Newbie here! So glad to see a shorties section!
My goal is to lose 15lbs and become addicted to the gym! I feel like maintaining will be easier if I like going to the gym. I joined a new one about 3 weeks ago and I already look forward to going. Its a small gym so I'm not sure just a number on a ID card. They already know my name! They have classes almost every night right at 5:30 perfect for getting out of work at 5. The works outs are intense, its a great variety and everyone is so friendly. I feel like since I am already meeting people they will hold me accountable for going. Its also 2 miles from my house which is great for where I live my old gym was 25 min away.
I signed up for some personal training sessions to help get me on track too, hope it works out for me.
