Do you feel FREE? Really? Surely freedom feels better than you feel when you say you don't feel good about yourself. I think if you were really free you'd be alot happier!

I think you want to feel free to run those 5 milers you used to run. And to wear a slinky dress and feel like a sexy momma! That's freedom. Freedom from self-consciousness and self-doubt and recrimination and frustration!

Fat Chick B Gone 01-27-2009 01:02 PM

Lunch was iceberg lettuce with maybe 1/2 oz each of red peppers, yellow peppers, carrots and tomatoes, 3 water chestnuts and two peanuts with olive oil and vinegar. Also served with a confused look when as I told waiter I didn't care for the chicken, no I understand it comes with the salad I just don't want it.

emergency cashews have already been devoured

Rhonda- being fat is in no way freeing. Knowing that I've consumed enough calories to keep my body running but not to overstuff it and knowing that I can run 3 miles is liberating beyond belief. I'd rather count calories from here to eternity then to stay fat. It's not like you can't EVER have a high calorie day- just can't every day. To me that makes going out or having a huge meal at home on occasion even more special.

GirlyGirlSebas 01-27-2009 01:21 PM

Jo and Heather - Thank you for helping me to get my thinking back on track. You're correct. I am not free right now and I'm not happy with my body. I temporarily lost sight of those facts.

onthetee 01-27-2009 01:25 PM

I am totally without motivation to get on the treadmill.

Fat Chick B Gone 01-27-2009 01:28 PM

Anna *whine whine whine* just get on the damn treadmill.

onthetee 01-27-2009 01:37 PM

I am done.

Me: Yep.

Meara: DON'T forget me.

<3 she's a cutie

I have, for the record, eaten my dinner now also. This is WHY I hate not being able to plan where and what I'm having for lunch. I try not to bring up the vegan thing at work but this is getting old. I do not eat iceberg lettuce for lunch people.
Great now I'm cranky also.

you really are quite funny.

I too have already eaten my dinner. And we got a letter today from acct saying rates were increasing and I'm thinking of extra interest paid w/o redemption on his part. oh well. starting this tax season on the right foot. well, trying to.

rock and roll Anna!

Rhonda, what Jo said kinda doubles for me too. Although I have gone waaay off plan I by no means eat anything close to the way I did before I lost these pounds. I would like to get to the very bottom of my stated range but have not bc I've loosened up on the cals.

hmmm.

I miss taking a shower with the girls. Now, they're all modest and grown up.

zinkemomx2 01-27-2009 05:24 PM

I wish mine would take showers.

GirlyGirlSebas 01-28-2009 07:00 AM

Looks like things are winding down a bit at work. I have two more reports to get out this week and then I'll be back to normal. I really can't until I have extra time for the treadmill. The scales are stuck and Rhonda ain't happy!

Hopefulpinkangel 01-28-2009 08:12 AM

I have lots of work to do today so I won't be on much, but it won't be too much longer until I can put in my 2 weeks which will be a glorious day! :D

Rhonda
-Do NOT let the scale run your life, you can do it!! I believe in you.

We play a game called Slippery Baby which is winding down. She is getting too long!

My exercise today will probably involve pulling sleds up hills with people on them.

kittycat40 01-28-2009 02:59 PM

I'm at work. just wanted to bring this thread to the top :)

Mrs Snark 01-28-2009 04:59 PM

We are anti-chatty on this thread today.

Hopefulpinkangel 01-28-2009 08:02 PM

Darn work making me have to actually work today. ;)

Fat Chick B Gone 01-28-2009 08:52 PM

Tomorrow plan -
breakfast - cereal and nanner
apple
lunch out - huge sigh and probably *****ing to commence afterwards
almonds
dinner - black bean burger and home fries (spicy with cayenne!)

kittycat40 01-29-2009 07:19 AM

I'm starting out on the wrong foot today.

My long run got procrastinated (by me of course) and now I'm pissy. Maybe I can turn things around with a shorty.

GirlyGirlSebas 01-29-2009 07:20 AM

We are quiet lately.

I'm over-the-top stressed this morning. The scales are up even though I'm on-plan, I don't see how I will get these two reports out by tomorrow, my oldest has big-time attitude, and I will probably have to pass on the jewelry show this evening because I will probably have to work. I'm so ready for this week to be over!

Okay, rant over. Have a great day.

Hopefulpinkangel 01-29-2009 07:55 AM

So I just finished typing up my 2 weeks notice. I will be giving it to my boss tomorrow, assuming my meeting with my new boss goes well tonight. I'm nervous to give it to him because I'm afraid he's going to be pissy to me for 2 weeks, but I'm hoping he won't be. I'm so ready to move on.

Gotta get to work so I can have everything done and ready for my 2 weeks will hopefully fly by! :) Hope everyone has a great day!

pintobean 01-29-2009 08:06 AM

Morning everyone :)

Not much going on here. I was hoping for a delayed morning today for work but they opened normal time. Oh well...

Eating is going OP and workout too. My butt cheeks are hurting today. Probably from squats or something I did yesterday. My weight is coming down to where it was last weekend before the sodium fest. So we'll see what it's going to be when WI day comes.

Food Plan:
B - Egg beaters sandwich
L - Lean cuisine aka lazy cuisine ;)
S - Small salad

Rhonda, sorry you're stressed. Stay OP and the weight will come down. There could be several reasons for it to go up. I gained a lot last weekend due to more sodium intake than usual. So hang in there

Lucy, I hope your day goes better :) .

kittycat40 01-29-2009 09:07 AM

day is better. :)
going to run 1,000,000 errands and stay POP today and going to feel soooo accomplished!

Jen, that is awesome news! be strong. stay :)

pinto, what is your name?

rhonda, persevere!

ETA: day turned pissy again w/in moments of this original post
plan: turn that around...

suitejudyblueeyes 01-29-2009 05:08 PM

I seriously need to get on board with planning. I keep telling myself it's too hard right now, what with the move and all, but really that's not a viable excuse! I have to eat regardless, might as well make good choices!

Sorry I haven't been around 3FC, I'm finding it hard to get back into the support group mentality at the moment. I'll get over it once life settles down again.

Mrs Snark 01-29-2009 06:23 PM

I need to get completely back in the groove as well, I feel like I've been coasting and I don't like it.

pintobean 01-29-2009 07:15 PM

I got Mindless Eating from the library today. Hubby is reading it now. I'll read it once I finish the other books I am currently reading.

Anjuli :)
Did you manage to turn it around?

Jaime, do what you got to do. We understand. Can you make some food in bulk? You can freeze the extra. Or get some lean cuisine stuff or similar?

Jo, love the new profile picture :) . Hope you find your mojo soon.

Mrs Snark 01-29-2009 08:28 PM

Tomorrow's plan:
Exercise: Run/walk

Food:
oatmeal, apple, coffee with stevia
Faux hot dogs on Ezekiel bread, baked beans
Vegtable Pad Thai

kittycat40 01-29-2009 08:37 PM

hey Jo I was getting ready to ask what you were pointing to and you cropped :)

GirlyGirlSebas 01-29-2009 09:40 PM

Jo - Love the new pic!
Jaime - let us support you this time. We don't expect constant cheer and optimism around here. We're snarky, remember? ;)

Paul ordered a camera for me and.....ta da!..a Body Bugg for himself! :carrot:
I hope this really helps him to stay on-track. He loves gadgets and, honestly, he considers dieting = starving. He doesn't eat enough and can't understand why his weight loss stops. Maybe the numbers will convince him where I have failed.

I measured myself last night. I have the exact same measurements as I had a year ago. This time next year, I will be smaller!

kittycat40 01-29-2009 09:52 PM

Jaimie, part of the support here is give and also get!! I've been thinking about you since your recent post. While I think bad choices and whatnot are acceptable and "self forgivable" right now... Think about how much better and so dagum proud of yourself you will be if you continue to take great care of yourself right now!!!

Vent b**tch moan groan

Do it loud and often

-L

kittycat40 01-29-2009 09:58 PM

Anjuli, great name, and I did have a pretty dagum OP day!

Mood, improved but my attitude could use some more work..;)

Hopefulpinkangel 01-30-2009 08:10 AM

Jaime-We are here for you good or bad, happy or sad, so if you want to be grumpy be grumpy. Now is the time you need support the most, so we are going to shove that support at you not matter what! ;)

Jo-I love the new pic too!

Well today is the day I give my 2 weeks. The meeting went well last night and even though I have a lot to learn at the new job, I know I can do it. My WW weigh-in is today also so I'm hoping for a loss and no crying this time. LOL

Mrs Snark 01-30-2009 08:38 AM

Bah, it is has been pouring rain here since 5 am, no run this morning, probably delay til tomorrow. We have a cold front coming through, so at least the weather will be cold tomorrow morning.

kittycat40 01-31-2009 06:45 PM

Jo, did you get your run in? My mother is in Miami Beach and said it is cool but lovely.

children playing a board game downstairs. One yelled at another saying "BE A GOOD LOSER!" huh.

zinkemomx2 02-01-2009 08:07 AM

I know I haven't been posting much. I am here and pretty much on plan though. My weight is creeping down. The food has been pretty good. I need to work on my water again. Drink up everyone!

It was nice and cool here, though windy. I got the 11 miles in and actually didn't have to walk very much as I thought I would (I'm babying a knee injury). About every 3 miles I walked for about 2 minutes and that was it. I did have to keep my pace much slower than usual though, but that's ok, I didn't mind.

All systems are go for the half marathon next Sunday, though I'll just be out there to finish versus going for any particular time. I don't want to screw the knee up any more than I have to. After that, I'll be happy to drop the high mileage runs. I don't know about you, but I don't really enjoy the runs over 10 miles very much. After 10 miles it stops being fun for me and just becomes work. Maybe as time goes by that distance will creep up, but for now, I'm happy to keep 10 as an occasional long run and do most runs around 5-8 miles.

You're currently training for a half or a full aren't you?

Fat Chick B Gone 02-01-2009 01:09 PM

Girls, I've sucked *** the past week. If I'm not back by Tuesday please come physically drag me out of my 'oh life is so stressful so I can eat whatever I want and not exercise slump'. Last exam tomorrow (hopefully!).

I am doing a half in May. My original plan was for a full but I have since learned of sooo many injuries d/t overtraining. I'd like to be able to run until forever, so I don't want to jeapardize my bod. Maybe next year maybe not. Repeat half marathoning seems pretty darn good to me ;)

You Go Girl :)
