Colleen, I agree whole heartedly with CC.... you most certainly deserve to be here! We all do not "diet" 100% of the time. I should have been done losing weight a long time ago, but I chose to live my life and make changes that I can live with for the rest of my life. They are changes that work for me. Kinda like what CC did with the vodka and crystal light. She probably would rather have her beer, but that change is something she can use and still go out. Its just the little things. Like Holly..... I would be as big as the barn if I worked in a bakery or was as food creative as she is..... but she counteracts with exercise. Just something that she can do. I suggest you find an acceptable for your mac and cheese and other favorites and run with it. You can do this....... you are a biker chick! Btw, my DH rides an Ultra Classic Standard, he traded his Road King in on it right before we went to Vegas.... he liked the Road King, but he loves the Ultra Classic (Standard) even more! I don't ride "b" much, so I can't say how well it rides. Only been on the back twice. He kids me that he does not like me to ride with him anymore b/c I try to reach around and give it gas. Lol.

CC- I am glad you got to ride..... but your front brake situation scared me.... I hope it is something minor. I know you are going to do fine with your weigh in tomorrow. Way to stand your ground and not go out tonight when you know it is temptation city and you have a splurge planned for next weekend. I am also glad that you are getting to get off the crazy morning shift.

Holly, did your DH get to ride today? I think you do a fine job in your meetings... I would soooo be a basket case! And way to go :carrot: with your scale victory! I know when spring gets here and is in full swing (and you are out of the dreadful winter job) the few pounds you have to get rid of will go away fast.

Well, I am going to relax a bit and go to sleep.

Tammy

ooo, you are playing them against each other, smart girl!

I am SOOO happy for Tammy who has been getting rides in and now Reda!! woohoo! Colleen you and me are still waiting it out aren't we :D Oh and it it congrats to your husband already, or has the decision not been made yet? (on the HD)

and Colleen I am 100% agree with what tammy said about your efforts (she says things great :D) We are all going along as best we can, even when our best is not very good. But we keep goin on. You will get your 'groove' and continue :)

DH didn't ride today, but his bike is out on the driveway ready. DS was out safely today, you all know how we worry for our kids' safety, especially on bikes and on gravely sandy COLD roads . Something else to remember with early season riding, the surface of the roads and our tires do not heat up much so there is that much less traction and grip.

Yesterday I did strip our bed and found sunny dry areas outside to put our pillows, blanket and comforter to air out and receive the bacteria-killing effects of sunlight. When I made up the bed last night and got in. OH MY it smelled sooo good and fresh. Little things to keep up going :D

Reda that drink sounds very very yummy and in-control.

well have a great night and a super Saturday

ChopperChick355 03-06-2010 09:18 AM

Ok well had WI and I lost 4.8 pounds this week - but again I have not steered off plan one bite besides the vodka/crystal light Thursday night :carrot:

Well girls it is suppose to rain today which could be good it will get rid of some of the snow and also wash some of the sand off the streets away :)

Holly hanging out the linen does sound so refreshing- but I will have to wait till it gets really nice it would be my luck that they would get muddy since my clothes line is right next to the far drive :(

tammy hope you got to relax and get a good nights sleep :)

Well we bowl tonight so am excited about that a little more exercise for me today since i seem to be lacking in that area.....

Well girls have a great Saturday and I am off to Wally World

VermontMom 03-06-2010 09:32 AM

good morning and BIG :bravo: to Reda!!! down 4.8, well you deserve it as you said you stuck to your program 100% :)

good morning Tammy and Colleen

i did a so-so workout today, just used that stepper for almost 35 minutes. It should count as just 30 minutes though cause it takes at least 5 minutes for me to start to work a sweat. Resting my right arm - I realize that it hurts so much because Eddie the dog pulled me hard on the leash 2 days ago. I hyperextended that elbow years ago and i have to be careful with it.

Gotta get ready for work, hope you all have a great day!

ChopperChick355 03-07-2010 09:53 AM

Good Sunday Morning

Well I bowled well last night - but geez it was someones birthday and they brought in a Big Cookie with frosting but NOPE I had NONE boy did I want some though and then someone at the table next to ours got a Pepperoni Pizza and let me tell you it looked so good but that is where I left it- Stayed OP all day again yesterday, my friend from MN came home yesterday so she called and when we got back to town I did go have a couple of drinks with her but of course it was my new drink that I had and you know not having beer doesn't bother me a bit I am really liking this new drink :) thank goodness

Holly hope your arm is feeling better today

 Tammy and Colleen

ladyrider72472 03-07-2010 11:05 AM

Good Morning ladies,

CC: You are doing so great. Congrats on your 4.8 pounds! That is awesome. :carrot: I did not resist tempation as well as you did yesterday. I won't elaborate on what I had..... but it was not good for the diet. I know it must have been hard to do without the cookie and pizza but think, you burned calories by bowling..... and not eating. And you proved that it could be done!

Holly: I am sorry that Eddie caused you to hyperextend your arm. I hope it gets better. I would say 35 minutes on the stepper is a decent workout.... not a so so one. It is a lot of work stepping. When I am stepping at bootcamp or doing floor exercises (like stripper moves) and my butt, legs, and hips are burning.... all I can think of is DH better appreciate the view. He is commenting on it.

Colleen: How are you?

Well, we took Ms. Dyna to the Harley shop yesterday b/c it was whining like the beginning of the wheel barron (?spell) agian. Two men rode it and could not find anything wrong with it besides the air tire pressure was too high. So, after we trailered it there, I bought a new helmet (who would have thought that losing weight would affect the fit of your helmet.... I went from a large to a freaking SMALL helmet)..... and rode it home without leather. I had 2 hoodies and DH coat on. It was not too cold, but it was freaking windy. I never thought I would wish for my weight back, but I needed it to help me fight the wind. But, I did it.... .I rode it all the way home..... 70-80mph in the wind. All 70 miles of it! I was soooo freaking tired, I fell asleep in the sunbed.... and now I look like  and I was so tired last night, but I did it! And I cleaned her up (I was soooo ashamed of how dirty she was). She was so shiney when I got done. But, I hit the pillow at 9pm last night and I did not move until DH came to make sure I was okay at 8am today.
That was my day yesterday. I am hoping to not work that hard today. Lol.

I am going to get off here. I will gab at you later.

ChopperChick355 03-07-2010 03:41 PM

Way to go Tammy - riding your bike all the way home and in the wind- I really hate wind

Now you have her all cleaned up and ready to go for that next very nice day that you can get her out :) Sunbed just reminded I should go tan, I will usually tan once a week just to keep some color going until summer gets here, let me tell you not getting here soon enough
Oh I bet your DH is LOVING the VIEW :)

Oh today I had some popcorn about 2 cups, don't know why I couldn't resist but gave in darn it :( the rest of the day I will be staying OP no questions asked

Ok well I am going to take a little nap so have a good afternoon

ladyrider72472 03-08-2010 02:50 PM

 Holly.

Colleen I saw on your FB page where you are sock. Sorry...... :barf: Hope you get better soon.

CC: I really don't consider popcorn cheating. I have a 100 calorie bag most days for snack. It is the movie popcorn that is a diet buster. But, you have done so great! It feels good when you are on a roll, huh?

It figures..... is is a Monday (bootcamp day) and it is freaking 67 and sunny!

Tammy

ChopperChick355 03-08-2010 03:41 PM

67 and sunny :) wish we were having weather like that

Ya well I have been so good about everything thing I have been eating but it will all be fine I am sure - I think I would like to lose at least another 15 pounds for right now or before summer anyways :) very doable

Well not staying on to long I have to run to the bank and want to go tan today as well so I will check back in later

\Colleen hope you are feeling better

VermontMom 03-08-2010 08:38 PM

good evening chicks :) I did not exercise yesterday, maybe it will be my one day of the month to skip. Still eating terribly. Meh. But big Yays to those who are keeping it under control!

Tammy - I am so glad you got to ride 70 miles! though in the wind, very tiring. And congrats on your smaller head    what is your new helmet like?

so if the 2 guys could not find anything wrong with the bike, it was declared A-OK I hope?

I think I want to be pro-active and take steps to get my bike ready really soon! Late last year my front brakes were making noise, and I think my last brake pads were 2 years ago so I think brake work is needed. Also an oil change and general look-over. DH is doing web work for a motorcycle shop owner so he is the man I am going to contact. I should truly take advantage of this relatively mild weather, and get my bike to his shop on one of my days off this week. He is about 23 miles away. If I put it off, I am sure that will ensure a snowstorm :p

I'm trying hard to work through some bleh feelings. Like today, of course I am excited about the thought of warmer weather and everything centering around my bike; yet I have no feelings of excitement about looking forward to any rally. Maybe because I feel I'm not 'rally clothes' ready :dunno: I do know you ladies are right that maybe I will 'click' soon, it might take getting out of the winter job where I just feel so frustrated with trying to eat right (when I have no time given to eat)

Hi Colleen! sorry to hear you're sick :(

ladyrider72472 03-09-2010 07:34 PM

Holly, I am sooo sorry you are feeling bad. I hope I did not pass the vibe through the computer. I really think that when your winter job is over things will be better for you. I know that you enjoy your summer job much better and you are appreciated for your talent there. And, we all need a day off from working out. Don't beat yourself up over it.

As far as my helmet. It is a HD glossy black helmet with kinda flamed marking but not the color of flames if that makes sense. I really like it. It was on sale.... otherwise I would not have gotten it.

CC and Colleen, I hope you two are doing okay.

Well in the land of never ending teenage issues. I had to go get DS2 from school today. He got suspended for fighting, which is not his character. He is a lover, not a fighter. Well, some kid that he has had words with before come up and sucker punched him. They had words before that but it was totally uncalled for the punch. The words were typical teenage things. So even though DS2 did not throw the first punch.... he got 3 days in school suspension. However, (keep in mind I DO NOT ADVOCATE FIGHTING), he did let them know he was not an easy target...... He is a small framed boy and the boy that punched him was quite bigger..... but DS2 got his pressure point and brought him down.... heck, I did not even know he knew where one was..... lol. But, no matter what, b/c he defended himself he got suspended.

Well, it is almost time for BL. I hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.
Holly, I am sending sunshine and warm temps to you so you can get your bike taken care of! You go girl!

ChopperChick355 03-09-2010 08:04 PM

Well Hello girls

Not much to say today except for BL is getting ready to start so I am going to make this quick and go get on treadmil while I watch :)

Well I had a taco today darn it but hey it was just 1 and I will be fine I am sure - I can tell I am losing because my jeans are getting big on me :)

Sorry to hear about DS Tammy- however I am not a fan of fighting either but when my son was going thru kids picking and picking because he is a boxer he just put up with it but one day another kid flat out punched him in the face so of course first reaction he punched the kid back and yes he got suspended as well but you know after that noone messed again - they just knew boxing code was to not hit back but hey you can only take so much...

Holly sorry you are not felling the greatest but I know as soon as you are done with winter job your spirits will be totally up :)

Hi Colleen

Talk to you later

ladyrider72472 03-10-2010 03:47 PM

Good afternoon ladies. I know not all of us are very spiffy right now.... Colleen has posted on her FB she has double pneumonia. So.... to her! Not only that but this was the time her DH was having his teeth out.... so they are both at home.... double :hug: to them. Hope they both get better soon!

Holly, I hope you are feeling a bit better. I really think the warmer weather will help a lot!

CC, Girl, one taco is not bad! You are doing sooo well! Well, not sure how much you all read other threads, but I got my butt chewed (much needed) by RockinRobin about my last few pounds. I have not been OP on the weekends and most of it is due to lack of planning.... so I am going to plan, plan, plan when I get home and quit whining about these last few pounds. I did horrible yesterday so I am going to start over and get this done. Enough already!
Btw, I told someone of your vodka drink and they are going to try it. I was bragging on how well you are doing and you are going out and things like that, but you are kicking butt and taking names.

Not a lot more going on. Knock on wood! I could use a few quiet days! Lol.

ChopperChick355 03-10-2010 05:28 PM

Well good afternoon - tonight we have our rider meeting so won't be home tonight but I am cooking supper before we go so that part is out of the way and keep me OP again today :)

Oh ya the vodka drink it is good and not to much alcohol well I don't have them put to much in mine anyways- I hope you told likes it as well :)

You know I don't read many other threads out there usually don't have lots of time, I am only involved ina couple on here....

Well Tammy sounds like the butt chewy will maybe do some good ????

Ok I will check back in later have a good night

 hope you get to feeling better Colleen

VermontMom 03-10-2010 06:56 PM

Hello chicks and thank you for the long-distance  I was feeling better by yesterday, I always just have to tell myself "you will probably feel better tomorrow" and I usually do.

Tammy, that sux about your son getting suspended when he was just defending himself!! that is wrong.

I will have to search to see where you got your butt chewed  RR surely does 'tell it like it is' , I have at times wanted to do a post somewhere else whining about my work situation and the no-eating-lunch but was afraid to get chewed out also  It does come down to our will power doesn't it :^:

Reda, I am sooo glad your jeans are floating on you!!! what a great feeling and you have done the steps and are reaping the benefits. Way to go!!

Colleen has double pneumonia? that is terrible! poor girl, long-distance  and get well soon!

well I have saved the best for last, I RODE MY BIKE TODAY :D DH was sure I could get her out of the garage by myself no problem, well you should have heard the cuss words flying when I was working her backwards over the ice, then the sucking mud, then the little depression where I couldn't get her out by rocking back n forth  thank goodness younger son was home and he helped push on the front fender and then it was smooth sailing.

She was dusty so I gave her a quick warm bath, then I got ready. I discovered I needed to Doc Bailey my boots and chaps, so they got nice and black and shiny. Taking off from our driveway is such a great feeling!! I did errands and then rode to Stowe, then back. So only about 30 some miles but was out for about an hour. It was about 47 with strong sun, so that was fine, I had jeans, chaps, long sleeved shirt, hoodie, fleece neckwarmer, and my jacket. Had heat packets in my gloves too.

It is so good for mental health to get a ride isn't it!

ladyrider72472 03-10-2010 07:23 PM

Holly, I swear a ride is so soothing for the depression monster. I am glad you got to ride! I think you handled getting it out on ice like a pro. I am not sure I could have.

CC, I forgot to tell you how awesome your loose jeans are. It will be NO time at all before you are down a few sizes. You go girl.

Well, what RR had to say really got to me..... I am going to plan and eat right.... 7 days a week. No weekends off until I am DONE and I can maintain. Even then, I need to keep the binges down. I should not have whined.... but it really is like she said, up to me. So..... I am going to get this done!

I hate to be so short.... (not that at 5'10.5 I could be short... Lol) but we have a pretty rough thunder and hail storm about an hour away.... I need to take a shower.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Tammy

ChopperChick355 03-11-2010 08:58 AM

Good Morning Girls

Well last night was our Rider Meeting and Potluck - I didn't totally loose control but I did have a cookie and some potato salad but only one spoonful and a deviled egg- so we will see what tomorrow brings.... However several of the members noticed that I had lost some weight and a few of the guys were like "you really shouldn't be losing weight because now you have not butt" I was like what and they were like seriously your butt is wasting away, and of course they are right when I lose weight I always loose in the butt and arms first- i carry most of my weight around the waist and in the boobs and I never loose the boobs so the waist is last to go :)

Yay Holly got to ride and not just around the block-You Holly I can see you just chewing some butt when you had to back out your bike through the ice then trying to rock it back n forth to get past your dip, good thing DS was home to help you out :) I want to ride but it is cloudy, rainy every freaking day and cold only 30's and only mid 30's and now they are talking the "S" word for tomorrow OMG I am so happy we are heading out of town but then it is only suppose to be in the 40's there but I will take it

yes Tammy I don't think you can ever be short not at 5'10" LOL

Well girls hope you have a wonderful day - and I will stay OP today no matter what :) I have to stay with my determination :)

ladyrider72472 03-11-2010 09:30 AM

Morning Ladies,

How are you? I am good. We survived the storms.

CC, I am sooo proud of you for staying so focused. Even though you ate a tiny bit last night..... what would you have eaten before? I can tell you are making strides! I am so sorry your butt is the first to go. My boobs are normally the first.... and trust me, I cannot spare any!

 Hi Colleen and Holly!

I have refocused today and I am going to stay on a level playing field to finish this out. I am not going to eat off plan on the weekend and starve through the week... nope..... even if I finish with this little guy :snail:--- I am going to finish!

I hope y'all have a good day.

Colleen, we need your humor in the thread. I hope you get well soon.

ChopperChick355 03-11-2010 10:59 AM

:( :cry::tantrum::tantrum::tantrum: I'm so sorry, Reda!! grrr.

and I'm glad you're losing, but I hope you lose it WHERE you want and not from where you don't

Hello Tammy, and I can feel your re-newed determination! :carrot:

Hi Colleen, Tammy is right we miss your funny, funny self here :D

well I did the Biggest Loser Cardio workout, I did Bob's part (20 minutes) and truly meant to do the Jillian part too (another 10 minutes of cardio) but I just couldn't face her. So I made myself chose something else; I did a few minutes of Denise Austin isometric ab work, then the Gilad 45 minute strength tape.

Still have to do laundry, pay and mail bills; however it is pretty nice out there so I think you know what :scooter:

VermontMom 03-12-2010 08:09 AM

good morning ladies :) I did get out and ride for a bit yesterday, sure was great.

Haven't worked out yet this morning, need to do that and then I'll check back to say what I did.

Reda - how much sn*w did you get? :(

ChopperChick355 03-12-2010 08:16 AM

Good Morning girls and HAPPY FRIDAY :)

First off snow- it snowed all day but because it was a little warmer it was nothing but slush and this morning roads are wet but no signs of snow on the roads that is, not really sure how much we got

On a good note I lost 2.2 pounds this week so not as big as last 2 weeks but it was bound to slow down at some point and I know that
Now we will be going out of town this weekend but you know what I will eat a little off plan I am sure but for the most part I am sticking to it, it really has been alot of portion control on my behalf so when we do go out to eat because it is always such huge portions we will share and I already informed him of that- during this last 3 weeks DH has lost 18 pounds so he is A OK with sharing this weekend :)

Colleen I seen DH is having garage sale today or tomorrow - sounds like he is feeling better but how about you?

Girls have a great weekend and I will check in Sunday Night when we get back

VermontMom 03-12-2010 09:31 AM

Reda - CONGRATS!! TO YOU AND DH!!! :carrot: those are awesome losses!!! glad the snow is melted, and hope you have a great weekend :D

I did the Denise Austin 'Sizzler' tape, its cardio intervals with strength intervals; but I did stepping with hand held weights as the cardio parts instead of her ahem, cheesy dancing

good morning Tammy and Colleen!

hope everyone has a great day

2times2much 03-12-2010 08:56 PM

Be safe and take care.

This pneumonia is just kicking my tail this week! I was back to see the doc for another shot in the butt to hopefully get over this! Now DH is sick too! Uggghh! I feel bad for him. He had a rummage sale planned and advertised weeks ago. We went through with it, and had a good turn out , selling some big ticket items, but we were less than organized! Tim can't eat much--soup broth has been his diet since Tuesday! I would benefit from that as well!!! I have lost a few pounds. I think it must have been the weight of any humor I had, as right now nothing is funny! Hurting, coughing, snotting...kind of dampens the spirits around here! We are happy to have finalized the house sale! It will be good to be "normal" again with 1 house to worry about. Sorry I haven't been on. I've got some catching up to do! Thank you all for the get well wishes. Sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work!

2times2much 03-14-2010 10:26 PM

New week...new spirit!

Monday is looking promising. I am able to breathe for the first time in many days! DH not doing as well. He hasn't been sick in 10 years! He's in tough shape! Back to the dentist, and maybe even to the doctor for him tomorrow. Not preparing meals has had me not eating well, but on the bright side--I lost 3 pounds! I had given up on my birthday goal, but I'm going to give it a last ditch effort to redeem myself! Even if I don't quite make it by my birthday. ;)

You all must be having a busy weekend. No doubt out on the cycles! Hope you had time to enjoy them anyway! Tim got his HD home (by trailer) and we have a few people interested in our 900 Vulcan Classic. I figured it would be the other way around--everyone would want the 1600 Vulcan Nomad.

It looked to be a beautiful day out today. From inside that is...I never went out. Hardly even moved from the couch!

Wishing you all a happy Monday! :sunny:

Hopeful8 03-14-2010 10:56 PM

Hello ladies, I'm new to this site and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a fellow lady motorcyclist. I'm new to the world of motorcycling (2 years), but my husband has been riding for a while. I just got so sick of the back seat that I decided to take the jump and learn to ride my own bike. My bike is a 2007 HD Sportster 1200 Low.

One of my goals for losing weight is to increase my stamina on those long rides. Also, since most of these motorcycling clothes are made so tight, I'd love to be able to sit on my bike w/out exposing a muffin top :) Anyway, I can't wait to start chatting with you ladies.

Safe and Happy Riding to all.

ladyrider72472 03-15-2010 09:35 AM

Good Morning Ladies,

Colleen, I am glad you are somewhat better. I am sorry that your DH is sick though. LOL about the selling stuff cheap b/c he left you at the yard sale. You go girl! Okay..... here is the tough love part. I am sooo happy you lost 3 pounds... sorry you had to get sick to do it..... but girl, you don't give up on your bday goal. Just think of how much you weighed last bday...... it was probably 20 pounds more than you do now. You are doing great. So.... don't give up! Just fast forward to Christmas this year..... you can have a good chunk of weight gone. You can ask for hawt biker girl stuff for Christmas. Baby steps! Find things that work for you. I know you love mac and cheese.... find a way to make it healthier or eat a little less of it. Find what works for you. Like for me..... when I eat spaghetti (it is made with ground turkey and high fiber spaghetti), but instead of 2 bowls, I eat one bowl with a lot of veggies underneath--- so I can have more. This is just one way "I" can do things that are okay with me.... you just work to find your niche.

Hopeful8, Welcome! It is nice to meet you. My name is Tammy.... or ladyrider. It is nice to have another lady motorcyclist here. We welcome you to talk with us any time! I soooo understand about the muffin top and riding. I love my DH with all my heart (we are still newlyweds), but I want to look hot on my bike! I ride a 2009 Dyna Superglide. I have the same kinda story as you, my DH has ridden for many years, but he bought me a bike in 06 (1996 Honda Shadow) and I have been on my own since then.
We were married in Vegas on the bikes. There is NO way I would have made it that far if I had not lost weight!

Holly, CC,- I hope you both are doing well!

I will gab at ya a little later!

Tammy

ChopperChick355 03-15-2010 05:34 PM

Hey girls, well we made it home safe and sound from Deadwood:) The weather was great while we were out there and heard the weather was great at home as well, darn it if we were home we would have been riding but it was a great weekend none the less :) However I did have a few to many beers, but I can say the whole weekend food, motel, gambling I only came home $140 less than I went with so that in itself was GREAT :) I am sure I have gained alittle but I was right back on track today so hopefully I will still see a loss later this week......I will be staying right on track no cheating allowed for me not much time left to lose and start maintaining

Hopeful8 - Welcome to our thread, it is great to have another fellow girl rider :) I have been riding my own for exactly 11 years this month same thing really got tired of riding with DH so ventured out and bought a Yamaha 1100 Custom then 2 years ago bought my new baby an Ironhorse Chopper :) I ride it every where not just around town like most think :)
Oh yes I hear ya about the muffin top and boy would it ever be so nice to get rid of that.

Colleen glad to hear that you are feeling somewhat better but sorry to hear DH isn't feeling so well now. Hope he gets well soon :)

Well girls off to get on the treadmil so I will check back in later

Again WELCOME hopeful8

2times2much 03-15-2010 10:59 PM

VROOOOOMMMMM! Goes the Harley in Wisconsin!

We got to ride! Tim had to head back to the dentist, so had today off. We took a little ride after work! Fun! Just got the HD Ultra Classic home this
week. It came with jackets too! You guessed it--the womens is a size SMALL!!! At least the helmet fits! ;)

Leave it to DH to burst a bubble! My 3 pound loss got lost in the shuffle when he announced he lost 20!!! (no teeth will do that I guess!) Think I should go to the dentist?--Just kidding!:D

Hopeful8, Welcome! I recently joined this thread (couple months ago), and will happily tell you that these gals are great! Not just that they are cool, biker chicks, but they are very forgiving, supportive and "real"! I love having such awesome online friends! I'm Colleen, the heaviest of the bunch. The rest have all gone through all this hard stuff and have lots to share with me! I am grateful!

Here's to you! Your doing great! :yay:

VermontMom 03-16-2010 07:25 AM

good morning and Hi and :welcome2::welcome: Hopeful8 to our thread :D We look forward to getting to know you! :) My real name is Holly, my name here is Vermontmom and my road name is Cupcake. Same story here, my husband has ridden for years and I always enjoyed the back but really wanted to learn to ride my own. Got my endorsement (took the State's course) in 2002 and it has been a love story since :D

Tammy I didn't know you learned on a Honda Shadow! that was my first bike, the VLX 600.

Welcome back to the land of the living, Colleen!! and so glad you got to ride :scooter a bit. Congrats to your husband on being down so much but what an unpleasant way to do it! So your pneumonia is on the mend I hope??

and glad you had a FUN weekend Reda, too bad the weather was good at home too, lol but you sure enjoyed your get-a-way.

Hi Tammy :wave

Oh so now I am the odd one out here with the metric bike and everyone else has HD   I know I would fall in love with an HD if I had the opportunity to ride one but I am still loving my Honda too ;)

I have been doing terribly, like I should say 'what diet' but still working out , that's my saving grace. It probably isn't good to make excuses for me but truly when I am out of the winter job it will be so much easier to do what I'm supposed to do (and my countdown is at 30 days :D )

Our (older) son is very excited, he is looking to trade in his V-Strom towards a new (leftover 2009) Yamaha FZ1.

Last night I decorated my helmet, I hope I decide I like it! I glued on colored sparkly crystals in a cupcake pattern, it's on the front center. I spent 2 hours doing it, I hope I make myself like it! lol . I'll ask DH to take a pic so I can show you.

Well I hope to ride to work today!! it is still extremely Cold now (26 degrees) but hopefully by 10 this morning it will be alot warmer, and supposed to be sunny and a high of 55! It won't be that warm when I leave work at 6 pm but should still be fine.

I had to vacuum last night because I could see sand on the rug, ugh and I knew it would be hard to motivate myself to work out on that rug and do pushups and have my face close to an unclean rug!! so it's clean now so I'd better work out soon before it gets dirtied up again.

Good Morning Ladies.

First of all.... I need a little push. I am 1.5 pounds away from goal and our "aunt bee" or our Holly made a chocolate cake from scratch and chicken spaghetti with oozing cheese for 2 girls bday. I know if I eat the first bite of cake it will be over..... but I SOOOOO want some! I am trying to stay out of the kitchen.

Holly, I am glad you got to ride! And your helmet sounds cute. I would expect nothing less from you since you are soooo crafty. I am glad the summer job count down has begun..... that means it is getting closer. You know, I love my HD..... but I was fine on my Honda. I am glad that your DS is getting a new bike.

CC, I am glad you had a great time. Sorry you did not get to ride. And I know you are still doing great.

Colleen, I am glad DH lost weight, just not the way he did it. And your 3 pounds is awesome! I am also happy you got to ride. Isn't it great after being cooped up to get out for just a little ride? Thanks for the kind words you said to Hopeful8 about us.... I think I speak for everyone else that we really enjoy you here. You are so freaking funny!

Hopeful8..... how are you today?

Well, I need to get busy.

Tammy

Hi Girls

Colleen thanks for the nice words, we are all friends on here and everyone including yourself are very supportive :) Glad to hear you got to ride and aren't those DH's the pits when it comes to weightloss, my DH has also been watching what he eats well actually he has been eating what I cook for him and he has lost over 20 pounds in like 3 weeks it takes me 2 months to lose 20 pounds :( When I see that slimquick commercial I always look at DH and say boy if that isn't the 100% truth :) he usual smiles and agrees

Ya Holly you got to ride and yes I want to see your helmet, I am looking for a new helmet and will also want to customize mine with crystals and stuff so anxiously waiting to see what you did :) 30 days till summer job - yipeee I am so excited for you :)

Oh Tammy I feel for you, it is going to be hard to pass up the cake and all but I know you will be strong because you know you only have 1.5 pounds to go so think of that when you look at that cake - think 1.5 pounds, 1.5 pounds no cake, 1.5 pounds- good luck honey you can do it

Ok girls well my turn to go get on the treadmil for the day but I think we are supppose to get some sun tomorrow finally I may get to walk outside :)

Ok girls have a great day

What an absolutely beautiful day in Colorado. I got out on my bike for the first time this season. Just a quick zip around town, but that was all I needed to get me back in the mode again.

:cupgold::kissluck: Happy St. Patrick's Day Girls!

Yay Hopeful! It is so great to get to ride after they have been put up all winter! I have gotten to ride a couple times- just around town-nowhere long distance.

CC- I know you are glad to be getting back to your normal work schedule!

Colleen- are you making progress to be among the living?

Holly- Can't wait to see you helmet pics!

Well, I ate a small sliver of cake yesterday and about 3/4 a cup of chicken spaghetti. BUT, I did not nibble the rest of the day and for supper I had 3/4 of a turkey sandwhich. So...... (drum roll)....... I weighted this AM and I am UNDER GOAL (by one pound) :cheer::cheer: But, I am not posting it as official yet. I am going to wait until my weigh day on Friday and see what the scales bring. This could just be water weight...... so, I am going to watch every little bite I eat today and see what Friday brings before I throw a party!

I have said this before...... but yesterday I was getting heck from my co workers for not eating. I got remarks like "I would rather be fat and happy than "skinny" and miserable....... or what good did it do you to lose weight if you are not going to live life". They started in on the cake at 8:35. I knew if I did that it would set off a trigger..... and I told them that..... but it went unheard. So, I waited until lunch and ate what I ate. It just bothers me b/c no one said (before I lost weight), Hey Tammy you are gaining weight or man you eat a lot..... but now that I have lost it..... they feel they have the right to comment on my size (in a negative manner) or the way I eat. I try to take it in good humor...... but man....... it gets tiring sometimes.

Thanks for listening to me vent.....

I will gab at you later. Y'all have a good day!

Tammy
