Screw being thin....I'm going to med school!
I am not going to get discouraged, even though I want to. I have not lost boococky since I started with the trainer. I am exercising about 1.5 times as much and losing nothing. My eating has been totally fine, though not perfect. Still not losing. She said that since I did not have significant diet changes to make, I would not see the big dip that most people get in the first two weeks that you see on a South Beach or WW. Again, as we all know, I don't drink enough water, which I need to work on (as I stupidly sit here being thirsty). She said to give it until Mother's Day since I clearly was stronger. I have added 15 to my pull ups and gone up a bar or hand weight size in everything I do. She also added ab work since my midsection looks a lot different. But the number on the scale and my butt are the same. I am probably as frustrated as I have ever been. I did not feel this crappy when I sat at 155 for nearly 8 months. How can I work this hard and see so little change? The injury to my bidceps femoris is not helping either. It does not hurt, but it feels creepy, which I realize is anything but descriptive. |

Anna, I'm surprised you haven't lost anything yet. Seems crazy.

I am also in pain due to various things and it is hurting my ability to perform 100% but I am not giving up hope and still doing as much as I can. You shouldn't give up. You WILL get there and lose. Trust your trainer and your body. |
*yawn*
I had a headache at 3 am last night. Blerg. Plan for Day 9: Run coffee, orange boca burger sandwich, soup, raw veggies pasta with veggies, salad |
Jo, is your headache gone?
Heather, Bodyplex is the name of my fitness center. They have a yoga class called Bodyflow. I thought this might be the class you take. Yesterday, I get two thumbs up for both food and exercise. However, I get one thumb down for water. Today, I'll drink at least 5 glasses of water. After work, Paul and I will be headed to the fitness center to use the weight machines and some treadmill/bike/elliptical time. Breakfast: Steelcut oats, skim milk Snack: Yogurt Lunch: Lean Cuisine Snack: Banana, cheese stick, skim milk Dinner: Coconut vegetable curry w/ quinoa Snack: WW Chocolate cake Have a great day. |
Headache is gone now, yay. I bet you'll have fun at the fitness center tonight with Paul!
Would someone please come hang pictures in my office? I hate picture hanging, but I'd like the art on the walls. Anytime is good for me, I'll be in the back yard mowing the grass. |
I am following Jillian's workout plan and she killed me last night. Honestly, I think that woman is a cyborg. Today is day 2 of her circuit training. If you don't hear from me tomorrow then assume I'm dead in my garage. Both Mike and I are doing it together and it's nuts to see how much we suck. I am also suffering from wrist and elbow issues so I can't perform at 100% and do some of the workouts.
Rhonda, have fun at the gym. Are you also thinking of taking any classes there? Jo, if I leave now I should make it there sometime. Keep a lookout, if you hear any vroom vroom in your lane then it's probably me coming to help you. Just make sure you have a ladder too. :D |
I finally saw some changes in myself. I know I've lost 20#'s this year and I have seen the changes in my face. Well I decided to torture myself looking in the mirror yesterday. I've finally seen the difference in my middle. I don't think my belly sticks out as far as it did a few months ago. It has given me renewed hope.
I made dessert the other day. 12 cupcakes and then a 9x9 jello cake. I sprinkled some of the dry jello in the frosting for flavor/color. I ate 2 cupcakes and then realized that I was eating jello. DUH! I've given jello up for gelatin reasons so I it is now safe to say that the remaining cake product is safe from me. Whatever they don't eat by 9pm tomorrow will be going in the trash with NO notice. No way can I warn them I plan on throwing it out they will want to eat all of it tonight. I feel so evil..........whahahahahahah |

My hips were so freaking tight tonight at class. I'm going to hurt in places that should not hurt. And well some of you know I need to be loosening those up ;) I had a good calorie day. Really only had two meals due to the cavity being filled around lunch time. I had pad thai for brunch and a veggie burger and small smoothie for dinner. Noshed on some popcorn after yoga but still quite under for the day. Tomorrow's plan: breakfast -steel cut oats with dried cranberries, walnuts and agave snack - cantaloupe lunch - not sure. Sister has follow up neuro appointment :crossed: here in Charlotte. I'm having lunch with Mom, Aunt, and sis somewhere around here. So probably a veggie sammich or noodle restaurant. Dinner- Either mexi wraps or plantain fritters and jamaican jerk tempeh - depends on what lunch is and how many calories. Probably just a dog walk day tomorrow as I have some volunteer stuff to do and I'm not certain I'll be able to stand up straight. |
Hello chicas :)
I'm alive! barely though. My whole body is sore and it is hurting so much where it takes me forever to sit on the toilet seat. I think this would be the only time I wish I was a dude so I could stand and pee. Today, is a rest day. You have no idea how much I was looking forward to it last night. I think I managed to get through my routine just cuz I kept thinking of today. :) Today, is also hair color day. I hope this color is to my liking. My last attempt was FAIL. Heather, I'll make sure all my (vegan) spicy food/spices goes to you. And who knows I could possibly still visit you from another realm and answer your questions . As for being out of shape, man! I feel ya. Hang in there. You'll be back in shape in no time. Oh, I was thinking about Gabby yesterday and was going to ask you how she was doing? I don't know why I kept thinking her appointment was on Monday. Good Luck! Billie, :woohoo: for no more belly sticking out. You've been doing great, trying new things and sticking to your plan. Keep it up girl! Today Breakfast - Broccoli and homemade turkey patty saute, coffee, probiotic vanilla yogurt with walnuts. (I'm in love with walnuts in yogurt. I never tried it before). |
Hi Senoritas. Just a quick fly-by from me. Sleeping in because of the headache has put me behind on my schedule and I must have time for my workout!
Billie - Congrats on seeing your body changes! Today is a 1400 calorie day. Breakfast - Steel cut oats and coffee Snack - Banana and cup of skim milk Lunch - Lean Cuisine Snack - Tangelo and cheese stick Dinner - Leftover coconut veggie curry w/ quinoa Snack - 1 cup of skim milk Paul and I didn't make it to the fitness center yesterday. I had an unexpected family call and an unexpected visitor. However, I did get on the treadmill for an hour of the 13 week running program. Today, my left knee is a little twingey. I better walk tonight. BTW - my visualization techniques are working wonderfully. I wish I had started this a long time ago. |
Ladies! I see life has returned to this thread while I wasn't looking. I seriously, seriously need to join you here.
I haven't been to a WW meeting in at least 6 weeks because I haven't wanted to WI and admit I'm up 5lbs again from my nice 35lb low. Bah. I definitely feel the need to get back into exercise. I haven't made the decision to join a gym or not - money is tight, and you have to sign a year contract - who's to say I'll go consistently for a year? Why does everything have to work on such ridiculous contracts? I felt great yesterday after walking during my lunch break, so I'm going to focus for the time being on walking... Hopefully move back into the neglected running... And if I can at the very least commit TIME to exercise, then I will look at devoting FUNDS as well. I can't in good conscience pay money for something I'm not even doing now, when it's free. Today's plan - B: oatmeal w/walnuts, cranberries; black tea L: black bean soup, spinach salad w/strawberries, orange, fritos (yes, I have a little portioned serving of fritos. they make the soup more enjoyable). D: tuna patties over sauteed broccoli slaw, potentially some form of potato I also commit to a 30 minute walk, whether accomplished at lunch or after work, in addition to the standard walk to and from work. |
Morning :)
Well, my rest day was short lived. I can't believe wednesday passed so quickly. My muscles are still VERY sore. My next rest day is sunday. If you hear screams between now and Sunday it's just me & my muscles screaming that's all ;) Jaime, glad you're back here :) . As for contracts, I hate those gym yearly contracts. I prefer month to month and a lot of them don't do it or if they do they charge extra. I wasted lot of money signing up and then not going for various reasons. I've had gyms both close to work and home and still I would find excuses not to go. So, I totally understand your decision. Do what you can now (walking, running etc) and then in few months you can always sign up if you decide to do so. Also have you checked freecycle or craigslist? Someone might be giving away or selling a tready or an elliptical which you might be able to buy dirt cheap. Rhonda, did you and Paul go to the gym? How's the headache and knee? I think you should look for some group classes at your gym and sign up for one that you might like. It would be once a week and would become more of a routine for you to go to. It might be fun. And chances are you might make some friends too. Just do it! Have a wonderful OP day girls :) |
Hola, Senoritas! Okay. That is about the extent of my highschool Spanish knowledge.
Jaime - good to see you back here. Anjuli - soon, you will see those lovely muscles and the pain will be worth it. Keep going! Today is my high calorie day...Yippee! 1800 Breakfast - scrambled egg, ww toast Snack - Tangelo and cheese stick Lunch - Leftover curry and quinoa Snack - Banana and skim milk Dinner - Veggie burger, sauteed yellow squash, parmesan couscous Snack - Weight Watchers Chocolate Mousse Today, Paul and I are headed to the fitness center for some weight training. Last night I did another hour of the beginning running program. As much as I hate to admit it, I may be trying to do too much too soon. I know. I know. You all warned me. The right knee is feeling a little bit achey today, so I'll be using the recumbant bike. Hopefully, I'll be back to the wogging tomorrow as I really do love it! |
