  • Newbie here! So glad to see a shorties section!

    My goal is to lose 15lbs and become addicted to the gym! I feel like maintaining will be easier if I like going to the gym. I joined a new one about 3 weeks ago and I already look forward to going. Its a small gym so I'm not sure just a number on a ID card. They already know my name! They have classes almost every night right at 5:30 perfect for getting out of work at 5. The works outs are intense, its a great variety and everyone is so friendly. I feel like since I am already meeting people they will hold me accountable for going. Its also 2 miles from my house which is great for where I live my old gym was 25 min away.
    I signed up for some personal training sessions to help get me on track too, hope it works out for me.

    Yay, congrats on the progress!

    I've done the Jillian Michaels ones before, but everyone's different. Take a bunch out from the library, and then buy the one you like the most for cheap on amazon!
  • So this thread is up to 20 pages now. Has anyone thought about making a separate support section for short chicks like us? Like another official subsection in the Support Groups area? Or at least, starting a new, Part 3?

    I got on the scale this morning and FINALLY lost another pound. I won't make my mini goal by thursday but i'm still proud of the progress I am making.

  • Woke up this morning and was 169.4! I'm soooo happy!! I haven't seen the 160's for I dont know how long. It feels great!
  • Hey kids. I used to be a frequent visitor to this thread and 3fc but then I just stopped coming by I think mostly because I started seeing a dietician on a regular basis but I think it might be nice to get back into the swing of things again on here and have the extra support. I've been reading all the posts from all you newer posters and I have to say you guys are doing a great job! You're all making great progress! I hope to get to know you all well very soon!

    One Holiday down! 4 weeks till Christmas. Hoping to hit my next mini goal. 1lb short on thanksgiving goal, but I'll take the pound weight loss. I'm really going to push myself these next 4 weeks. I would love more than anything to hit 139 entering the new year

  • Hi Ladies,
    Today I'm at 144.4. It's become so cold here that bundling up and going to the gym then debundling and working out then bundling up is a HUGE hassle. So, I'm going to start packing workout clothes for work and then walk straight to the gym after I get off the bus so I won't get too comfy/lazy. But I have been doing pilates at home

    I'm hoping to get to 139.9 by the end of the year.......I can do it if I could just get my booty to the gym...stupid winter and me not being more motivated!
  • hey littleflower, i'm right there with ya. well not with the cold weather, not to bad yet here in NY. but with the 139.9 by years end. I would love more than anything to start the new year off with that second number being a 3 even if it ends in 9.9. We can do it!

  • a bunch of us have been discussing starting a new fresh thread. since its December and only 4 wks left of 2010. just a thought....lets stay here for the remainder of the year and start a brand new fresh thread for 2011? your thoughts
  • I must say...it's soooo hard to stay on plan & on track when my coworkers are ordering Chinese take out, Juicy Lucys, and chicken fingers with fries. I just have my Healthy Choice TV dinner, which pales in comparison to deliciousness....but then I picture next summer and that keeps me in line.

    Why must fattening food be SO tempting?!?!
  • Oh and Jennie...Yes, I need to see a new decade!!! I need to see the 130's, even if it's 139.99999999! LOL! I haven't seen that number since June 2009

    I hear ya. And to quote a Savage Garden song "I think that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for us." I think it's because it's the thought that it's forbidden that makes you want it more. Just hang in there!
