Gail: I couldn't stand it that cold in the house in the daytime. My hands and feet get too cold as it is and I wear two pair of socks. Of course, our condo is drafty because it is old and needs lots of energy upgrades that are too expensive to do. We can't do stop measures like putting plastic over windows and such because the association prohibits it. I just do the best I can with blinds and curtains over them that I keep shut. I used rolled up towels under the doors but air still seeps around the sides.
Maggie: I had a little potpie at Ruby Tuesday's that used the phyllo dough and actually liked it better than crust. They make their quiche that way too, though i am sure them use butter, which is really ridiculous because the spray is a lot easier and faster besides the calorie value.
Susan: Hope your boss gets out and away ok. They had a lot of snow and ice up that way and it is pretty bad I hear so I don't expect him to be on time. Most bosses are like yours, expect miracles out of their assistants. When I worked for the law firm I used to give them what for, but then I could because I didn't work directly for them. When they would get unreasonable or say something that I knew to be untrue I would let them have it. One of the attorney's that all the secretaries dreaded working for because he was a tyrant, I told off big time not long after I worked there. He thought he could push me around like he did my sister, who worked for him at the time, and I told him in no uncertain terms I would do the best job I could for him but if he ever spoke to me again like that and in front of others, I would turn him from a rooster to a hen. From that day on he loved me and I was his favorite. I came back to visit there a couple years after I had left and when I came into the door to the second set of offices where his office was, he came out and hugged me like a long lost relative, said how he missed me and how good I looked!
Of course, he couldn't fire me, because I didn't work for him, but he could give me lousy evaluation marks. I got the best ones from him, actually! lol Thanks for the bulgar info, I thought it was something like that.Jean: We have the same issues here with the Indians owning the Baskin Robbin's stores. I really don't understand it, but they are really rude to their customers and don't seem to care. We quit going there and hunted out other ice cream places because they were so darn rude.
Well, better go as Jack will be down in a minute. The snow has melted but the cold temps made it icy so we have that to deal with first thing this morning.
Faye

For the first time in a long while I got an uninterrupted EIGHT HOURS of sleep last night. Actually 8 1/2 hours now that I count correctly because I woke up with the alarm clock this morning at 5:30am.
I found it amusing when I served him he made the comment, "I wondered when you would make one again." AH life is good. OH those turnovers were a big hit. Everyone just loved them and now I don't have any to freeze for my test. Maybe next time.
I caught that cold Will had and it is worse than the first one I had since coming here. I hope there aren't any more cold germs here that I haven't already "learned." Since I am on HBP meds I am limited to what medicine I can injest. I didn't want to walk today but did my first 10 minutes anyway and was glad for it. I'll do the other planned 10 later this day. I'll crank it up or add some time next weeks or add some time to use my weights. Will just came in here to get my list of what I need at the store ~ veggies. Jacima, radishes, celery and a bag of salad. Have baby carrots. I'll get them all cut up and ready to eat.
I wish spring would hurry up!
