We had conferences last night, then I needed to run some errands and get home for American Idol. I did not work out. I did not post. Just too busy. Kelly and I did some walking and jogging tonight. We are trying to build up stamina and distance so this year she can run a few 5k's with me. My weight is holding right around 192. I am awaiting TOM. I am hoping for tomorrow, since it is our last weigh-in at school.
Next week is spring break, hence Kelly's vacation. I will undoubtedly spend mine in the yard getting rid of all last years deadness. I would like to go somewhere, but nobody to go with. :( maybe sometime this summer I can go away with my children, while they still want to. Susie- I am sending you nothing but good vibes for the weigh-in. Ward- take care!! And have fun on your trip. Kelly- Hope you get all your stuff done. |
Hi,
Well...I was shocked at the scales last night and not in a good way. I GAINED 2.75 lbs! I was for sure I had a loss. I was really bothered by it. Then I looked back at my weight-tracker book and it looks like I gain every 4 weeks--I think it's hormonal?? I don't have periods anymore because I had a hyst. but I still have my ovaries so I still go through the cycle feelings and such. So maybe that accounted for the gain? I will not let it stop me or get me down. I'll just work really hard for a big loss next week. Mindy: Holding steady is good. It looks like it will be me and you here next week. Ward: I'm sorry that you are still feeling sick. It sounds like you have a busy, busy week coming up. Just do what you can...eat as well as you can, move as well as you can, rest..get better and don't stress about it. Kelly: Enjoy your vacation. |
Susie- Yep, I will be around. Kelly will be back on Tuesday, so she will join us then. Sorry about the gain. I totally agree with the hormone idea. As you know that is what I've decided happens to me. Since the progesterone cream, things seem to be going better.
I was 192.6 today, so I am changing my ticker. Yippee!! In Jan. I lost 2.6, in Feb. I lost 2.6 and in March I lost 2.8. Slow but steady and I will get there eventually. |
Hi,
I went to a friends batchelorette party last night. I had 4 drinks..that's about all I can handle these days! lol. We danced a lot last night, so I hope that I burned all the drinks! It was so nice outside today. I should have gone for a walk. I will for sure tomorrow. It's suppossed to be nice again and then back to cooler weather durning the week, so I want to enjoy it tomorrow. Mindy: I see you are showing a steady loss..yes, it's slow,,but it's steady and in the end you will still get to where you want to be. I think I'm going I am going to try the progestrone cream. Kelly and Ward: Looking forward to you guys getting back here with us! |
Wierd weekend around here. It was like a ghost town on all of my favorite threads. Maybe everybody is just feeling a lull in the action. I know with TOM here there is not much happening around here. I am eating alright, though we had chinese one night and I don't know how many calories that was. I only ate half and had the rest for lunch the next day.
Well I didn't want to believe we were getting snow, but it is here. Tons of it. It is still snowy right now. This must be a cruel, belated April Fool's joke. I was hoping to spend my spring break cleaning up my flower beds. HA!!! I did a good long workout last night, jogged one day, 2 miles and plan to keep it up. Since I can't work outside I think I should give my house a thorough cleaning. One more note, GO STATE!!!! GO MSU!!!! |
Hi,
Today I did not act as someone who is trying to be healthy or lose weight. I think maybe I was rebelling because the scales didn't give me a good number last Thursday? So I threw a little fit. I'm over it now and when I get up in the morning, I'm right back on track. I'm not feeling that great today eithier. I have a horrible headache and my tummy feels icky. I think that is because I didn't eat well. I'm headed to bed..get some sleep and start over tomorrow. Mindy: Good for you for working out. We had snow here in Ohio today too! I hope that was the LAST of it until Christmas! |
Good morning y'all. We are headed to Florida in a couple of hours, so I probably won't be checking in until Sat. or Sun. I have scoped out the Gold's Gym (3 mi from our condo) and I am bringing my workout gear so I hope to be active while I'm away. I don't want to talk about eating. :sigh:
Have a great week and I'll see you when I get back. |
Ok..today has been much better. I have a workout class in an hour and I'm doing well with the food today. I feel much more like myself today.
Ward: Have a great time on your vacation and relax. That's as good for you as eating well and exercising. Being active while you are gone is a great plan. We will miss you and will look forward to your return. Mindy: How is today going for you? Kelly: I think you are due back today. I hope you had a great time. |
Well girls this morning brought a new low to my scale, 191.4. must say I am happy about that. I am totally geeked to be a pound and a half away from the 180's. That is my goal this week, get to the 180's. Wish me luck.
Ward- See ya when you get back. Have a great time. Susie- that's right. you get right back with the program. Kelly- I know you're home. Where are you?? How was Chicago?? |
Hi,
Tonight is my weigh-in and I'm not looking for it to go well. All I can do is move forward. My head has been on straight since Tuesday so I will focus on that. I tried a new yoga class last night and I loved it! I wasn't very good at it but I loved it. My workouts consists so much of what I say feels like I'm pounding my body. I love that intensity but it feels good to stretch and center myself too. I think it's going to be a good balance for me. This morning before work I needed to stop at Walmart and I ran into a friend that I haven't seen since fall. He said "you have lost weight!" Sure did make my day! Mindy: 180's!! Look at you. I hope you make that goal this week but if not I know you will soon. I really am going to look into that progestrone cream. I know it's not doing it all for you but it does seem to be helping where your body just wouldn't let you get beyond itself. Kelly & Ward: I'm looking forward to you both returning to the board. |
191!!! I am getting there. I really want to be in the 180's when we go back to school on Monday. I am so close. TOM seems to have passed, so I guess I'll see what happens next. You stop the cream when TOM starts and count 12 days, then start up again. You only use it about half the month. I am interested to see what happens once I start using it again.
I went shopping yesterday and bought 2 new pair of pants, black jeans and dress greys. I also bought 5 tops. I can't seem to help myself. I needed the pants, not the tops. Here is an exciting fact. I bought new underwear. I haven't done that in ages. Susie- Good atitude about weigh-in. Look at your ticker though. You have lost like 12 pounds. You are doing it, so keep up the good work. Didn't you have a hyst? If so then you would use the cream differently from me. I would say try it and see if it helps. I don't think it can hurt. Kelly and Ward- Can't wait to hear how you are doing? I know Kelly is busy traveling around during our break, as is Wardhog. You guys have fun. |
Hi everyone!
I am back in town, though it is brief. We went to Chicago for three days, which was fantastic since we went child-free! Eating wasn't so great, but I think we walked about 500 miles in the city, so I didn't feel too much guilt. We were home for a day, then back on the road to the Detroit area to go to a big mall and take the kids to a hotel to swim. That, too, was fun. Even though I really haven't written anything down, or worked out in an organized fashion, I'm holding steady on the weight. We did a lot of shopping this week, and I tried on a lot of stuff. It is annoying how sizes are different at every single store. At one store a size XL is skin tight, and at others a Medium fits just fine. Call me shallow, but I bought stuff that was Medium!!! And, at Eddie Bauer, I tried on a pair of shorts that were 14's, and they were too big! I think I like Eddie Bauer now! So, I am back out of town for my daughter's birthday party on Saturday, so I know I am only going to be home tomorrow and part of the day on Sunday. I guess I will just have to eat the best I can and get back in the swing of things on Monday when I go back to work (ugh). Susie--Don't get too down on yourself for last week's gain. You can only do so much. Remember there are always going to be times in your life that you just have to do your best and move on. As long as you find your way back as quickly as possible, that's all that counts. I bet you will walk in to your weigh in tonight and be pleasantly surprised. You should definitely check into that progesterone cream. It seems to be working really well for Mindy! Mindy--I am so glad to hear you are kissing those 180's. You will be there on Monday, I just know it! I am glad to hear you are on track, on plan, and hanging in there during lonely ole spring break. Good job on the underwear. I have had to buy twice now. Down to mediums! See you soon! Ward--Hope you are doing well on vacation and finding that gym you scoped out! See you later girls! |
GOOD Morning! 190.2 on the scale today. And it is Friday. I usually weigh more on Friday since it is weigh-in day. Not today. So what do I want for tomorrow? 189 of course. I actually saw 189.8 today, briefly. Can you imagine how excited I am. i am changing my tickers today. FUN!!
Kelly- I know you are haing a crazy busy week. Sounds like you are holding your own though. When we get back to school you are going to have to bump up the runing. I did 2.2 miles yesterday, no walking, in 26 min. Pretty good, huh? Susie- Can't wait to hear about your weigh-in. I'm sure it went well. |
Hi Gals,
I had a small loss on Thursday, but at least it was moving the scales down in the right direction. I told my DH if he gets me any Easter candy that I'll kill him! Mindy: I'm happy for you that you got to change that ticker. Keep up whatever you are doing because it's working. Thanks for more info on the progesterone cream--I have had a hyst..I still have my ovaries. So it looks like I will have to use it differently than you? Kelly: It sounds like you have enjoyed your vacation and I would have bought the Med. too! Ward: Have you made it back yet? I've got to get some housework done. I'll catch up with you all tomorrow |
I went up a little bit today. Not sure why, but oh well. I worked my tail off today though. I stacked firewood, cleaned up the chicken yard and put up our new compost, manure container. that entailed shoveling a lot of crap. Man that was a ton of work. Then we went to dinner and when I got home I worked in my flower beds for a bit, then took my big mutt for a walk.
Here's the funny thing. Big mutt couldn't hang. He was all gung ho at first, but on the way back he was dragging butt. I think he needs to get in shape. I should take him more often. Problem is, he holds me back. :p Well, enough about my day. Susie- Any loss is a good loss. I hope your hubbie listened to you. He could get you flowers instead, or a book, or a workout shirt. NO CANDY!!! Keep up the good work. You are right about the cream. You would use it differently, but it could still help you. Outta check it out. |
