have moved away or just drifted away. Sad. But it was fun when several of us had hubbies who worked nights. We would get together and have a good time about once a month. Some times we just stayed in and played cards, games or gabbed. Other times we just went to eat and back home with all of the kids (we all had little ones) and kept each other from going insane. We even had "hair" parties where we gave perms or frosted or colored each other's hair. Now I am really dating myself. Hahaha.
Katy- Glad Ms. Leigh had a good week-end. Pictures were great. I know you are busy with school...so proud of you. Busy seems to agree with you. My daughter also stays super busy and is good at it.(like you)
Jules- I smile every time your avatar pops up on my FB...he is so darn cute. Hope you are not TOO anxious for that snow..you and Sassy. I DO NOT want it at all. Ever. Period.
Going to stir fry a bunch of squash, mushrooms, onions, etc. to go with the chicken dish (which goes over rice) and that will be dinner. Tomorrow is grocery day for sure since I haven't gone in 2 weeks. I plan to get lots of veggies and salad fixings.
On another note...kudos to my dear hubby. He did a good job while I was so occupied this past week. He washed bedcloths and dishes for me. Even un-loaded the dishwasher more than once. (he always loads it, but usually not the opposite) He didn't complain about having to heat up leftovers for his dinner several times this week...and he kept me company during mom's procedure at the hospital. He got lucky that I came home 2 nights and cooked up some food for him to re-heat, and he even told me not to bother with that. (but I did make him his beloved biscuits and gravy to re-heat and chicken that he could warm up and use a couple diff. ways) He has certainly mellowed with age and I am reaping the benefits.

Not that he wouldn't have helped in earlier years...but he was just always super busy and didn't always notice when I was swamped.
Okay...enough from me. Hope you are all planning good things for the week-end. We have nothing, which is a good thing.
