05/03/11: 142
05/10/11: 141 Down 1 pound. At least it's less than last week. If we just keep trying, we're sure to win this 'losing' war. =) |

Hoping once TOM is fully gone I might see a bit more - got my tightest jeans on today without lying down. Welcome to the newbies on the thread! |
3/31/11 - 208lbs
4/7/11 - 203.5lbs 4/14/11 - 200.8lbs 4/21/11 - 198.3lbs 4/28/11 - 196.8lbs 5/6/11 - 193.8lbs 5/14/11 - 188lbs (-5.8lbs) Um... I don't even know how that's possible. I was on my period last week, so I guess it's possible that I was retaining some water weight when I weighed in last week. I don't know. I'm in awe... |
Oh my gosh -- a nice solid 2.8 loss! :carrot: :carrot: Why is it always such a surprise to me that when I do what I need to do I lose weight? I was suddenly struck -- like a brick to the head -- with the full realization that if I force myself to only eat at the table when I'm alone, just that ONE thing, and just focus on the food, I'm pretty much guaranteed to lose weight. I knew it, but was just in denial. And even once I fully realized it I tried to weasel out of committing to it. That's the power of addictive behaviour, huh. Trying to work out exceptions to the rule, just this once. So anyway, between that and hot yoga... I finally had a good loss. Here we go! 1/8/11: 231 1/15/11: 229 1/28/11: 229 2/5/11: 228 2/12/11: 227 2/17/11: 227 2/28/11:228 3/7/11: 230 3/14/11: 229.5 3/24/11: 228 4/4/11: 225.8 4/11/11: 227.8 4/18/11: 225.6 4/23/11: 225 5/2/11: 223.6 5/9/11: 224.2 5/16/11: 221.4 ArEyBee, that's FANTASTIC!!! Do tell us what you're doing for such fabulous results. :hyper: Natamars, bet you'll have an extra good WI this week. It never seems to be an even path, does it. Jacymacy, truer words were ne'er spoke -- as long as we make progress and head in the right direction, we'll get there. A pound off is good, as ArEyBee pointed out: Think of a pound of butter -- it's a big chunk. Gwen, you're doing fantastic -- almost 20 off this year! :woohoo: Beila, good for you weighing in and tracking so consistently! Accountability can make that little difference that gets us going. Ok, wimmen, let us rock the scale this week! :cb: :cb: |

(196 yesterday) 3/15/11 - 196 (194 yesterday) 3/29/11 - 195 (194 on 4/1) 4/5/11 - 195 4/12/11 - 195 4/19/11 - 193 (doing a happy dance!) 4/26/11 - 195 - yup 5/3/11 - 193 More! I want MORE! 5/10/11 - 192 - there it is!YAY!!!!! 5/17/11 - 194...damn I don't know what is going on with my body! It must be in rebellion. With all this clean eating and HIIT exercising, why isn't the weight falling off? Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! |
Gwen, maybe it's the HIIT? I know whenever I start anything new that stresses my muscles in a different way, my muscles hold water. And I can tell almost immediately. Frustrating, though, when you're working so hard and the scales don't show it. Next week you'll have a payoff, I bet!
Anyway, I'm sure that HIIT will be worth it. I'm going to start some, short and intense, after I'm up to speed on hot yoga. |

Well, I don't understand this. up 2 down 2, up 3 down 1... etc. etc. Why can't I get out of the 190's? Anagam too... what are we doing wrong? Is there a 190's devil out there keeping our weight from busting through?
Look at AyErBee and Arabella - such steady weight loss. Amazing. I want that so badly. So, I read some of AyErBee's blog - great writing by the way - and see she's on WW plan. Hmmmmm. Points. I'd like to know how points relate to calories. |
I was going to do Tuesday weigh-ins but I am going to switch to Fridays - just seems easier to me. But today I weighed in at 141, same as last Tuesday. Here's hoping a couple more days on plan will help for Friday's OFFICIAL weigh-in.

Gwen, I have a bunch of weights I think of as set points that are very hard to get under. That's when I usually get frustrated and sloppy and gain. Stick with it, you'll get there! Arabella, awesome weigh-in! ArEyBee, that is AMAZING! That's like a week 1 loss! |
05/03/11: 142
05/10/11: 141 05/20/11: 142 Maybe I should have stuck with Tuesday weigh-ins. Oh well, Fridays just make more sense to me. |
Week 1
01/04/11 - 210 02/01/11 - 205 03/01/11 - 199 04/05/11 - 195 05/03/11 - 193 Week 2 01/11/11 - 208 02/08/11 - 203 03/08/11 - 198 04/12/11 - 195 05/10/11 - 192 Week 3 01/18/11 - 205 02/15/11 - 205 03/15/11 - 196 04/19/11 - 193 05/17/11 - 194 Week 4 01/25/11 - 204 02/22/11 - 203 03/29/11 - 195 04/26/11 - 195 05/23/11 - 193 Wow I feel much better after grouping my weekly weigh-ins! Looking down each of the weekly groups you'd think we were showing the weight of 4 different women - each losing consistently. Instead, this is just ME bouncing around each week. If you looked at every DAY the bouncing is even greater - this week alone I was everywhere from 192 to 197! But... If I only consider week 1 as my weigh in results, I can see that I've lost consistently for each month. Too slow - but consistent. |
And a little bounce up. Down big next week. I had a good week but that seems to be the way she goes.

Have a great weekend! |
3/31/11 - 208lbs
4/7/11 - 203.5lbs 4/14/11 - 200.8lbs 4/21/11 - 198.3lbs 4/28/11 - 196.8lbs 5/6/11 - 193.8lbs 5/14/11 - 188lbs 5/21/11 - 189lbs Didn't sweat it. 5/28/11 - 186lbs (-3lbs) Arabella, Gwen, natamars Thanks, ladies! As Gwen said I am doing WW Points+ program and I'm working out 7 days/week, 6 of those days at the gym. The 7th day is walking my dog, biking, or both at leisure (nothing intense). Arabella I hope you aren't discouraged about the slight increase! I had one of those last week and it came off this week as I predicted it would. I felt too good in my skin to believe I really gained weight. Just stay positive! :) natamars You're doing a really great job. Looks like April was a bit of a yo-yo month because of TOM, but you've been seeing consistent losses this month. You're so close to your goal now! Gwen 17lbs is nothing to be ashamed of! Everyone's body is different and will lose weight at different rates. You're making lifestyle changes now that will help you consistently lose weight till your body reaches its equilibrium. You can't get discouraged! Just keep on trucking and you'll get where you want to go. jacymacy I recently switched my weigh-in day from Thursdays to Saturdays. Once you get into the groove of Friday weigh-ins the weight will drop so long as you're sticking to plan. :) |
