Gah, they were carried in the Whole Foods store that closed down.

this is very exclusive stuff. there are 8 stores all in a 16-96 mile range from me. all but 1 are out of state :p

and Billie, and Heather-- thx for the good wishes...

Fat Chick B Gone 05-01-2009 07:37 PM

Wow, I'm feeling pretty special about Charlotte right now!

Mrs Snark 05-02-2009 08:55 AM

Yay, I made it thru a Friday night without being tempted into drinking or snacking. The veg sushi was awesome (hear that Heather, it rocked!! ;) ) and my husband kept his illicit snacking for after I was asleep and wouldn't see it.

Today's plan:
Exercise: Technically it is a rest day, but I'm 2 miles short of the mileage I needed for this week so I'll do a very light 2 mile run tonight.

Food:
Coffee, 1/2 bagel with a faux sausage patty
Natures burger and soup
Strawberries
Veggi/bean tacos

GirlyGirlSebas 05-02-2009 12:49 PM

Lucy, sorry to hear about your Mom and the little guy. Hope they are feeling better.

Jo - great job on avoiding the Friday night blowout!

Jaime - Thank you for posting the Butternut Squash and Black Bean Taco recipe a while back. They are my favorite quick delicious meal. I made those again last night.

Today, I missed breakfast because Paul and I....ah...slept in. ;) I was told that my a$$ is getting smaller. This makes the treadmill workouts not seem to tough now. I was getting a bit discouraged because the fickle scales aren't smiling.

My menu. No calorie count, but I'm being very careful.

Lunch - Butternut squash and black bean tacos
Snack - Tangelo and cheese stick
Snack - Yogurt
Dinner - Veggie pizza on whole wheat tortilla with goat cheese
Snack - Weight Watcher's Key Lime Pie.

I am enjoying the love fest tho ;)

I hope you have a fun run tomorrow!

You know when you call it illicit, it seems naughty and he will want it more.

New plan, mis munequitas. I am not just planning dinner and trying to make everything else "fit". I am not planning my day when I get up. I have a full plan for the whole week. Planning is my strength, so I should go with that. And I will. I get a 'treat' every few days that is still OP, but something to look forward too.

Mrs Snark 05-03-2009 08:40 AM

Ruuuuuun, Lucy, ruuuuuun! I hope she's having a blast right now!

Fat Chick B Gone 05-03-2009 10:22 AM

Lucy I hope your race goes great today!!!!!

Me - okay this is the week we're going to try to get food, exercise, water, and self-esteem all on the same page. We'll see how that goes.

Today
breakfast - smoothie
lunch - leftover chinese and rice
dinner - mango tempeh pita

Mrs Snark 05-03-2009 10:33 AM

If I can hold it together today I'll finally have a whole week I can be proud of it in the books. W00t. I ask, for the gazillionth time, why this must be so darn difficult. Sigh.

Today's plan:
Exercise: Bike ride (the big loop)
FOod:
Coffee, strawberries
Nature's burger, soup
Black bean tostados with veggies

onthetee 05-03-2009 02:26 PM

Day one: not easy. I have totally been underestimating the amount of grazing I do. I have the weekly menu posted, and check things off as I go, but already had a pretty serious infraction before I remembered. If I isn't on the paper, it doesn't go in the mouth. I have 38 minutes before PM snack.

Oh, I didn't even comment on it to him (I just saw the evidence of it in the trash). He's going to do his own thing no matter what I'm doing, but I did ask if he could not ask me all the time if want this or some of that, because it is hard to be constantly turning down food...

I don't know how to make it easier for him to get on the bandwagon, I think it has to come from within.

kittycat40 05-03-2009 06:15 PM

Hellllooooooo chicks!!

Jo, I was running when you posted and I was thinking.... you know this feels like a training run... I am taking it too easy... so I picked up my pace and came in faster than I expected. Still waiting for final time, but it is around 2.20. (I was thinking I would be happy with 2.45)

Heather I had just finished when you wrote your post.-- like, exactly at that moment.

the vibes got to me. can ya dig that!!??

Cool!

Ok, so mindful eating....it has been a few months since I did it well. It is much harder than mindless eating....

onthetee 05-03-2009 08:38 PM

this is me not eating....you can tell because I am not eating. this is how I kept myself not eating:

I also drank a quart of ginger tea.

I am now going to the other room.

Mrs Snark 05-04-2009 07:40 AM

Way to go, Lucy, that's awesome!!!!! :carrot: I look forward to hearing the details!

Anna, those paper stars are sooo pretty! Great job avoiding the mindless eating, sometimes that is soooo hard!

Today's plan:
Exercise: I ran 5.30 miles this morning
Food:
Not sure yet, I need to consoult the fridge and cabinet, supplies are running low...
